View Full Version : Preg thru IVF thread 4wks - Birth (prev 4wks - 20 week scan #4)
Jetgirl- I would just eat what ever you can at the moment. If its toast, its toast. At least you are eating something, you need to keep yourself going. If you force yourself to eat something that makes you sick, I would think that would be worse. Dont worry, baby still gets all the nutrition from you, so dont worry, a few days on toast wont hurt. Tomato on toast did the trick for me:p and a cup of peppermint tea, helps with nausea.
Good idea those qustionaires. Gives us all a little more knowledge of each other. Only thing is, I have to remember everyone! Mushy baby brain. I have been getting so jumbled. I accidently put the ice cream in the fridge the other night. Had to be thrown out in the morning! I paid for my prescriptions at the chemist the other day, then walked out and left them behind. Oh well! Any other mushy-baby-brain stories?
Hi Ladies
Thanks for doing the profiles...its been a great read.
Zoe - Yeah i was getting bored and read it on another thread and decided to do one for us...some light entertainment.
baby brain...yes baby mushy brain here...i've burnt some veges on the stove that i put to steam...charcoal. YUCK.
NM - Glad the snooze made you feel better...its always a nice treat. Are u planning to go baby shopping at target??
Oh yes and thanks for the update on Meliko...i agree - she is sounding alot more positive.
Jojo - yup i plan to do some white lies myself at 36 weeks...lets see.
any tips on the white lies ladies??
Maorimama - how are u going today? how are ur pains???
Hi to anyone else I might have missed...sorry just can't remember what everyones been chatting about...brains been diverted.
AFM - Nothing to report...all good...leading a very "boring" pregnancy...its a good sign though. :goodvibes:
Oh I watched RPA yesterday and they showed identical twins delivery by c section at 32 weeks. They had to do the surgery immediately because the bubs cords were in knots and there was high risk of losing both babies so the parents had no choice but to do a c section at 32 weeks.
They both were doing well...they'll follow up on the twinnies next week to see how they are progressing along. So cute...got me thinking that my goodness...that could be me in 10 weeks time on the operation table if i am to have c section...got me all excited.

Morning All,
It's been great reading everyone's profiles .
NM yeah I am kinda itching to get started on washing baby's clothing, it'll be the first time I have done it :D. Thanks for the update on Meliko....so happy to hear her and her boys are well.
Bubbs I watched RPA last night too to catch the story of the twins....so lucky they have modern technology these days....My twins sisters had twin to twin transfusion and were quite sick at birth but this is going back 30yrs now and mum didn't even realise she was having twins until just before they were due.
Jojo do you mind me asking where in the Sunny Coast you stay? I'm heading back to Nth Brissy in Jan, would you be interested in maybe meeting up one day?
Jetgirl eat whatever you can keep down just to get some energy into yourself.....don't worry about bubs, they''ll get what they need from you. When I had really bad ms I found it difficult to keep anything down so just settled for whatever went.
Zoe don't get me started on baby brain....I am continuously putting things from the pantry into the fridge and things that should be in the fridge/freezer in the pantry . When we did the shopping on the weekend I was putting cans in the fridge and DH was most amused.
Not alot happening here....still getting really bad heartburn and feeling abit heady today...like I'm going to get a headache but it hasn't hit yet. My youngst two have their school gala today but I 'don't think I'll make it as I am feeling quite sore and achy.
I don't log on for one day and there is so much to catch up on
bubbs: I saw RPA last week but missed it this week. They showed the couple and how knotted the umbilical cords were on US. Glad the bubbas are doing well. I have to stop myself from watching those types of programs as they always make me cry when pregnant. I have also been getting bouts of nausea in the third trimester. Not sure what is setting it off though, but at least the majority of times I am not :barf: like I did with ms....
jetgirl: I agree with the others. Bubba only needs a small amount of stuff at the moment and will have first dibs on nutrients etc. Eat what you can as you will more than make up for it later on.
kimmy: Sounds like you have been having a very hard time with pains. It actually sounds like you are in prelabour.....with all the irregular contractions you are having. Lets hope that they are doing something and that you have a speedy delivery this time round.
dearmum: So glad that your DD has more fluid around her and that the twinnies are doing well. The pic of you and DH is gorgeous.
maorimama: I will be washing bubs clothes in the 4 weeks that I have off before bubba comes along. I will have more time on my hands then and can wash all of DS' old clothes, pram cover, car seat covers etc I always thought that subsequent labours were easier as well, but 2 of my friends have had longer, more traumatic births for their second so i am a bit nervous TBH. I also find it hard to get comfortable in bed. trying to roll from one side to the other takes a monumental effort! I can't wait to be more mobile again :D
NM: Poor Noah. I hope he gets better soon. Its so tough on little ones as there isn't much that they are able to safely take. Glad he enjoyed his day at preschool and so cute that he was shy to begin with.
heather: ohhh doesn't sound like much fun to be measuring your food intake but I guess it is all for the best. Glad that Tyler is moving about and letting you know he is doing well in there.
jojo: Sounds like you are having fun setting up the nursery. I am so envious as this bubba will not have its own little room. We have limited space so Leon will be in with us in the beginning and when old enough will share a room with DS. Sounds like the pillow is helping your back. I usually just use a normal pillow and squish a bit of it under my bump and wedge in between my knees.
Zoe: I have been suffering with a huge case of preggy brain as well. I'm really forgetful at the moment and have to write little messages on pot it notes etc to remind me to do things, like pay my rego and car insurance.
 to anyone that I haven't mentioned. Hope you are all doing well.
AFM: I stayed home from work yesterday due to the dust storms. Actually my boss text me just before 6:30am and said it was probably better for me to stay home as the weather in Sydney was shocking. It was amazing seeing how orange everything was. Poor DS had to stay indoors as not only was it dusty outside, but it was also blowing up a gale. I kept him entertained watching DVDs and playing with blocks etc We had a really nice relaxing day at home. OB appointment tomorrow and then off for the weekend to Port Stephens :smiliedance:
MM - that would be great, would love to catch up ! We live at Twin Waters, just North of Maroochydore ... where in Nth Brissy are you looking ? I think I will start washing bubbs clothes when I get the wardrobe so I can puth them away, I have the draws but will need more space
my3 - hopefully all the dust has settled for the weekend .. and that the weather is warm for you guys to end up having a great time in Port Stephens
bubbs - I record that episode of RPA .. can't wait to watch it ..
 to everyone else ... have enjoyed reading your profles, will be back to do more personals later ...
xo
Thanks for all the advice girls, where would we be without internet forums!!!
Just a quicky Hope you girls don't mind i had the thread name changed to 4wks - birth..
My3 - Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday!
MM - Better off doing it early i say, just incase you go early!
I'm off to put DS down for a sleep then taking him up to the hospital to get checked out again he was coughing like no tomorrow last night up until he went red it was like he was gasping for air! Knowing my luck i will get up there and he will stop

Congratulations on your name change  its about time.
Love the profile idea and will rob it for the 4-20 early 2010 thread.
Hi Ladies:wave:
Just a quick one from me today.
Just got back from midwives, they think i'm fine and in for the long haul, so 28 days here I come... She said all my signs could be other things, so thats it for me I just have to wait and see what happens.
better run..
Kimmy:)
NM: Forgot to mention before that its great to hear that Melkio and the boys are doing well. Let her know we are thinking about her and bubbies and great to hear that they should be able to go out of their humidcribs by next week :yelclap: Love the names that have been picked out for the boys as well. Poor Noah. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to be seen at the hospital.
jojo: I also hope that the weather will be nice for the weekend. I think Sydney is going to be windy, but hopefully Port Stephens will be nice so that DS can play at the beach.
kimmy: Glad midwife appointment went well. I guess if you are in it for the long haul then it will be better for Dylan in the long run as he will get to grow a bit more being being born
Kimmy - That's great news!
My3 - Best part i don't have to wait in the ED i go straight to Kids ward!

Kimmy- thats good news. I bet you cant wait though! You must be getting quite uncomfortable.
NM- Yes thanks for the update on Meliko. Glad to hear all is going well now, so good they will be out of their humidcribs soon. Sorry to hear about DS not being well. Hope all goes well at the hospital. Yes the name change is good, since we are all still here after 20 weeks!
MM- Well I am a little way off before I need to start washing clothes, but I thought i would start about 4 weeks from my due date. Only because I want to have hospital bag packed and ready just in case. Though I am having a pretty easy pregnancy, I think I will go all the way, though having said that I was 2 weeks late to be born myself! So maybe it will be a little early for me to start then... dont know.
Bubbs- Which chanel is RPA on? I would love to see it. Shame about those veges, guess there were no veges on the menu that night!
MY3- Yes writting notes is a good idea, except I forget to look at them! Hope you are having better luck than I am!
Sorry to anyone I have missed.
Well I have not told my family of baby's gender. They all think DH and I dont know as we originally said we wouldnt find out. But now we weill leave the suprize for the rallies. My Aunty thinks bubba is a girl, Mum is so convinced bubba is a boy she bought him some little blue booties yesterday:laughing:, I said wht if bubba is a girl?, you will have to put pink bows on them! She is so convinced he is a boy that she didnt even stop to consider that bubba could be a girl! :D
Well I have been getting so much done here lately! Im so happy. I have started on cleaning out the spare room as it will be the nursery, and no point leaving it till the last minute. As long as I get at least one 'big job' out of the way per day, I am happy, as well as all the small things of course, such as washing, floors, paying bills, shopping yada yada yada....
Only today the horses got into the hay paddock again, so that took me awhile getting them out. I just wanted to flop on the ground and bawl, but some how I held it together. Probably the fact that I cant 'flop' now even if I wanted to!
I can officially now say that I have started to get nausea in my 2nd trimester - well i guess being pregnant with twins, i classify myself as 3rd trimester :D
but seriously its like going back to first trimester again wtih nausea. :(
Luckily I haven't vomitted...and hope i don't...just need to be careful with what i eat thats all...
Having some peppermint tea now to settle it down a bit.
Zoe = Take it easy hun...don't over to it ok.
Kimmy - Glad to hear that Dylan is doing well. Looks like u will be going full term...well hun...enjoy being pregnant in the last few weeks. I am looking forward to getting that text from u though of Dylans arrival.
NM - Goodluck at the hospital. I hope they can figure out why DS is coughing so much...poor baby.
my3boys - I love programs like that in regards to birth. I wish they had a special channel on birthing and bringing up new borns etc etc...so informative. I luv it.
I actually wanted to be a midwife and its always been my interest this whole birthing thing...dunno why.
My work colleagues assumed i wouldn't be in yesterday either due to the dust storm but i got a lift right into work so wasn't much of an issue for me and stayed indoors all day.
Am feeling really bored at work...can't wait to finish...another few hours to go though. trying to entertain myself.
Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I've logged on, but I'm pleased to see everyone's doing well.
Zoe85, I had to have a chuckle about your gender secret. That's so funny. And so sweet of your mum. We haven't found out the gender (I'm 23 wks, so I'm lasting well!) and my mum is convinced it's a boy as well. Although I think that has something to do with the figures I told her about most IVF babies being boys. Everyone around me seems to think it's a boy, except one rather lovely nurse I work with who said the other day 'it's a girl'. That was a nice feeling.
Oh, but my most exciting piece of news (before I finish babbling) is that I was in a cafe the other day and the girl at the register asked me 'when's the bub due?'!!!! She guessed I was pregnant so that got me very excited. I'm pleased I don't just look fat anymore, he he.
Bubbs, sorry to hear you have ms back. That's terrible hon. I am getting bad reflux this week, so I hope I'm not going to follow in your footsteps. What's worse is I have a dentist appointment this afternoon! ek! I think I'll brush my teeth right before I go in to see him.
Crystar - I think its more heartburn then nausea...which is very common as u get bigger...tummy moves up and thats why they say to eat small meals so that u can avoid heartburn... hmmm.
The joys of being pregnant.
Zoe - RPA is on Channel 9 on Wednesdays at 8.30pm to 9pm. :)

Hey girls,
Well finally getting a minute to get on here even though still at work. I'm on the late shift this week which is tiring. Went to work yesterady but had a tissue over face, the dust got into everything!!
Jetgirl, i had ms for 17 weeks and was worried bubby wasn't getting any nutrition. All i could keep down each day was a toasted cheese and tom sw. My ob said that it was taking the tiniest bit from me so i might feel like crap but it was getting what it needed. If it went past this time than i would have needed medication as 2nd trimester you need to gain weight. Don't worry just yet but i do hope you don't have too hard a time with it:hugs:
NM - Hope Noah is feeling better. Sounds like he has been in the wars and i bet the dust storm yesterday didn't help any. You take care of you too.
Bubbs - Funny you should say that about the nausea, i have felt mine coming back the last week. Especially strong smells again and straight after bfast. I haven't hurled yet but i am dryretching an awful lot. I will not be impressed if i get it back!
Zoe - Talk about pregnancy brain. Last night i put the tortillas inthe microwave for 60 minutes instead of 60 seconds! I only noticed after 4 mins!! so we ended up having our meal on hamburger rolls. I felt so bad for dh as he was looking forward to it. How stupid can you get!
Kimmy - Glad they think you will make it all the way but take it easy. These aches are obviously your bodies way of telling you, you need to rest and you should get as much now as you can as you will be pretty busy once bubs is here.
Heather -Glad all is ok with Tyler.
My3boyz - Hope all is well with you too.
AFM - I might make my 1st full week in a while. My pelvis is under control mostly with the restrictions i have been placed on and the girdle band and painkillers. Had the worst cramp in my leg yesterday 4am and it ached the whole day. Otherwise am 26 weeks today.
We're going out on weekend to get some more stuff for the nursery just to finish it off. As for washing, i am going to start on the neutral stuff we have until i get the sex confirmed again on Tuesday. Any suggestions for a waashing powder that is gentle on baby?
Well will try to get on here a bit more next week. So far on roster but as of oct 11th due to new train timetable, i am going to be permanent shift for rest of my time here as they brought the times forward and i would have to wait an extra 30 mins each shift. So wasn't going to put up with that.
Take care
xo

NM hope all goes well at the hospital with Noah. Yeah I think I'll start washing bubs' things from 30wks....best to be prepared incase of a surprise.
Jojo that would be so cool. We are mocing back to Morayfield or within that locality anyway.....we would both love to go to Elimbah but we'll see what's available when we arrive. You are not that far away :yelclap:.
Kimmy wouldn't it be nice to go into labour maybe the day or so before your induction? That way you can ease into it....I still dream about going naturally.
M3B ooh that's right it's your weekend away.....have a fabulous time with DS and DH.
Ibb I experienced an awful cramp in my calf a few weeks ago and was sore for an entire day afterwards . Woohoo 26wks weeks.
Bubbs isn't feeling :barf:awful this far in? I h ave had heartburn basically from ET I think due to the high levels of progesterone and it has progressively gotten worse the further I have gotten. Most days now I feel very nauseous all day long and a few times I have refluxed into my mouth but it's gone back down....YUK!!!!!!! I haven't found anything that eases it sadly.
Dearmum I always wash anything new...but that's me, a habit I got from my mum :D.
I forget who asked about what type of soap powder to use for babies clothes....I have always used Lux flakes until they were about 6mths and washed their clothes seperately from the rest of the family. It seems like a hassel but believe me in the first few months you change them so many times in one day that they soon have a load of their own to be washed. After about 6mths I would just wash them with our regular soap powder in with the rest of the washing.
Well I ended up going back to bed today.....felt really sick, still don't feel 100% but dinner is calling to be made.
Hi Ladies,
Food for thought.
Tonight I was watching Today Tonight and they had a thing (cant think what its called-baby mushy brain!) on BPA in plastic bottles, including baby bottles.
They said its a chemical in the plastic that leaks out into the food or drink when it is cold or hot/heated. Appartently it can cause all sorts of problems, including;
Infertility
Problems with reproductive system
neural and behavioural development in foetuses, infants and children
Early puberty in girls
Obesity
Breast and prostate cancer
Diabetes
Thyroid malfunction
Attention disorders
Other diseases
This chemical is also found in toddler sippy cups, plastic table ware, aluminium cans, food storage containers and any othe hard plastics. Its also found in the white liner in some tinned food cans.
There are no regulations in Australia that condem this chemical, but only in Denmark, Canada and some US states. There is an alternative baby bottle called 'Smart Baby' that is free of this chemical and apparently is in store in some chemists and online. Glass bottles are also safe.
Sorry for the whole 'alert' thing, just thought you would like to know. I certaintly did. Sorry to those who have already seen the show, to read through all this again!
For more info I think its on the Today Tonight website. I am about to google BPA and Smart Baby bottles now.

Zoe - We did the same thing with DS but everyone knew we knew bubs gender, it was nice for everyone to have a surprise
Bubbs - You poor thing, i hope it's just a one off, i'm still nausea and sick every now and then
Crystar - YAY for your pregnant belly
DM - I washed all of DS clothes before he was born
ibb - I started off using nappysan but you can buy sensitve washing liquid for washing babies clothes in. I still wash all of DS clothes seperately but used our washing powder when he was about 6mths old
Not much happening here i ended up taking DS to the hospital for a check up his coughing was getting worse he coughs so much he can't get a breath, we spent a few hours in hospital yesterday and was seen straight away thank goodness. They ended up doing a snot test which was so grose it was making me dry reach. Apparently there are 2 virius going around at the moment and kiddies are given nothing to treat it so hopefully DS gets better soon. I am hoping they just call me today and don't make me go back down there so he can have another check up, DS gets distressed as soon as i sit him down on the bed
Morning Ladies:wave:

Kathy gorgeous belly shot :yelclap:.
Dearmum I won't be able to do lunch during the holidays while the kids are off school...maybe if you're up to it once they go back. I think it would be more a roll than a stroll .
NM poor Noah....it's so awful when they are sick and there is nothing that can be done about it.
Ibb congrats on your friends daughter....you'll have your bub in your arms before too long.
JCR I hope your bp settles....I have essential hypertension but thankfully this pregnancy it has actually been on the low side. Hope all goes well with your scan.
Zoe thanks for that info...I breastfed but would express for a bit of mummy time out. It's pretty frightening to think of what we expose ourselves to on a daily basis.
M3b have a fab time away this weekend.
Has anyone experienced unbelieveable thirst? Last night I drank about 2.5 litres before bed I was so thirsty....even through the night I wanted to drink....but I paid for it by getting up and down to the loo all night.....feeling a bit battered now from lack of sleep.
Hi Ladies,
Dearmum - Yup i've got my belly in the way...i keep knocking it on either the kitchen sink or leaning right on the belly until i realise that somethings hurting me...and even with cooking...get it pretty heated. Poor bubbas. :o
Sorry to hear taht u're sad that u'll be missing the royal show...next year u'll have ur arms full with two so u'll get double the joy...
Maorimama - Nope haven't experienced that thirst yet...although i drink throughout the day...3 x 600ml of water i consume at work and then when i get home as well i have a few glasses.
I hope u get a chance to sleep during the day...try to take it easy.
NM - I hope ur DS gets better fast...must be so hard when bubs are so clingy and don't let go of you. u take it easy too hun.
Ibb - Congrats on ur friends baby...yeah i think we're all getting to that stage now where we want to hold the babies in our arms. 9 months is a LONG LONG WAIT...
JCR - I hope that you get some time to relax this weekend to keep that BP low. And hope that ur U/S goes well and that low lying placenta has moved for your sake.
Zoe - I have a colleague whos given me a "born free - The smart glass bottle" so will try it out for sure. There is just so much out there...in reality if we avoided it all...it hink we'd all be in a better place.
Hope the rest of you are doing well.
I'll log back in a little later adn update...just got something urgent to do at work so need to log out... :D
Back Soon
Bubbs - It sure is plus it's tiring as he only wants me. I don't get alot of sleep when he gets sick i worry to much and listen to him breathing
kathy - Gorgeous belly
MM - I was like that with Noah but i was like that all day and most of the night i was always waking for a drink. It's so annoying as you end up peeing most of the night
DM - I hate it when he is sick the way he is atm all clingy only wanting me i can't do anything for him but cuddle him. it's also tiring and a little draining as well. YAY for school holidays
I bought DS some little baby haviana's OMG they are so cute, i took DS to the shops to grab some grocerys and let him walk into the shops he would walk a few steps then watch his feet in his thongs!
NM - I can only imagine how clingy he must be...
Glad he liked his thongs. How cute. :p
AFm = Am doing well...had the worst nights sleep last night...just couldn't get comfortable...pelvis was sore, leg was sore...just kept tossing and turning...very frustrating.
Am just very glad its friday today...looking forward to going home.
DH came home last night and said that he met up with one of his customers who does 4d scan and apparantly DH must have mentioned that we're having twins and are looking at doing a 4d scan...so the lady told us that if u are having twins, to do teh 4d scan at 24 to 26 weeks to get a better view of the babies...but if it was a single pregnancy then 28 to 30 weeks is fine.
Anyway Dh told her that am in week 25...so the lady said ok come in on saturday and we'll do a scan and its on us. How sweet...
I get to see my babies tomorrow...i can't wait. :smiliedance: :yelclap:
They've told us to bring 5 songs in a cd so they'll put the music behind the pics/dvd..
Other then that not much else exciting is happening...went to babies r us as they have a sale on at the moment...They've got bassinets from 239 to 139 now...we've also got an auction happening on sunday for love n care brand so thinking of going there to see if we can strike any good deals on some baby items. A colleague told me about it...she apparantly got her bassinet from there for $50...what a bargain.
So looking forward to that.
Hello My precious girls
Thank you so much for your kind words. My world was shattered after a ultrasound last Thursday confirmed that our darling little boy had passed away. It was a feeling that I would not want any parent to feel. His precious little body looked so perfect, I dont know how someone could take someone so perfect away from us. His funeral is tomorrow and its going to be the hardest day in my life.
On a possitive, my little Xavior and Caleb are my entire world. I love being a mummy, they are just so beautifull! They are doing so well, breathing all by them selves with no medical intervention, the only help they are getting is heat to keep their temperature at level. We have cuddles with them every night before bedtime and its the most amazing feeling in the world. They are just so perfect. I love all 3 of my little boys so much.
Thank you all so much for the support during my pregnancy. your all amazing people!
Love you all! I will be still floating around to keep an eye on your stories.
Meinda xxxx

:hugs: Meliko it is so lovely to hear from you....you have never been far from my thoughts and I am so happy to hear how well Xavior and Caleb are doing. I can only imagine how hard tomorrow will be for you and your loved ones....I will be thinking of you all.
Much love MMama :hugs:
Meinda,
Its so nice to see you on here. Have been thinking of you. I can't imagine the joy and grief you both must be experiencing. My love and prayers for you both and your family tomorrow.
On a happier note, so pleased both boys are thriving and can't wait to see pictures.:hugs:
Hi Ladies
:hugs:Meliko....Babe i have had you on my mind since you had your little ones,i cant say enough how sorry i am to hear about your loss:hugs:and its not going to be easy on you or your DH tomorrow.Hun my baby Shaheed would have been 1 today:(i know how hard it is to give birth and to let them go although you never let them go:crying:my Shaheed will look out for your little one.
Babe just remember your very blessed with two healthy bubbs and one angel that will look out for you.In Islam its a blessing to have a boy angel as he will pray for you to go to heaven and because he has no sins his wish will be granted.
Wishing you and your family all the best XX
Dearmum - :hugs: to you on Shaheed's 1st birthday. Hope you have a lovely memorial day today. xo
Hey girls,
Not sure if you're interested but i have started selling nutrimetics on the side. Have been a customer for 10+ years and decided to get in on the act. Have a website where you can order online and get goods delivered to your door. Don't think i am allowed to post the link here but if you're interested, pm me or you can find me on facebook under Stephanie Wells, Blackwall.
Have a great day!
Meliko- So very happy to hear from you, and also so very sad. Your words rang through me and I feel emotional for you. Tears came to my eyes when you said Baileys funeral is tomorrow. Godspeed.
Oh a happier note, I am very pleased to hear your other precious little gems are doing. It must be a fantasic feeling, congratulations.
I got on here last night and wrote a post, then, for some reason it wouldnt go through, and I lost it all. :hair: Anyway, catn remember exactly what I had said, but I remember saying to Kathy what a nice belly shot. I am about the same size now. Though I am normally quite thin, I have big hips and my hip bones always stick out past my normally flat tummy. Now, my bum looks like its trying to catch up to my belly! And I cant see my hips anymore.:hissy::laughing: I have put on quite a bit of weight since being pregnant (7kg! already) but Kathy, you look great, and are holding it well. Good on you.
Prehaps most of my weight gain is due to I eat sooooooo much!!!! OMG, I cant believe it. I am normally a big eater anyway, but this is ridiculas, I am actually getting sick and tired of eating! I guess my body is asking for it, so it must need it, or I feel sick. Ther other day DH and I were passing through a small town, and we stopped at a bakery. I ate: 1 pie, 1 sausage roll, 1 quiche, 1 jam donut and a mug of hot chocolate! And on the way home I complained I could have done with another donut!
In a typical day I can eat: 2 pieces of toast, 2-3 malted milks, 2 carrots, 1 pear, 1 apple, a bowl of mueslie, four scrambled eggs or salmon on toast (lunch) as well as dinner, and I snack on nuts and dried fruit and inbetween meals if I am hungry I will look about for more, or have another malted milk or fruit or vege. This eating buisness is really exhausting! My gosh, talking of food is making me hungry, Im off to scout about for food.:goodvibes: Will post again later!
I'm back!:goodvibes:
Sometimes I crave greasy foods, which is why I love scrambled eggs (with butter) on toast, salmon on toast or toasted cheese sandwich. I was going to have and egg on bread, but since the only bread we have at the moment is normal bread, I couldnt. (allergic to yeast)
So my first malted milk for the day. Nestle malted milk is high in calcium, and has not added cane sugar, unlike horlicks. If you ladies are interested. Prehaps that was a bit of useless information!
Anyway, sorry for the babble, but while I was hunting for food in the kitchen, I was wondering what you girls eat. I am so paranoid, because pregnant women are told you cant eat this, you cant eat that, you cant eat it if its not a certain temperature. If DH and I are on our way home late, we stop and have a meal. I always order some meat and veg which I eat, but if the meal comes with salad I wont eat it, because I was told by my FS that a high risk of listeria runs in pre-made salads in resturants. I know I am probably better off with the salad then the parma, but if there could be risk for baby, I wont touch it. What are your thoughts?
I would love to hear what you girls eat, at home and out. It may give me inspiration to try some new things, or not be worried about others. Also its just good to hear how everyone is going and how you go about your eating, do you think?:ecomcity::ecomcity: Sorry......
Me again! Sorry for some many posts and babble, I have bad case of mushy baby brain this morning.
DM- So your little angel would be one now? You must have mixed feelings, happy and sad. :hugs:for you. What does Shaheed mean?
Bubbs - Sounds like you picked up some bargins, great news about your 3/4D scan
Meliko - It's great to hear your boys are doing so well, i can't wait to see photo's.. My thoughts are with you and DH today!
Zoe - Hun your not the only one eating like a horse, i always stick away from the foods you shouldnt eat other then that i eat what ever i crave.. Don't worry about the babble huni we all do it.
DM - I know what you mean in a way, i know my babies didn't make it as far as your little one. Every time my due date rolls around for my 4 angels i'm always thinking what if, and get a little teary. I actually got a tattoo in memory of them, i have to get one more added and i pray i will never have to add to it again
AFM - DS is doing so much better today no coughing last night and no runny nose today he is still not 100% himself but what more could i ask for atm.. Bubbs has been moving alot DH still hasn't felt a kick (she is cheeky and stops when you put a hand on my belly) but he has felt where she is so he is happy with that for now
Hi Ladies
Yesterday was a teary day for me i spent alot of it in the shower crying to myself coz guys dont have the same feeling.Feeling better today and i have to remember god has been good to me as he has blessed me with twinnies now.
Today we are all having a clean up day not something i like doing on a weekend but oh well.
I have my oldest son coming home to live for a while coz we kicked him and his mates out of our rental home coz he didnt pay rent for 6 weeks,so now my DD is moving in so iv made one mad and one happy cant keep them all happy i guess. So yeh just when ya think ya home is getting clean having less kids they come back:laughing:
Hi NM.....Awww so glad your DS is feeling more like himself today, give him a cuddle from me.
Hi Zoe....I eat everything:oyeh i figure iv had 5 kids without a problem why fuss now,so i eat me take aways and everything the only thing i do stay away from is cold meats coz i know they go off quick.I think eat what your body wants. As for my sons name Shaheed it means "go to heaven" so thats why we chose that name we are also islam and thats a islam name.
DM- Sorry to hear yesterday was a sad day for you. I know I have had days like that too, its not a nice feeling. My hubby is Middle Eastern, I probably could have asked him what Shaheed meant, but I only just thought of it. But that is why I was curious as to what the name meant.
Hubby does not mind the nationality of baby's name, so long as it suits us, but I know he would love bubba to have an arabic name....
We breed Arab horses, and one of our stallions is name Azeem, which means 'the great one'. DH thought that would be nice for bubba, but I am not calling our baby Azeem....lol Although I have considered a number of Arabic names..... ( some nice ones for girls, but I could not get attached to any boys names...)
Its been very quiet in here today. I have been on here a few times, as you will all see.
Well Dh and I were going to have anice relaxing night in, and watch a movie. He went over this morning to fix a pump and whipper snipper for a friend of ours and she invited herself over for dinner! She then rang me and laughed that she invited herself over for dinner, she thought it was great fun, but not once did she ask if it was ok....:banghead: How rude. I should turn the lights off and lock the doors when she comes here! When she rings us to find out where we are, I could just say we were going out for dinner, how was I to know she didnt realise.... lol:devil6::devil:

good morning ladies i hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
jcr sorry to hear of the high bp, hope if goes down. hope your ob appt goes well on wed i too have an antenatal appt on wed.
oh weekly visits how good is that?! means bubbas arrival is closer and closer.
when do they normally put you on weekly visits?
this week i will be almost 33weeks then i assume they will see me in 2 weeks making me almost 35 weeks but if they do 2 weeks after that it will be 37 weeks. i thought as of 36 weeks it was weekly???
dearmum sorry to hear of your sad day. :hugs: to you, i can not imagine how it felt with shaheeds 1st birthday arriving but not having him physically there with you.
glad to hear you are washing the twins stuff, i did mine a while ago but everytime we buy something new(cothing or blankets) i have to wash it. i use our normal detergent with napisan.
sorry to hear you burnt your belly i cant say i have done that yet although i have noticed it does catch lots of crumbs if i eat something crumbly:laughing:.
when it comes to renting out your property i think you have to do what you have to do and if it upsets your son but makes your daughter happy well then that is the way it has to be. i am sure if your daughter was the one not paying the rent you would do the same thing.
cant please everyone.
:shame: naughty naughty dearmum for eating what you like, gotta be careful with the gestational diabetes.
kathy w nice belly shot, hope you are well.
maorimama how did your glucose test go?
do u have gestational diabetes? being thirsty all the time can be a sign of diabetes but i hope this was not the case. maybe you were just dehydrated?
bubbs sorry to hear you have not been sleeping all that well. it sucks not being able to get comfy. sorry to hear your legs and pelvis hurt. i wake up with sore hips and stomach and back. the back usually goes away until i bend a fair bit and the hips go away after a while but i find when i am asleep i get sore from laying in the one position for ages. my belly just seems to be sore all the time probably as tyler is getting bigger.
how did the 4d scan go?
ibb good on you for selling nutrimetics, i use to sell it years ago when i was in year 12 at school but i didnt really make any money out of it as most of it was me buying it. as i was at school i didnt have time to find clients really. i dont use it anymore as i have found products i prefer more.
how are you and the bubba going?
zoe haha lmao at your thinking about going out for dinner and letting your friend arrive at your house. did you do it? i find it really rude when people invite themselves to stuff i hope i am not one of those people. dont worry about being a big eater, i was a big eater before being pregnant and my metabolisim was really good, i could eat whatever i wanted and not gain weight. since being pregnant dh and i believe i am eating less than before being pregnant. now that i have gestational diabetes i have to watch what i eat as i dont want to be put on insulin so at the moment i just watch what i eat and monitor my blood glucose levels 4 times a day.
noahsmum glad to hear noah is on the mend. our goddaughter was in hospital a week ago with gastro but we couldnt visit her incase i got sick being pregnant and all. she is all better now but is a little clingy to her mum atm cos she is also teething.
your little girl isnt silly she knows her dad is trying to feel her so she is stopping her movements haha. tyler use to do the same thing earlier on but now he is kicking/punching up a storm so dh doesnt even have to feel my belly he can just see it moving about haha.
meliko a big hello to you.
glad to hear that xavior and caleb are doing well.
their brother is watching over them i am sure.
how are you and dh holding up?
afm all seems to be well. tyler is still wriggling around heaps but some of his movements feel a little wierd at times. yesterday he was hurting me a bit, sometimes he was moving about and it felt like he was punching me in the vejayjay.
gestational diabetes is going better now i am mointoring what i eat. i have to fax off my results 2 times a week(tues and fri) and then the clinic rings me back to tell me what to do.
i am really hoping that the diabetes goes away after tyler is born as i am so craving a big fat piece of mudcake with cream in the middle.
antenatal is on wednesday which i assume is going to be as boring as the last one(all of 5 mins just checking the fundal height, tylers heart rate, my bp and ask how i feel).
well the stretch marks seem to be popping up a little more each day i think which sucks but it is worth it having tyler. i started to notice them appearing on my boobs so i am now wearing a bra 24/7 except if having a shower because i believe it is because i was not wearing a bra in the evening and when i went to bed so my boobs were flopping around where they liked.
dh is at work today so i am cooking a roast for dinner, yummo. wonder if it makes my sugar levels go up???
hello to everyone i have missed.

just shaved my legs, underarms, downstairs and belly.
i dont think downstairs is going to get done again before tyler arrives, it was an effort!
DM - I know what you mean! how are you feeling today?
Heather - DS use to do the same thing to him when he first started kicking LOL.. I use to put a cold pack on my belly and watch DS kick it off.. Oh i know that feeling because DS was breeched his kicks made it feel like a foot was going to come out of the vajaja. I wear bras to bed as well otherwise my boobs hurt. The stretchies will go over time.. LOL about the shaving, i did down stairs the day before i had DS i did as much as i could and DH had to help out LOL
AFM - DS is doing so much better today no coughing last night and no runny nose yesterday bit it's back today due to the drop in weather he is still not 100% himself but what more could i ask for atm.. Our renovations have been in full swing this weekend, bubs builtin wardrobe just needs a shelf and then i can start painting in her room, my bathroom needs 20 tiles to go roof painted and vanity, taps etc to go and my kitchen is being tiled right now YAY... I can then get on with painting the kitchen hallway bubs room hopefully next week. I'm so annoyed with Forty winks i ordered DS bed 6weeks ago i was told it would take 6weeks to come in, now i have to wait another 3 weeks because of his hold up i can't paint his room arghhhh
Hi girls! Wow everyone is getting so close now!! I am 20 weeks now.. Still havent felt too much movement - is this normal?? Hope so.. I was feeling fluttery sort of things a few weeks ago, but not so much now.. sometimes if I have my hand on my belly resting, i can feel little things but is that kicking? Cos cant really feel anything much from just when i sit down.. Any advice appreciated!!
Kathy

Zoe a typical day's diet for me consists of cereal and milk for brekky, salad sandwich for lunch, meat and vegies for dinner and snacks of fruit, sweets, smoothies during the day. I drink the odd hot drink but crave water atm. My portion sizes vary due to how I am feeling but even with this diet I have put on a huge amount of weight.....I weighed about 58kgs at EPU and am currently sitting at 79kgs so I can't really explain the gain.
Dearmum :hugs: I knew Shaheed's b'day was coming up but didn't realise it was this close....big hugs to you hon that must have been a very emotional day.
Heather I haven't gotten the results of my GTT yet....my Dr wanted me to go back once I had had the scan on my gallbladder which isn't till this Wed, so I'll get the results of both by the end of next week. There is type 1 diabetes in my family which is why my thirst kinda sparked the thought that I may be boarder line but I haven't had it in the past so :fingerscrossed: all is normal this time round too. I too have been getting sharp pains in my v-jayjay and cervix, not too sure what to make of them. I tend to find antenatal appts very fast too, like they just want to get through their workload asap. How much longer do you have now?
Kathy is this your first? Sorry my baby brain can't remember.....with my first I was around your stage when I first started feeling flutters and over a few weeks they became more obvious.
NM glad to hear that Noah is on the mend. Ooh will you post pics of bubs nursery once you have finished? Furniture places always seem to be late with their deliveries....makes it very frustrating. When we first arrived in Oz we brought new furniture and were told it would take 6wks for some of it to arrive, but it actually took about 10 so we lived very sparsely to start with.
Hi ladies,
Heather- No I didnt pull the 'we're out' trick. Darn it all! Not to worry, I got a few little self satisfactions for the night. It ended up being a good one. Yes I used to eat lots and lots and never put on the weight, but I am deffinately eating more now, and surely putting more on! Oh well. I am normally 60kg for 5'9". I had my foot operation last year and couldnt move around so well for months, then I had a lapraoscopy as well as my ovum pick ups, so I really was not so active for awhile, so I put on 5kg. I am now 74kg at only 23 weeks, and I feel so huge. I am starting to feel a little self consious, as I always wanted to look a radiant preggie, but now just feel like a fatty. I always wanted to have a big belly full of arms and legs, but its my but and thighs that are really getting to me. Sigh....
MM-You are a lot further along than me, so I would expect you to be bigger than me. Thanks for letting me know what you eat, it helps for me to know what others eat, I dont know why, it just gives me piece of mind. I went off bananas last year, but now cut up 'nana on toast is a big hit with me at the moment...
Kathy- Everyone is different, but you are perfectly normal. Some women dont feel any movement untill 20 weeks. I started feeling movement at 15 weeks, it was like bubbles popping in my tummy, but that was early. I started feeling kicks with my hand at 17 weeks, but it runs in my family to have baby movement early. ( I really dont know if it works like that, but thats how it seems) When I first felt movement, I didnt feel it for another week after, I was not worried because I knew that could happen. So dont worry, if you have already felt movement thats great.
NM- Glad to hear DS is doing much better, shoot about 40 winks. I know what a pain it is, and its so inconveniant. Well maybe there is a reason for it.......
Im being called away for dessert:p catch you all later!
Kathy - I'm just over 21weeks, everyone is different when it comes to movement. With DS i felt flutters quite early but i wouldn't feel them every day, same when DS started kicking. What your feeling could be kicks they sure do feel very different to flutters
MM - yeah i will! It's just so annoying the same thign happened when we ordered a 2nd lounge they said 4weeks and 6wks later i still hadn't heard i was really annoyed as the lounge was getting made local. I called them up and apparently my lounge had been sitting there for 2weeks i had a go at them and they gave me free delivery when we received our lounge it was made in the wrong colour! We kept the lounge but i was so annoyed
AFM - Well lots happening here over the weekend, bubs has been kicking up a storm, DH just has one more coat of plaster and the shelf to go in bubs built in and i can start painting, my kitchen tiles have been layed so my kitchen is just about finished and my bathroom has about 8 tiles to go and it's just about finished. It's so exciting to finally see everything coming together. I picked paint for bubs room as well as DS room i wanted to have a change for him since he is going into a big boy bed and getting a new quilt hehe
Good morning ladies ...
Kathy - I am now 22 weeks and constantly feel movements but have only really noticed it in the last couple weeks .. I felt the odd flutter from about 18 weeks but being my first pregnancy I really wasn't sure what it was ... as NM says, everyone is different, you will feel you little cherub soon . .I was reading over the weekend that bubbas are most active between 24-28 weeks ... so hold onto your hat  and gorgeous belly shot ... perfectly rounded ..
NM - so glad that Noah is feeling better .... poor little boy, I hope he is excited about moving into his big boy room ...
MM - Morayfield is that not far at all .. pretty much all hwy between us and there .. will be great to finally catch up :smiliedance: have your pains reared their ugly head again ??? Hopefully you have remained pain free and get the all clear from your scan this week ...
Zoe - luckily your night turned out OK, I hate it when people invite themselves, always a hard to say NO! .. I am sure you do look like a radiant pregnant lady !!! Your weight gain doesn't seem excessive ... be kind to yourself ... you have an important passenger on board ... and by the way .. you and your horses were in my dreams last night .. I was stuck in this bizarre sweedish house with only tennis rackets to protect my .. but you and your ponies game to rescue me .. my dreams are getting more weird as I get more pregnant .. sooo bizarre ... .. as for food .. I have first brekkie, 2nd brekkie, lunch afternoon tea and then dinner .. my portion size is geting smaller as I get bad wind and indegiestion if I try to eat too much .. so I eat the same just spread it out all day .. I have already put on 6.5kgs
Bubbs - how you doing ?? Did I read you had a 4D scan ? What was it like ? Only a couple more weeks of work for you :yelclap: then time to focus on that nursery .. how exciting ... and you will also be able to have a nap during the day to catch up on the sleep you are missing at night time.
Heather - hope you enjoyed your roast .. i love roast meat and vegies !! I too was worried about stretch marks earlier .. but the other ladies on this thread that already had bubbas help me put it all into perspective .. I still lather myself with bio oil morning and night but know that I will still end up with stretch marks .. it will be a life long reminder of my precious babies and that is something I can deal with .. you seem to be doing a good job with your diabetes monitoring ... do you feel any better for cutting out the bad foods from your diet ??
Kimmy- Hi, how are you and Dylan doing ?
JCR - sorry to hear your BP is high ... hoping it calms down and your get a good report at your next OB visit ... :hugs:
ibb - nice work setting up a little business on the side, hoping it goes really well for you !
my3 - hello hon, how you doing ? I hope you had a lovely weekend away ..
hi to everyone else I have missed - hope you are all well ..
AFM = doing well .. DH took some photos last night and my belly surely has grown in the last 4 weeks ... I hope it doesn't cotinue to grow at this rate .. I will literally be the size of a COW  .. we are still debating names ... but are thinking Noah James (my DH middle name is James) and for our precious girl .. Zoe or Summer .. or the two together is some combination .. feeling alot more movement and kicks now, DH can also feel them .. and I am sure I actually saw my belly move yesterday .. but maybe wishful thinking ..
Hope you are all well ... have a great day ..
Hi Ladies,
Meliko - :hugs:So lovely to hear from you...and I can only imagine how shattered you must have felt to hear about baby bailey...He will be watching over you all.
And so thrilled to hear that baby Xavier & Caleb are thriving...how exciting to wait for those cuddles at night. How long are they expected to stay in hospital and how are u recovering from ur ceasarean???
Been thinking of you alot hun.
Zoe - Just eat what you feel like hun...worry about losing the weight later...if u are feeling hungry and craving food...then surely have it. Ur body probably needs it. :D
What was ur dessert treat???
NM - cheez renovation...don't remind me. I hate them to the core. We did renovation when we bought our house and it was a nightmare to live whilst the renovation was being done. Boy was i glad once it was over.
Jojo - Where did u go away for teh weekend hun??
my3boys - How was ur weekend away at port stephens? I hope the weather was gentle up north coast...sydney was very windy and cool...i hope it wasn't the case with u though.
Heather - Wow 33 weeks... :yelclap: how exciting. i bet u can't wait??
Kimmy - How are u doing hun? hope dylan is doing well too...
Maorimama - Are u still feeling those pains...do u think it is the gallstones??
I hope not...i bet u can't wait to get the results quickly.
Dearmum - :hugs:sorry u had such a bad day the other day...am glad to hear that u're feeling better.
Ur daughter must be thrilled to be moving in with her DH...how exciting for her...although for ur DS, oops...he should have been more careful wtih rent...doesn't mean if u are staying in ur parents property u can get away wtih things. :shame:
This will make him learn his responsibilities..its true...u can't keep everyone happy.
Ibb - How are u doing hun???
Hello to anyone else I might have missed...
AFM - Had a fairly busy weekend...i feel that weekends are just flying by and i don't have enuff time in my hands to get things done...
Had a 4d scan for free...it was lovely seeing both bubba's. Although baby B's pic wasn't as clear...it was kinda hiding behind/under baby A...but just got told that they're both head down...before baby B was breech but now they're both head down. I have one pic of baby A kissing baby b's head...so cute.
the features i feel looks like all babies...i'll try to upload some pics and post it...gotta figure it out first.
We went furniture shopping last night...got a rug for our lounge room...got rid of our other one and got a new coffee table...we were in desperate need for new furniture.
Tomorrow I have my GD test...will be taking a day off to get other things done too...
my "surprise" baby shower is happening this weekend on the 3rd...so need to clean my room and just tidy it up...although not making it too obvious that I know what day the shower is.
Guys, really sorry just a quick post from me and will get back with more personals later on.
Meliko: :hugs: I know how difficult it must be for you and DH at the moment. May Bailey RIP and look over your little Caleb and Xavior. I am glad that both boys are doing well and that you and DH get to have cuddles at the end of the day.
DM: :hugs: to you too as I know how hard it must have been on what would have been Shaeeds first birthday.
NM: So glad that DS is doing well and that things are starting to come together in terms of the house renos.
AFM: OB appointment went well last Friday. Bub now measuring at about 2.3 kg and is doing well. I have gained 3 kg in 3 weeks  I can't believe how much weight I have gained!!!
Our weekend away did not turn out as well as we could have hoped, but it was still good to spend quality time with DS and DH before bubba comes. The weather was so windy and cold up in Port stephens that we didn't get to go to the beach  We did spend time at Oakdale farm yesterday. DS loved running around patting the sheep and goats and chasing the kangaroos. He had a blast and was laughing his little head off when the sheep were bleating. The little one was going nuts and we have photos of him in amongst the animals. We also spent some time in Nelson bay and again our little boy was having a blast running from one place to the next and trying to run after some big dogs that he saw with their owners
Will be back later with more personals when I have a bit more time.
hey Bubbs ... we went up to Inskip Point, near Fraser Island. Problem was Fraser Island was on fire and the wind was blowing the smoke directly onto our camp site ! By Saturday afternoon we had enough and came home ...
I agree, weekends are going so quickly, I can't believe it is Monday already ... another 5 days work before the weekend <sigh>
Jojo - How nice...Fraser Island. Its good when u live up north...just go to these islands regularly...lucky.
Not so pleasant about the fires though.
My3boys - Oh no...u got hit with the wind as well...it was freezing cold due to the wind eh...its good u didn't go to the beach but sounds like ur DS had a fantastic time. How exciting for him.
Am sure u still thoroughly enjoyed urself.
I am 26 weeks this week. :smiliedance:  :yelclap:
Thanks girls - makes me feel better! Yes MM this is my first pregnancy.. my next scan is 7th October hopefully im feeling more then.
This morning me and dh picked up our car seat - woo hoo another thing we've got now! Just need to get the cot and change table off lay by in a few weeks. Other than that I think all I need in big stuff is a bath, a friend is giving me the rest of her stuff as she isnt having anymore kids - so thats really handy. Hope everyones having a good day, I am finally catching up on washing today - no dust yay!!
Kathy
Hi Ladies:wave:
Well feeling a bit puffy today have swollen hands and feet i hate that feeling. We still have a public holiday here today:Dqueens birthday!
Anyway im off to help out DD with her home to clean and paint ect coz my DS and his mates trashed the place:devil6:glad to have them out.
Im really having a hard time getting comfortable in bed now but i guess its because of the size of my belly.I have put on 12.5kgs so far but im waiting to pile on the kgs in the last few weeks.Im 32 Weeks today:smiliedance:cant believe i have only 4 weeks left hmmm well i can believe it.
Sorry be back tonight with some personals;)
Jojo - when we put him on the bed at the showroom he looked so little in a king single bed.. He has no idea what's a head with him, i have been trying to teach him that there is a bubba in my belly i think he is a bit little.. OMG i love the name you have picked out that was going to be my Noah's name but we chose Robert for the middle name after my grandad, my DH middle name is James as well. Oh i love the name summer i think it's to cute!
Jojo & Bubbs - Just you wait until your a SAHM every day feels like a weekend.
Bubbs - I know we did most of the smaller renovations before DS was born mind you our bathroom was suppose to be done and it was started before DS was born! My house has been a mess over the weekend and still is now thankfully i keep DS playing in one room so he can't wait through all the dust, DH has some sanding to do this afternoon then i can wash the floors again! Aww your photo's sound so cute, oh just a tip with the old rug you should keep it, i bought a rug before DS was born for the lounge room we always sit in it's cream and brown lets just say it's now trashed and i won't be buying another one until they are old enough to learn not to eat or drink on the rug.. YAY how exciting your baby shower you will have to post some photo's
My3 - It's always closer to the end you start packing on the kilos! So glad to hear DS had a ball on your holiday
Kathy - that's great your friend is giving you hand me downs YAY gives you more money to spend on other things. A friend of mine is pregnant and due in April if she is having a boy then i get her DD wardrobe and she gets my DS, god i hope she has a boy
DM - Sounds like you will have a nice day with DD, i bet she is looking forward to moving out of the inlaws! Oh that's the worst part of pregnancy i think the last 4-5weeks when you start piling on the weight getting all swollen in the hands and feet and just being so god dam uncomfortable
Dearmum - hope you had a good day with your DD .. she must be so happy to be able to spend quality time with her DH ... :yelclap: .. I am sure your DS understands why you had to do what you did ... surely he gets that if you dont pay rent you get evicted - if it is your parents house or not ! 4 weeks ... WOW, it is getting to the pointy end of the deal .. you will be meeting those gorgeous twinnies before you know it !
my3 - glad you made the most of your weekend, even if the weather wasn't kind to you ... when are you finishing up work ??
bubbs - you're right, we are very lucky living where we are ... so close to so many goregous places ... we just love it ... we enjoyed our time (15 years) in Sydney .. but LOVING our coastal lifestyle now. Are you looking forward to your baby shower ?
kathy - it is exciting getting baby stuff isn't it ? we are slowly filling up our nursery and when I get a few more bits and pieces I will start putting it all together ... I can not wait !
NM - you must be looking forward to seeing the back end of the renovations and sorting out bubbs and DS room .. exciting - you get to do two rooms ! How is your precious DS today ...
hello to all your other precious pregnant ladies .. hope you are all well :flowerz:
Jojo - Yeah i am excited kind of 2 rooms anyways, i have learnt my lesson with DS i bought his cot quilt then changed my mind when he was 2mths old decided that his quilt was to babish and now the colour i have painted his room doesn't go with his new big boy quilt so we have to repaint his room LOL.. I won't be making the same mistake this time around.
It's only 10.30am and we have already had a big morning, DS had a hair cut this morning oh he looks so cute! then we went to the shops i couldnt help it and ended up buying bubbs 2 outfits DH caught me but was ok about it LOL
Hi Ladies:wave:
Just a quick one for me as I'm not sure how long the internet will be up. We had a huge storm go through Saturday and we have only just got some service, but it is very poor. This is the first time I have been able to get on:yes:
Just a quick one to say i'm doing all fine:D I even slept all night last night and didn't get up once for a wee stop!! I'm just so proud. Dylan is kicking up a storm so his doing well also..
I have midwives next Thursday..
Doc Wednesday after that ..
Then induced the Thursday after that (if there not to busy)
I'm 35 weeks tomorrow.
better run before internet drops out on me..
If I can't get on I will send bubbs a message.
Cheers
Kimmy
Morning ladies. I was supposed to log on yesterday arvo to do personals but didn't get the chance to.
Bubbs: Will fill out the little questionnaire that you posted up when I have a little bit more time. So glad that you had a great time seeing your little ones on the 4d scan. How lucky to get it done for free as they usually cost about $240. Great to hear that both babies are head down now. So cute that baby A was kissing baby B’s head. Sounds like they are both great mates already! Let us know how your GD goes today.
Zoe: The info about BPA in babies bottles is not a new topic. I remember ladies in the generals thread were posting about it a while back. I didn’t know that it was also in cans etc, though. The thing with baby bottles is the fact that the ones that don’t have BPA in them are very expensive and when you decide to bottle feed you can’t just buy a couple of bottles. You need a whole range of bottle sizes and teats. I understand that the health of our babies is most important, but at almost $18 for one 160 ml bottle, it makes it unaffordable for many families who choose to bottle feed.
I wish that they did make it illegal here so that more companies would produce BPA free bottles and thus make is so much more affordable for families who bottle feed their bubbas.
Zoe, your diet sounds very healthy and its good to snack on fruit in between meals. I also crave greasy foods sometimes. I have been naughty this pregnancy and had more fast food than I should, which shows in the amount of weight that I have gained!
JCR: Hope your BP comes down and gets under control. You don’t have much time left before bubba comes along so rest up as much as possible.
Ibb: Congrats to your friend on the arrival of her baby girl. Makes you so much more anxious to see what your little one looks like doesn’t it?
NM: Oh your DS sounds so cute walking a few steps in his havianas and then looking at them….LOL! I have also been trying to tell my DS about the coming bubba but I think he doesn’t quite understand He hasn’t been around too many babies so it will be a real shock to him once bubba comes along.
Kathy: That is a lovely belly shot! Congrats on getting to the half way mark! Great to hear that you won’t have to spend lots of $$ buying things for baby with all the hand me downs you are getting.
Moarimama: I haven’t had a huge thrist this time round but with DS I was constantly thirsty. Keep on drinking water as it is good for you. I am glad that they are doing a scan for gall stones. At least that is one thing you can rule out with respect to the pains. Hopefully your GD comes back normal.
Heather: Great to hear that your GD is better and that you are being very vigilant in monitoring what you are eating. You are only a few weeks behind me and will be due around the same time as my friend
Jojo: Its heaps cool to watch your belly move. I call them alien movements cause its so weird to see you belly contort into funny shapes. Or see parts sticking out! Summer is a great name for your girl and I am sure NM would agree with your choice of Noah for a boys name! Sorry your trip to fraser island didn’t turn out as nice as you had wished. My last week of work will be next week. It’s a long weekend this weekend as well so it will be a 4 day week for me next week! :smiliedance:
Dearmum: I can’t believe your DS and his mates trashed your rental property and hadn’t paid rent for 6 weeks! So glad that your DD will be renting your place now. At least she won’t have to deal with her in laws and she and her DH can have a little home all to themselves. I have gained 10 kilos since the start of this pregnancy. I think 8 of those are from about 17 weeks onwards. At least you are carrying twins. I have only 1 bubba so not sure why I have gained so much weight in such a short amount of time!
Kimmy: great to hear from you and glad you had a good nights rest last night. Sounds like Dylan is still happy staying put, which is great as he can get a few more weeks of growing in.
AFM: Nothing more to report. My next OB appointment is in 3 weeks time. Funny I thought I'd be on 2 weekly visits by now. Oh well bubba is moving about and happy in there so I guess I shouldn't complain. Next week will be my last week at work YIPPEEE…. :goodvibes: Can’t wait till Friday rolls around and I can finally put my feet up for the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I am so hungry at the moment. Can’t wait till lunch time.
Hey girls, thanks so much for your kind words. the funeral was beautifull and me managed all well as could be expected, our little bailey is at rest now.
Xavior is doing so well, will be coming out of the incubator in the next couple of days, out of NICU and just in special care nursery, that will be a very exciting day when this all happens!!
Caleb (Bailey's ID twin) had a rough day yesterday, the nurces seem to think he's coming down with something, so he's on medication, but became allot more stable overnight! The medical treatment they are both receiving is outstanding.
I am fine, I recovered from the c-section very quickly! I was up and about the next day, very sore but by the 2nd day I was fine. Must say the spinal block scared the shizz out of me tho!! My total weight gain was 18kg! of wich I am pleased to say I've already lost 16kg!
Here is a pic of our beautifull boys
Caleb 10 days old

Xavior last night having cuddles with daddy 11 days old

Melkio: Its great to hear from you  Fantastic that Xavior is going to come out of his incubator in a couple of days time and is progressing so well :yelclap: Both he and Caleb are just so, so adorable in their photos. I can't get over how tiny they are.
Hopefully Caleb will improve in the days to come and will also be able to come out of his incubator soon.
Again i am so sorry about Bailey. I know he will be watching over his brothers as they bigger and stronger :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:
Sounds like you are physically well, and great to hear that you have lost most of the pregnancy weight. Will look forward to hearing updates from you about the boys when you get the chance to post. Please keep on posting up pictures of them as they grow as well (if you get the chance that is).
Kimmy - How exciting now much longer to go now!
My3 - The Haviana's were the only thongs that would fit his fat little feet LOL. Yep same here with my DS i still think they are a bit to young to understand. My DS use to get upset when i held other babies now he doesn't care. YAY not much longer to go before your on maternity leave, i bet you can't wait.
Meliko - Great to hear the boys are doing so well and getting the best care. Sounds like you are doing really well too thats wonderful. The boys are just gorgeous, caleb sure has long fingers

NM at least your renos will be complete by the time baby arrives. We renovated our home in Nz and I was forever changing the themes/colours in the kids rooms. We are only renting here atm so can't do alot. Have fun doing up your kiddies rooms :).
Meliko your sons are so so adorable. Xaviour sounds like he is doing brilliantly and hopefully Caleb gets better over the next day or so.
Jojo yeah Morayfield isn't that far....I actually like the drive to the Sunshine Coast as it's pretty lax compared to driving on the Sthside. I had a little pain yesterday but it was bearable...I can't wait to find out whether I have gallstones or not as I have read the pain can come and go. I'll get the results of my GTT and scan on Monday.
Bubbs ooh a 4d scan, I am thinking of getting one myself. How did you find the glucose test?
M3B I have put on 20kgs so far , 6 of those in 21days and I still have 12kws to go. Being on hypertensive meds doesn't help but I'll worry about it when baby arrives. I am still wearing size 12 maternity clothes though thankfully cause I don't really want to have to buy new clothes at this stage in the game. Doesn't sound as if the weather was too great for your trip....but you got to spend quality time with DS and DH so that's a bonus.
Dearmum I had to take off my wedding ring over the weekend  as my hands get to swollen.
Well same old same old here, but I am now getting pains in both my knees which I think is just referred from my pelvis and hips....desperately need to see a physiotherapist but it's not likely that I'll be able to until the kids go back to school. I washed all bubs clothing over the weekend....I had forgotten what it looked like to have a line full of newborn clothing....so cute, and packed his bag this morning....can you tell I am eager? Now just need to get myself organised.
Hi Ladies;)
Not much happening my end besides feeling tired.
I had a busy long weekend helping DD with her place so now she is happy coz my DH painted her whole house in her fav colours.I just helped by cleaning.Theres still alot to be done coz the yard looks like abos have been living there:rolleyes:yeh my sons dog chewed up 3x lounges and can you imagine the mess, what annoys me is the house is only 3yrs old it shouldnt need all this doing up.
So feeling super tired today and to top it off my youngest DD friend was suppose to come over for a play so we rushed around early this morning for her mum to have forgotton about it:rolleyes:
Hi Meliko.....:hugs:Babe your boys look so peaceful and there really cute! wow your doing so well with your weight i hope im that lucky when mine come out.Roughly how many more weeks until you can bring your bubbas home?
Hi maorimama....Haha yeh my fingers are to swollen to even get my rings off.Its countdown for us yay.
Hi Kimmy....Hehe yeh i just told my DD after her school holidays are over it will be 2 weeks and they will be coming out, doesnt seem long when you think about it but the days sure are streching out.
Hi My3boys....10kgs is nothing your doing great.
Hmmm i would have thought your on weekly visits,i have my OB tommorro so will find out if im on weekly.
Hi NM....Haha you have been nice and busy,im just like you cant go past cute clothes.
Hi Jojo & Bubbs....Hows our twinnie mums going?
Hi to you lovely ladies i have missed:wave:
Meliko- Great to hear you and your beautiful boys are doing well. Wow, you lost a lot of weight already! I suppose apart from the bubba's, you didnt have much extra weight on yourself.
Bubbs- Hmm, baby brain. I cant actually remember what dessert was:no::rolleyes: Well, its been a few days now, how can one be expected to remember anything past yesterday!
Kimmy- Woow, thats so exciting! Good luck. Hope you get to see Dylan next thursday!
MM- Good to hear you have everything under control; on the baby front. Now getting yourself organised is another thing all together!
I have my little sister staying with me at the moment, she is only 7. I have to go now, because she has just suddenly remembered that her fish on facebook might die if they are not fed, unless I can ring our other sister back home and tell her to feed them! I dont know how it works exactly, but she is very frantic!
meilko - honey so nice to hear from you and how lucky we are to see photos of your gorgeous boys :hugs: .. I can only imagine what a difficult day it was, sating goodbye to your precious Bailey .... how amazing that you are only carrying an extra 2kg's at this stage ... you certainly are impressive my love ! Hope you boys continue to thrive and we look forward to hearing about their growth and working towards the day when they go home .. take care sweets ... xoxox
dearmum - how lovely of your DH to paint the house .. must be annoying to have to spend this money on the house when it is only 3 yeras old ... I am sure your DD will take better care of it ... and set an example for your DS ... can not wait to hear updates from your OB appt .... those precious babies will be here before you know it :smiliedance: All going well here, thanks for asking ... only weighing myself once a week now ... the number just keeps getting higher an higher .. think my babies are having a growth spirt  ... and are you well ??
MM - you're right, it is an easy drive to the Sunshine Coast ... we could meet half way-ish .. along the lovely beaches and cafes of Caloundra ... hope you get some relief from those pains soon ... if all goes to plan, our babies will be born around the same time, give or take a few weeks ...
Bubbs - how did you go with your GD test yesterday ? Hope you can figure out how to upload photos so we can see your 3D/4D scans ...
my3 - WOW jelous that you are finishing up work already ... alien movements, I like that .. and very appropriate .. such a bizarre thing to watch
 Zoe, Kimmy, Heather, JCR and anyone else I missed ... hope you are all well ..
AFM - nothing new to report ... busy with work ... getting tired in the afternoon and want to go to bed at 7:30 .. hopefully will get my other cot next week then the nursery will be in full swing ... have ran out of storage in my room for all my baby stuff so need to wash it and move it to the babies room ... :yelclap:
Hi Ladies
I wasn't online yesterday...decided to take a day off as i had my GD test in the morning. I only had to stay for an hour...had that drink. I didn't mind the drink actually...i had gone empty stomach so the drink was kinda refreshing. :p
Sat there for an hour reading a mag adn then had my blood test done. I will get my results on Friday. I just hope that all is normal. :fingerscrossed:
DH had yesterda off as well so we spend it together and sis in law decided to stay at home too since we were at home but DH and I were out most of the day as we had a few things to do...so was an enjoyable day...i wish I had another day off today.
Meliko - Aaaawww...ur little precious boys look so sweet. I agree ur bubba has really long fingers...thats what caught my eyes too...but they're both so adorable. Bless them.
Dearmum - How are u going hun? Not long to go indeed...time seems to be flying actually...I bet u can't wait to hold them in ur arms. YAYYYYYY.
This twinnie mumma is doing well so far...26 weeks this week...i say another 10 weeks to go if they come at 36 weeks. :yelclap:
my3boys - Wow so u finish work next week. did u bring it forward a week as you were thinking of finishing up the same day as me - 16th Oct??
I still finish up on the 16th...I cant wait actually...
Kimmy - Yup i've got my mobile iwth me 24/7 so looking forward to getting that text from u to announce little Dylan's arrival. Hurrayy.
Hope the storm calms down though.
Zoe - Yyeah even i can't remember about the dessert now. haha...typical. brain dead here.
Maorimama - I hope ur knee pain goes away...i agree surely look into doing physio...it'll help u feel more positive and better. now harm in trying it out. Have u done physio in this pregnancy yet??
Jojo - Looking forward to my baby shower??? answer to that is Yes and No...
Yes - because am looking forward to what presents my babies will get. hee hee...
and No because i don't want to hear afterwards the issues sis in law had with trying to organise this shower and who helped and who didn't...and all the B**t*hing...rather be away from it...so am planning to tell her when she starts the topic the day after that i truely don't want to know who did what and who didn't...all that matters to me is that i enjoyed my day and thats it. Too much politics involved with trying to organise a surprise i think...I am not a fan of surprise baby showers actually...but oh well. Am just going to try to enjoy it.
Hi to anyone else I have missed...
AFM - Not much else to report...looking forward to my obs appointment on friday, although it'll be a 5 minute in/out visit as always...
other then that the long weekend with baby shower on saturday...sunday hopefully if the weather is pleasant a drive up somewhere near the beach for a picnic and monday relaxing again..gearing up for work on tuesday.
MM - I have learnt my lesson with changing colours plus i think DH would divorce me if i did it again LOL... The renos inside will be finished in about 2-3wks then we have outside i need my pagola finished and the area underneath concreted before summer so DS has somewhere to play outside.. Sounds like you are very orgainsed
DM - Boys just seem to have no respect sometimes he should be there helping you guys since he and his mates trashed the place! I hope you get some rest today
Jojo - Sounds like your nursery is all coming together
Well i have had a productive morning, dinner is in the slow cooker, i have painted the undercoat in bubs room, cleaned the house, about to iron then coffee with a friend and then the first coat of paint in bubs room. God i hope i don't have to work tonight my back is aching from last night
NM .. slow down ! just read what you had accomplished this morning and what else you have planned and I need a nap  .. I have a tendency to change my mind so am glad that we are not painting ... just soft furnishings and stuff .. so easy (albeit expensive) for me to change themes and colours ..
bubbs - well ... just enjoy your day and enjoy the gifts for your bubbas ... then block your ears  lovely of your sis-in-law to organise for you but she doesn't need to share the pain associated with it .. that little "joy" she can keep to herself
Any suggestions on where to buy nice maternity dresses ?? We have a christening and a wedding this month and I dont have anything that fits ... strangley I can get some of my dresses over my belly but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING goes over my (.)(.) .. I just hope to god I can find something that fits me everywhere !!
Jojo - I hear your pain in regards to maxi/maternity dresses...I have been faced with exactly the same dilema...I can't seem to fit anything nicely on my (.) (.) either...its just horrific. :hissy:
Even I wanted something as well...looked all weekend but not a single pretty dress that falls nicely on site. :crying:
Yes I plan to tell SIL to not share her "joy" with me in regards to issues shes had with organising a baby shower...the further I am away from it the better.
Bubbs: I was originally going to finish up on the 16th Oct, but have brought that forward a week as I am feeling pretty heavy and tired by now. Hope you GD test comes back all clear. I thought that you had to eat breakfast before doing the test. My OB made sure that I had eaten before I had my test done. I am looking forward to the long weekend as well. We have a wedding to go to this Saturday.
NM: My goodness you have done a lot of things already. Take it easy as you don’t want to overdo it.
Dearmum: awww your poor DD missing out on her play date. Hopefully you guys can reschedule it. Wow sounds like you son and his buds really did trash the place! Thankfully you have booted them out. I know your DD and her DH will take better care of your rental as well.
Jojo: I can understand why you would be so tired by the time afternoon came, with carrying twins and all. Can’t wait to see photos of your nursery when you do it all up. I have been buying mat dresses from places like Kmart. They have some nice ones there and seeing I don’t have that much further to go, I just couldn’t justify buying a really expensive dress from a maternity store that I would only be wearing for a few weeks. Are you able to buy a slightly bigger size dress so that it fits you around the top half? It will also allow for more room for your growing belly.
Moarimama: you are super organised to have washed all of bubbas clothing. I won’t be doing any washing until I go on maternity leave.
Zoe: LOL! Those facebook games have my friends hooked, but I can never find the time to go on facebook to farm vegies etc like they do. Hopefully your lil sis’ goldfish got fed and is OK.
 to everyone else.
AFM: Nothing to report. Absolutely beasutiful weather in Sydney today. Nice and Sunny. Tomorrows gonna be hot though (forecasting 30 degrees). I am looking forward to the long weekend this week. Always good to have 3 days off work!
Hi Ladies,
Finally, here are pics from my 4d scans of my precious twinnies.
Hope you are able to view them.

NM you sound like me....once you're on a roll theres no stopping you. Had to  at you having learnt your lesson re colours....my DH would come home and I would be repainting after only 6-12mths.....what can I say my tastes change and I love an update. Enjoy coffee with your friend.
Jojo Caloundra would be a great halfway point....I used to meet a friend there for coffee when she lived in Perigian Springs (sp?). I think you, Bubbs and I will all have our babies within a few weeks of each other :).
Bubbs how precious are your 4D scans? It's amazing how much detail you can see in them. Why is it that you only had to stay for 1hr with your test yesterday....I was there for 2hrs and had 3 lots of bloods done . Sounds like you and DH had a lovely day together though, which is always nice.
M3B I have to be super organised with a large family.....most days I have at least 3 loads of washing...on the weekend I didn't have much to do and the weather was perfect for getting bubs things hung out in the sunshine. So does that mean you are on Mat leave from the end of next week :yelclap:?
How are all our other lovely mummies-to-be?
Well my scan went well today....they actually scanned my liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas and gall bladder....she was very thorough. The sonographer said that as far as she can tell everything looks normal so I guess the pain will go unexplained but at least there doesn't seem to be anything major wrong. She also asked if I wanted to see bubba and gave me a quick scan of him....my he has grown so much. He's head down atm and will hopefully stay in that position....it was such a treat to see him again.
A quick ??.....when we moved into our rental the blinds in the living areas weren't working correctly....you couldn't wind them open and they were very hard to push open fully to the side...our Property Manager was aware of it but nothing was done.....over time they have gotten progressively worse and now a few of the panels have became unattached to the rest of the blind....would this fall under wear/tear and be the owners responsibility as they weren't working corrctly in the first place or will it be our responsibility to have them fixed/replaced? Not too sure how these things work here.
Maorimama - I had a short glucose test done for which u only need to stay an hour...but the long test u need to stay for two hours.
If things look a bit out then they'll surely ask me to do a long test after my fridays appointment...but lets see.
Fingers crossed I can avoid the long test.
Oh and i only had one lot of bloods done but three tubes full of blood. :(
my3boys - There was no hard rule about whether I could or should have breakfast or not. because I was there 8am, i decided to skip breakfast... :p
They didn't ask me or tell me anything of that sort.
Maorimama in regards to the house...i think the blinds is the owners responsibility to get fixed. We rented for 10 yrs in a unit and anything to do with the house, it was owners responsibility and not the tennants..whether it be plumbing, electrical, appliances, blinds...anything.
I would get in touch with the agent and let them know...and see if the agent can arrange for the owner to come take a look. Goodluck.
Jojo - I could do with a nap but i really want to get bubs room painted and finished so i can clear out my front lounge room, we used bubs room as storage so i really want to get orgainsed.. Ahhh so do i, i painted DS room before he was thought of then painted it before he was born and now i am painting it again so it's more of a big boy room. Trust me i have learnt my lesson if i change my mind with bubs room i'm sure DH will divorce me
My3 - It's such a perfect day today and i'm inside painting! I hope we get nice weather all weekend
MM - Glad i'm not the only one! DH doesn't trust me doing the final coat only first coat. A quick coffee turned into a 3hr thing, it was great to catch up with her and talk babies.. Glad to hear your scan went well and you got to see your little man again. I think the owner should be fixing your blinds
Bubbs - Awwww love your photo's
My quick coffee turned into a 3hr catch up it was so nice! I am now killing time while the paint drys before i can start the first coat of colour in bubs room, YAY!

Bubbs and M3B it's strange how different these tests can be.....I was told I had to fast from 10pm the night before . I knew this test was different to the previous ones I have had as I don't remember it taking as long as it did.
NM I love catching up with friends and it always takes longer than anticipated. So what colour are you painting Noah's and baby's rooms? Have you made a decision on whether you are going with Layla Peace yet?
I've emailed our new Property Manager...our one just left without warning....and am waiting for her to get back to me. I am so thankful that we documented everything and took photos before we moved our furniture in as what they stated in their report and what actually was was two different things....to the extend that they said we had an oven in full working order when it didn't even have a door on it. Unfortunately for the owner what is a nice home was destroyed by the previous tenants who did a runner and it has taken time and money to get it back to where it is today.
Good Afternoon,
Just a quick one from me...
Meliko...your boys are beautiful you should be so proud, before you know it they will be home, crawling and then walking. I am glad the funeral when as well as expected...RIP:angel:.
Well had my OB appointment today...all good my BP is back down to almost normal, bubba's head is down and OB says it has dropped down further since last visit. Need to have blood test and Ultrasound in a week to check placenta and iron levels and have to see him in 2 weeks then my visits are weekly to the end.....only 3 more visit with him really ...and then bubba will be here!

sorry ladies i dont have time for personals tonite.
just an update on me.
i had antenatal appt today which didnt go too well.
tyler is well, moving a fair bit and heartrate good. he is still head down but his fifths above brim has gone back up, last time it was 4/5 but it has gone back to 5/5. guess he was just teasing.
as for my health it isnt the best, i feel ok but i am now going to be starting insulin nitely for my gd. have to go to the diabetic clinic tomorrow to learn how to do it but it shouldnt be too hard as i have done ivf injections for the past 2 years.
my levels are fine after i eat but after i have been asleep they dont seem to be low enough, rather on the high side of things.
i also have high blood pressure which i hadnt had until now. i have to go to the hosptial on saturday to check it again.
having a growth scan on tuesday at 2pm to see how tyler is growing and to make sure he isnt getting too big from the gd.
have another antenatal appt the following day(wed).
today i did a urine sample and some blood tests to check for signs of pre eclampsia due to me having high bp.
heather
JCR - great to hear your BP is down ... you are sooooo clse now, only 3 more OB visits ... :yelclap: .. how very exciting for you !! Hope all your tests next week show everything is as it is supposed to be ..
Heather .. hon, sorry to hear your appt didn't go so well ... but it is reassuring to hear that Tyler is doing well ... hope you can get your diabetes under control with the insulin and that BP gets under control .. take care :hugs: make sure you keep us posted on how your feeling ..

Oh i nearly passed out while laying down getting my quick scan i think my babies were to heavy.
The doc seen my burn and said whats this i said oh i burnt it with my iron he just laughed and said theres a first, yeh i have a blister its still rather sore.
But yeh having a boring pregnancy
Hi maorimama....Babe did you get your results back from the GD test? i had the same my first test was 1 hr and i think i had to have breakfast and because my levels were slightly high i had to have the second test and that was fasting from 9pm.
Hun i think because your blinds wernt working well in the first place they will proberly let it go.Unless you get a fussy owner that just wants ya bond.So happy everything went well at your scan,im sure all the pains will go once bub is here.
Hi Heather.....:hugs:Oh sorry you need to take insulin, babe have you tried not having supper?coz i find if i do have supper my levels are higher the next morning.I have been cheating:oi havent been monitoring myself at all much and today my doc asked me about my levels i just came up with some figures eek.I will test tommorro though. Its good to hear Tyler is ok.

I have booked a window tinter to come in next week to tint my front windows of the house, i had DS room and a few others done a couple of years ago it's great to get a bit more darkness through the day for a sleeping bub.. Well better go my Aunty is coming up from Canberra for the day so i need to quickly grab a few things for lunch!

JCR - Wow...3 more visits and thats it...bubs in ur arms...how exciting :smiliedance:
I bet u can't wait...feels like a long journey doesn't it. Glad that all is looking positive on that front.
Dearmum - Glad to hear ur little ones are doing well too...U know even i feel like i am about to pass out when i lay straight on my back. Its the most uncomfortable feeling in the world. i have to turn back to the side straight away...i start getting dizzy. so i hear ya. even sitting in the car i get dizzy so need to sit side ways.
Meliko - So so glad to hear that Xavior is doing ell. they're a champ. Caleb will surely follow Xavior, no doubt about it. They do sound like such good boys...aawww...i feel like holding them. :cloud9:

DearMum - excellent news on a great scan and appt ... man, those babies must be applying some pressure when you're on your back ... I agree with you on the dress, I am OK to spend a bit of extra to get a nice one ... it is a reasonably formal wedding so want it to be appropriate ... I hope to find something I can dress up and down ...
 to everyone else ... lovely day here in Qld ... wishing I was out in the Sunshine enjoying the day instead of in my office .. oh well, the weekend is very close

Meliko thanks for the update on Xavior and Caleb....what troopers they are. You will have them home in no time.
Dearmum I had no choice in my GD test.....was told to have the 2hr one, not sure why  maybe because of my weight gain???? I get the results on Monday so will let you know how it goes. Great news about your appt....you are one step closer.
NM I'm liking the sound of the kids rooms...am eagerly awaiting pics :D.
JCR glad to hear your bp has settled....wow you don't have long to go at all.
Kimmy you have been very quiet lately...hope that means you are getting in lots of rest.
Heather hopefully the insulin can help keep your blood sugars level and that's it only for your pg and doesn't continue for you once bubs arrives. I have hypertension too hon and am on meds for it.....I had pregnancy induced hypertension with my previous 4 pregnancies and was closely monitiored for pre eclampsia....I was labelled as having toxemia with my first 2 which is the same as PE and was hospitalised throughout all 4 pregnancies....this time round I had essential hypertension but thankfully my bp has been normal. The frustrating thing is that most of the time you feel fine even when you are not. I really hope you don't develop PE and that your bp can be controlled with meds. Wishing you all the very best.
Nothing new to report here :flowerz:
Update from Kimmy :
No Dylan yet, but my computer has decided that it no longer wants to work. Will you say hi to everyone for me and let me know if anything happens to the other ladies? I hope that I can get a new comp in a week or two. I'm feeling fine!
:)
thanks Bubbs - tell Kimmy HI and hope she is doing well ...
DM - Yeah sure am it doesn't help that we used bubs room for storage and now one of my lounge rooms is covered in all the crap which is why i want to get all sorted
It's a nice hot day here today in Sydney and my Aunty just left gosh it was nice to catch up with her..

Glad u had a lovely time with Aunty...its always nice to catch up with family.
I hope its not too hot when i get home...not looking forward to the train travel...
Jojo - I didn't even have a say in this baby shower that I am having this weekend since it is a "surprise"...
my sis is organising one for me, which is just my work and school friends in Nov, which I wanted her to actually....am really looking forward to that shower actually...i think it'll be more fun and less stress.
But I'll try to relax and let things unfold...need to be positive... :fingerscrossed:
Hi everyone,
Not been on here for a few days, only because of having little sister and I am really tired.
Everyone sounds like the are doing well. NM, glad you had a good time with your Aunty. I love catching up with my family too. Well, the rellies on my mums side anyway....
Sorry to hear about your lousy computer Kimmy. Mine has had its ups and downs, but a good kick always does the trick:laughing: I wish....!
Well last week I had a feeling in my tooth that I had something stuck in there. I got a tooth pick and started hacking away at it when I started getting a metal taste in my mouth. When I looked at the tooth pick it was all bloody, so I went to have a look in the mirror to find I had this sack of blood coming from my molars. It looked like it was actually coming out of my molars, but it may just have been buldging out the side. I have very good teeth, so I rang nurse on call in case it was just a preggie issue. Since it was saturday night she said to go to the dentist by monday, but when the sack came out sunday, I didnt think it was an issue anymore so I didnt bother. Today the metal taste in my mouth returned, so I asked the midwife at my antenatal appointment today what she thought it was. She suspects its an abscess in my upper jaw. She said many of us can have them and not know they are there, but she said that I have to be in good health so I can grow baby, and not be trying to fight an infection. Then she measured my tummy and found that I am small for my dates. I am 24 weeks, and only the size of 22 weeks. She told me not to worry, and in my heart I know bubba will be ok, but how can I not worry?:( Then she kind of said that baby is possibly small because my body is trying to fight off an infection, instead of giving its all to baby.
So I'm off to the dentist on Tuesday, its the only time I can get in. But what else can I do? How can I get my baby to grow. Im just so worried......
Zoe - You poor thing, tour teeth play up big time when your pregnant. I hope all goes well at the dentist! As for bubs measuring behind it happens to alot of women and if the midwife isn't concerned then it's probably nothing to worry about. I know easier said then done and you will still worry. I hope your bubs has caught up by your next appt
Not much happening here bubs is moving around alot more now and i can start to feel the weight coming on in my face YUK it makes me feel like a whale
morning ladies
:hugs: Zoe .. sorry to hear that you having a hard time ... take care .. hope you get all sorted next week at the dentist.
NM - I hear ya sista ! I can feel the weight coming on .. I can see it in my cheeks and the tops of my arms ... I dont even want to look at my legs  ..
Question about braxton hicks ... how do you know you are having them ? How different do they feel compared to normal movements ??
 to everyone else
xo
Thankyou NM and jojo. I feel much better today. I have tummy cramps which I normally get when everything is stretching/growing. Also I had a dream about bubba last night.
He was on the change table and I was trying to find some clothes for him, all the newborn stuff was too small! I found some socks that my mum bought to put on him and I put him down. Then I turned around to tell him not to go on the grass with his new socks and then realised that he was walking! Suddenly he was about 2 years old and I was running down the hill after him yelling out to my mum "it's not supposed to happen this quick!" (growing that is) then he chased after a footy that the footy players had kicked away. I tried to call him and realised I didnt know his name! Then I suddenly called out "Mitchell" to which he looked up from under his mass of dark brown curly hair. Anyway, it was an interesting dream. He was a real smart kid and even ended up tripping me up on a few things. Then the dream all went by the way side when someone threw Darryl Somers off the ship we were on! Oh dear, I have some weird dreams!
Anyway I do feel a little better, but then I got spooked cos I was thinking that all the dreams I have never come true (which is good for some of them!) but then I have to remember, I am pregnant now arnt I? So that counts for something.
So what is braxton hicks? From jojo's statement I'm guess its like contraction pain? Guess I will get the answer when someone answers jojo's question.
NM- Yes well my face is not so bad (for now!) but my but and thighs are huge. Its very hard to feel attractive when you have someone who tells you the 'ideals' of a pregnant woman. (well he does not tell me now, but he did on several occasions months before I got pregnant, and I still remember, so it makes you think)
I guess all you can do is remember why its all happening. We are creating something wonderful, and make sacrifices some other people will never understand, so they can stick it.
Well  to everyone else. Hope you are all well. Take care everyone.
Jojo - LOL same here the arms and legs as well! Worst part is i have a couple of friends who are pregnant and due around the same time, i'm the only one having my 2nd and i am so much bigger then the other girls.
Braxton Hicks are very different to movement they are down the lower part of your belly and your lower belly will tighten for a few seconds/minutes kinda like strong period pain. I didn't get them until about 30wks with DS.. My take on stretch marks are your tattoo's for having babies!
Zoe - What a dream you had, i often have dreams about bubs as well..
NM - thanks for the Braxton Hicks info ... I was chatting to some of the girls at the ante natal class last night and they are getting them now .. I am not as far advanced as them so wasn't sure how to differentiate the "feeling" ... but by your definition it would appear I will know
Zoe - glad you are feeling more positive .. I too have been having weird dreams .. last nights little delight was that I had a transparent belly and could see my babies moving around ... the were feet down and we wanted to deliver them .. I asked them to spin and they did .. was so bizarre .. and one had eyes like a doll, with the funny springy eye lids  - freaky !
Jojo- OMG, that must have been weird with the open/close dolls eyes! Last week I dreamt I could see through my belly too. Baby was stretching out and my tummy was pulled over his hands and feet like it was thin plastic. I only remember looking at his long fingers, and I think that came from looking at the photos of Meliko's baby, Caleb. Was soooo cute though. Last nights dream was a hoot, only where the hell did Darryl Somers come from?? I think it was becasue I was watching Hey Hey Its Saturday on wednesday night....
NM-In my eyes, your lucky. I cant wait to have a huge belly! When I went to my appointment yesterday, all the woman coming in and out were 30+ weeks, with some nearing 40. I was the smallest, and when the midwife said I was smaller than my dates...:crying: You must be excited and proud to show of bubba bump #2!
Nothing else to report here. Except yesterday and today I have not been real motivated. I just cant be bothered. And I am so tired. Could that be the infection? Maybe just not enough rest....
Very quiet in here today. Everyone else busy baby shopping I hope! Sorry to all you gals still working!
Hi Girls,
wow some crazy dreams happening here.
I had the worst nights sleep...just kept tossing and turning and was awake from 3.30am till around 5ish until i drifted off...ah well.
I was supposed to have my obs appointment today but when i got there their office was closed. Apparantly they hadn't booked in my appointment in their calender appropriately but on my health card they had written the 2nd Oct. anyway my next appointment is now on the 12th...they were giving me the 6th but DH can't make it and he needs to take me there...so the 12th it is. Seems like a LONG WAIT.
Zoe - I hope ur infection gets sorted hun...doesn't sound very pleasant.
I had tooth problems at week 9...was very annoying...had to get a filling done.
Dentist has told me that i need to go back after the babies are born. hmmm
Jojo - how are u going hun???
NM - What are u up to today...?
Very quiet in here indeed.
Sorry girls. No personals today. I just wanted to say  to you all and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Busy, busy here. Starting to clear things off my desk, take photos of DS home etc and have one more report to finalise before I finish up next week. Being shredding lots of paper today :D and clearing out snacks etc from my drawers. Putting files away that have been sitting on my desk for ages and ages....Only 4 more work days and I am off for 6 months! YAY :smiliedance:
P.S. Bubba been a bit lazy today. I have felt him, but he is unusually quiet. Oh well he does have days when he seems to be more lazy than others.

Hi ladies!
I just wanted to share my wonderful news with you all... three months after the devastation of miscarrying my beautiful bubba, I am pregnant again! :cloud9:
I only had it confirmed via BT this morning, so early days yet, but I am over the moon and wanted to share it with you guys! I have been following your journeys over the last few months and am amazed at how far you have all come. Meliko, your sons are so beautiful, but I was so sad to hear about Bailey. I know he is watching over his brothers, forever their guardian angel.
You guys are now way ahead of me, so I'm not going to re-join this thread, instead I will head to the due in April/May/June thread, but I will continue to lurk here and look forward to hearing all about your beautiful bubbas as they arrive!
Much love and baby dust :babydust2:
Bellamama
Bellamama - :smiliedance: :smiliedance: :smiliedance:
AM SO SO SO HAPPY FOR U...that is just great.
Enjoy being on cloud 9 hun and hope ur next 9 months goes SMOOTHLY. :cloud9:
:fingerscrossed:
Bellamama :yelclap: :smiliedance: :goodvibes: A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR DH!!!!!!
I am so happy that you have your BFP and wish you have a "boring" pregnancy :D over the next 9 months!!!!
Zoe - I am very proud it's been a hard road to get to bubba #2.. You can't win being pregnant people either comment that your too big or too small
Bubs - Just having a home day today, playing and trying to teach DS how to count to 3. although DH has starting teaching him 'who's number one' so every time i start counting and say 1 he points to himself
My3 - How exciting only 4 more days to go
Bella - Congratualations i'm so happy for you!
Wow, a few more posts since I was here this morning!
Bella- Fantastic news. Congratulations :smiliedance: You must be over the moon! Are you going to tell anyone? Rellies, friends? I didnt for 4 months and it was so hard to keep quiet! Good luck with everything, hope to see you here again one day.
NM- I had to laugh. It brought a smile to your face when you said you are trying to teach DS to count, and when he points to himself when you say 1! I think thats just beautiful! :yelclap:
M3B- Yes my bubba does that too, he has his 'lazy' days. Not long to go now before your off work! You must be getting very excited. Woo hoo. Its like when school is out, all the kids would chant, "no more homework, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks!" :laughing:Enjoy it.
Bubbs- Yes I remember when you had you tooth issues. Not fun hey. I just hope they dont have to x-ray. Can they do that safely when pregnant? What a bugger you didnt get you ob appointment today. Oh thats so frustrating when they muck up you appointmetn time!:banghead:
Oh well, back to dragging my feet. I just cant get get motivated today! I was supposed to go into town and do a little shopping, but couldnt be bothered getting out of my comfy trackies. I am not normally this lazy.

Hi Ladies just an update. I had my morph scan and baby is measuring about a week too small for dates so I have to go back for the full scan in 2 weeks.
However they told us that the baby is a GIRL :cloud9:
Mrs M- Congrats on your little girl! :smiliedance:
Dont stress too much about bubba being a litltle small, mine is 2 weeks behind, but everything will be ok.
Bubbs - Have fun at your baby shower and just enjoy being spoilt.
Zoe - Terible about your teeth. Hope they get it sorted out quickly.
My3boyz - Yay for 4 more days of work! I am counting down. THan you have to rest and make the most of your time off.
Bella - I am so happy for you. Your little one is definately looking down and will be a wonderful guardian angel for your new baby. Take it easy xo
NM - Well you have been so busy. I would love to see pic of the rooms when you finish them. I am sure Noah is going to love his new room and big bed.
MrsM - I wouldn't worry too much about being 1 week behind. I was only measuring 17w3 days in some areas at my 19 weeks scan and they were not concerned. Congrats, another girl on the thread!!
AFM - Well i have been so exhausted. I just haven't had energy or time to get on here. My pelvis is great, i have driven a few times and thats when it plays up but if i keep to my restrictions its manageable.
I have been getting bad cramps every 2nd night or so and even the other day when i had to drive, i got one and had nowhere to pull over for ages. I was freaking but all is well.
Now my only issue is major swelling in my ankles and feet. I am talking more than twice the normal size and they are so sore and actually sting if thats possible. Because they are so fluid filled i can't bend my ankle which makes it hard to walk. I ended up wearing my thongs to work today and as of last night still cannot fit them in a shoe.
I have my glucose test tomorrow and checking ferriton as well. Than 15th i reconfirm gender, where the placenta is sitting and get a 4d shot so very much looking forward to that. I had ob ampt the other day and he was a real jerk but the good news is bubby is great and measuring a week ahead so have caught up.
Hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend if you are not in WA - you've already had yours!

Zoe I hope you get your tooth sorted on Tuesday and that it doesn't cause you too much grief before then. Hon with my DD I always measured 4 wks smaller and she was 6 pound 4 ounces at birth 3 wks early so they are never always accurate.
Bubbs enjoy opening your babies goodies this weekend. Just sit back and relax okay.
Mrs M congrats on your news of having a baby girls.
Bella a BIG congrats to you on your BFP.....enjoy your view from :cloud9:. I look forward to following your journey.
M3B :smiliedance: it must feel so great to be finishing work for 6mths....enjoy your time at home.
Ibb you poor thing with the swelling....did your OB seem concerned about it at all?
Has anyone heard from Kimmy? It's not like her to be this quiet.....do you think Dylan has arrived?
For the ladies who were talking about weight......I know how you feel......even though I am still fairly small in the tummy, I have piled on the weight in my hips and thighs....not a good look. I have put on oh about 20kg now and am dreading how much I put on in the final weeks. But as Dh keeps reminding me I am growing our precious son and that is what matters.....I do know this but sometimes this extra extra weight does get to me.
Well that didnt work! I hate these computers sometimes. I can never get the tickers to work. What am I doing wrong? It says cut and paste the code, but where to you paste the bloody thing:banghead::hair::banghead:
Paste it into your signature Zoe, you have to go in your user control panel :D
How are we all today? Ive just finished work, going to have a bludge in front of the tv now!!
I posted in here earlier today and my post is gone. Now i don't remember what i said..
Oh well it sure is very quite in here atm
Oh well I still cant do it. Must be my computer 'dyslexia'.
Well not mush else to report here. Had a bad fall today, but ok. Baby is ok too. Well off to have some hot apple pie and custard.:chef:
Very quite in here ladies!
Hey babes!
Hope your all doing well! Great news on my end.... Caleb graduated with his brother today from nicu to special care nursery!!!! And baby Xavior came out of his incubator into a big boy bed!!! So clever!!
xxxMel
Woo-hoo Meliko!:smiliedance::smiliedance: You must be sooo happy. Glad to hear both boys are doing so well. Xavior wont know himself. What a big boy!
:wave:Ladies
:hugs:Meliko....Thats great news im so proud of your little boys:hugs:now its not going to be long until they come home.
Hi Zoe....Babe once you cut the ticker you must go into your "signiture section " and click on change signiture then paste it there.Let us know how you go if you have more problems i can give you a step by step instruction ok.
Hi Bubbs....Babe how did your baby shower go?bet they got heaps of goodies.
Hows everyone today?
Im now 33 weeks whoohoo :smiliedance:only 3 weeks left for me yay.Cant wait for my scan on Wednesday to check how big they are now. They sure do feel alot heavier coz im out of breath most of the time.
Well we are having beautiful sunny days now so im going to go out i think.
dearmum- 33 weeks!! wow!!!! There are 7 sets of twins in our hospitals unit at the moment!!!! Carzyness! Thats not counting my boys... cause even tho there is only two of them they are still my little triplets! The majority of the twins were born between 24-32 weeks, so your doing a GREAT job to get to where you are hun!!!
meliko - that is fantastic news, how very exciting for you all:yelclap: hope they are growing and growing and growing, working towards being home with you very soon .. how are you recovering, all well I hope xo
Meliko - that's fantastic news! The boys sound like they are doing so well, it won't be long until they are home with you
DM - Gee that has come up quick 3 weeks to go woo hoo
The final coat of paint went on yesterday now just waiting for DH to build the shelf in the wardrobe tomorrow i'm back painting the skirting and frame around the doorway while DH is painting the doors on the wardrobe, hopefully by tomorrow we are all finished. As soon as DS bed arrives we are ready to set everything up.. I haven't slept alot this weekend bubs thought it would be fun to kick and move last night for 45mins starting at 10.30 then DH thought it would be a great idea to start drilling at 7am and wake me up... Had a good day today DS went to swimming lessons and swam to the wall by himself a couple of times, learnt to put the cup of water on his head instead of us doing it and learnt to fall in turn around and reach for the wall, i was one very proud mumma
Meliko - Great news with Xavier! I am so glad your boys are thriving.
Dearmum - Wow 33 weeks. That is great. You are doing so well.
NM - I hate it when you get early wakeup calls. I would shoot your DH, 7am to start drilling. tch tch Yay for Noah, what a clever boy getting to the wall himself. He is growing up.
Zoe - Have you worked out your signature yet?
Well i haven't done much this weekend. Had my glucose test yesterday. It wasn't too bad, the drink was no problem and i got caught up in a mag so the hour went pretty fast. Now cross fingers i pass the test! Was meant to got to Drummoyne last night for a party but gave up as couldn't fit shoes on still. Plus was up from 1am with leg cramps. SO painful and everytime i went to sleep, they came back so i gave up at 4am and just stayed up.My leg is still sore and feels really tight. No cramps last night but i had a hot bath and got DH to massage my legs. I'm going to have an epsom salt bath each night now and bought some tonic water. Hopefully that will help. Washed all the neutral baby stuff and folded away now. So cute to see everything on the line!
DH's parents have come home from 3 months travelling and dropped over today for a coffee. They are back til the baby is born now and thinking of selling their motorhome as they said they don't want to go away straight after bubs is here, they want to stick around a bit. They've been away 5 months this year but only started their retirement so i think it would be a waste if they got rid of it.
I have to ask a question though. The whole time they have been away and even today, they never once asked how i was when we spoke on the phone. I kind of feel like i am just the vessel. Am i being oversensitive or is this normal. I know once bubs comes, i'm no longer important but just a how's everything going over the last 3 months would have been nice. Don't get me wrong i have a great relationship with them too. THey even today asked how my dad was but not me.
Anyway the footy is on so DH waiting for me to join him in the loungeroom. Tomorrow is labour day here so another day off work. YAY!
ibb- Sorry to hear about the in-laws. I am sensitive so if I were you I would be pretty upset. You have a right to feel the way you do, actually its quite rude. But if you have a good relationship with them, its a little hard to tell. Regarding your relationship, are they just being polite as your DH's parents, or are they genuine? I have a grandmother like that. She will never ask me how I am, or how is baby, or about appointments or scans or anything like that. But I have found that getting personal is difficult for her. Even though I am her ONLY grandaughter out of God knows how many grandkids, pealing off the top layer of politness and going deeper into 'personal' stuff is like extracting teeth for her. Maybe DH's parents are the same?
Also sorry to hear about your legs. They sound so painful. When do you go for your test results? :fingerscrossed: Its all clear. I have mine on the 12th.
About the ticker, I think I would be ok if I could find where the bloody signature section is. Gosh I feel so bloody stupid. So everyone else can find it and I cant. That would be right. Oh well, I dont spend much time on the computer. This is the only website I use and I have never used forums before. I even tried the troubleshooter part where if it doesnt work you can paste and save it to your note book on the computer. I did it and it didnt work, so I'm over it, but thanks anyway.
Hi Zoe! I thought I might be able to help!!!!
If you go into user control panel, which is top left on this page, next to friend finder.. There you can go into your signature, and then you paste in the little link from your signature - if you need help just pm me!!!
Not much happening for me today, cleaned up a lot of my beading/jewellry making stuff and packed it all away :( Did washing, normal housewife stuff :D When I woke up this morning I was lying on my back and there was this rock hard lump on my belly!! Musta been a butt or head - so cute!!!!
:wave:Ladies back again
Meliko.....Hun:hugs:Thanks so much i feel proud for getting this far,wow 7 sets of twins hey thats heaps. How often do you need to express your milk? will your boys go onto the breast soon? sorry so many questions iv been preparing my mind incase mine need NICU.Its really good to hear your boys are doing great and sooner or later they will be home.Do they base on "36" weeks before they let them go or just when they can cope?
Your sounding so happy i bet it must be good having them cuddles at night, well look after yourself ok XX
Hi Zoe...Hun i felt the same way until i asked my kids help hehe thats whats good about having teenage kids i suppose.
Just going to give you a little more instructions ok.Once you complete your ticker click on the "user control panel "its up in black on your left, then go to edit signiture and paste it there.
Dont give up ok we love to help alright:)
Hi Ibb....Ouch those cramps must have been hell:no:i have been soooo lucky coz this time around i havent had one yet with ALL my other 5 pregnancies i had them strange hey.Oh its a hard one when it comes to parents,i guess i do see your side though as its nice to be asked how is things ect but babe dont bring it to heart they proberly didnt realise it.Remember also we are very sensitive to everything ATM,i keep crying while watching movies :oand my hubby has to be on good behavour otherwise thats it i get worked up.Im just looking forward for it to be over now i miss sleeping on me belly.
Hi NM....Oh you had a good day, your so close to finishing the nursery now,one less job when thats done hey.Oh your little boy is doing so well at his swimming i would be proud also. Its good you got him starting early,i think i might do the same with these twinnies.
Well ladies i had spent most of the day at the dog beach yeh my DD and her DH came ova with her new puppy so she has two dogs and we have two plus one of my sons dog so we thought it was such a nice day why not take them all out, there we were with 5 dogs and all of them going nuts and chasing other dogs around what a headache but it was such a laugh. Now im just stuffed with all the walking so looks like a very early night for me.
Hi Kathy....Hehe we must have been posting at the same time.
thanx guys!!! My little men are so clever!!
Dearmum- Babe, u've done a AWESOME job!!! Bub's will get introduced to the breast at 34 weeks (in 2 weeks) but wont be able to take a full feed until 36-37 weeks. The SSB, Suck, Swallow, Breath reflex don't kick in until then. I have to express every 3 hours and once over night. I feel like a milk bar! But havin allot of trouble... my body isnt producing enough milk for both of them, Caleb does not tolerate formula however Xavior does, so Caleb gets most of the milk and Xavior is mostly on formula. I get a bit upset over the whole drama... Nurses on my back 24-7 about how much milk I'm getting... I can only do what I can do!! Lactation consultant said that its common if your babies are pre-term for the milk supply to be low. Hope you don’t have that problem.... DONT BUY A MANUAL BREAST PUMP!!!! They are useless!!!! I had to fork out $300 for a decent one, but its worth every penny! Bub's cant go home until at lease 37 weeks. xx
:wave:Meliko....Oh thanks for sharing that info,i always thought they could suck at 34 weeks without problems and there i was thinking it would be good if mine came at 34 weeks.
Sounds like alot of pumping, the nurses shouldnt be harsh about you not having enough milk they should understand this is common:no:i suppose you get some real nice ones and B*tchy ones. Thanks for the tip on electric pumps, what brand did you get?theres so many out there and its confusing.Does it take long to fill a bottle?
Hun atleast you get to see your bubbas,i still worry something is going to go wrong the last minute and sometimes wish they were out so i can see them alive.
Take care XX
ibb - Trust me DH got an ear full for waking me up. His reason for doing it, i didn't think it was that loud! I hope the epson salts and tonic water help with your cramps. Yep know the feeling about inlaws mine still haven't congratulated me on my pregnancy although they never ring to see how any of us are and don't ever come to visit. Funny thing is they live 2mins down the road, my SIL had a baby about a month ago and lives at home with them.
DM - Starting him at 6mths was the best thing i ever did, mind you my friend started her son at 6mths they are in the same class and he cries just about every lesson. I will try and remember to take some photo's next week. yep nearly done it's just so annoying that DS bed isn't here.

good morning ladies,
sorry i havent been on in few days. i have been a little sad lately and stressed.
i did however come to post last nite but my internet wouldnt let me even connect so i couldnt.
meliko great news that both of your boys have now graduated to the special care nursery.
they look like little cuties congratulations again.
bubbs have you got your results from your gtt yet? your 4d scan looks cute.
sorry to hear they stuffed up your ob appt how fustrating.
jojo oh how fustrating it must be for you to have to look for a maternity dress for a wedding and christening. i think most maternity dresses look like mu mu's. i dont own one and as i only have 6 weeks 5 days til tyler is due i dont plan on getting one.
good luck with your dress search.
maorimama glad to hear the scan on your organs went well and everything was normal.
as for the rental yes it is the land lords responsibility to fix stuff. the only thing that we ever fix(we rent also) is doors when dh gets angry and punches holes in them haha and screen doors as our cats wreck them.
at this house we are currently in the lace curtains are really cheap not even really lace and the cats are trashing them but i am not going to replace them until we move out otherwise the cats will trash the new ones.
jcr glad to hear your bp went down. mine was up the other day at my antenatal appt but the dr asked me to get it checked on saturday and it was normal. i think i was just stressed that day. not long till you meet your lil girl.
noahsmum glad to hear the painting is going well. hope you had a nice time when your aunty was over. sorry to hear of the bad nites sleep you had with bubba keeping you awake and dh drilling at 7am.
sounds like you have a clever little boy there with his swimming.
zoe sorry to hear of your teeth, hope they can fix them.
weird dreams are normal in pregnancy i had a few earlier on in my pregnancy.
i am guessing your ob saying you are measuring small is going on your fundal height? fundal height is not always accurate in measuring how big the baby is. it can depend how the baby is laying and how full you bladder is. 2cm either way is normal from what i have read. i read that 3cm either way can be normal but as i am not a dr i dont know how true it is.
my3boyz wow cleaning out the desk, only a few more days of work.
are u sad or excited/happy to be leaving?
sounds like you and leon are good.
bellamamma congratulations on your bfp hope it is a sticky.
mrsmermaid congratulations on your little girl. sorry to hear they think she is measuring a week behind. hope she has a growth spurt.
ibb great news about your pelvis being good. sorry to hear about your swollen ankles is your ob concerned at all? why was your ob a jerk? do you have your gtt results yet?
dearmum hope your scan goes well wednesday. wow only 3 weeks til you meet your babies how exciting. glad to hear you had a nice day at the beach with your dd and dogs.
hello to everyone else.
afm been stressed and sad lately.
gd is stressing me out a bit and i finished work 3 weeks early on friday when i didnt really want to.
dh told me to finish work as my bp was high at weds antenatal appt and my gd. gotta do it for tyler!
now i am stressing over money.
have my growth scan tomorrow then i have to see diabetes specialist on wed 10am then antental appt wed 11am.

me yesterday at 33 weeks 1 day gestation.
Hi Ladies,
Well I tried what you said Heather and Dearmum, lets hope it works. Hmmm, I feel like such a dope. I have seen the User Control Panel heaps of times and never thought twice as I was actually looking for 'signatures' on this page. Thicky thicky.....
Heather- Sorry to hear you had to finish work earlier than you wanted to. I suppose you got to do what you got to do, but I know money worries can be a weight on your mind. I dont know what I can say to help, but I hope things work out for you and everything will fall into place.
NM- I cant believe DS bed still hasnt arrived! I would be giving that Forty Winks a rev for sure.
Meliko- Sorry to hear about the milk issue. As for the nurses, they really get to me sometimes. Some of them are so rude. Surely they can see you are doing your best. Some people just should not be in a job like that. YOur boys sound like they are progressing well. How are you?
Woo-hoo it worked, thanks guys!
Well I am still at the stage where people are not sure if I'm pregnant or fat. Heather, there is so mistaking your pregnant belly! :yelclap: A lovely belly shot, you look great.
Heather- Forgot to say I'm only 2 cm out (yes, fundal height) and from the way bubba was moving before hand, I think he was laying cross ways therfor making my tummy a little flat. I did mention this to the midwife, but she didnt respond so I thought prehaps it was a silly thought.

Yay Zoe you got it :yelclap:, it took me ages to figure out that as well. You are looking absolutely gorgeous.
Meliko I can't get over how well your boys are doing....they are going from strength to strength :smiliedance:. Hon don't worry too much about your milk supply at this stage....stress will only make things worse. All my babies were premmie too and I found after a few weeks of them suckling all was good and I actually had an over supply. Hang in there babe.
Dearmum :yelclap: 33wks....I am 29 this week and counting. Just thought I would mention to you that my youngest DS born at 35wks took to the breast like a duck to water and I had no problems with him, but my oldest DS born at 36-37wks didn't have the sucking reflex so I think all babies are individual and you just have to take it as it comes. You are doing so well to get to this stage after your earlier frights with your cervix etc.
NM won't be long before Noah is in his BIG boy's bed....it's such a milestone in itself. I too don't like being woken before I am ready and would of been pretty ****ed if that was my DH.
Ibb gee I really hope you get some relief from the tonic water and epsom salts....I hate cramps and thankfully have only had them a few times this round.
How are all our other lovely ladies?
Well my appt today went well......GTT all good...everything normal. Scan results show that I don't have gallstones :yelclap: so the Dr is not sure what was causing that pain. I have done my booking forms for the hospital so just waiting for a midwife to contact me so I can get that end organised. Surprisingly I have lost weight since my last appt....not sure how as life is still the same. The Dr and I spoke of the possibility of me going into labour naturally and :fingerscrossed: if I don't go overdue he reckons all will be fine....I am really excited at that prospect after 4 inductions.
Hi ladies. A big thank you to everyone who gave advice to Zoe about creating a ticker. I think I've finally managed to do mine now. I've been trying to work it out for months.
Meliko, it's just wonderful to hear you're boys are doing well. I bet you're counting down the days to when you can take them home with you.
Heather, you look just beautiful! I hope I look that good at 33 wks. Hope you can relax a bit and stop stressing. I know it's hard, but just keep coming back to what's important - a heathy bub and a healthy you.
Maorimama, great to hear all your test results came back normal. Fingers crossed you go into labour naturally.
I'm gearing up to finish work at the end of the month. It's early, and I feel a bit guilty about that, but DH needs help. He works from home and we've got contractors doing renos that keep distracting him. I need to take over the renovation management and the accounting for his business to help free up his time. But everyone at work seems to get this look of shock when I tell them that I'm going on mat leave. I guess I don't look that big yet. I know I'm a bit sensitive about it. But is 2.5mths out that bad? I haven't had a holiday in almost 2 years, so I think I deserve a bit of 'me' time, plus my job can be very stressful at times. *Sigh* Sorry for the whinging.
Anyway, the lounge room is almost finished so I will be able to move all our junk out of the nursery soon and start setting it up! I'm so excited about that. It'll probably take me all of an hour to do, but I just want to fuss over it a bit. he he.
:wave:Ladies
Well im having a boring day just lazing around the house:pi love school holidays.
Hi Heather.....:hugs:I can understand how you feel having diabettes can get you down, having to give up all the best foods aint that easy.Hun just remember in little over a month it will be all over.
Oh your looking very pregnant love your belly,no stretch marks?
Hi Crystar....I say good on ya for stopping work early, time goes so quick its nice to have some "your" time.Have fun doing up the nursery.
Hi Maorimama......:yelclap:Yay everything seems A ok,now you can sit back and just wait for buba.
Oh i hope my babies can suck when they come, but yeh if not im sure in time they will.Im going to get a Elec pump so i can have help at home, just not sure what brand is best.Babe Kimmys computer broke down thats why she hasnt been on,but in a few weeks she is getting a new one.
Hi Zoe....whoohoo it worked :D
Babe it wont be long and your belly will just pop out.Iv had a big belly since 6 weeks :o
Hi NM.....I guess your little boy is a natural at swimming some kids love it and some hate it,i think its great to start them young.I have a pool so im hoping my twinnies will come in with me this summer, gota find some sort of floaties for them.
Hows all our other ladies?
Well i better get something done im still in me dressing gown hehe.
hi Ladies
hope everyone had a fabulous weekend
heather .. you look gorgeous !!!! ... love the belly shot. sorry to hear you have been feeling sad ... as you say, you have to do it for Tyler ... I hope you can get through the next couple weeks without stressing too much, but it is hard .. take care .. and yes, the maternity dresses are not that pretty .. thankfully I managed to get one of my own dresses to fit, with some help from DH with the zip
DearMum - not long now ... you will meeting those precious babies before you know it . .I am so excited for you .. what a lovely family day you had, especially with all those puppy dogs ...

Zoe - nice work getting that ticker to work ... I too have days still when I look fat ... surely our time will come when we are def, 100% look pregnant ..
meliko - thanks for the info on breast pumps ... I was looking into them and had another girlfriend tell me not to waste time with a manual pump, especially trying to express for two .... make sure you give those nurses what for, how dare they give you a hard time ... :shame: .. hope your milk comes in abundance over the coming days and weeks ..
MM - so glad to hear your GT was clear :smiliedance:
Bubbs - hope you enjoyed your baby shower and are enjoying your long weekend .. we dont get one in Qld .. ggrrr
Kimmy - if you are reading, hope you and Dylan are doing well ...
Crystar - nice to hear from you ... sounds like a great plan to finish up work early, help DH get the house sorted and chill before the bubbs is born .. dont worry about what other people have to say ... I say good luck to you .. wish I was finishing up as well
Congrats on your little girl Mrs Mermaid !!!
 my3, JCR, sarbear, ibb and anyone else I have missed
Well .. AFM ... had a weekend full of visitors .. BIL and SIL for the weekend ... another couple around with them on Saturday night for dinner then friends from Hervey Bay dropped in yesterday .. need a weekend to recover  was meant to head to Melbourne tonight for my second last trip .. but the stupid airline send me a text, they are 5 hours LATE .. meaning I wouldn't get in and to the hotel til after 1am .. I can't cope with that kinda cr*p right now so I cancelled my trip .. happy days for me ! Nothing else to report .. all going well ..
Hi Ladies,
Sorry won't be doing personals today...I have alot to catch up on...i haven't even read everyones posts either but just a couple...Meliko I am so glad taht ur bubs are doing awesum. How exciting :smiliedance:
How many week are they now??
Dearmum - Wow 33 weeks...thats great. I bet u're getting nervous and excited now.
Thanks for bringing up the tips on breast pump...I have beent old about electric as well so will be looking into investing in that...I've heard that Medela pumps are great...might be worth checking it out.
I had my "surprise" baby shower on saturday...Of course i knew some details but had to play along...DH had taken me for baby shopping so when we got home, the house was nicely decorated with twin baby photos and balloons and streamers...the girls were all waiting around as soon as i entered...Surpriseeee. hehehe
was good fun though.
Was a fairly long day...went from 1pm till11pm...1 to 6pm the girls were alone and then after 6pm the partners joined in...there were alot of ppl in the house...about 40 ppl...but turned out to be a great night with games to play, chattering away...some of us were fairly tired though so some just sat inthe corner ppl watching...
Got some great presents too...
We got our twim pram that we were after...our group of friends all contributed and got us the pram that we had picked...of course DH knew all about it so was a nice surprise for me.
My sis in law gave us a baby bjorn active carriar...we were looking into that as well.
We also got baby monitors, baby bath thermometre, some clothes, 2 high chairs from the one person - both same colours. :p so the babies don't fight.
Got teddies, nappy bag...so alot of stuff.
my parents and my sis and her DH are going to get us the cots...so we're doing very well.
I have another baby shower being organised for my work adn school friends...thats happeningon 1st Nov so am really looking forward to that on etoo...that will be more of my kinda thing...should be fun.
So yes i surely did get spoilt...well my babies did...hehehe
Not much else happened over the weekend...just took it easy...weather wasn't pleasant so just relaxed.
Hope u're all doing well.
I haven't heard from Kimmy so will text her to see how shes going...i only hjeard from her last week and did post it up on BH...
Heather - U r looking great hun..Love teh belly shots and u're looking so awesumly fit...good on u hun.
:yelclap:
bubbs - sounds like a great day and your bubbas certainly did get spoilt ... lucky you have held out on the shopping, explains why your DH didn't want to buy anything too early .. he knew of the baby shower plans ... you guys all got spoilt ... :yelclap:
How is everyone else ?? .. it is very quiet in here at the moment ... maybe a combo of school holidays and lovely warm weather ... hope everyone is well :flowerz:
MM - I keep meaning to ask .. many many month sback, you were looking for a pattern for MCN - did you find one ? We went to Eumundi markets on the weekend, and they zappy nappy people had a stall .. their MCN are for newborn to 3yrs .. we are thinking of doing a combo .. with twins it will saves us close to $6,000 over 2.5 years !

Bubbs sounds like the baby shower was a hit....how lucky are you and your babies to get what you needed, that's great news and makes things alot easier for you and DH I would imagine. I am sure your next one will be great too.
Jojo I love the Eumundi Markets.....yeah I've brought a few MCN's from different brands...just want to trial them first to see how good they are, once I pick my fav I'll get more. I am using a combo of flats and MCN's with disposable for when I am out.
Dearmum thanks for the update on Kimmy, I was really starting to worry about not having heard from her. She gets induced soon doesn't she?
Crystar I think it's great that you are finishing up work earlier, it's not like you'll be doing nothing and you and DH get to spendsome time together before your bubs arrives.
Not alot to report here....that last week I have woken up with a really sore throat so I hope it's not a cold coming on....other than the usual aches and pains that's pretty much it.
Nooooooooo I just lost my post :crying: That is just so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!! That'll teach me not to write everything down in word first before posting!!! Damn!
Will try again
Mrs Mermaid: Congratulations on your little GIRL :yelclap: Don't worry that she is measuring a week smaller than dates. Many babies go through growth in little spurts. Hopefully she has caught up by your next scan.
Meliko: Wonderful to hear that the boys are doing so well. They are little champs and making their mum and dad really proud. If the lactation consultant said that supply is usually low in premmie baby mummies then I wouldn't worry about what the midwives say. Some can be like Nazi's when it comes to breast milk and breast feeding. I know there is a lactation boosting recipe in the generals thread. it is for lactation cookies and should be a stickie. They are supposed to help with supply and taste great to boot. So if you are interested you can have a look see and see if that helps you.
dearmum: Congrats on getting to 33 weeks!! You are doing so well. Have fun seeing the twins tomorrow.
ibb: Sorry about the swelling. My friend had really bad odema in the last trimester and all she could wear on her feet were thongs. Did the OB give you any hints on how to reduce the swelling? :hugs:
heather: Sorry you are feeling down with having GD and having to finish work earlier than you wanted :hugs: But as you said your well being and Tylers are more important. You look fantastic in your belly shots as well :yelclap:
bubbs: Glad that you enjoyed your baby shower and got spoilt rotten. Its great that some of your big ticket items have been bought for you.
NM: Noah is such a clever little boy and doing so well with his swimming. Glad to hear that things are coming along for bubbas nursery and shelves are being put in. You will need to post up some picces for us to see once it is all done.
jojo: Sounds like you had a very busy, but enjoyable weekend. I am sorry your trip to melbourne didn't go according to plan, but maybe that is a blessing considering that you must be so tired by now with the twinnies.
moarimama: Good to hear that you passed the GTT and that all is going as well as can be. Just read your post. Hopefully you aren't coming down with anything.
Crystar: Don't worry about what others say. I think finishing up work 2.5 months before bubs is due is quite reasonable. Plus it will do you and baby a world of good not to be in a stressful job.
kimmy: Hope you and Dylan are doing well.
JCR: Not long to go now before you little girls arrives. How are you going?
timogirl: Haven't heard from you in ages. If you are reading and have a bit of time, post and let us know how you and bubba are doing.
Hello to everyone else that i have missed
AFM: Only 3 more days before I finish up. I have been training the guy that will replace me this morning and writing up instructions on what needs to be done.
Leon is doing well but has slowed down quite a bit with his movements. i am not worried though as i do feel him several times a day.
Ok got to get back to work.
HI Ladies
I've just texted Kimmy to see how shes been doing...here is her reply:
I was just about to send you a message! I'm fine 17 days to go, but totally over it, i hurt all the time i'm up at least 4 times a night so no sleep, i get full on contractions every day that go nowwhere. How is everyone? I hope to be back online by the weekend, well I hope!!
Poor thing can't wait to get her bubba out...don't blame her...am 27 weeks and feeling that way already so can only imagine how shes feeling.
I'll keep you all updated once i hear from her...
Heather - you look fantastic! Sorry to hear you had to finish up work earlier then you wanted to but DH is right it's the best thing for you! I hope you manage to get some rest and stop stressing
Zoe - It's getting on my nerves i will have to give them a call this afternoon and see how much longer i have to wait
MM - I am a bit worried that DS is going to start climbing in and out of bed though i hope the tranisition from cot to bed is a smooth one.. Good to hear your results came back fine, YAY that's great you might be able to go naturally.
Crystar - I think it's great your finishing up early to help out DH, you shouldn't have to explain or feel like you have to explain the reasons why your starting maternity leave early. The added bonus you get to have more "me" time
DM - that's why we started Noah so early because we have a pool as well... I would love to see your twinnies in the pool with floaties
Jojo - Sounds like you sure have been busy what a weekend. Hope your fitting in some rest as well
Bubbs - Sounds like you had a great time and got very spoilt at your baby shower, how exciting another one to go, by the time you have that one you won't need to buy your babies anything else LOL.. Poor Kimmy sounds like she is having a hard time atm, pls tell her we are thinking of her
My3 - YAY 3 more days to go!
Not much happening here we had another make up swimming lesson today and had our friend come over to do a new power point in the kitchen after my nap i'm getting our front windows at the house tinted so it's darker through the day for when bubs arrives. But for now i'm going for a mummy nap.
Hi Ladies
Well i have woken up to a back ache:no:im just going to keep a eye on it coz if it doesnt go im going to head to the hospital im freaking out it maybe preterm labour.Other than that im going great im sure my bubbas are getting heavier coz my belly is very tight again.Im off shopping with my DD today coz she needs glasses, she had her first night sleeping at her sisters house must say i missed her.
Hi Bubbs.....Oh your bubbas really did get spoilt:plucky you guys not needing to buy much hey.Yeh im going to look into electric pumps i reckon it will come in handy.I was thinking of you all weekend.
Hi Jojo.....Babe how have you been feeling,do you get heartburn?iv had it a few times and i think its because i went to bed after a spicy meal.Hows your nursery coming along?
Hi Maorimama....Haha that was funny just as i was to reply about Kimmy bubbs txt her,yeh she is due in about 2.5 weeks a couple days before me lucky thing.
Hi My3boys....Hmmm not long until your little boy comes hey,do you reckon you will go early?
I was thinking it would be good if we had a thread for baby arrivals, what do ya reckon?
Hi Kimmy....:hugs:Babe i feel ya pain, havent had a good peaceful sleep in ages.Wont be long now yay.
Hi NM....Sounds like a good idea getting bubbs room tinted:yes:hmmm i should look into doing that myself.I was thinking i wonder what people use for new borns in the pool...im going to have a good look what they sell.
:wave:to our other ladies
Zoe: I could have sworn that i did a post to you earlier...but its not there! Talk about preggie brain!
Anyways I had to  at all your efforts to put on a ticker. Glad that you finally got it up and running! :D
dearmum: mmmm I think and arrivals thread would be good...although we are already late as Meliko's already had her precious bundles!
Bubs: Please let kimmy know that we are thinking about her and hope that bubba comes soon so she doesn't have to go through all this pain. Sending her a load of :hugs: and hope to hear from her soon.
Well ladies, I slept wrong last night and woke up at 5am to the most excruciating pain on the side of my bump. It was enough to take my breath away and to make walking the 2 m to the ensuite bathroom really difficult. Thank goodness it went away after a while, but I couldn't get back to sleep after that so now I am feeling
dearmum - I love seeing your ticker .. just over 2 weeks to go ... let us know if that back pain goes away ... nope, no heartburn .. I get the odd bit of indigestion now as I think there is a fight going on for space  I now just graze all day and avoid big meals.... I think it would be a great idea to start a births thread .. our pregnancy thread will have run its useful life ... and the topic of out conversation will be less about us and more about our bubbs ..
my3 - 3 days to go ... :yelclap: I have to be honest and say I wasn't terribly upset about cancelling my trip - I am tired but OK if I get to bed at a reasonable time .. just still loving being pregnant
NM - getting as much rest as I can - the problem is when I have an afternoon nap I NEVER want to get up .. is easy for me to get 1.5 hours solid sleep in the afternoon ... but sometimes work gets in the way
Bubbs - thanks for sharing Kimmys update ... poor love ... she seems to have reached the end ... tell her we all say HI and wish her as much comfort as she can find in the next 17 days :hugs:
AFM - I have had a few people tell me I am tiny for 24 weeks with twins .. I know they mean well but it is not what I want to hear (no doubt if they were saying I was huge I wouldn't want to hear that either). My belly is growing slowly and my weight gain is on target, almost to the exact 100 grams .. I feel my babies move and my babies have always been big for their dates - I just think beause I am tall I dont "appear" as big as I actually am, if that makes sense.
Dearmum - Yup i've been getting heartburn too...so need to eat smaller meals. Although i usually eat pretty fast so sometimes i lose track of how much i've eaten and then bang...the heartburn just doesnt' stop.
I am feeling heaps bloated and heavy and tight in the tummy too...i guess its tummy growing and stretching.
Yup keep an eye out on that back pain.
Jojo -I've had ppl say that too...infact over the weekend someone said to my Dh that they thought i was tiny compared to having twins and my DH got worried. No joke i look like a full term single pregnancy rather then 27 weeks...my tummy is out...don't listen to ppl...
NM - Lucky u get to take a nap.. i wish i could as well...am in really need of a nap...i can't hide under my desk either. hmmm
my3boys - last week for u hun..i bet u're as excited as I am...next week is my last week for which i plan to take two sick days leave. HA.
Am really looking forward to finishing up.
I will pass all your messages onto Kimmy.
AFM - I am feeling really tired...could do with a nap right this very minute.
this daylight saving has really thrown me off.
Babies are really moving alot..i can feel them constantly...i just wonder don't tehy want to take naps...
but its great...gives me great reassurance.
Hey (Sorry TMI) does any of you feel that you have trapped air inside of you...i have been finding that i am not able to release the air until i actually go to the loo and i start farting like theres no tomorrow. Just farts at this stage...feels like alot of trapped air.
hmmmm
Kimmy's reply to conveying her all your messages:
Thank them for me xxx
I'm going to try and get troy to drag the old comp out of the roof tonight, slow but workable if the mice haven't eaten it. :)
How's dearmum, she hanging in there? I'm not allowed off the couch today!
DM - I had DS window tinted and it's perfect for through the day his room is dark maybe that's why he sleeps for so long. I hope your back pains aren't to much to worry about.
Jojo - God i wish i was still like that, up until about 2 weeks ago when i lay down to sleep through the day i sleep for 20mins and i'm still so tired! Don't worry about other people's coments our bellies all grow at different rates. I found the last 10wks was when i really started packing on weight and getting alot bigger
Bubbs - These days i sleep for 20mins and i am still really tired it makes it hard when i have to work of a night!
Hi Girls
Just a quickie while I have a free 5...
I am feeling like Kimmy....my back and hips are killing me I think my gal has had a growth spurt and I am feeling huge !!!!!
I think I was having braxton hicks on the weekend.....they were killing me too, just about over it, sick of not sleeping or being able to eat as I get heartburn like you wouldn't believe....so just want this bubba out :crying:! And I still have another 2 weeks of work :crying: (again), have to train my replacement and they dont start till next week....(not soon enough I say)
Bubbs - Wow you got so spoilt, I was like that with DS had a baby shower with 50 people and got so much stuff but decided not to bother with this one, as I would have to do all the work to prepare and I have pretty much everything except for girls clothes, but I figure people will buy as presents when I have her, nobody but you guys and DH know the sex, we decided to keep it a surprise....
Will post some more later....gotta run again:)
Cheers
JRC - We are the same when it comes to sex...only Dh and I know and you girls...we've kept it hush hush with everyone else too.
I hope that u feel better soon with the aches and pains. Its not fun. I think we get to the stage where we just want them out...gets very uncomfortable.
Take it easy hun.
Hi Ladies
Well thankfully my backache settled down after a couple of panadols, had me thinking there for a while.Funny i have been telling my DH how i want my babies out now and yet once pain starts i start praying they stay in a few more weeks silly me.My next goal is 34 weeks.I have my doc and scan appt tommorrow cant wait to hear how big they are now.
Hi Kimmy....Babe your doing a great job just keep it up ok not long for us now :smiliedance:
Hi Meliko....Hun i was wanting to make a new thread for our new arrivals and would love you to be our first? if its ok can you post me all the details so i can pop it up.Babe give your boys a big hug from me ok;)
Hi JCR.....:hugs:Awww these last few weeks are the worst, hang in there were are nearly at the finish line.
Hi Bubbs...Yep you will notice those stretching tight belly feelings alot, mine come and go i guess its da babies growing hey.:laughing:Havent had the farting problem yet.
Hi Jojo....Babe be proud if your belly is still on the small side coz it wont stay that way long:laughing:
Would love some belly pics hehe.
Hi My3boys.....:hugs:yep seems we are all not waking up to good these days,i have told my DH i want to swap sides tonight see how that goes.
Ladies best going had myself a bath now feeling very hot.
Dearmum - U've done really well to get to where u have with ur twins... Keep it up hun. I know its these little weekly milestones that we have to get through...the further we get the better for us and the bubs.
Goodluck with ur appointment today...let us know.
Its been deadly quiet in here...hope u're all doing well. Looks like we're all experiencing some sort of discomfort or the other...all part of the package though I guess.
I've been feeling really tight and bloated around my belly since this week...and not being abel to sleep very comfortably. Although i shud be used to it by now as its been a thing for me since around 14 weeks. :p
Next weeks my last week at work and i can't wait to take rest at home and sort my house out a bit for the arrival of my babies...exciting times ahead.
Anyone got anything interesting happening???
JCR - you are getting close .. and only 2 weeks left at work .. hope you manage to get through the next few weeks ... are you doing anything for your hips and back .. massage from DH maybe ?!? :D
NM - oh .. that doesn't sound good .. I hope I can keep my good, long afternoon nap going as long as possible ... with Noah and work and normal household "stuff" it is no wonder you are tired ... even if you aren't sleeping, I hope you are at least resting .... :hugs:
Bubbs - as you say, we are all getting larger as our babies grow so we are bound to get uncomfortable .. I am OK for the moment ... but the thing I have noticed is that I can't roll over in bed as easy as I once could  it is funny, in hte morning DH tries to find the twins and they are nowhere to be found .. I have no idea where they hide though
DearMum - you deserve a medal - you are nearly 34 weeks ... that is a sensational effort .. be proud my love ! Not long now till those babies will come either way .. you are nearly FULL term .. I promise I will post some belly shots soon .. my DH finally downloaded the photos on the weekend .. maybe I will get DH to take one of me in my pretty red frock at the Wedding on the weekend ..
 to all you other ladies .. hope you are all fabulously well ..
Dearmum & Jojo - Hey do you ladies know what happens if we are to have a natural birth...once Twin A is out, how far apart does Twin B decide that it wants to come out, or would they trying to pull it out if its feet down???
Any ideas?
I've been thinking about this actually...am keen to go for natural birth (of course it all depends on the babies positioning) but just wondering how it happens.
bubbs - hey, I feel knowledgeable ! I have had this conversation with my OB and we talked about it at antenatal class as well ... we too want to try natural .. but as you say, it all depends on the position of Twin A, the presenting twin. As long as Twin A is head down .. and engages etc etc etc we should be able to go natural. Twin A will be born, then Twin B (they will allow Twin B to be born breech as it is low risk and will be "easy" compared to birth of Twin A, everything already stretched) .. then both placentas. The time between Twin A and Twin B can be 5 mins or 2 hours ... it is a wait and see .. but most of the time Twin B follows 20-30 mins after Twin A. Hope this helps .. we want to try an davoid being induced as well .. but that relies on the babies being ready when we are or when my body can take no more growth ... is going to be an exciting couple days/weeks when the time comes, isn't ??

Jojo - Thanks for the useful information...i was wondering about it but atleast u've answered this for me. Although I would have asked at my antenatal classes but thats not till end of this month. My twin A has always been head down and closest to cervix, Twin B was breech but wen we did our 4d scan, Twin B went head down too. so am hoping they both stay that way. :fingerscrossed:
i know it is going to get very exciting.
Because I am nearing my third trimester - will be in my third next week, am getting a little nervous and trying to get as much info as possible.
Have you thought about pain management???
So anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours...
I was thinking maybe couple of minutes. yeah right.
I guess we'll just have to be expected to stay in labour for longer.
Hey Guys
Dear mum- Have you made that new arrivals thread honey?? I would be happy to be the first of many more to come. I hope your back pain was not preterm labor.... but if it makes u feel better, my friend had her twins a few weeks ago at 33 weeks and she was only in hospital for just over 3 weeks with them!! Vwey quick visit and they were VERY healthy and alert at birth!!
Well on breat pumps....... Yep I can strongly agree, kick the manual ones to the kerb! It takes me 45min to fill a bottle with the electric, as apposed to the manual I only get 15ml in the same time frame! Mine is a medela swing, its awesome! pretty $$ but worth EVERY penny!!!
The boys are now 32 weeks gestation and are now classed as "big boys" Compared to the twins in nicu who weigh only 600g's, 27cm in length and just so precious and tiny! The boys will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! Can you belive it!!
Caleb is doing great now, coming out of the uncubator as of tomorrow (hopefully) and Xavior is still marching on, strong boys!
bubs- OMG! 29 weeks!!!! Gee that went quick!!! I had mine at 29.5 weeks and I'm starting to feel like I was never even pregnant, it went soo quick! Glad your well!
Jojo- Wow things moving along for you too honey!! soooo exciting!!
Kimmy!- You'll be joining us at the hospital soon by the sounds of it!!! how exciting!!!
my3boyz- how you going babe???? hope that little bubba is being kind to you! not long now!!!
Sorry I havn't personalised everyone!! I have lots of stuff to do, but will touch base with ALL of you soon.

Hi Mel,
No no am not 29 weeks yet...still 27 but looking forward to getting to 29.
So glad to hear that ur boys are being such good sport...they're thriving and thats all that matters.
and also glad to hear that u're feeling well too...saying that u can't even believe that u were pregnant...wow. I didn't realise we'd feel that way so fast.
I am getting heavier and heavier carrying my two boys at 27 weeks...but its a great feeling to know that so far all is going well. :fingerscrossed:
Take it easy hun and try to post up some more pics of ur boys.
:smiliedance:yay im off to see my bubbas again!
Hi Bubbs....Its all scary hey,yeh i was told so long twin A is head down there not worried about twin B because whatever position he/she is in they can go up with there hands:eek:and pull him out.Thye recommended epidural for sure they said,as can you imagine the pain of docs arms going in with pain relief. If that was to happen as it proberly will with me coz twin A is head down but twin B is transverse (accross ways) im thinking it wouldnt take long for twin B to come. Its all very scary and exciting.
Oh good on ya for stopping work soon, they do reccomend twin mummy to stop around 24 weeks. You will be out shopping more hehe.
Hi Jojo....Oh sounds like a nice dress i love red its me fav colour.Your going to enjoy the wedding its nice to get out and go somewere special, make sure you show off that bump ok you worked hard to get it.
Hi Meliko.....Oh thanks for the info on a 33weeker i was wondering about that i tend to google each week about preemies just to get a idea:pyep next goal is 34 weeks so come on Monday!
Wow 45mins to fill a bottle geez thats rather long i was thinking it would only take like 15mins:odid you get the dual one? im not sure on prices yet but i want to get the dual ones so i can have both boobies pumping at once, saves time.
Yeh you have been very lucky coz your boys were always "big boys" hun can you write down there birth weight and full names,if i have time i will do up the thread tonight:)must say those three weeks have gone really quick hey.Well take care of yourself coz your a mummy now:D
Hows our other ladies today??
Dearmum - Yup i've heard someone say to have epidural as well when they are in the process of taking out twin B...theres no way u'd want to feel hands going in and out of you. OUCH. (sorry tmi for other ladies)
How in the world did ur bubba get positioned transverse and the other head down...so whos resting on who??? oh dear.
I am stopping work at 28 weeks and am i glad that its next week for me. Did you feel you looked full term like a single pregnancy at 28 weeks?
I Look it and i think feel it too...i cannot imagine how i will get through the next 8 to 9 weeks.
Hi ladies:) not sure if this is going to work as i'm sending a text from my mobile! It's amazing how much you miss everyone when you can't get on. My computer goes in for a re format today, that should fix the nasty virus that wanted to distroy it! Well i think i'm down to 15 days? 2 weeks 1 day equals 15 i think:) i am so looking forward to my contractions, dylan is now giving me hell! He is a lot more quiet now, but the braxton hicks are a killer atm. There seems no end to the aches now and all i do is wee! I go to the midwives tomorrow then doc next wednesday to get an est weight if all good i go in the following thursday, all happening now, bags are packed just waiting. Take care all, i hope my comp will be back friday, bubbs you are a champ. Kimmy xxx
dearmum ... epidural .. I say if someone is going to stick their hand and arm up my cha cha KNOCK ME OUT  yes, I love my red dress and I am so glad that it fits - it is like fire engine red and I am looking forward to getting all dressed off and showing off my belly ... so no doubt my belly will get noticed covered in bright red chiffon .. enjoy seeing bubbs .. will look forward to reading your update this afternoon
KIMMY !!! lovely to hear from you .. we have all been thinking about you and sending our best ... will be waiting anxiously to hear some news from you ... the race will be on between you and Dearmum as to who has their baby first ... hope you and Dylan are as comfortable as can be ... rest up ..and most importantly .. take care :hugs:
Meliko ... your boys are 3 weeks already .. my goodness that has gone so fast ... funnily enough, DH and I were strolling along the beach yesterday with our puppies talking breast pumps .. and I said 15 mins should be sweet to empty a boob .. and I log on this morning and read it is taking you 45 mins .. man, that is going to put a dent in my day  like DearMum, I want to get a double and do both boobs together .. so gad to hear you are well ...
bubbs - try not to think about the next 8-9 weeks .. just focus on finishing work and then take each day as it comes .. I think we are only going to get more and more irritable as the weather gets warming ... it is going to be sooo nice to finish up work ... take it easy and get yourself all organised for bubbies arrival .. I wish now I had planned to stop work earlier .. oh well ... I will get by.
hope everyone else is having a great day ..

Jojo - When are u planning to finish off work?
Yeah i think once am going to be at home, i'll be feeling much more positive that i don't have to carry all this weight around.
I give hats off to my obs for demanding me at the time that i finish work at 28 weeks, and there I was sitting in her office saying no no i want to work till end of Oct. Little did i know what I was in for...am glad i listened to her and finishing up at 28 weeks...
Kimmmmmmmmmy - Oh hun...take it easy. :hugs:
I can only imagine what u must be feeling...that'll be us in some weeks...oh dear. not long to go now...u'll have it out before u know it. Keep those updates coming through text..am more then happy to update on here.
JCR - I hope your feeling better soon.
Bubbs - We did the same thing when i was pregnant with DS kept it a secret from everyone else it's a nice surprise for everyone when the bubba's are born.. YAY one more week of work.. My brother and sister are twins born 4weeks early both were head down and there is only 3mins in between them
DM - Your little twinnies are doing so well!
Jojo - Yep i always lay down for at least an hour while DS is asleep.. I just wish i could sleep for longer then 20mins during the day
Meliko - Your boys sounds like they are exceeding all expectations, that's fantastic
Kimmy - It's great to hear from you, i hope your resting up..
AFM - spoke to my boss the other day and told her that 2 shifts is plenty for me know it's getting harder and i want to start as early as i can. After 4hrs i my feet hurt and i'm really tired, i'm paying for it today, lucky DS is at preschool today.. Right i'm off for a rest

Bubbs there is 6mins between my twin sisters....I don't know if them being identical makes a difference in them arriving so close together but they shared the same placenta so I would imagine they needed to come out before it started to seperate from mums uterus.
Kimmy wow only 15 days to go....you must be getting really excited now. Hope you can get some decent sleep in before Dylan's arrival.
Meliko it's so nice getting updates on your boys....I am very impressed with their progress....you must be one very proud mama.
Dearmum you are almost at your 34wk milestone :yelclap:how cool is that. With expressing, I have always done it by hand but having an oversupply made that alot easier.
Well not too sure what is up with my body....I have had back ache since yesterday avo and getting lots of BH's, I feel like baby has dropped as it's getting alot more easier to breath now and my heartburn is no where near as bad as it was. After being constipated this entire pg from the iron tablets I am now the complete opposite (sorry tmi) and have been for the last 3 days. I woke this morning and didn't even feel pg and it freaked me out. Not sure whether it's my body gearing up or not as it doesn't normally happen until you are close to or in labour with subsequent pg.
:wave:Ladies
Back from docs...well it went well sort of,my babies are now 4 pound (girl) and 4.12 pounds (boy) so i thought great nice weight but the docs are now worried about me boy:rolleyes:as he isnt putting on as much weight as he normally does ahhhh.
Anyway another good news to me is there both head down now:yelclap:im so happy about that. But theres another worry i have been getting bad back aches today and its got me worried i might be in labour and no one is home to take me to da hospital i have hardly no petrol in me car so im not feeling to good ATM.Another thing is the docs said they will more than likely induce me at 36 weeks :yelclap:so thats good but im starting to think i wont get that far.
i will txt Maorimama if i go into labour fingers crossed this backache settles down again i have taken strong meds so see what happens.
Sorry guys need to lay down
Dearmum - Oh hun...take it easy. Please do keep us updated with that back pain. I hope its nothing serious and u're not going into labour.
Glad to hear that both babies are head down now...thats awesum...but take it easy hun...:hugs:
Maorimama - How are u feeling now? still feeling the same? I hope its nothing serious for u either...or u not going into labour are u???
NM - Enjoy ur rest...lucky u. Wish I was at home to rest.
Looks like before we know it, we'll all be popping out our bubs...how fast is time flying.
Ladies just take it really easy pls...

hi ladies.
i am too lazy to do personals today.
had 2 appts this morning then had to pay bills and do shopping and have lunch and i still have to try and do dishes and put washing away before dh comes home. oh and dont forget cook dinner.
had a scan of tyler yesterday to check he is not getting too big and he isnt. measuring just right for his gestational age.
had a diabetes specialist appt at 10am then antenatal appt at 11am this morning. all is well. dont have to alter anything with my diabetes as yet but the dr said as pregnancy progresses they expect levels to rise.
tyler well, heartbeat and fundal height good. my bp was good. go back in 2 weeks time.

Bubbs I honestly have no idea what it's like to go into labour naturally but I would think it's far too early even though women go into preterm labour all the time.....I think it's just my body adjusting.
Dearmum your back pain could be just from having 2 on board and the way they are positioned. Try and get some rest today and don't stress okay. Good news to hear your appt went well....just remember that babies grow at different rates and your boy is a great weight for 33wks.....my DS7 was 5.5pounds at 35wks and your boy is not far off. The main thing is that he is gaining weight and getting bigger....I think it would be more worrisome if he had stopped growing. Ooh I have my phone by my side just in case I get a txt....need to get one of my sons to go get me some credit cause they have used it all :thumbsdown:but if you txt me I will ring okay.
JCR - Only 2 weeks to go! That is so exciting. I hope you're not in too much discomfort.
NM - I am glad you managed to get less shifts. I find it hard travelling and working and i sit down all day let alone standing up. Hope you can get some much needed rest.
Bubbs - Yay for finishing work next week. I am so jealous but i want to keep working as long as i can to save $$ Doc hasn't said anything about stopping yet, mind you he doesn't see me long enough to say anything LOL
DM -Each week is a good week. You are over the hump and the babies will come when they are ready. My SIL had alot of backpain and nBH with her twins and had them naturally at home at 37 weeks so you might still be able to hold off a bit longer.:fingerscrossed: They sound like they are growing well.
Kimmy - Good to have you back online even if its your phone. 15 days to go. Hope Dylan is not causing too much discomfort.
Maori - We are so close to our EDD and i am pretty sure i started to get BH last week. Not very fun. My back hasn't been too bad but the brace could be helping with that, the extra support etc. Hope yours is not too bad.
Heatherm - Yay for the diabetes results, you're handling it well. Good Tyler is still a good size.
Well i got a letter in the mail as my ob is on holidays. I passed my glucose but i am anaemic. Explains my tiredness. I knew i was too tired. My pelvis has started aching this avo but luckily i didn't have to stand on the train as a sweet guy insisted i have his seat.
Hanging out for my scan next week. I am 7 months (28 weeks) tomorrow. Feeling bigger and more awkward each day. Trying to avoid the scales LOL
Oh and DH got his results back re hearing test. I think i told you he was sick a couple months back with a bad cold and went deaf in his right ear. Well he has permanent and temporary hearing loss so not the greatest news. He has ti see the specialist and i'm not sure if surgery is an option down the line. Oh well at least the bassinet is going to be on his left side (when he is lying on his back!)!!
Hi Girls
Ibb - Sorry to hear about ur Dh's hearing. :hugs: I hope the specialist is able to help him some how or the other to atleast get some of the hearing back... :fingerscrossed: for u him.
Also glad to hear that u glucose test came back good...yeah i am suspecting that I am anaemic too but i get my results back on monday. Can't wait to know how things are progressing.
Maorimama - Yeah u are right...maybe it is ur body adjusting...preparing u for whats ahead.
Enjoy it hun. :)
Dearmum - How have u been feeling love? how is that back pain?
Heather - Am glad to hear that everyhting is looking great with u and tyler...thats how we want it to be.
AFM - Same same...nothing new to report. Just feeling a bit tired as didn't get to bed till 11.30 and then woke up twice for the loo...now am feeling drained out tired. looking forward to sleepin in a little on saturday.
Ibb - I would have loved to work atleast till end of Nov but because I am carrying twins, am already feeling full term like a single pregnancy and my obs didn't want me working over 28 weeks...she obviously knew the reasons behind it and am glad i listened to her because I am very ready to take things easy now.
I agree $$ is always a concern but surely not over my or by babies health...i was very disappointed at first but am over it now.
Jojo: this is going back a few days but just wanted to say that I didn’t “pop” out with this bubba until I was close to 30 weeks. Until then everyone kept on telling me how small I looked compared to last time. I know you’re carrying twins, but I wouldn’t worry too much about what others have to say. As long as the bubbas and you are feeling well then that’s all that matters. WOW only 100 g a week. I wish that were my weight gain!
Bubbs: Only another week of work left for you. I bet you are over working by now and can't wait to relax at home! I agree with you in terms of not worrying about what others have to say about your size. Everyone will have some comment to make whether you are carrying big or small.
JCR: I hope you are feeling better soon. The last weeks are always the worst as everything feels sore and you are so “over” the pregnancy in some respects. Just think that the prize at the end is your precious little girl! You poor thing. Can’t believe you still have 2 weeks of work left. Does that mean you are finishing up right before bubba is born? Gosh I wouldn’t be able to handle it
Meliko: Its always great to hear from you! So glad that Caleb is catching up to his brother and will be out of his incubator. Can’t believe that they are 32 weeks gestation already!
I expressed BM when I went back to work with DS. It would take anywhere from 5 minutes up to 45 minutes before my let down happened, but once let down occurred then I was able to empty my breasts quite quickly. Is that what you are finding? I used a manual pump though as there are no power plugs in the toilets at work.
Kimmy: great to hear from you. Hopefully they can fix your computer so you are back up and running ASAP. Ouch about the Braxton hicks! I don’t think mine are anywhere near as nasty as yours. LOL! You just reminded me that I will have to pack my bags when I am off on leave next week. I still haven’t even thought about what to bring yet.
NM: I can imagine that all that lifting and unpacking boxes would take it out of you. So hopefully just having 2 shifts as week would be better for you. Hope your DS enjoyed himself at day care yesterday.
Maorimama: rest up as much as possible. It sounds like your body is starting to prepare for baby coming, but you still have 11 weeks to go, so :fingerscrossed: that is nothing serious.
Dearmum: Glad to hear that both bubbas are head down. I think all bubbas grow at different rates and like moarimama said, as long as your little boy is putting on weight then it shouldn't be an issue. Rest up as much as possible. Hopefully your back ache eases and you can hold off having bubbas until 36 weeks.
Heather: great to hear that all is well with Tyler and that your GD is under control. Hopefully you are feeling better and not as upset as the other day. Oh and glad your BP is back to normal as well
Ibb: great to hear that you had passed your GD test and that your anemia has been picked up. At least now you can take iron tablets to help out. How nice of that guy to offer his seat for you. Not very many people do that these days. On no about your DH and his hearing loss. Hopefully the specialist can help him out.
AFM: Nothing more to report. Having trouble sleeping, but then again who isn't LOL! I woke up this morning and can't believe how freezing cold it is! What happened to Sydney's sunny weather???? Its grey and miserable and blowing a gale outside. Feels like winter all over again. Although it is nice to be getting some rain....hopefully lots will fall over the catchment! Hve a great day everyone....Tomorrow is Friday and my last day of work for another 6 months!!! YAY!!!

:smiliedance: :smiliedance: U must be so excited and thrilled...
I can't wait till next week friday when its my last day. Really truely looking forward to it.
Do keep us updated in ur pregnancy...u do have access to internet at home right?? and of course there is also ur buddy...
When is ur exact due date???
bubbs: I do have internet access at home and will keep you guys updated on how I am going. Will probably post at night when DS goes down for the night though instead of during the day. My EDD is November 11, so I will have about 4 weeks before bubba arrives.
NM is my sms buddy and I will text her once bubba makes his grand entrance!
I bet you can't wait to finish up. I am feeling quite tired with only 1 bub so I can't imagine how you are feeling with 2 on board. I am going to be busy. busy, busy with washing clothes and car and pram covers and muslin wraps etc. Can't wait to bring out all the itty bitty tiny new born clothes that DS had! :D
my3boys - yup...it is getting tough with carrying two and to think am only 27 weeks. so thats why resting at home will be bliss...am looking forward to doing allt hat myself. YAY.
Can't wait till next friday comes...its been a long awaited leave i've been dying to take. :raspberry:
Hi Ladies
Well after complaining yesterday those meds kicked in and i feel asleep and woke up fine. Now the B*****Y thing is back again i think my bed isnt good for me ATM,but were else am i suppose to sleep.Anyway no more complaining im just going to take meds each day until the babies are born coz i dont see this changing.
Im off to take my DD to get her eyes checked we have chosen the frames so she is happy.
Im thinking this weekend i will pack my bags and wash bubbies clothes no more delaying things.Any one else not ready yet?or is it just me the slacker:D
Hi My3boys.....:yelclap:babe you must be one happy Jan....dont work hard today hehe.
Hi Bubbs.....Babe i think you asked me if my belly at 28 weeks felt like full term....yep it did also when you go into your docs they measure your belly i think at 28 weeks i was measuring 34 weeks something in that range.Your doing great remember alot of twin mums have there bubs at that stage so becareful and be prepared.
Hi Ibb.....Awww:hugs:thats awful news about your DH i really do hope something can be done for him, maybe a inplant?
Lucky you not having diabettes you can still eat all ya fav foods.Yeh im anemic also so iv had to take iron tablets each day another huge pill they are:rolleyes:you should feel a bit better after a week.
Hi Heather.....Babe i feel your tiredness:laughing:
So glad all is going well for tyler!
Jojo.....How are you today?
Hi to the rest of our ladies.
Iv been bad i went out and got me self a pkt of timtams and there almost gone :oim a hopeless diet person.
My3 - oh no ... not 100g per week .. I wish  I have put on 7.1 kgs ... but am supposed to have put on 7.2 kgs .. so only 100gms under what I should be ... it has been more like 1.1 kgs each week for the last couple weeks ... only 2 more days to go woooo hoooo .. 6 months .. so that has you going back about March/April ? I finish up in December and will go back April-ish ... but maybe only 4 days per week ... we will see ..
Bubbs - not long for your either, and you will be a lady of leisure ... do you have internet access at home ? I hope so !
dearmum - all is well here precious ... my b****y back is killing me as well .. today it seems worse than before .. I am going out in sympathy with you ... I made some more of your chocolate balls last night and lets just say there are quite a few missing .. I have no idea where they may have gone :o
anyway, gotta dash, be back later ... need to go register my car - ugh, lets see how long this takes !
 to everyone else .. hope you are all well
Jojo - yes i do have internet access at home...thank god for that...otherwise i'd be going insane :hair:
Dearmum - Glad to hear the meds helped you..u're probabyl right...it could possibly be ur bed thats making u feel the aches and pains.
No u're not the only slacker...i haven't even got baby clothes...i'll need to look at what i'll need to take to hospital for myself and for bubs...so much to prepare when i'll be at home...am looking forward to it.
Yum..i could do with some timtams... :o
I've been getting sciatic nerve pain since last night...shooting pain starting from my butt down to my legs...makes it so uncomfortable. Heat pack helped a bit but its still there today. :(
MM - how are you feeling today?
Bubbs - You will be resting at home before you know it, not long now until you have finished up at work
Ibb - There is no communication at my work i told them Monday 1 or 2 shifts a week, i worked Tuesday and last night they called me in for a shift tonight! I struggled big time at work last night. Oh i remember that the travel is a killer i remember when i was pregnant with DS i struggled getting the train and sitting down for an hour i could never get comfortable. when i went back to work in the jan i made DH drive me to and from work until my maternity leave started in the March, thankfully he was working in the city and i changed my hours so he didn't have to wait around to much. OMG i can't believe DH lost some of his hearing.
My3 - He sure did he came for a cuddle when i turned up and would have been quite happy to stay there! YAY one more day of work to go! You sound like your going to be very busy when you first start your maternity leave. I went through all of DS clothes the other day pulled out everything i could use this time around oh i started getting emotional looking at all the little clothes, you sure do forget how little they were.
DM - If you want to complain do it, we are here to listen. oh speaking of tim tams i seen new white chocolate ones at work and apparently they are really good.
Well i'm buggered after my shift yesterday my back was aching like no tomorrow, we had mothers group this morning DS had a ball and is now happily sleeping thankfully he really wore himself out.
Message from Kimmy:
Dylan's head is down and engaged. :) and its no wonder I can't stop peeing. :)

Yeh back again i swear cant get of this site.
Still gota pop out with DD soon.
Hi NM.....Babe your one strong women working like you do and handling a todler:yelclap:do take it easy though coz your DS needs his mumma healthy.
Hmmm yummm i didnt see the white chocolate timtams,i have eaten a whole pk to myself in just 1 day:ooh well guess me babies wanted them LOL
Hi Jojo.....:hugs:It sure is a killer having a sore back hey, remember we are allowed to take meds at this stage so dont go in pain ok.Haha yeh i love those chocie balls but funny i only make them once a year coz thats our family tradition thing for Hari Raya so the kids really get into them when i make them. There already nagging me to make more tarts but i said nope you have to wait for our next hari Raya, plus i get stuck into them and cant stop.Oh your doing well with only 7kgs:yelclap:iv put on 13kgs and boy my legs are feeling it.
Hi Bubbs.....You must have heaps of baby clothes after your big shower on the weekend,i just cant seem to get the energy to do anything ect than i have to,but i will force myself this weekend.Oh ouch that nerve pain sounds bad,i hope it does stick around until you give birth. What have the docs said about it?
We are all on the last stretch and its really the worst part of pregnancy now,i know im over it.
Ladies i was joking to my hubby last night about i want these twinnies out at 36 weeks and if there not im going to i will use a recipe to get them out and you should have seen his face he was like noooo let them come then there ready...oh easy for him to say but im the one thats uncomfortable.Anyway i got a tip that you use 10mls castor oil in your glass of OJ.I swear i will be trying it.

Yay Kimmy, how good is Dylan for knowing exactly what to do.
NM I am okay....thanks for asking. Got some really sad news this morning....my midwife back in NZ who was also a friend and my mentor when I trained passed away yesterday....she was very sick with cancer so it's a blessing but still hard to take. I sure hope your employer gets their act together and gives you reduced shifts.
M3B yay one more day at work....you won't know yourself.
Dearmum hopefully only a few more weeks of feeling so uncomfortable. I have been thinking of investing in a recliner as it may give me some decent sleep.
Bubbs is that what sciatica is? I have been getting really sharp pains in my butt that travel down my leg too.
Feeling a bit down today as mentioned above so just trying to take it real easy.

Dearmum just a word of caution with the castor oil.....it gives you reallllllllllllllllllly bad diarrohoea and only really brings on labour if your body is ready anyway.
Castor Oil????!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
Oh girls I work for a chiro, sciatica sure is when the pain runs all the way down to your feet - not comfy at all :( tingling / numbness too..
Not much to report from me, had the scan yesterday cant even remember if I was on here or not to tell you girls but it all went very well anyway. Worked today till 3.30, working tomorrow and saturday too - I'm tired already!

Hi ladies just thought I would drop in with a quick post.
We had a scan today, I have to go back next week so that they can try and get a better view of the heart. During the scan the heart was right underneath my belly button which has some scarring due to the number of surgeries I have had.
Also the plalcenta is sitting quite low which could be a worry later on if it doesnt move up at all:rolleyes: what am I saying I AM already starting to worry!!!!!
Well ladies we are having a

.GIRL!!!!! Just quietly I think DH is on :cloud9:.
Yay Nicstar!!! Another little girl to add to our count. Woohoo!
I'm having a girl too as of 9 weeks ago but double checking next Thursday. Our own little princesses!
As for placenta, if its only low lying it still can move. I've had a couple friends do that recently. I have also as of 9 weeks ago complete praevia so getting that checked next week too and crossing fingers it has moved. No need to worry about it just yet though. Anything can happen:thumbsup:
Maorimama - I am so so so sorry to hear about ur midwife/friend in NZ...very sad... :hugs: Take it easy hun.
Yes that is what sciatica pain is...unfortunately i've heard that it only goes away with accupuncture but try putting a heat pack on ur butt. Its helped me a little and do some stretches. Not a very pleasant experience.
NM - How are u doing hun? any update on ur shift? i hope u do get to cut it down...
Nicstar - Congrats on ur little girl...another girl to add to the thread. how exciting.
Am sure she'll be daddy's little girl.
Dearmum - I've heard that about castor oil actually...i think 36 weeks is perfect for bubs to be out. even i want mine to be out by 36 weeks...:fingerscrossed: for both of us. :D
As for getting heaps of baby clothes...well surprisingly no i didn't...only one family gave me clothes. The rest was all the big ticket items like high chairs, pram as they all contributed, baby bjorn carrier, nappy bag so only got 4 summer suits...thats it. So will surely have to invest in baby clothes...plenty of time to do that.
Jojo - How are u going hun??? how many weeks are u now?
my3boys - Ur last day today hun. :smiliedance: u must be so excited. Are u having a farewell lunch and a nice presentation for u and some pressies for the bubba???
AFM - Not much to report...same old same old. DH keeps saying that he feels am very small considering am carrying twins and i keep telling him that he's out of his mind. he hasn't got a clue and shouldn't be commenting. I think he wants me to be MASSIVELY out there...
little does he know. not listening to him. :shame:
other then that not much..."boring"...
Morning ladies.
Kimmy: WOW exciting times. Dylan can come at any time now so woooohoooo!!! What a clever little boy
moarimama: :hugs: You have had quite a year with people being sick and passing away. I don't know what to say to make you feel better but just wanted to give you a load of :hugs: at this difficult time.
Kathy: Great to hear that the scan went well and bubba is doing well :yelclap:
Nicstar: Another little girl :smiliedance: hmmm the girls seem to be catching up in this thread LOL!!! i wouldn't worry about the placenta yet either. Like ibb said there is still plenty of time for it to move. At 20 weeks my placenta was sitting right on the edge of my cervix, but by about 30 weeks it had moved 4 cm.
dearmum: LOL! The race is on between you and kimmy! I have also heard that castor oil can give you a really bad case of the runs.....and may not work. What about nipple stimulation? I heard that that can work to bring on labour. Perhaps a better option than castor oil.
bubbs: LOL! By the sounds of it, its like your DH has had twins before! hahahaha... sorry just can't help but laugh at his comments to you about your size. Tell him not to listen to what others have said. Everyone carries differently and will pop out at different stages. Even from one pregnancy to the next, you will grow bigger at different stages so twins or not, as long as scans show that they are both putting on weight and on track with growth then I wouldn't worry or listen to what others have said.....perhaps you need to tell your DH that? LOl!!!
AFM: Last day of work. Just really twiddling my thumbs as I am waiting to get a report back from review before I send it off. So don't really have much to do as i have already cleaned out my desk and shredded loads of paper and done everything that I was supposed to do.
my3boys - I've already tried explaining it to DH. He'll be fine afterwards but then the following day he'll keep staring at my tummy and have a worrying look on his face.
he cracks me up too... :p
He'll get over it once he gets reassurance from obs that all is normal and from our scan on wednesday...
MM- big :hugs: to you hon .. so very sad ...
dearmum - we talked about castor oil at ante natal classes, and they say it is a big no no ... it causes severe runs and obviously that is not good .. well lucky for your kids, I ate enough choccie balls yesterday for all of them
Nicstar- congrats on your little girl, that is fantastic :yelclap:
Kathy - glad all was well with your scan ... I am tired by the thought of you working on the weekend .. goodness .. take it easy
my3 - :smiliedance: last day of work today - YYIIIPPPEEE .. enjoy spending your time at home with DS1 and getting ready for DS2
bubbs - I hear ya with the belly size ... just leave us alone people .... as for me, 24 weeks !!!
NoahsMum - you haven't posted this morning, I hope that is not because you worked another shift last night ... hope they sort out your roster soon ...
Big hello to everyone else !!!
AFM for me .. running around like a maniac at the moment .. but just wanted to come on and wish everyone a great weekend ... fly to Melbourne at lunch time for the Wedding tomorrow .. plus staying down for a couple days with work so need to make sure I pack workstuff as well .. have had to make a list - I can not trust my memory at the moment. Midwives appt next week so will be good to get an update .. starting to get side pains but read that is normal .. more uterus stretching .. making more rooms for my peaches ... ok , got to rush .. will try pop on later today ... take care ladies .. :hugs:
Jojo - Have a great weekend...enjoy the wedding in Melb and hope that work next week in melb isn't stressful. Be sure to take warm clothes...its really cold here in sydney so am assuming it'll probabyl be cold in Melb too.
Hi Ladies
:smiliedance:Gawd 34 weeks on Monday yeeha!
Hi Bubbs....Hehe well my DH says i look huge:(and he even had the cheek to ask if my skin will go back in.B****Y guys.
Hi Jojo.....Have a wonderful weekend ok,and show off that belly!
Hi My3boys......Oh its countdown for you now hey, give them a big smile when you leave:D
Hi Nicstar.....Babe congrats on having a baby princess she is going to be one spoilt little girl from her Daddy.Try not to worry about everything your docs will keep a good eye on your placenta.
Hi Kathy....Glad to hear your scan went well, how many weeks are you now?
Hi Maorimama.....:hugs:Big hug to you HUN...it must be sad times for you.Turn to your family for some laughs ok.
Well a big howdy to those ladies i have missed.
Ok now im thinking i wont do the castor oil trick, you all have scared me:laughing:hmmm maybe some white lies to my doc at 35.6 days hehe.
DM - I do i don't push myself and i take it very easy at work.. I brought the white tim tams yesterday oh they are good i could have eaten all of them last night but stopped myself.
MM - I am so sorry to hear about your friends passing, my thoughts are with you.
Nicstar - Congrats on your little girl, that's so exciting
Bubbs - Yeah ok just very tired today my show was on last night so i ended up staying up late then couldn't get to sleep... Shift wise it's just a matter of me saying i can't work so not to much of a drama just annoying i have to keep repeating myself over and over again.. Your lucky my DH keeps telling me i'm huge
My3 - YAY last day of work woo hoo
Jojo - No i was at the doctors at 8.30am this morning! Have fun in Melbourne!
Well i took Noah to the doctors today to have his 18mth needles my brave little man didn't cry but gave the nurse a dirty look! Then off to the clinic nurse where he was doing his cheeky smile at the lady.. My big little boy is off the scale for his weight and only average for his height.. I finally remembered to take my form to the doctors today for my phyiscal and bubs is still measuring a week behind, we listened to bubs on the doppler DS was wondering what the hell the noise was. She tried feeling around for her head but couldn't find it she thinks bubs is either curled up or sitting right back.. Oh and she weighed me i was dreading it i have put on 8kgs that's 3kgs more that i have put on compared to DS
Hi Ladies,
Had a few busy days so not been on for awhile. I'm waiting for the farrier to come any minute, so cant stay on here long.
Nicstar- Congratulations on your little girl. Another one to the thread!:yelclap:
NM- Poor DS on having his needles! What a brave boy not to cry, but I must say the dirty look is a hoot!:p Dont worry about the weight, I guess your body does what it needs to do, and every pregnancy being different and all. When I weighed myself 2 weeks ago I had put on 7 kilos, I'm dreading to think what I am now!
JoJo- Enjoy the wedding, have a great weekend. I live 1.5 hours from melb and let me tell you its been freezing here the last week! Take your winter woollies just in case.
M3B- Last day of work? Will you be enjoying it or feeling lost? Hope you can make the most of it. Think of all the things you can do. Like....um.....um......???
AFM- Funny day yesterday. DH and I went to the Elmore Field Days, and it was a long day. We were there at 9am (after 2 hour drive) and left at 6pm. There is so much to see and to do so we were on our feet most of the day. At lunch time DH and I lined up at a few food stands to get a bite. When DH had is baked potato I told him to go and sit down while I was in line getting my hot chocolate, as I wanted him to get a seat while there was one available. While my cuppa was being made, an older farmer put his baked potato on the sauce and serviette table. As I had glanced over I cheekily said to myself, he better be careful no-one knocks of his spud. I was still laughing to myself at the thought of some one pinching his lunch, so when he stood in the line next to me with his mate, I responded to him when he spoke. He said with a grin on his face that he had to be careful that no one pinched his potato. He was sort of talking to his mate, but looking directly at me. I laughed and said yes you better, I was eye-ing it off! To that he said well then Im eye-ing you off, you can have the potato! Well I was a bit gob-smacked as being an old farmer I thought it was just being polite making conversation, but when he started looking me up and down and giving me a sleazy look I said, "Oh Im spoken for", and looked away. As it was so cold I was wearing hubby's big coat, so side on the farmer couldnt see my belly. He mutted to his friend something about 'hard to get' and so when I turned toward him to walk away (after getting my cuppa) he had full view of my blooming tummy, and well, the look on his face was priceless! He nearly died! I had to laugh to myself as when I was walking away his mate was giving him hell for picking on a "pregnant one":yelclap: I was a little cheesed of in the begining, but well when he got knocked down a peg or two, it was really funny! Serves him right!
OMG another pregnancy brain moment i just realised i can't count i haven't put on as much weight as i thought i had! I have put on 4.5kgs not 8 what a dumb ****.
Zoe - The 18mth needles are the easiest, the 12mth needles are the worst, make sure you send your DH with bubs for those ones! i would have loved to have seen the look on the farmers face.
Zoe - Thats classic. what a sleaze bag. Serves him right indeed.
NM - Now isn't ur little boy a champ. Good on him for being so strong. YAY.
and 4.5kg gain...thats great hun and there u were telling urself u had piled on lots. hmmm.
Dearmum - Yeah looks like castor oil is surely a no no. But u said that they would induce u by 36 weeks am i right???
my obs said they will induce me at 38 weeks...too far if i have to wait that long. My ideal is to have them by 36/37 weeks...surely not earlier though.
I have my obs appointment on monday...will be getting my GD results. Am truely not looking forward to it to tell u honestly...lets see what happens. Also planning to take a sick day on monday... as my appointments at 10.30 and by the time i get into work, it'll be late - midday probably...not much point. Sick leave here i come. :D
I also have a growth scan happening next week wednesday...so looking forward to that. Theres alot happening...28 weeks is an exciting week for me with obs appointment, growth scan, inlaws leaving for their 7 week holiday and my last week at work. :smiliedance:
Bring it all on I say.
Anyway Ladies, u have a lovely weekend and I'll try to catch up over the weekend...enjoyyyy...i hope the weather is nice and warm and sunny here in sydney...but its not.
Bubbs - He sure is, he just had a freddo for being so brave, a rare treat for him... yeah here i was thinking i had put on 8kgs and it's only 4.5kgs so i'm about 1.5kgs less then i was with DS. I'm starting to think that i won't have such a big baby this time she is measuring a week behind. Lil DS on the other hand is now off the scales for his weight LOL.. Thank god for sick leave you might as well use it before you go on maternity leave.. I know what's with the weather, it's bloody frezzing today!
