Heeeeeeeelp!!!

DS used to love having a bath, now all of a sudden wont go near it. Screams if I even attempt to put him in it. :crying:

Have tried blowing bubbles, bath books, new toys, singing, daddy getting in. Nothing has worked.

He wont go near the shower either, so I am at my wits end with giving him a sponge bath every night. I dont really want to just put him in and make him get used to it again, that will just make him even more scared.

So if any of you have had this problem, please please please let me know how you resolved it! :fingerscrossed:

Thanks

We had this problem too. What we did was filled the bath right up and DBF got in with DD. He held her to him and told her it was okay while she cried and he just sat with her in the bath (she sat on his lap and had water up to her chest) and he showed her her bath toys. After 10 minutes she stopped crying and showed interest in her toys. We didn't bother washing her that night, just got her comfortable.
The next night she cried for 2 minutes (we did the same thing) and we got to wash her.
The third night she was really happy. The 4th night we put just a bit of water in the bath and laid her back in it (so she was lying on her back in the bath, the water didn't even come to her ears) and she cried for 1 minutes but we got her fave bath toy and distracted her and she has been fine ever since.
