My daughter has just fallen over and hit her head on the floor really hard... How do i know if she has a concussion? :crying:

She has a big egg above her eye.... She is pretty tired but i think that is from being up since 6am...

Take her straight to A&E - I'm sure she's fine but there is no point taking any chances with kids:kiss:

She is sitting up and watching TV now, and has stopped crying. Her eyes are normal... So should i just keep a close eye on her?

And another thing is there is no doctors open today as it is a public holiday here, so i would have to take her up to the hospital which would be packed!

I would take her straight to your GP. Ring ahead and explain what's happened, they will most likely see her straight away. If they don't go to Emergency. Better safe than sorry.

I've just read that it's a public holiday - go to Emergency, at least there the Triage Nurse can look her over immediately.

i just rang that 1300 health number and spoke to a nurse, they said just to keep a close eye on her and don't let her go to sleep for another hour. If she starts vomitting or not responsive to take her straight the the Emergency.
