Hi all,
I need some advice as I am so frustrated! My hubby and I started TTC last month, part way through trying this month we decided to hold off as i need surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed. however, my AF is now 6 days overdue. I have done numerous HPT's which were negative, so went to the doctors for a blood test which I was told today is negative too.
For the last 5 months my AF was a perfect 28 day cycle, so the fact I am nearly a week overdue is concerning to me.
Is there any chance the test could be wrong? I dont want to have surgery if there may be a chance I am pregnant, despite all the negative HPT and blood test.

Hi and welcome to Bubhub

It IS possible to have a false negative result on both a HPT and a blood test if you're testing before implantation has occured.... But given that you're 6 days overdue, they SHOULD be giving you a reliable response.

Hmmm.... do you think it could be possible that you're late due to stress?

2 months before I found out I was pregnant with DS, I missed my period completely and we just couldn't find a reason for it.

i wasnt stressed leading up to all of this, we had already dealth with the fact it wouldnt happen for us this month and were just going to wait until after i had recovered from the surgery.
however, the last 6 days i have definitely been stressed, as the surgery is looming and i have to know for sure before i have it./
should i just cancel it? its for friday...

A friend of mine had a negative result from a blood test then was called back to the doctors a week later......they mixed her test up with someone elses. She actually was pregnant and this other girl wasnt. Rare, but it happens.
