This is going back 6 years now but used to get about $600 a fortnight I think, that was for one baby and including family tax payments and parenting payment and rent assistance. My partner got about $350 on Youth Allowance. It may have been meant to $400 MAYBE coz he had a Centrelink debt he had to pay $50 a fortnight off I think.
I think you'd get more now, actually definitely with 3 kids. However I think he'll have to claim unemployment for you to claim parenting payment. I think they try and claim it on your taxable income for that financial year or something too.
Don't worry, you don't get much but you should be ok :hugs:

You can go on parenting payment partnered, and family tax benefit payments, your dp can go on newstart allowance (depending on age) while he is looking for more work.
Your partner can get Newstart (looking for work allowance)
You can get PPP (parenting payment partnered) which goes off what your DP earns (less that 700 per week) and you might get some money there.
You should get FTB B (goes by lowest earner) its about 175 per fortnight for me (1child) You can get rent assistance with a rent certificate (they give you a form for your land lord to fill out) You will also get FTB A, but it goes by how much the highest income earner earns, the more you DP earns the less FTB A you will get.
Depending on where you live you can go onto jobseeker online and there is a "Harvet Trail' which shows lots of jobs in the farmng sector, they are generally easy to get, and most pay fairly well (not brilliant though) and they are mostly looking for workers all year round to he might get a job easier, if only temporary.

If hes getting a payout or redundancy it might be a while before your entitled to benefits though....
Best thing to do would be just call centrelink and tell them your situation and ask them what you can claim. That way its a deffinate. He might be too proud to go on benifits but better to do it asap just to be safe.
Good Luck
