My bubs has lactose intolerance and that triggers his silent reflux. The paed. helped us to find the only formula that doesn't make him sick. That is Karicare De-Lact. Im finding it hard to get it as supermarkets don't stock it and very few chemists have it, most have to order it for you about 2 days prior. I found that it's easier to buy it on online chemists. I also saw that you can get it on presciption and therefore it's a lot cheaper. I rang my paed today to ask if he could write a prescription as it would me it easier to order and get delivered and it would help us to save money as we're really struggling at the moment. Thing is paed is on holidays for a month.
My question is do you think my gp would be able to write the prescription eventhough he hasn't been seeing bubs much?
Is there anyone who gets this Karicare De-Lact on prescription?

Any responses would be great. Thanks girls.

Yep, your GP would be able to write a prescription for this for you...although my understanding is that it is an 'authority prescription' where it has to be proven lactose intolerance so your GP probably hasn't got the history on what's happened with your bub if he's been seeing a paediatrician. So perhaps speak to your surgery about it and they can let you know whether to come in for an appt so you can arrange what is needed to get the script.

Good luck :)
