View Full Version : Preg thru IVF thread 4wks - Birth (prev 4wks - 20 week scan #4)
Maorimama - I'll try to explain it best i can.
I had this weird niggly ache (like someone pressing on a bruise) at the top of my right buttock which played up from 8 weeks and got worse. It got so when i did shopping or was on my feet for most of the day, i was in pain afterwards and i was advised to do physio and not walk long distances. The physio helped.
I've had lower pelvic pain for a while and thought it was just pregnancy too but the last 4 days the pain was really bothering me, i started to waddle just to minimise the pain and it hurt when i moved in bed or balanced on one leg (ie putting pants on). It just got worse quite quickly and it was under the bump in the groin area near the panty line. It felt like i had been punched and it was all bruised but also really sharp bouts of pain pulsed through it too.
Thursday afternoon, i was in a lot of pain (sharp jabbing) sitting down and when i moved, i took panadol and called the hospital and they said to use heatpacks, lie down and rest. I had a warm bath, more panadol and heatpacks but this pain was worse than period pain (which i used to get really bad). Hard to describe but it was purely in the groin area and it was pulsing stabbing pains and it switched from one side to the other.
I really hope you don't have this as i was told it is going to get worse as i get heavier and sometimes women end up on crutches for a few days at a time to take the weight off the pelvic bone completely. I see the physio Monday to see how bad i am.
See if you can see a physio who specialises in pregnant women and get them to check you out.
here are a few pics of little tyler from yesterdays 3d scan.
he didnt want to move his hand away from his face, guess he is a little shy.
noahsmum cute little girl u have there.
ibb sorry to hear of your crappy day.
hope u are having a good weekend now.
sorry to hear about your pelvis.
Hi girls well it sure is a bit of getting use to saying 'she' DH is having no problems 'daddy's little princess' he is even calling her by her name which i can't do yet, it was the same when i was pregnant with DS.. Strange little thing aren't I.
DM - I am sure i am eating your fair share of chocolate!
ibb - You poor thing sounds like you have been in so much pain. I hope this pain goes and your feeling better soon
heather - Tyler is so cute already
My shopping addiction has started YAY
today is the day :smiliedance:
I shall report back just after lunch .. can't wait to see my little peaches ...
Jojo - YAY i'm soooo excited i can't wait to hear what your having!
Ok short story first, with DS i borrowed a cradle, bath and a toy anyway her cousin is pregnant and due a few days before me i told her she could have her stuff back it was cool, she said no i could use it. She has said it to me more then once so i told her she could have all the stuff back i have a basinette, i just thought it would be easier and to save arguements. Anyways i didn't have one but i sure do now... I just won one on Friday on ebay get this $41 and i am picking it up today! I'm so excited... Plus i found a friend to give it to when we are finished with it so it won't go to waste
I have been MIA from this thread for a while now as I have been having HORRIFIC headaches and have had a cold.
Even today Iam feeling very lazy and am still in my PJ's with a decaf coffee beside me...My DN woke at 6.10am just after her mum and dad left for work!!! So we had some snuggles in our bed.
Well Iam now just past the 15 wk mark and am beginning to feel little flutters and ripples. I feel very uncomfortable ALREADY when I go to stand up from sitting down, alot of pressure and sometimes feel as if I am going to wet myself...but not IYKWIM!!!
I have read a few posts but need to go waaaay back and check out people's pics!
It sounds terrible but I CANNOT WAIT until sis & BIL house is finished and they move out so we can start to organise the rest of our house......bubbas room (where sis & BIL are sleeping at the moment), buying new furniture for our formal lounge and removing 99% of my wardrobe into the spare room for one day (way in the future) when I may be able to get back into it!!!!!!!!!!! My section of the WIR is going to look very sparse compared to normal...when it is jam packed!
As my career is Early childhood there are 4 huge boxes of childrens books out in the garage and storage boxes in the study with play equipment in them.
I have lots of ideas for bubbas room and cannot wait for the 8th Oct when we find out if its boy or girl (much, much much tooo looooong to wait!!!!!!) Although Iam fairly anal and always have a picture in my mind of how I want things to look and then get disappointed when it doesnt turn out exactly right:no:.
Noahs Mum: Congrats on your little girl
Well must go, sorry for the blah blah blah. Will post more personals later.
Just wanted to say Congrats to NM for your little girl....Yey another Girl, hopefully we are balancing the ratio, we were getting very boy heavy there for a while.
Good Luck today Jojo.......I will wait in suspense:fingerscrossed:!
AFM -Feeling very large at the moment and can not sleep at night, Just keep tossing and turning all night....its driving me bananas :hair: but I guess a sign of things to come.....having been there before....Well only 7 weeks till my C-section , I have an OB appointment on Wednesday so will get to see my little princess again....and today the hospital I am going to opens today, I am going to the new Norwest Private, it looks so flash. I am now on Fortnightly visit to the OB....then soon it will be weekly...arrrgaaahhh!
:smiliedance:Jojo....Yay its your scan today i hope you get a lovely suprise:D
Hi Heather....Awww Tyler looks so cute, time seems to be slowing down we want them now hehe.
Hi NM.....Awww i bet you are eating my share of the choc :laughing:i think its due to a girl pregnancy.
Wow $41 for a bassinette thats very cheap, yeh it will come in handy for someone else.Im keeping my stuff for my DD coz i reckon come next yr she will be pregnant.
How was everyones fathers day?
Well we just relaxed at home had my DD and her hubby come ova so i cooked something nice.
Her hubby just left for the first time overseas to some island and wont be back for a month:no:its going to be so lonely for my DD and she is also stuck at her inlaws house. For a newly wed a month is so long.I know i wouldnt let my DH go away, money isnt everything i reckon.
Well im off to see the diabettes clinic today dont know what to expect.
Dearmum - Goodluck with ur appointment at the diabetics clinic. I hope that it all goes well for u. Good on u for not having sugar...i agree with Maorimama - It does get easier and u will get used to it.
I agree that its so hard for a newly married couple to be seperated like that. Maybe ur DD could have joined her hubby overseas...that would ahve been a nice break for her too.
JCR - My goodness...7 weeks and ur bubs will be in ur arms...how exciting. Time is going to fly. Its exciting.
NM - Great deal on the bassinet...good on u hun.
Heather - Aaaww...how cute tyler looks. How was ur 3D scan experience?
Jojo - Can't wait to hear what ur peaches are going to be. I truely hope its one of each. :goodvibes:
Ibb - Sorry to hear about ur car incident. Atleast the tradies were around. Hope the brace helps you relieve the pain. Take it easy hun.
Maorimama - I think a break would be nice, like a weekend away but yeah i don't think being in the car for too long will be very pleasant.
I was telling DH that i wanted to go away somewhere in Mid Oct for a weekend...we were thinking port macquarie...but it'll be atleast a 4/5 hour drive and the issue is if i will be able to sit that long in the car.
my3boys - How are u going hun? How many weeks left for u??
Nicstar - I hope OCt comes fast for you...i can only imagine how impatient u must be feeling...Enjoy ur pregnancy though...
AFM - Had a lovely weekend...Saturday we went looking at prams and some cots...we've decided on the pram and will not be changing our mind anymore. We also checked out some cots...we've decided we'll go for White...yup i think it looks more angelic.
Fathers day...cleaned the house, cooked dinner as had called my parents over for dinner...so had a nice family dinner at home.
I had a tough time getting out of bed...was feeling fairly exhausted after cleaning and cooking yesterday...so am a bit tired...but feeling great.
DH felt bubbas move for the fisrt time yesterday morning at 22wks5days. :smiliedance:
He would have felt them sooner but he kept getting impatient when i told him to put his hand on my belly.
But he enjoyed it
he tried again last night but the bubba just wuldn't budge...they moved when he moved his hand away. :raspberry:
Ibb: What an awful Friday you had :hugs:. Glad to hear that bubba is OK, but sorry about the pain that you are in. So glad to see that chivalry is not dead and that a couple of good Samaritans came to your aide when your car got stuck. I hope you had a better weekend and are all recovered from your nightmare Friday. How’re things with your dad? Hopefully he is starting to recover and get back some of his short term memory.
Dearmum: I am down to 3 weekly visits. I think after the next visit I will be down to 2 weeks…Your DD is gorgeous. She has beautiful dark hair just like you! Let us know how things go at the diabetes clinic.
Moarimama: When do you move back to sunny QLD? I hope you were able to come up with an alternative to your little road trip for the weekend.
Heather: Awww what a cutie Tyler is. Its amazing how much detail you can see on those scans. Hmmm maybe I am wrong but he looks like he has hair in some of the piccies :D
NM: What a bargain to pay $41 for a bassinette! They usually retail for $200 to $300 or more!!! Hehehehe Sounds like your DH is excited about having a daddy’s little girl
Jojo: YAY for seeing bubbas today :smiliedance:. Can’t wait for you to report back on how things are going and what you are having.
Nicstar: Wonderful to hear from you. Are you 15 weeks already?? MY time sure does fly. I hope your headaches subside and that you are getting over your shocking cold. I can totally understand why you would want your sis and BIL house to be finished ASAP and to have your house to yourselves again.
JCR: OMG! Only 7 weeks to go!!!! Can’t believe it is so close! How exciting to be birthing at a new private hospital.
Bubbs: Glad to hear that your DH was able to feel bubbas move for the first time. It is so special and wonderful when our DH’s can feel them moving about. LOL about bubba moving when your DH’s hand moved away. It must be a baby thing as my one does the exact same thing all the time!!
AFM: 9 more weeks to go before the big day. Leon has been moving about this morning. It feels like he planted his feet up above my belly button as I had a hard little lump there.....funny how the little ones move when you rub the area that they are pushing up against. Its like they can feel your touch, even though they are cushioned by all that amniotic fluid.
Looks like everyone had a fairly quiet weekend, so did I DS had a great party on Saturday, Sunday I went and seen the dads, then went to bed... I have tried to get into the doc and can't get in till tomorrow, I will wait and see how I go.. I now have no voice at all a bad cough and when I lay down I feel like a can't breath, so doing well.. My poor belly seems like it is going to explode..
NM, Congratulations on having a little GIRL!!
DM, give your DD a big cuddle, my DH went away for 3 months and I hated every day of it.
bubbs, take it easy today, cooking for extras really seems to take it out of you.
JCR, 7 weeks, wow you will only be a few days behind me you could still go before me!!
Heather, the pics are so cute..
jojo, I hope that you get to see what you are having, boys are still in the lead!!
Nic, I bet you can't wait to have you house back, I don' think I would really like having any exras staying here at the moment.. BUT it's hard with family to say no..
Well better shower..
Have a great day ladies
Nic - YAY movement that's fantastic! How long until your sis and BIL move out, i bet you can't wait so you can get orgainised
JCR - How exciting only 7 more weeks until you get to meet your little princess
DM - PMSL must be the extra hormones! It sure does, i went through DS clothes aww it brought back memories of how little he was, i am going to sell it all on ebay soon i have no one to pass it all down too.. Good luck for your appt today
Bubbs - That's great DH has been able to feel bubs moving around, it must have been so exciting for him.
My3 - I am so excited with my purchase i just picked it up. DH is sooo excited he is already saying daddy's little princess.. OMG i can't believe you only have 9 more weeks to go how exciting
Kimmy - You poor thing, i hope your feeling better soon
Just got a text message from Meliko
No triplet delivery news yet but thought all would like to know that i've started contracting, they're trying to hold it all off, will be in hospital till their birth so no more posting for me for awhile. They are all 3p and 28wks today.
I told her that we are all thinking of her. If anyone wants me to pass on any messages just let me know, i will keep everyone updated when i receive more news
NM Great deal on the bassinette. Please pass my best wishes to Meliko. Fingers crossed they can keep them in a little longer.
Not much from me. I am in so much pain. Had my 1st physio session and can really feel it now. Have another Thursday and she won't promise i'm not going to end up on crutches for a few days to relieve the pressure of the pelvic bone. I'm going to do the exercises she gave me but for now, no shopping, lifting, pushing, long walks or being on my feet so pretty much to and from work and than rest at home is the order.
NM, please wish her well, hope she can keep them in for a few more weeks...
Thinking of you Meliko:hugs::hugs:
Meliko - :hugs: I wish u all the best hun with ur boys...hope they can do their best to keep them in there for a while longer...thinking of u. :fingerscrossed:
ok ladies .... what an eventful experience we had during our scan. We have one very shy baby ... and one extrovert ... it is hilarious so see such different personalities showing already.
Twin A - shy baby - is head down facing my spine and would not move - I was up and down, side to side, empty bladder .. but nope baby would not move ..
Twin B - also head down (YAY for natural birth as long as they both stay that way!) is borderline ADHD .. would NOT sit still .. funny baby .. arms and legs up down all over the place ..
So - I guess you want to know what they are hmmmmm ???
Ok, well as shy as Twin A is .... quite happy to announce to the world ...... I am a BOY !!! .... Twin B .... as wiggling as it is .... quite shy with the gender .. but we did FINALLY see .... GIRL
:smiliedance::smiliedance: We got one of each :smiliedance::smiliedance:
We couldn't be happier .. but now even more impatient than ever to meet our little peaches ....
Will go back and read the weekend and days events .. and do personals later .. got to pack my bags and head to Melbourne - AGAIN ... but home again on Wednesday ...
NM: Please let Meliko know that I am thinking of her and the boys. hopefully they can stop her contractions so that the boys can be given a little bit more time to grow. Sending her and family lots of :hugs:
jojo: OMG! Hw exciting to be expecting and pigeon pair :yelclap: :smiliedance: Congrats to you and DH!!!
ibb: Gosh I hope that the physio does end up helping you out. I can't imagine how much pain you are in. :fingerscrossed: that you don't end up needing crutches and that the exercises do the trick!
Ibb your symptoms sound very much like what I have been experiencing over the past months, but my DR is convinced it's just 'normal' I did read a thread on SPD in the pregnancy health issues and I am sure this is what I have ,....now just to find a physio who can deal with it. Some days I can hardly move and others it's just a constant light ache. I sure hope you can get some relief from having physio done as I have read that some women can end up wheelchair bound.
Jojo :smiliedance:, congratulations hon on your BOY and GIRL....great news. Now you can start preparing for their arrival.
NM what a great score on the bassinet....and having someone to pass it onto makes it more worthwhile. When we had our children there were so many of us that could share the BIG things between us and it helped immensely. The bassinet I used for my older 4 was actually one that mum had for me and my 5 siblings so it meant alot.
Can you please let Meliko know that I am thinking of her :hugs:.
Bubbs it's not only the sitting for so long that would do it for me it's all the loo stops along the way....I swear I am going every 20-30mins. Very weak bladder here.
Heather gorgeous pics of baby Tyler.
Well we ended up just having a very lax father's day yesterday hanging out with the kids. DS7 made DH brekky all by himself and he was so chuffed about it. DH had nutella on toast and a luke warm coffee made with tap water . He was such a good sport about it though and him and DS dug into the toast. I asked him later what it was like and he said hospital food . Gotta love the effort though.
Jojo - Congratulations hun..>One of each. I bet u're so thrilled...
Sounds like ur activ bubba is having a ball in there.
Glad to hear that all is well.
Maorimama - how sweet of ur DS7 to treat ur DH for a nice home made breakfast all by himself. What a sweety.
Atleast ur DH was a good sport. Good on him.
my3boys - 9 more weeks for u...yay. i bet u can't wait.
I bet u're looking forward to finishing work too...i have 5 weeks of work left from this week. WOOHOO :yelclap: :smiliedance:
Kimmy - Sorry to hear u have this nasty cough...its not fair. Seems like u've been suffering this for some time now...take it easy hun. Hope u start feeling better soon and get that voice back.
oh wishing meliko all the best for the contractions stopping and her boys staying put a few more weeks.
my3boyz i am not sure if it is hair or not, could just be the fluid around him??? i asked the sonographer and she said it is too hard to tell.
9 more weeks yay not long til litlle leon arrives.
jojo congratulations on your little girl and little boy.
have fun in melbourne, i am guessing u have to travel for work.
maorimama how nice of your ds to go to the effort for his dad. pitty it wasnt as enjoyable as dh would have liked but it is the thought that counts. hope u and bubba are well.
ibb sorry to hear of all your pain, i cannot imagine what you are feeling right now. i hope it improves soon.
kimmy sorry to hear of the horrible cough and the lost voice.
hope the dr can fix you, bob the builder can we fix it? bob the builder yes we can haha.
nicstar sorry to hear of your headaches, i get them from time to time but they dont sound as bad as yours.
glad to hear you are over your cold.
oh u still have a bit of a wait to find out bubbas sex, i bet you are hanging out for it.
bubbs yay for dh feeling bubbas moving.
nice to hear you have picked out your pram.
as for my 3d experience it was bloody uncomfortable!! i had to lay on my left side with a cushion under my bum so the sonographer could get the right postion.
dearmum best wishes for your appt with the diabetes clinic today.
i have my glucose test at 8am tomorrow yay 2 boring hours for me. atleast dh will be with me to be bored also as it is his day off haha. the hospital actually rang me today about it as a midwife booked me into have it done saturday after i had already told her not to make the appt i would make it myself. so i had to change it due to having the scan already booked for saturday. dont you love when people dont listen!
jcr best wishes for your ob appt on wednesday. oh tell me about the sleeping. i had the worst nite last nite. just couldnt sleep for some reason. i tossed and turned most of the nite as i was wide awake. i ended up putting on the tv in the bedroom and putting the sleep timer on. i finally did fall asleep.
oh well guess there will be less sleep once tyler arrives.
noahsmum that new avatar of noah is cute.
have fun with your shopping addiction. we bought tyler an adidas tracksuit and a pair of nikes yesterday they are so cute.
hello to everybody else, hope u are all well.
afm my belly button hurts today, guess i grew last nite haha.
as mentioned above i had sleeping trouble last nite.
leg cramps have started again as i forgot to get the tonic water in the shopping last week, thankfully it is shopping day tomorrow.
also as mentioned above glucose test is tomorrow, another 2hours of boredom.
on sat nite we caught up with our best friends(husband and wife) and they gave me back our baby bath filled with a load of baby stuff for us. they had a baby last december so borrowed the baby bath we had as the one they bought wasnt good to bath the baby in(ours is older and deeper.)
Girls i will pass on your messages
Jojo - Congratulations one of each how very exciting, i'm so excited and happy for you
Firstly....NM babe can you please tell Meliko im worried about her and her bubbs and im praying everything will work out.
:smiliedance:Woohoo Jojo....A big congrats on completing your family:Done of each i bet hubby is happy.
Hi Bubbs.....Awww yeh i told my DD the same thing when he first got offered the job,i told her to go and live with him but this island has nothing no shops even. All the guys share rooms. She has been txting me today saying she cnt cope without him and she doesnt care about the money she just wants him ect, gosh its going to be one long month for her my poor baby. Now tell me what pram did you decide on?
Hi JCR....Aww not long for you now,hmm how was the hospital?
Hi Nicstar.....15 weeks your doing great.
Hi My3boys....9 weeks to go,yeh we all need to go away for a month so time goes quicker for us i have just under 7 weeks whoohoo.
Hi Kimmy....:laughing:you cant talk, gosh that must be hard.Pretend you cant hear also that way everyone can do there own cooking and cleaning hehe.
Hi IBB....Babe your really having a bad time lately hey this is for you:hugs:
Hi Maorimama....Awww your DS is a cutie, haha cold coffee yuck my hubby would have pretended to drink it,he is the fussy type LOL
Well ladies i went to the diabetes clinic and had to be there 2hrs (boring) anyway is was all about them telling me to stay clear of sugar and carbs shoot all the good things basically.I also have to monitor my blood levels at home,so i have this meter that pricks my finger and reads the levels:rolleyes:so i need to prick my finger 3 x a week, and 3 x a day.Anyway i came home and thought gee what can i eat everything is carb.I will be so glad when my 6 weeks are up.Still craving chocolate bad and im feeling misserable without sugar.
Awww i just caved:laughing::no:i couldnt resist and i bought a bag of freddos:oand ate 7:eek:gawd i hope to be good from tommorro onwards.
Girls i have just sent a message to Meliko with all your messages!
DM - PMSL freddo's!
I'm starting to feel very huge now boooo so trying not to eat chocolate now yep you heard right i went shopping and didn't buy any hopefully i can do one week without chocolate.. It can be my way of helping DM get through the next 6wks without chocolate!
Dearmum - Oh dear...7 freddo's?? U could have just had one?? :shame: :shame: naughty naughty.
Well try to keep that sugar level down hun...its for ur and ur bubs own good. It must be really tough...i can only imagine how hard it would be but just think few more weeks and then thats it.
Heather - Thats sweet of ur bestfriends to give you back ur bath with goodies inside them. Very sweet.
NM - Yeah I am trying to stay off chocolate myself...but it is hard...so i totally hear Dearmum's pain.
NM: please give Meliko my love and although we dont wish a long hospital stay on anyone...normally, lets hope those 3 boys stay put for a little while longer:flowerz:
Jojo: Congrats on your pigeon pair...double the fun when shopping!!!!!!!!
Hope you pack some warm clothes as it is cold cold cold and :gloomy:wet wet wet here in Melb!!!!
Well after reading the posts I think im still sicker than what I thought...as I'm not really fussed about chocolate still:laughing: (hopefully I'll be catching up soon!!!!)
Sis & BIL house should be ready mid-late Oct. The tiles have been laid and the electrician was there yesterday installing lights. They did have their bathroom vanity and basin STOLEN and still is being rebuilt (the dirty things some people do!!!!!) They are lucky to be living with us as we will only be a rough 5 min drive away from ech other so they can do drive-bys and check whats happening!!!!
Well yesterday I had on a pair of pants that have an elastic band and were feeling a little tight whether I had them up higher or down low(not maternity pants) and at lunchtime I did something really bad...I put my pyjama pants back on and felt SOOO much better.
Last Mon when we went to the OB she said my uterus was up just above my belly button and I have got a little rounded pot happening. She put a doppler on and bubba's heart is beating away at a steady 159 BPM.
DM: I can feel your pain. I haven't been able to eat chocolate for a long time as it makes me :barf: I am waiting till bubba comes and then treating myself to a whole bunch of things like biscuits, chocolate, cakes etc that i haven't been able to eat this pregnancy. Oh well the good thing is that I have been eating heaps of fruit. Try to be a good girl from now on and stay away from your choccies :D
maorimama: Your DS sounds like a little sweetie and how nice of your DH to be such a good sport to have everything...LOL about the coffee made from tap water....
heather: How nice of your friends to give back your baby bath with gifts inside it. Have fun at your GT. How many have you had to do by now?
Nicstar: I have heard of builders chaining down things like ovens and cooktops etc as people just steal them from building sites. Its horrid what some people do  Bubba sounds like it is doing well with a good heartbeat as well. Oh you should buy the mat pants that have a thick elastic banded waist. They are the most comfortable pair of pants that i have at the moment  they did cost a little more, but well worth the money that I spent on them.
Bubbs: I have roughly 5 weeks left of work as well. i was going to stop work on the 16th Oct but I think I might stop the week before now. Just depends on how I am feeling come October and also if I get all my reports out on time as well. hmmm just realised that October is only a few weeks away!!! time sure is flying by at the moment....
NM: Thanks for passing on our well wishes to Meliko. Hopefully bubbas can stay put for a little longer. She has done really well to get them this far and to a good size for their gestation as well :yelclap: How's Noah these days? Did you DH like the gift that Noah made for him at day care?
jojo: Are you still on :cloud9:?? Have fun pink and blue shopping you lucky duck!
kimmy: Hopefully you get over your cough real soon. Not long to go now for you either.
Ladies, looks like the count down is starting for a few of us. Its going be a really exciting few months as birth announcements start to come in!!!!!
AFM: Nothing to report at this end. 2.5 weeks will my next OB appointment. hmmm better start taking my raspberry leaf tablets next week. Hopefully they will help to tone up my uterus ready for the birht.
my3boys - I agree time surely is ticking till when we start hearing birth announcements...can't wait. It just means we're all inching closer to our expected due date too. :yelclap: :smiliedance:
Yeah i think it's a good idea to finish off a week earlier then what you had anticipated. I will still be finishing off on the 16th Oct and I think I'll be really glad to be doing that. I am having a tough time now commuting to and from work as i get really drained out tired.
Nicstar - Glad to hear ur bubba is doing well...how exciting.
I bet u can't wait till u have ur own space at home.
I can't wait till my inlaws move out too...but that won't be happening till Jan/Feb next year...but atleast its something to look forward to. :yelclap:
Its so quiet in here...
Ok im going to be good today :yes:no sugar for me!
Although i need to make pineapple tarts thats going to be hard not to test.I have my DD coming over today to help make them coz our fasting month is almost over and we make heaps of treats and celebrate the end of it (islam).Tommorro im cooking peanut cookies another hard one to stay away from.
Hi My3boys.....:smiliedance:Gosh you have put me in a good mood today i like hearing its a short countdown for most of us.Im thinking Meliko will go first.Gawd i need to get serious about name choosing.
Hi Nicstar....haha dont ya just love being pregnant,it makes you stay in your PJs longer hehe.I was wearing matternity pants by 6 weeks:p
Hi NM.....:hugs:Aww your so sweet thinking about me,look if you want chocolate have it coz maybe your baby girl wants it.I had my first 4 months turned off chocolate and i reckon thats from the boy and now my girl wants her turn to eat what she wants.I miss cakes badly aswell im craving a vanilla slice hehe.
Hi Bubbs....Babe did you buy your pram the other day? how did you go finding disney items?
I had a disney theme for my last girl but that was 12yrs ago yeh i dont see much around anymore.Keep looking though coz disney is really cute i love mickey.
Howdy to the rest of our ladies!!
Guys just wondering if you have ambulance cover? i dont have private health but yrs ago you use to be able to join up ambulance cover from St Johns but now it has to be through HBF and i have read there is so many factors like if its a emergency like death then your covered but if you want cover for normal then its a extra pollicy:confused:well im thinking because i have my cervix stitched what happens if my hubby isnt around when i go into labour? im normally very fast at giving birth my last baby came in a hour and if you have a stitch still in it can wreck your cervix EEK.Maybe im just worring for nothing.Im going to ask the doc when are they taking it out next week.
Meliko - Im reading your text updates :fingerscrossed: I will be thinking about you.
Dearmum - wow your really getting close now.
Stay away from the sweet stuff  its bad for you!!
I hope you havnt been fasting all this time. I was pretty sure it didnt apply if you are pregnant.
I would love your peanut butter cookie recipe Yumo can you send it to me :) I will eat them for you  you know take one for the team and all that.
Hello to all the other ladies  its really starting to get exciting now!
Dearmum - No we didn't end up buying the pram but have decided on the Maclaren Twin Techno pram/stroller.
My DH's colleague had twins last year and he really recommended the Maclaren to us. We were tossing between the peg perego/Valco ION & Maclaren...Maclaren was stronger according to DH.
Anyway i've been told to stop looking at prams now as we've decided. STill feel like getting the Peg though. Oh well the decisions made.
No i didn't find anything on Disney but a lady contacted me through bubhub and shes based in NY and said that shes more then happy to ship them over to me if i want.
She's sent me links of a few mickey room decoration ideas and they were adorable.
I am still very surprised that they don't have that here...I haven't seen them anywhere.
But yes thought it was very generous of her.
Dearmum I hope u haven't been fasting for ramadan?? but hope its going well for ur family. I know u have ur EID celebrations coming up soon...so what are u planning to do for EID???
Mrs Mermaid - How are u doing? how many weeks are u now?
Must be so happy to get this far...All the best hun.
Bubbs - Im 14 weeks and 4 days :D Im thrilled and feeling more and more confident every day.
I have a little listen to bubs on the home doppler each morning and that seems to give me my fix
Im finding it hard to sleep and am tired all the time but in reality thats the only issue Im having so Im very lucky. Also Im able to nap most days so super lucky! No real morning sickness. Actually this pregnancy has made me understand why some woman dont even realise they are pregnant.
Im feeling the first signs of movement. Just little bubble type feelings which is lovely.
My morph/gender scan is in a little over 3 weeks woo hoo! Im so excited to find out. I really dont mind which Im just looking forward to giving our little one an identity even if it is just boy or girl.
Morning ladies (sniff)
Well I'm off to the doc today (sniff) I'm so sore from caughing, i'm chesty and feeling not so well (sniff) Dylan doesn't seem as active, (sniff) and i'm worried and want him checked out.
DM- How are you going to survive without sugar:thumbsdown: I just couldn't do it, it is what has got me through all this..
Meliko- Thinking of you honey, keep those legs crossed for a little longer.
my3boyz- no not long now, it's funny this flu has got me all worried about things that can happen again..
bubbs- not long till you finish work, 6 days after I go to have my little Dylan.
Hi to you other ladies, but I better shower before doc (sniff)
bubbs - I'm trying to but just realised i'm sitting here eating a chocolate...
Nic - Meliko is in hosiptal now until she gives birth! Hun i tend to stay in Pj pants as well most of the day if i am at home, they are sooo comfortable.. At least you don't have your sister with you for much longer
My3 - Noah is good i finally get rid of his bad teething rash under his chin and it comes back it's red and really sore for him, i just wish his eye teeth would hurry up and come down further.. Yeah DH loved the pressies Noah made him at preschool
DM - Hmm i'm not sure on the ambo cover i have health insurance but it doesn't cover ambo...
text message response from meliko
Still having contractions but slowing down allot, all being well should be in hospital for a few weeks and try to hold of delivery day until week 31. dearmum your a darling. Thank you everyone for your thoughts
i just got a call from my sis in law who is organising my baby shower the ppl they are inviting want to get me a personal gift for teh baby shower worth around $120 to $150 but I have been asked what I would like. I havent' got a clue actually...any ideas???
They're thinking of giving me a massage or facial voucher...but my sis in law is saying why not get a gift pack from Body Shop...but I don't know how keen i would be for the body shop gift pack...
Any suggestions ladies..make my life easier.
Girls my baby brain is getting really bad the things i am saying are cracking my friends up! Today i walked up to the shop to get some meat and bread. Bread shop closed due to the storm last night. We had a really bad storm alot of rain, hail, thunder and we think our house was struck by lighting we were the only ones without power last night all our neighbours had it. Anyways i bought my meat put my prescription in then went to IGA only to find the registers and eftpos were down. I had to walk down to the ATM to get some cash out by the time i got back they gave me my grocerys for free! Anyways i started walking home only to find i forgot my prescription so had to walk back to pick it up... Gesshhh
bubbs - How about a gift voucher for a massage for after you have the babies, DH got me one for my birthday and i had a massage done when DS was about 5mths old it was the best and so relaxing a little bit of me time
Its real chatty today:D
Hi Mrs Mermaid.....Babe i dont need a mum i have you :laughing:nah your really such a caring person i love it:hugs:
No i havent been fasting us pregnant ladies we have a excuse not to fast so thats good. The rest of the family have been and are doing so well.
Your really cruising along now hey,you sound so relaxed.Yeh i cant wait to hear if its a boy or girl bring on 3 weeks.Have you been out baby spending yet?gosh there is so many cute things out there you just need a full pocket of money. Are you wearing maturnity clothes now?
Hi NM....haha sounds just like me yesterday while at the diabetes clinic they give me a script for extra stips anyway i just walked out and left it there and realised 20 mins later while driving down the freeway:laughing:i blame the no sugar!
so your eating choc now, hmmm what flavour? i can smell it from here hehe.
Hi bubbs....hehe back again, yeh we have EID in less than 2 weeks,on that last night everyone is cooking up a storm and we normally just visit all our friends and eat like crazy, they come to our house on the weekend so i like to get everyone over at once. With my kids on the morning of EID its like xmas i wrap up presents and give it to them or give them money,my hubby takes a couple days of work so we can visit everyone.I wear traditional malaysian clothes and so does the whole family, its just a good time of the year for all islam people.
Babe have you tried looking on the net for the disney stuff? its good to know you have a lady that can send you some things though, when will you be starting with your nursery?
Hmmm as for the personal gift well how about a voucher to have your hair done it makes you feel so much better after a new cut & colour.
Hi Kimmy.....:hugs:Aww you sound worried about Dylan im sure he is fine but get checked that way you can relax.Yeh how am i suppose to cope with stress without my chocolate?
Dearmum - No I haven't started on the nursery yet but i am also keen on the snug a bug theme...have u seen samples of those. They are just Soooooo adorable and cute.
Am thinking if i should save myself all the hassle in the world and stick to snug a bug theme...am in love with it. Such a kid at heart I am still. :p'
U asked me about Pram earlier as well..>DH and I have settled on the Maclaren Twin Techno.
We haven't bought it yet but hoping to strike a good deal in the next coming weeks...or maybe waiting for a sale to come up so we can purchase it.
And yes I know a fair bit about EID myself...I went to school with alot of muslim girls and plus my dads best friend is a muslim too...so have a fair bit of knowledge in terms of islam.
NM glad to hear that Meliko and bubs are doing well...thank you for keeping us updated on her.
My3boyz...we move back to QLD in Jan and I really can't wait now....am so jealous of all the lovely weather they have been having. Wow you are in the final weeks :yelclap: how exciting.
Dearmum :shame: you are so naughty....try not to think about not being allowed sugar and carbs, it will only make you want it more. Gee I hope I don't have the same problem when my GD test is due :D.
Bubbs I would definitely be going for a massage or facial when your bubs' are a bit older...you really will appreciate the "ME" time and what better way to relax and be pampered.
Kimmy hope you are feeling better soon hon :hugs:, you've had a dreadful time of the flu in the past few months.
Well ladies I am 25wks this week....it's going so fast now :smiliedance:.
good evening lovely ladies
well - so much to catch up on, so here goes ..
nm - please pass on my thoughts and best wishes to Meliko ... I hope she is relaxed and comfortable and her contractions are under control ... please send her BIG :hugs: from me
MM - :yelclap: for 25 weeks .. and Qld can not wait to have you
dearmum - hon did you know you can buy sugarfree chocolate ??? and it even tastes nice !! the brand is well naturally (or naturally well) and you can buy it from most chemists ... there is quite a range of sugar free choccies and snacks .. i like the milk choc with hazelnuts mmmmmm
bubbs - good on you for settling on your pram .. we think we might go the valco .. but then again we change our mind every week
kimmy - sorry to hear you aren't well .. hope that Dr manages to sort you out .. take care sweet :hugs:
Mrs Mermaid - wow, 14 w4d already .. time is flying for you ... hope all is well with you and bubbs ..
heather - how did you go with your glucose test .. does the Tonic work for cramps ? I only read about that the other day and my leg cramps are slowly getting worse ...
Nicstar - yep, we have some serious shopping ahead of us ... hope all is well with you and bubba ... when is your next scan ... must be getting close ..
M3boy - you know it .. haven't dipped from :cloud9: yet ! You are getting seriously close to meeting that new bubba .... are you all organised ? getting excited or nervous or a combo of both ?
AFM .. Melbourne is Melbourne ... home tomorrow thank god ! want to go and do some shopping ... we start our classes next week ... think they go for 6 weeks ..looking forward to them .. starting to feel my babies more and more ... I am carrying really low .. and it seems there is constant pressure on my bladder .. can't imagine that it will get any better from this point on ...
hope you are all well ... to anyone else I have missed ..
Meliko....Babe hope to get some good news from you soon:hugs:
Hi Bubbs....:yes:Yep i have seen the snug a bug and yes its so cute also,i think it would be alot easier on you coz most baby shops stock it.Let the fun begin:D
Hi Jojo.....Bet your finding it hard to stay away from the baby sections, once you start you cant stop hehe.Oh did you say theres chocolate without sugar and it still tastes nice:smiliedance:ok im off looking for some tommorro. If i had that it would take away my cravings.Babe please have your cervix checked ok coz i wouldnt want anything to happen.
DM - PMSL i had a crunch... I am seriously going to try and stay away from chocolate otherwise i am going to be the size of a house! At least i am not the only one with baby brain
jojo - I want to see some belly photo's
Not much happening here we have DH's grandmothers funeral today, won't be around until this afternoon if i get a chance. I hope everyone has a great day
NM - Thats a gorgeous profile pic of Noah...how sweet. He looks adorable.
Thanks for passing all our messages to meliko. Hope shes doing ok. "Hold it in babe"
dearmum - Ohhhhh...thats something for u to look into now...sugar free chocolate...
I reckon on my fridays appointment, i'll be getting a referral for the GD test too...not looking forward to it actually. :(
Jojo - We did set our mind on Valco ourselves but when we went to babies galore the clearance centre...they talked us out of Valco as it was in the "lower" range of brands. We were going for the Valco ION (the egg shaped one) but now we've just made up our mind on Maclaren....well DH has but i still feel like the Peg Perego.
I'll make my final decisiion when i go to the baby show next week and trial out both these prams there on different environments (sand, rough surface etc...)
U must be glad to be back home today??
Maorimama - Yup I've asked for a massage voucher so that should be good...am already looking forward to it actually. :p I know it'll be much needed.
AFM - Doing well. Was feeling a little down the past couple of days...just not feeling myself and feeling low...must be the hormones.
Still feeling kinda same today...but hopefully i snap out of it real soon.
Both bubba's are kicking away...its such a beautiful feeling...yestserday my left bubba spent most of the day sleeping and right one was very activ...today they both are moving equally...
We will be checking out some more baby stores over the weekend..I think i've made up my mind about decorating my babies room in snug a bug theme...its just adorable. :bee:
I get so clucky.
is anyone else up to anything interesting or exciting?? am bored with life.
I think another reason am feeling really down is DH adn I wanted to go away but we both feel that at 29 or 30 weeks it'll be too late and unfortunately we won't be able to go then...we wanted to fly up to one of the islands up north...but now it seems like that won't be happening...we can't go now as DH's work committments and my work will interfere with it...i really wanted a holiday before the bubs came on board. and wanted to fly...rather then drive up somewhere but lets see..maybe we might ahve to resort to driving somewhere closer to home.
Morning Ladies:wave: (sniff)
I think I feel a little better today:yes: I'm popping all the safe drugs that doc gave me, but if I don't take them this time I just will keep getting sick.. I even changed my bed!! just have to hang sheets out now:o
bubbs- I hope that you pick up a little soon honey:hugs: that snug as a bug theme is just lovely, I looked at that myself..
DM- did you get your cooking done?? I'm thinking piklets today smothered in butter, yummy..
jojo- Yep doc sorted me out, just have to wait for it all to work.. What are you shopping for today?? I loved having a day off work.
NM- my chocolate habbit seems to of faded, I went through 7 BIG bars in a fortnight and that seems to of helped me, now I just keep bottons in the pantry that way I just don't sit with a big bar. Hugs for the funeral.
Meliko- Thinking of you..
maorimama- Congrats on making 25 weeks.. I'm 32 tomorrow and that was my last mile stone, now time to enjoy the last few weeks.
my3boyz- How are you feeling?? you hanging in there like me??
I was thinking that we should get a list of due dates and start a baby lotto..
Meliko-Dearmum-me-my3boys but with my baby brain I can't think who else is due??
OK ladies going to hang sheets out now..
Back to cleaning!!
Kimmy - Am glad to hear that u are slowly on the mend...although it'll probably take time to get the sniff's fully out, atleast u're actioning it now.
Wow u're 32 weeks...thats awesum. AM looking forward to getting ur text when little bubba is born...can't wait. :yelclap:
Yes i agree...its now time for u to relax and take things easy...and enjoy ur final days as being pregnant.
Kimmy glad to hear you are feeling better. Wow 32wks already, another one in the home stretch.
Dearmum what Jojo said has triggered my mine, don't know why I didn't think of it before. My niece is diabetic and for parties we would always get her suger free lollies etc....would pay to check them out to curb your cravings.
Bubbs some days I feel out of sorts too...I think it's all the hormones. Would it be possible for you and DH to go away a bit earlier than you had planned? You might find that a bit of R&R before your boys arrive is just the pick-me-up you need.
Dearmum: Yes things are definitely getting exciting as a few of us are nearing our due dates or expected Csection dates/induction dates. Have fun eating your sugar free choccies. At least you can eat them without feeling guilty afterwards! LOL!
Mrs mermaid: How exciting to get to 14 + 4 weeks. I agree that those home dopplers are a real life saver when you are worried about bubba or it hasn’t moved much during the day. YAY on feeling movements as well!
NM: Hope Naoh’s eye teeth come through soon. Its no fun for bubbas when they are teething. Oh your DH’s grandmothers funeral is on today….I hope you guys are OK :hugs:
Kimmy: I hope you are feeling better today. I still have a sore back and get cramps in my legs….I had groin/pelvic pain yesterday for the first time….Oh well can’t complain when I know that Leon is growing happily in there. LOL about your due dates lotto. I think I will lose out in that one as I know that this bubba will probably last the whole distance of 40 weeks. Congrats on getting to 32 weeks. Its starting to get to exciting times now and I can’t wait to hear about the first arrivals :smiliedance:
Moarimama: Congrats on getting to 25 weeks. You are more than half way through. Moving from WA to QLD will be a big change. Hopefully things will go according to plan and you guys get up there all safe as sound. It will be a fresh beginning and you will have a new bubba by then as well!
Jojo: I am excited to see and meet bubba, but also a bit sad as well. This pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest but I am loving feeling bub move and getting stronger. Also our family dynamics will change with another addition, which makes me a little anxious as well as I don’t know how DS will react with a little bro…. I think I will get nervous about the birth when I only have 3 weeks left before EDD. No use getting nervous and worried about it until its almost time for labor, otherwise I will drive myself insane as i know what I am in for
Bubbs: :hugs: I completely understand you and DH wanting to go away on a mini break before the bubbas come. DH and I are planning a spur of the moment trip for one weekend in September or early Oct. We will be driving, but need a destination either north coast or south coast. I just think that its important for us to go on a family mini break before bubba comes. It will be just some special time to ourselves as a family of 3. I hope you feel better soon.
For NSW ladies, do you gals have any suggestions on places to visit either north or south of Sydney? DH and I planning on a spur of the moment weekend away so we can spend time as a family of 3 before bubba comes along. We have been to Batemans Bay, Ulladulla and Canberra. Any other nice places that we can go to within driving distance?
My3Boyz - Terrigal and surrounds is nice and a short drive. The Blue Mountains (go to the Norman Lydnsay Gardens amazing). A houseboat holiday on the Hawkesbury would be lovely.
kimmy great to hear you are starting to feel better.
still cleaning i see haha(i cant talk).
dearmum it looks like i also have gd so healthy food for me too.
maoriamama congrats on making it to 25weeks only 15weeks to go.
jojo yes the tonic water works for my leg cramps anyway. apparantly it has to be the indian tonic water but that is readily available on shelves at the supermarket.
i didnt drink it for a week and my cramps started again but i started it last nite and didnt get any cramps.
bubbs sorry to hear of your sadness. i sometimes feel sad but it goes away i think it is due to our raging hormones.
noahsmum sorry to hear of your loss, hope the funeral is a nice one.(if there is such thing).
hello to everybody else.
afm i got a fone call from the hospital today to let me know that my glucose levels were slightly elevated in yesterdays test.
they are sending out a letter for an appt with the diabetic clinic. guess it is healthy food for me from now on. i do blame myself because i have been eating a lot of crap!! just hoping i dont have a big baby.
when i got the fone call i had eaten a marsbar like 10 mins before hand so i was thinking oh crap.
antenatal appt is next wed so i wonder what they have to say??? pretty sure the diabetic clinic wont be before next wednesdays appt.
does anyone know if you have gd if you have to have more scans to check how big the baby is growing? i had a growth scan a couple of weeks ago to check tyler wasnt growing small but i have heard they check to see if the baby isnt too big when u have gd.
Mrs Mermaid: Thanks so much. The blue Mountains is a good idea! :yelclap: I haven't been there for a while and DS has never been there before. I think I might check out accomodation for there and see what DH says about the idea. Thanks again!
heather: Sorry your levels are a bit elevated. Nt sure if they do more scans if you have GD, but you are right in that they are worried about you having a big bubba. Hopefully all goes well with the diabetic clinic. Did you do the 2 hour GTT? Or was it the quick 1 hour one?
2 hour test my3boyz.
my3boys - I was thinknig either Blue Mountains or nelson Bay...i want somewhere beachy actually with summer approaching too...but yes
I think Blue Mountains is a good idea if u haven't been there for a while.
I might decide for north coast i think.
Maorimama - I want to go away when my inlaws go on their overseas trip...which is in mid oct. I don't want to go before then simply because our weekends are busy from now onwards till they are gone...and plus i rather go when they are gone so we are not inclined to take them with us...DH will make a fuss that they are missing out...so atleast this way we get some peaceful quiet time alone hassle free.
PS: I live in a joint family so its really hard to go places on our own...
Heather - Sorry to hear about GD...But i hope you can keep it controlled. At what week did u have this test???
Mrs Mermaid - I like the houseboat idea too but dunno if the motion sickness would get to me with being heavily pregnant when we decide to go...i'll probably be about 30 weeks pregnant with twins so uc an imagine...MASSIVE.
AFM - I have been hearing some issues about this baby shower that is being organised..."surprise" baby shower and its bothering me. I am hearing it from close sources but it is making me feel really negative towards the whole thing...i wish they hadn't kept it a surprise and ran past some things with me...my sis in law doesn't have a clue when it comes to organising parties - let alone a baby shower. Shes been getting information out of our common friends who are i feel taking advantage of the whole situation with a new person organisng it.
anyway am still not impressed with a few things that have gone past my ear...i can't say anything about it either as I am not supposed to know but its doing my head in now too. :hair:
I dunno...should i just step back and let them take the stress or should i try to get involved???
maybe its best to stay out of it...but i feel that its not fair...i feel i can get in there and get involved to have some peace around...?
Well I asked DH. He thinks that a warmer place by the sea will suit DS much more than Blue mountains. Oh well we can go there in the summer :D
heather: Oh the 2 hour test...guess that's why they are sending you to the diabetic clinic. Hope you just have to change diet and not do finger pricking like dearmum.
Quick one from me till I get home from work...
I have taken all these pics to upload, Nursery, DS new room and a belly shot and cant find the b****y cable to be able to upload to the computer so will have another look tonight and try to upload :(!
Well went to the OB this morning and it was the most boring appointment I have ever had, everything was fine including my BP (135/85) so was only in there for like 5 mins, head is down, tummy is measuring correctly, and OB confirmed C-Section date for the 3/11 and HB was nice and strong and that was it, see you in 3 weeks .
After the next appointment I will need to have more bloods to check my iron levels and a U/S to see how my placenta is looking and sitting.
My3boyz - Port Stephens is a great location, nice beaches and plenty of places to stay, my inlaws have a holiday house up there and DS loves it when we go there, lots of parks for them to play in.
Bubbs - Cheer Up :)! I think we all go through your feeling at the moment.
Heatherm- Bummer! I had that the first time with DS just over the boarderline, but I was controlled by diet and luckly no finger pricking.
Kimmy - Glad to hear you are feeling better and reached your last milestone 32 weeks :smiliedance:not long to go now.
Hi to everyone else....
its been a week or 2 since i was last on... ive still been resting:sleeping: alot and my m/s comes on and off:barf:
and on fri i found out i have gestational diabetes:crying: im 11 weeks this week!!!!!!!!!! its going to be a loooong pregnancy!! usually you may get it for the last 8-10 weeks.. but oh well.. i have to count my blessings and keep my eye on the prize!!!!
i had a scan yesterday 11wk 1 day.. and i was amazed... peanut was flipping around and waving its arms and legs!!! soooo exciting!!! i have more scans cos of the bleeding etc... so my 12 wk scan is coming up on the 21st.. ill be 13wks.. so excited to see peanut in 4d!!! i have a fantastic pic where peanut is looking straight at the camera!!! i'll try putting it on here...
alot of you are sop close now!! its so exciting... the nurserys are looking great!! id love to see bump pictures:D
im back in work tomorrow so i'll be able to chat more... hope your all well...
Bubbs - thanks he is such a little monkey lately.. I hope your feeling better soon huni!
Kimmy - YAY 32wks that's awesome, not long to go now
My3 - Why don't you try up the central coast Terrigal is really nice, Gosford, Umina. Hussikan is quite nice
Heather - Sorry to hear your levels are elevated i'm not to sure, my levels were on the higher side but i didn't have GD
Bugger got to go Noah is calling be back later
My3boyz it will be lovely to get away with your son before baby arrives...happy planning .
Sarbear gee that is really early to get GD...but at least now you know you can be well monitored and cared for.
Heather I'm not soo sure what the policy is here in Oz but in Nz they do tend to do a few growth scans if you develop GD. Dearmum may know more about that as she has just been diagnosed with it.
Bubbs I totally get where you are coming from. We had my IL's living with us for 3yrs and it made it very hard to do things without them....they wanted to be included in everything. As for the baby shower....if it were me I would probably step right back and let others deal with the issues/dramas....everything will come together on the day and you don't need the stress atm. It is easier said than done...I know as I can be a bit of a control freak at times but I have learnt to just let things be over the years.
Well didnt get my tarts done yesterday coz me and my DD just went out for lunch and talked and talked and talked she broke down so many times crying coz she misses her DH badly, then i felt like crying coz i know how she feels coz my hubby use to live in Singapore and he had to leave me.Its only been 3 days for her how is she going to cope with 1 month. So yeh iv been feeling very drained having my DD problems and my sons problems.
Hi Heather:hugs:Awww another one getting diabetes, babe they told me having diabetes and being a IVF pregnancy im under high risk so they will be monitoring the babies more at the moment its fortnighty scans.Im at border line so .1% over what is normal,i was told to buy the meter monitor and 3 x a week prick my finger and test the level and after 1 week come back to see if this no sugar less carb diet has helped.I hope yours can be controled through diet.
Hi Sarbear....:hugs:Babe just remember GD goes away after birth so,keep positive just stay away from sweets :Dif you can.
Hi Bubbs....Hun let them handle all the stress, after all its suppose to be your suprise baby shower.Things dont need to go perfect and once everyone comes you will relax so dont worry ok.
Hi JCR....Yay cant wait to see your pics.
Sorry gota cut it short feeling very sleepy really stuggling to keep my eyes open.
Oh anyone heard from Meliko?
JCR - I can't wait to see the photo's of your nursery. 3 November is my friends birthday how exciting you have your date set and ready to go
sarbear - Sorry to hear about your GD
DM - You poor thing I hope things get easier for your DD and DS make sure you get some extra rest.
Meliko won't be doing any posting for awhile as i mentioned in her first text she will be in hospital until she gives birth. I am more then happy to send text messages to her for you girls. And i will keep you all updated when i get texts from her
AFM - The funeral went as good as can be. I am off shopping today was suppose to be me, DS and grandma now grandad is coming he can be very annoying when it comes to shopping! Oh well... We are 99% sure it's going to be Layla Peace... I do have a few other names i love to Ava, Isabella and Charlotte.. I would love to have Isabella it is my absolute fav but because i have a long last name i don't think a long first name would be appropriate.
On another note my pregnancy brain is soooo bad it's not funny everyday more then once a day i am coming out with weird or other things, i'm even rubbing off onto my friends
Maorimama - Thanks for ur advice hun. I think that it is the best thing to do - step back and let it all unfold on the day for me...but issues is more so within family so it does kinda affect me as well...anyway am sure it'll all fall into palce when the time is right.
Its not easy living with inlaws at all...and its not even my parents in law - its my sis in law and her hubby.
Sarbear - Sorry to hear about GD. Not fair is it...but atleast u got it detected early and can now just look forward to a happy healthy pregnancy and a healthy cute little bubba. - thats the main thing.
JCR - How exciting...bet u can't wait till Nov...hoping that'll come fast for u.
Dearmum - Aawww Hun :hugs: So sorry that ur DD is missing her DH. Not easy. Can she come and stay with u for a while since her DH is overseas...it might just make it easier for her??
NM - I hear you about pregnancy brain...its ridiculous isn't it. Enjoy ur shopipng today...
My3boys - Decided on ur holiday destination yet...???? Let me know where u decide to go...?
AFM - Am doing ok...still trying to hear out this issue with the baby shower but its all falling into place...theres just some misunderstanding...as there always is when family is involved...and very high expectations...anyway am sure it'll sort itself out...
Doing ok otherwise...just not feeling the love around my house at the moment either...i only like to hang around iwth DH but its hard when inlaws are in ur face 24/7...can't wait till they go on their holidays in 4 weeks time...its been a longgggggg wait.
bubbs: I agree with the others. Just sit back and let the others deal with issues re. your baby shower. The main purpose of it should be for you to celebrate the coming arrival of the twins and for you to enjoy yourself as well. Must have posted the same time as you. We have decided to take DS to Port Stephens as we have never been there before. Hopefully the weather will be nice.
sarbear: Wow how did they know that you had GD as they don't test that early in pregnancy? The main thing is that they have identified it and you and your bubba will be looked after accordingly. Glad to hear that scan went well and bubba is happily jumping around doing acrobatics in your tummy :D
dearmum: :hugs: I can imagine how hard it must be for your DD, not seeing her DH for a month. Not only that but she is at her in laws place as well so it must be doubling difficult for her. You are a great mum to be listening to her troubles. In time, hopefully she will get used to her hubby being on a fly in, fly out job. it will just make their time together even more special when he comes home.
JCR: LOL about your 5 minute appointment with your OB. Mine usually goes like that, but at least my Ob has a scan machine and I get to see bubba everytime I go for an appointment. Thanks for the Port Stephens suggestion. I have never been there before and DH and I have agreed that we will take DS there in the next few weeks  Oh I can't wait to see your piccies of bubas room as well!
NM: Happy shopping today. Layla Peace is a beautiful name. One of my friends was going to call her bubba Isabella if it was a girl, but she is having a boy :D Don't talk about pregnancy brain. I say the dumbest things sometimes, not to mention my very poor memory at the moment!
Mrs mermaid: i remember you saying that you had insomnia. A few of us have had troubles with sleeping as well. I was laying awake for at least 2 hours before drifting off to sleep and then tossing and turning all night for a while. I still toss and turn, but I think that I am getting so heavy and tired now that I can fall asleep relatively easily. Hoepfully your insomnia doesn't last for too long.
Maorimama: Yes I think it would be great for us to go on a little trip before bubba comes along. I doubt that we will get to go anywhere for a very long while once no. 2 comes along. How's things going your end?
jojo: Are you back from Melboune yet? You must be getting over travelling. How do you feel having to fly? I remember at 6 months when I went to visit friends in QLD, that it was uncomfortable during take off and landing. My belly felt really weird
Hello to all the other lovely ladies  that I haven't mentioned or who read posts on here but don't have time to post!
AFM: Nothing to report. DH and I have decided to take DS to Port Stephens in a few weeks time to spend some quality time with him before bubba comes. Now I just have to find a nice place to stay! Bubba is doing well. Not moving about as much these days as i assume that he is running out of room. I do get really hard lumps on parts of my belly at times and know that he rests his foot at the top of my belly as well. I love rubbing those areas and see him move LOL!!!!
Well im having my pregnancy photo shot done tonight:smiliedance:cant wait.
Funny i had a dream last night that i had quads:laughing:2 girls and 2 boys awww they were so cute i can still remember how they looked.Ah i think its coz im so looking forward for my two.
Ladies i know its early days but is anyone going back for more after this baby?and if so how long will you wait?i know i might sound crazy but im still clucky for more:laughing:
Hi My3boys....Haha i get those lumps and bumps aswell but because mine are lying accross ways it gets really uncomfortable:rolleyes:coz i think one of them are close to my ribs.Yeh my DD is going to make her time with her DH worth while when he gets back she is already wanting to book a nice place away. She should also be getting her own home soon so that will be much better for her.
Hi bubbs....It must be so hard living with others when do they move out for good?
Hi NM.....Aww that name Layla peace is beautiful:yes:well enjoy shopping i bet your little girl is going to get very spoilt with her grandparents shopping with you.
NM LOVE LOVE LOVE the name you have picked for DD. I actually heard the name Layla mentioned on tv the other day and thought how nice it is. Enjoy your shopping spree today.
Dearmum :hugs: for DD. It's never easy being away from your partner....I remember how I felt when DH came to Brisbane and Perth ahead of the kids and I...I hated every minute of it. That is why this time we are flying out as a family. Hon I hear you on the clucky front. DH and I would like to do an FET either just before xmas or just after next year. May as well use the embryos we have on ice. I just hope AF cooperates and shows herself by then as I normally see nothing of her until after the kids turn one.
Bubbs I am happy to hear that you are standing back from the baby shower preparations. We have been in some less than desirable situations living with inlaws....most recently when we moved to Perth. We stayed with DH aunty and family and it was shocking. A very abusive situation that had I been aware we would have made other arrangements. Needless to say even though we had no where else to go....we spent as little time as possible there until we moved into our place.
My3boyz things are well with me...just the usual. I have been getting what I think are braxton hicks but they sometimes feel like the real thing...very hard and intense. DH worries but I tell him it's my bodies way of preparing for the labour and birth. Sounds like you have your trip all planned :smiliedance: enjoy your time away. Glad to hear your pregnancy is going smoothly.
Not much to report here....still struggling with insomnia, aches and pains, heartburn but hey can't complain. DH gets really frustrated with me at times cause I tend to just grin and bear it :p
MaoriMama - U know i don't have any major issues with my inlaws but i just don't like the fact that everyone else is good when they are helping my sis in law and praising her but if one person says something negative to her and that person is the worst person on the face of this earth...thats how she thinks unfortunately and is a very manipulative human being. I've seen how she wraps my DH around her fingers and her hubby is just another story...shes got him totalllllllyyyyy wrapped.
Anyway...hopefully its sorted...am just going to step back and try to relax now and let things unfold...i don't really feel the love at home at the moment...maybe thats why am feeling a bit down and over it....:gloomy:
Dearmum - I think its a great idea for DD and her DH to move out when he gets back...gives them some personal space too...I think a newly married couple should live on their own...
I only livedo n my own with my DH for the first year of my marriage...glad I did as it was the hardest for me since i only moved in the night i got married...so had alot of adjustments to do...but was the best year of my married life so far.
My inlaws will be moving out when they get back from their overseas trip in December...hopefully around Jan/Feb...they'll have to move out because we'll have to put the babies in the other rooms...and they at the moment have one room and my parents in law are also plannign to come in december so they'll need a room...so they have no choice but to move out...
AM looking forward to some alone time with my DH when these guys go overseas in 4 weeks...exciting times ahead because I finish work in 4 weeks as well.:smiliedance:
my3boys - Yeah Port Stephens is nice...even I think we'll plan for somewhere up north coast as well maybe Oct end/Nov. Can't wait.
I bet u are excited to get away for a bit too.
I am sure i will enjoy the baby shower thoroughly...no doubt about it since everyones put in alot of effort in organising it...i've found out that our group of friends - the girls have been emailing and trying to plan things out since the past couple of months...so am sure it'll be a fun event.... :sunshine:
Just a quick one today as i'm still cleaning, I wanna vaccuum and wash floors yet today and then cook a roast..
DD told me I was nutts yesterday as i ironed the bed:laughing: Gee i'm thinking i'm just catching up with the house work..
I even went out and unrugged the ponies in my pj's and gumboots today!! must be a wonderful sight:o
I'm gunna try for another belly shot tonight ladies, see how fat I feel later..
better go, finished my vegimite sandwich must move.
noahsmum we loved isabella for a girls name too but cannot have it due to it clashing with our last name(montebello)..............
isabella montebello is a bit of a mouthfull:laughing:.
bubbs i am sure u will love your baby shower must be nice to have everyone else organising it for you rather than doing it yourself(which lots of people end up doing these days).
as for your question about when i got tested for gd i had one at 16ish weeks and this one was on tuesday at 29w3d gestation.
maorimama i too am having trouble sleeping atm. dh also gets fustrated with me especially cos i have trouble breathing so i breath really loud and he cant sleep.
guess i have to get use to this no sleep stuff as tyler is only 10 weeks away.
dearmum please post the pics when u get them, i bet you look great.
yeah i already discuss with dh sometimes if/when we have a brother or sister for tyler but then i say lets just focus on him for now.
we can try naturally this time as they think that the problem is my blood disorder so i should be able to just take asprin, folate and b12 and hopefully we will have #2 easily. like i said we really just need to focus on tyler for now.
my3boyz glad to hear everything is well with you and bubba. tyler stuck something out for a few seconds the other day and i rubbed/grabbed it to try and tell if it was a hand or foot but he took it away.
sarbear so nice to hear from you.
sorry to hear you are still having morning sickness.
why did they test you so early for gestational diabetes? i was tested early for gd at 16weeks due to family history. i only got retested tuesday to find my glucose levels are slightly elevated(didnt ask about numbers) but they never actually said u have gd.
most of the time it will go away after the baby is born but not in all cases as my sister still has it after having her last baby. our dad has it and so do his 4 siblings plus both his parents had it.
hope u dont have to do insulin but just monitor with diet. i am still waiting to see what they plan to do with me.
jcr glad to hear everything is well with you and your little girl.
bring on 3/11 you can officially countdown now.
hello to everyone else.
afm not much to report, i am starting to get a cold. i noticed dh started to get one yesterday and i feel i am getting it today. they say sharing is caring haha.
waiting for the postman to see if my letter regarding the diabetic clinic comes today, i saw him go up the street now i gotta wait for him to come back down.
Well i'm back. Personals first
Kl4tp - I like the idea of the lotto. Good idea. Hope all is well with you.
Bubbs - THe hormones really put you up or down. Hope you are having an up day today.
NM - Chococlate - I had a crunchie the other day and one got stuck in the machine, a guy came ratttlesd it and brought it round to me so i had one the next day too. I am gaining weight so will also have to watch it now.
Meliko - Hope you are still ok and bubs are still safe inside. Thinking of you.:hugs:
Maori - Yay 25 weeks. I made 24 weeks today so feel happier about that.
Jojo - Hope you are having fun shopping and have made a decision on your pram.
My3boys - You are so close now! How have the asparagus:laughing: veins been treating you - manageable? I hope they go away asap for you. Nelson Bay is a lovely place to visit. Where do you live?
DMum -Watch the diabetes. Sugar free sound the way to go.
ok AFM - Well i am now on walking crutches so not very happy about that. I told my physio there is no way i can manage too and from work with them, it would take me an extra 10 mins just from the station and back each way so she said just use them at home and when i am out and about.
I am also on rest for today, tomorrow and all weekend, no cleaning, cooking, driving, shopping etc and my doc is allowing me to take panadeine as well as panadol every 4 hours and if that doesn't help me get through the day, he will look into a tens machine for me.
I am 24 weeks today -the magic number so feeling happy about that. Mind you i don't think anything will affect this baby, its perfectly fine, its just my body crumbling around me:no:
Ibb - U poor thing :hugs: Its just not fair what u're going through right now...i hope that u can find some relief and are in good hands with ur doctors...Atleast ur little bubba is thriving...thats important...but doesn't help when u're not doing too well. Take it easy hun.
Heather - I hope ur cold doesn't get any worse...take precaution from now hun.
Yes i guess thats the great thing about someone else doing the baby shower for u...don't have to do a thing...just be all dollied up on the day of the shower...i've told my family at home to let me know or give me a hint of the date so that I can get my hair/nails and clothes sorted...after all am going to be a mumma to be centre of attention - i do need to look HOT. :raspberry: :p
Kimmy - Woman...are u going to give urself a break from all this cleaning up??? and ironing the bed...:yelclap: good one.
Daermum - I think DH and I will assess our situation in couple of years time when our boys are a little older...maybe in 2 yrs time but we've said that maybe we might not try the IVF path again and just go for it naturally and see if anything happens or not. I think we'll go with the mindframe that if it doesn't, we won't stress over it because we have our two already. DH was always keen on two but I always said maybe three...and i want to try for a third for a girl if we can cope in couple of years time...but lets see.
Bubbs - It really is, i am twice as bad then i was with Noah.
My3boy - I love the name Isabella the only thing stoping me is my 8 letter surname to me it's just to long considering DS, DH and I all have 4-6 letter names.. yep pregnancy brain and memory OMG i am shocking.. Feeling them is the most amazing feeling
MM - We actually got the name from a movie 'big daddy'
Kimy - I can't wait to see belly photo's
ibb - YAY 24wks you poor thing on crutches, i hope you get plenty of rest and DH looks after you.
dearmum - well I would say yes straight up but DH is not so sure ... I am loving being pregnant and always wanted a big family .. will have to wait and see how we cope with the Twins and make a decision from there, we have 8 frosties ready to go and knowing they are there is very tempting. Your poor DD .. :hugs: for her ... I remember being away from my DH alot when we were just married, either I was away working or he was and it was horrid... hope she gets through the couple weeks ok. Did you find the sugarfree chocies .. hmmm, yummy !
MM - WOW, good on you for already have a target date for next bubba ... but sorry to hear of your insominia and aches and pains .. you are a trooper to grin and bear it ... it will be all worth it when that bubba comes into the world
ibb - man, you are having a rough trot .. I worked with a lady who was on walking crutches from about 20 weeks for the same reason ... her last pregnancy and again for this one .. hope you get some comfort and the pain under control .. enjoy your few days of kicking back ..
bubbs - no doubt you are looking forward to your inlaws going on hols, getting ready for the twins I would be that much harder with people in your home. As for our Pram, we are going the top end of the Valco range .. model is Twin Runabout .. bout $899 .. so it is def sturdy
my3byz - yeah i am getting sick of the travel .. I am exhausted today .. was so happy to be home last night, snuggled with my DH in my big comfy bed ... I have my 20wk OB appt on Monday so going to ask him when I have to stop travelling .. I hope he says SOON. Enjoy Port Stephens .. it is lovely around there .. hope the weather is nice and warm for you as well ...
NoahsMum - oh your name is gorgeous .. was a sweet sweet name ... we are still debating names .. I will happily share when we land someone even CLOSE to agreeing
Kimmy - take that belly shot with the pj's and gum boots .. now that would be an interesting photo
Heather - hope you get rid of that cold before it takes hold ... no time for sickness now ...
 to everyone else .. I am sure I have missed a few .. JCR, Sarbear ... better go do some work, I was so tired before I went had a nap for 30 mins .. now I just want to go back
Will post some belly pics NM ... DH has taken some I just need him to download them ... and going to HOPEFULLY laybuy our cots and pram tonight .. lets see if we stick to our decsions ..
take care ladies
Found the cable and as promised here are pics...
Hope this link works :fingerscrossed:
Jojo - Girls names for us were easy although i mentioned to DH last night that i still really like Isabella and that got him thinking oops.. I'm sure we will still come back to Layla though. Good luck with Choosing names
JCR - Your belly is sooo cute.. I love what you have done with both room just gorgeous
AFM - 19wks today! Nearly half way YAY.. I'm off to take DS to the doctors today and have booked myself in for a gender scan next Tuesday i can't wait. Yesterday i bought so much so the first chick better not be wrong
Dearmum: Hope the photo shoot went well last night. I am thinking of going back for one more child when DS2 is about 2 to 3 years old. I want to space out no. 2 and 3 a little bit more as my third child will be my last. We will be trying for a girl next time round (third time lucky??) but will still be thrilled to have another little boy.
Moarimama: Hopefully those Braxton hicks slow down for you. At least you know that your body is getting ready for the labour. But I can understand your DH’s concern due to you having premmie babies before.
Bubbs: :hugs: darl. You poor thing. I was like you, moved in with DH when we got married. We were lucky enough to be able to have quality time together for 5 years before DS came along. I can totally understand how in laws can really drive you up the wall at times. The pressure from DH’s family to bear them a grand child soon after getting married really stressed me out big time. I had one aunt in law (who had undergone IVF unsuccessfully) telling me that my biological clock was ticking at the ripe old age of 27, and an uncle in law once sat down next to me and told me the right time to have sex in order to have kids OMFG!!!! I just wanted to run away screaming!!!! But it is all good now…although none of them know that we had to have IVF in order to have our DS and now this bubba. That is mine and DH’s little secret. I am sure that you will enjoy your baby shower
Kimmy: you are always so busy cleaning and tidying up. No wonder your DD reckons you have gone nuts with ironing the bed!
Heather: I also guess if it is a hand or foot that I am feeling, but it is so hard. I reckon it is his foot that I mostly feel sticking out as that was how he was positioned last week at the scan. Hopefully your cold will be short lived.
Ibb: My viens are sooooo unsightly  I have resorted to wearing long dresses and long pants to cover them up. I have my fingers crossed that they will go after bubba is born (especially the one on my privates!). Sounds like you are going through a tough time at the moment as well. I can totally relate to you feeling as if your body is breaking down. I feel like that too. Hopefully the crutches will help you out and rest up as much as possible. Congrats on making it to the 24 week milestone as well!!
JCR: What beautiful rooms you have! I am so envious of you girls setting up babies room. DS2 will be bunking in with us until he is big enough to share a room with DS1. Love your belly shot as well.
Jojo: Wow you are almost half way through! You must be getting excited as you will have your morph scan soon :smiliedance: Hopefully your OB will give you a certificate to say you can't travel. You could always drop a hint to the OB to sign something for you LOL!!!
NM: LOL! If the first scan was wrong…Although I am sure that if there were boy bits there she would have seen them as they are very noticeable! You are almost to the half way mark as well.
 to everyone else.
AFM: Nothing to report on this end, which is good. Just got all the normal aches and pains but bubba seems to be doing well. Its supposed to be a hot weekend in Sydney, with temps in the high 20s to 30. Looking forward to just chilling at home and spending time with Dh and DS.
JCR -The rooms look fantastic. I love both themes:yelclap:
NM -I am looking into getting another scan to doublecheck the gender. I'm so afraid they got it wrong and i have so bonded now with my little girl. I have yet to take the tags of the clothes and still have the dockets just incase.
Just a quick one from me today. Thanks for your commiserations. The extra pain killers are helping and i am using one crutch around the house.
Waiting on mum to come over to steam clean our carpets and than next week the plan is to pick up our baby furniture from my inlaws and uncle's fiance's garage and DH has a friend coming over to help him setup the nursery. I'm excited about that but disappointed as i still haven't got everything i wanted for it and can't actually help with the setting up myself. Oh well i can delegate and shout orders i guess.
I have decided to start up a nutrimetics biz on the side. I'm always buying the products as i love them. A lady who works with my mum has an internet biz and says she will help me step by step. She reckons i should be able to bring a few hundred in to help with the bills so she is coming by next Sat to talk to me and sign me up. If any of you like nutrimetics, i'll give you my web address and details once organised.
Ok, of to get dressed at the least.
JCR you have a gorgeous belly and those rooms OMG they are awesome....great job.
Ibb I am sorry to hear it has come to crutches for you but hopefully they can give you some relief. We are exactly a week apart :yelclap:.
My3boyz are you talking about varicous veins? I have them really bad behind one knee and on the same thigh....they are looking pretty unsightly atm. With DD I had vuval ones as well and they were really painful but thankfully they went away after the birth.
Dearmum how is your nursery coming along?
NM I think either name you go with is lovely...Isabella is a gorgeous name.
Heather I found I got really breathless the worse my anaemia was...have you had your iron levels checked?
Hope all you lovely ladies have a great weekend :flowerz:, ours looks to be stormy and wet so time spent inside watching DVD's and eating I think
Well had my photo shoot done last night but it was all very rush rush so i hope i like the photos if not im going to do them myself.I get to see them on Sat yay,wow thats tommorro.
My baby boy is getting anoying coz he is still lying across ways and he is just under my ribs so it gets very uncomfortable sometimes.I hope they turn soon otherwise its a c/s for me:(
Ok :oi cheated yesterday i was supose to prick my finger 3 x a day but i just got so busy making tarts and going shopping so i put in my own figures:oi will do the real thing tommorro.
Waiting on hubby to buy some nice shelves for the nursery then im finished up really.
Hi Ibb....Awww it must make life so hard when your in pain like that.Just think your over half way now,i hope the time hurrys up for you.
Hi JCR....Yep i also love both rooms, you have good taste.
Hi My3boys....Yeh i have a few veins on my legs and i plan once im finished having my family im going to get them injected so they fade away.As for the private part ones i also have them and they do go away once you have bubbs its just all the pressure.I have sort of been lucky because with my babies lying across ways the pressure is off that area.I had it bad last yr with Shaheed though.
Hi NM....Haha im sure its a girl coz boys are so much easier to notice.Enjoy your scan though its always good to see them.
Hi Jojo....How did ya go with your cotts and pram did ya end up lay buying them?
Good to hear your keen on more babies.Atleast you have some frosties i dont have any left.Haha looking forward to see those belly pics.
Hi Bubbs....Hows da twinnies doing?
I reckon if your age is still young why not wait a few yrs i know i would. For me its about betting the clock coz im 37 now so its now or never. If i do go back for more it would be in like 6 months.
Hi Heather...Let us know how you go with your diabetes clinic.I need to go back on Thurday.
Hi Kimmy.....You are funny with all the cleaning gosh i wish you lived next to me coz i need help with mine hehe.Yay bring on the belly shot.
Hi Maorimama...Yeh this stormy weather isnt to good hey.I will be posting some pics hopefully on sunday if hubby can get some shelves sorted out.
Ladies how ya all doing with your weight? i have gained 11kgs so far but they say with twins it all comes in the last few weeks.
Ok better go a big HI to those that i have missed.Be back later XX
My3 - I know with DS it was clear as day a legs wide open and doodle in the air. This time we seen 3 clear lines which is girlie bits. I know 19wks today next week half way
Ibb - Even though i could see the 3 lines on screen i still want to double check, i have done the same kept all the tags on and all the receipts just in case... I still hasn't sunk all the way in yet that i'm having a girl. glad 2 hear the crutches and pain killers are giving you some relief.. Have fun setting up your nursery i want to see photos
AFM - well took DS to the GP this morning i have to change his milk to lite milk and put cream on his belly back and face to see if it clears up his skin the poor thing has excema(SP) spreading over his belly back and now his eye lids.. Yumm eating healthy today pineapple cream donut for lunch
Jojo - Good that u've decided on the Valco...I like that myself and the Peg but hubby is set on the Maclaren. Tried to change his mind this morning with the carrier...looked too small in the maclaren. HA
Yeah i think u'll have to stop travelling soon...i am sure by 28 weeks a definite...plus u'll be pretty big by thent oo and get uncomfortable. Make sure u do find out from ur obs though.
Dearmum - Yeah we'll assess the situation inc ouple of years time when the twins are a little older...lets see.
Can't wait to see ur nursery and looking forward to seeing some pics from ur photoshoot...was DH a good sport?
NM - Poor DS...:hugs: to him. Hope the rash goes away soon...must be so hard watchign little one scratching away.
JCR - Oh i love ur room...the zanzibar theme...looks amazing. I am also planning to do up my room according to samples that they show in the baby stores...but I am opting for the Snug a bug theme...lets see how it goes.
I just need to sort out which room in the house I will be decorating...ideally Id like to decoate the room that inlaws are in but need to get them out first and that won't happen till Jan.
So maybe the room next to my bedroom but its slightly smaller. hmm.
Anyawy lets see what we end up doing...but i luv both ur rooms.
Ibb - I hope the crutches are helping u with the pain...take it easy.
Girls i can't write much at the moment...am at work and got in late this morning..had my obs appointment and now have a meeting in 3 minutes...so need to attend to that. I'll log in a little later and update you wiht my appointment...all good but...babies are doing good.
Update on my Obs appointment this morning :
Got to hear both babies heartbeat. Said the baby on my right had some attitude. :D Cheeky little monkey.
Told them my dizzy, blackout spells and its because I am not eating my proper breakfast before i leave home and should be eating pretty well...and carrying fruits with me so that I don't experience such things...got told off by the midwife thoroughly and DH was lagreeing to her 110%...ah well.
I have been asked to have my blood work done for iron and anti bodies test and my GD test in 2.5 weeks. I already have the referral for it so need to do the Short glucose test at 26 weeks...need to make a booking for it.
Other then that, i see my obs next on 2nd Oct with my results from GD test...should be interesting.
I have to also book in for my 28 week growth scan and then from there she will determine how often I get to see her according to the scan results...28 week falls around the week of 12th Oct to 16th Oct...my last day at work.
But yes all looked good.
We asked about the chances of having the baby delivered early...she said pretty high as they are twins but we want to avoid that.
She'd absolutely love it for us to get to 37 weeks...and by 38 weeks she'll induce them out..but if they happen at 35/36 weeks...thats fine as well...just not before 35 weeks...so thats the aim.
35 weeks falls for me on first week of december and 37 week falls around xmas...i want them both out at 36 weeks...a week before xmas. :p
But then again its not up to me. they'll come when they're ready. :raspberry: my little monkeys.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend...enjoy and take care. :sunshine:
bubbs - It sure is seeing him scratching himself we are going to lather him up in sorbelen before he goes to bed so i'm hoping it helps him.. Good to hear your bubs are both doing well!
sorry i cant be bothered doing personals tonite.
i didnt get on earlier as i didnt have any internet credit and couldnt be bothered getting any until about 2 1/2 hours ago.
feeling a bit crap cos of this cold but hey what do you do??? doesnt feel like anything major just runny nose and sore throat.
man i am so not looking forward to warmer weather, today in adelaide it was approx 28-29 degrees and i didnt cope well with it at all. not sure if being pregnat and having a cold may have made me feel worse.
i usually am not too bad in the heat.
dh has to work til 9-10pm tonite so i get to be bored at home by myself woo hoo. and then he works again tomorrow til 5.30pm.
i have finished half of the housework and will do more either tonite or tomorrow or probably both.
i have the diabetic clinic on tuesday which works out great for me as i dont work tuesdays and then i have my antenatal appt on wednesday. i didnt get a letter from them but they rang me today.
i must say i am missing sugar:( oh well whatever it takes to keep tyler healthy and not make him a huge bubba.
have a great weekend.
ps. i put a bikini top on to do the cleaning in cos i was too hot to wear anything else and it is the funniest site, these big boobs with these little triangles of cloth wihich only cover my nipples:laughing:.
Im having a very tired day coz i went out and had a look at that belly photo shot i did,i only ended up buying one coz at $80 per photo thats enough to spend.
Ladies im going to post a couple of pics of the half completed nursery:hair:hubby is sick this week so i couldnt get him to finish up the shelves and nets:(but you can get a idea were i will be putting them coz you will see a plain wall.Oh i have also put up a new pic of me its not the best coz im tired but you can see how big im getting.
Kimmy my wardrobe looks a bit like yours hehe.
DM - Your nursery looks fantastic! As for the photo of you, you are one hot mumma!
Well hubby and his mate decided last night that today was a good day for them to pick up the nursery furniture scattered between my uncle's fiance's house and my mil's house.
Helping as much as i was able, DH put it all together and under guidance from me, we have somewhat decorated - hard when renting.
There are a few things more we have to get out of layby. I also made a cross-stitch picture i have yet to frame and hang plus i want to get the hand and feet mould done with a photo of her and hang that on the wall plus her name plaque.
Anyway i love it, everytime i walk past, i have to stop and look in:laughing: Here's some pics.
Can't wait til our bubby girl is here to meet us.
Hope u all had a lovely weekend...
Dearmum - Great room hun...how exciting. I bet u can't wait to have the bubs in there now...
I hope ur DH starts to feel better soon and is on the mend.
Nice belly pics too...
I hear u abotu tiredness...am feeling it a bit too now.
Ibb - Great room here too love...its nice to see how everyones getting so creative. :D
Heather - How are ud oing??? Funny how u cleaned the house with a bikini top on.
NM - How is Noah now with the itch? hopefully its gone down?
Hope the rest of u are doing well...
AFM - Had a nice weekend..saturday DH and i left around midday to go and check out baby kingdom...saw the cot we wanted. My parents have said that they'll get us one cot and we get the other...so sweet of them.
Looked at some room decoration options..DH wants to go for the dullest colours on the face of this earth...so we've conflicting there.
Still can't make up our minds on the pram...i dont want the maclaren and he does...so am trying to show him reasons why I don't want it and he is showing me why we should have it...:hair:
But we'll get tehre...hopefully the baby show will help us in making our decision.
Other then that just a relaxing weekend...not much really.
24 weeks this week for me :smiliedance:
Ibb - YAY how exciting putting everything together, very cute room so far! Aww look at you and your little belly, i'm so huge compared to you!
Bubbs - I ended up changing his milk to lite milk and the excema seems to have cleared up on his face which is good as that's what he was mainly scratching, he has some more on his neck and his teething rash under his chin has been itchy but the cream is clearing it up, i have to try and keep a bib on him he drools so much that he gets the teething rash on his chest, i tell you it's never ending! I just wish these dam eye teeth would come all the way through. that's so nice of your parents to buy you a cot! Sounds like your DH is very involved in what you buy for your babies, my DH didn't really care, i just showed him what i wanted LOL
AFM - i'm off to brekkie this morning with a friend, pancakes on the rocks YUMMMMMM.. Also this morning while lying in bed waiting for DS to wake up who decided to have a sleep in, i felt bubs kicking big strong kicks so i could see my belly moving with every kick, i tried to feel them but the little bugger stopped. Tomorrow i have my scan to confirm the gender then i should have no problem saying 'her or she'
Moarimma: yes I am talking about viracose veins. I have them all up and down one side of my legs and on my privates  They’re on my calf muscle, behind my knee and on my thigh. Its horrible, but for some reason is only on one leg/side of my body. Gee pregnancy can do some weird things to your body!
Dearmum: Professional photos do cost a lot. Hopefully the belly shot you picked turned out the way you wanted it. At my last OB appointment I had gained 6.5 kg so have put on quite a bit of weight since my ms dispappeared at 17 weeks. I love your nursery photos. The white cots and change table really go well with the colour scheme you have picked for the walls and runners. You’re looking fantastic as well!
NM: Oh your poor DS with his eczema. It can be really horrible for a little one. My DS had it as a baby and we always had to put cream and dermeze on his face and body. I was recommended to bathe him with QV oil to stop his skin from drying out. We still put QV cream all over his body once he has a bath to keep his skin hyrdated. Hopefully the eczema will go away with the change in milk and cream that you have been recommended. Oh yummy pancakes for breakkie. You are making me hungry!
Bubbs: So glad to hear that both bubbas are doing well and that you have found out the reason why you have been getting dizzy spells…even if the midwife did tell you off for it. Did you explain that having Breakkie makes you feel sick on your way to work?
Heather: I hope you get over your cold soon. Its no fun being sick, but when pregnant, it makes it a whole lot worse as there is virtually nothing you can safely take. We also had hot weather over the weekend, about 30 where I live.
Ibb: Glad that you were able to pick all your bubba’s furniture up and start setting up your nursery. I love the colour of your cot and table. I love that dark chestnut colour. I totally recommend getting your bubba’s hands and feet moulds done as well (either yourself or professionally) as you forget how small they are when newborn. We had DS’ done at 5 weeks by a professional and its framed with a photo of him at 5 weeks plus a silver plaque with his name, his birth date, birth weight etc on it as well. Money well spent I reckon
AFM: Had a nice weekend at home with just DH and DS. It was pretty hot yesterday so we took DS to the pools and had a bit of a splash around. Bubba is doing well I guess. He seems to kick less these days. I get more squirmy types of movement so I guess he is running out of room. Have my next Ob appointment on Friday week. It will be interesting to see how much more he has grown since the last scan.
Hope everyone had a good weekend..
Any new on Meliko??
Yep DM your babies are going to be as spoilt as my little bubba..:D
NM those kicks are just the greatest, I have a jumping bean in my belly and he never seems to stop (not that I mind)
Bubbs- Men have the funniest taste don't they? I was lucky DH just told me to pick out the colours and he would just paint them..
ibb- I have done a cross stitch as well, I have now done one for all the kids..
Well I expected to come on here and be overloaded with posts!! My computer has been down all weekend and I've only just got it going again..
My DH decided to snore all weekend, drove me nuts Friday night I put him on the couch, then Saturday I ended up on the couch but i'm never going to do that again as my belly and it's pillow don't fit:laughing: last night was great no snoring...
I have to take DD guinea Pig to the vet today, gee I hope it's going to be ok as I wont handle the tears, I only think it's an abcess fingers crossed.
Other than the constant feeling of exploding i think i'm doing ok, all the normal stuff happening like sore hips... I just think i'm sore all over... My hands and feet are starting to get all fluid in them, oh the joys of pregnancy..!!
Well better get DD something to eat..
NM I hope that the change in Noah's milk helps to clear his ezcema. Yay for being able to watch your little girl dance!! Enjoy those pancakes.
Bubbs my DH just tends to let me deal with decor etc...he generally likes what I do anyway so that helps. What a shame you can't decorate the room you want for a nursery but I'm sure the room you do will look just as gorgeous.
My3boyz it's strange isn't it? I only have the veins on one side too. Ooh another OB appt this week :yelclap: .
Dearmum gorgeous nursery, you must be relieved to have it nearly finished now...all you need to do now is wait for your precious bundles to arrive.
Ibb your nursery is looking great too....I am like you, everytime I go into our room I can't help look at the cot and everything we have in it.
Who was it that was getting the bad leg cramps? I had a terrible bout of them on Saturday night....lasted about 5mins but felt like forever. Yesterday I could hardly walk on that leg as the muscle was still really sore....felt like I had run a marathon. Thankfully it's eased now but it feels like it will start to spasm again at any moment. I had them in my other pregnancies but I think time has dulled the pain of them. Any ideas on how to help eleviate them?
My3 - I might have to try that QV wash, it's hard at the moment we have to Shower DS as our other bathroom with the bath is being renovated. The cream for under his chin we can only use for another 6 days other then that we are lathering him up in sorbelene. I might change his washing powder this week as well to see if it helps.. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Your so lucky you get to have extra scans to see bubs
Kimmy - Yeah i can't wait for that, DS was non stop the bigger he got, at least you don't have much longer to go!
MM - You poor thing with the leg cramps i have been getting them as well although they only last a few seconds, not very nice though
hello lovely ladies
trust everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend ..
Bubbs - glad to hear you are working on your DH re: the nursery ... shame you can't set up the room you would like but just think, you can plan your nursery twice ! Well, we didn't end up with the Valco pram .. DH decided it was too heavy and was worried about me lifting it in/out of the car. So we settled on the City Mini (baby jogger brand) - around the same price but 5kgs lighter and will carry babies until 23kg (per seat)
NoahsMum - lucky you ! I can't wait to see my belly move ... I am feeling lots more movement but can't see it yet ... my little wiggly worm is on the go all the time, but thankfully not at night. Hope Noah is feeling better .. Have you heard from Meliko .. please let her know I am thinking of her and wishing her well ...
MM - I can't remember who told us on this thread, Indian Tonic Water is good for cramps .. try a glass or two before bed
Kimmy - not long to go for you !! How exciting
My3boyz - isn't the warmer weather just stunning ... my DH went in the pool on the weekend but I wasn't as game :D
Ibb - your nursery looks gorgeous ... well done .. now all you need it a bubba to fit it out completely :)
DearMum - your nursery looks gorgeous as well .. my DH is into photography, he has all the gear so he will take my photos and "touch" them up for me  $80 is alot of a photo ! You feeling OK - did you find the sugarfree chocolate ?
Heather - where is the photo of you in the bikini doing the hosuework  Hope you are feeling better and see the back end of that cold soon !
 to everyone else
AFM : Had my 20wk appt with my OB this morning .. got a surprise scan YAY .. both bubbas are doing well .. passive baby boy and crazy little girl .. still thrashing around ... he is happy to write a letter for me to say no more travel psot 24 weeks - another YAY .. so that will be fantastic for me. Nothing else to report, belly growing, I am fine, no complaints .. happy happy happy
Jojo :smiliedance: sounds like your appt went really well today...and to be able to see your twins again is wonderful. Thanks for the info re:cramps....I knew I had read about them in this thread somewhere but for the life of me couldn't remember who or what they said worked for them. I tell ya I would much rather go through hours of labour than cramps like that again  cos at least at the end of it you are rewarded with a baby.
Hi IBB....Wow your belly is still very small hmm maybe you will pop the last minute.Love the dark wood you have i had no choice with mine coz my DD knew she will be having them in a couple of yrs so she put in her requests for white.
Hi Bubbs...Awww my hubby anyways wants his way but once i make up my mind he has no say:laughing:and im getting fussier as im getting older hehe.
Hi Kimmy....Oh gosh snoring i get that every night, babe try the snoring rings you can get from the chemist they do work well they kind of make the snoring more quiet.Yeh im getting sore hips from lying to long on one side,im missing sleeping on my belly.
Hi Jojo....Gald to hear both bubbas are happy playing around.I have my scan on Wednesday cant wait.Yes yes :Di found some sugar free hazel nut chocs at woolies oh they do the trick,i have been naughty though eating my homemade tarts:o
Hi My3boys....Oh 6.5kgs your doing well coz you dont have many week left.Lucky you guys getting hot weather here in perth its still rainy and cold so looking forward to summer.
Hi NM....HMMM YUMMM pancakes i love pancakes,i had boring weetbix for breakie.Enjoy your scan tommorro i hope she opens her legs.
Hi heather.....Hows the no sugar going?
Hi MM....Ouch those cramps i remember getting them with my other babies,so far so good this time around.Sorry i cant remember what they used to ease them.
Ladies im 30 weeks today:smiliedance:and Meliko is 29 weeks, can someone tell her im thinking of her.
Dearmum - Congrats on successfully reaching 30 weeks...how exciting. I bet u can't wait for the next few weeks to fly by...it'll go fast hopefully.
Jojo - Yeah its just such a tough decision isn't it. DH and I again had issues over prams thsi weekend...by the end of it i was so over it that i just walked away from that area...I also liked the Valco but it is too heavy...i think 14kg...not easy to carry for when DH's are not around to put in the car.
We still have a decision to make so will make it after the baby show on Saturday.
Glad to hear that no more travel for u after 24 weeks...YAY.
Maorimama - I had a bit of a cramp on Saturday and it was painful...i just tried to stretchi it out but I hope that the soda water really does help...give it a go.
Kimmy - how many weeks are u now?? sounds like it is getting uncomfortable for u...
take it easy hun.
I hope ur DD's guinea pig is doing ok...what does teh vet have to say?
my3boys - the midwife said that since am awake pretty early...try to eat atleast couple fo hours before i leave home so that i don't feel so sick but its not that easy.
I had that same issue even after i had breakfast this morning where i started to lose sensation on my feet and felt my system was shutting down...i had a banana and sat down so felt better but seriously, gotta have some fruit with me no matter what...just incase i start to shut down again.
Ah well...all part of the package i guess.
Both my bubs are fairly quiet today..especially my active right bubba...must be dozing away. Left bubba i can feel occassional movements but today they're both quieter.
I like to feel their movements...makes me feel happy.
And am feeling very exhausted too...these babies are taking away all my energyyyyy...i had a very relaxing day yesterday and even napped during the day but still feel knackered. Its ok...all part of the package they say.
Jojo - No i haven't heard from her i will text her though. My little one is a little lazy she hasn't been moving all that often, today is the most movement i have had so far. With DS he was non stop by this stage, great to hear all is well with your bubba's. That's great you won't be travelling
Bubbs - Not much longer and you will be on maternity leave!
DM - I am thinking it will sink in tomorrow once i see those 3 little lines again, i am hoping he can get a clear shot so i can get a photo. Weetbix aren't boring DS had them as well!
My I'm so used to jumping on here and having a stack of posts to catch up on...where is everyone? Hope you are all well.
Dearmum I too love weetbix....grew up with the slogan 'Kiwi Kids are weetbix kids' and it's definitely true in my case
Had great difficulty in shaving my legs in the shower today and am not yet ready to go au natural so will just have to live with the hairy patch here and there :D. Have cooked a devine dinner of Roast chook with the works and a sticky date pud with caramel sauce and cream to top it off....YUM!!
I woke up this morning with some wonderful contractions:cool: BUT they have all fizzled out now, I'm sore but nothing else... Suppose that is good with 5 weeks to go:yes: (don't get out of vaccuuming now)
I ichy as  if I stand to long my feet hurt and my hands are puffy! BUt i'm still loving it. Scan tomorrow, then back to midwives next week.. (I think they keeping an eye on me) this maybe my last scan as well as doc is going on holidays for 4 weeks (how rude) suppose he is entitled to a holiday after putting up with me for 9 months:laughing: I'm going to have to take my rings off if I can get my hands to go down..
Guinea Pig was good at the vet yesterday and seeing DD and how much she cared it was worth every cent of my $40.. (was an abcess on her lip)
Any new on Meliko yet?? Tell her I say HI!
Maorimama- you can have you weetbix, I'm not a fan at all..
Bubbs- i'm 33 weeks tomorrow.. I'm looking forward to labour, bring it on!
You other Ladies are going so well:hugs:
Well better go drop DS off,
Till later ladies
I sent Meliko a text yesterday and just got one back
We're okay. They are worried about baby b, his growth and slowed down. But the good news is they have appeared to stop pre term labour for now!
MM - It is such an effort to shave your legs isn't it. I remember trying to groom myself the day before i went in for a c section poor DH had to help
Kimmy - How exciting braxton hicks, good luck with your scan today
It's sooo quite in here lately!
Well i'm having a home day today cooking a cassarole and ANZAC buscuits oh and my gender scan this afternoon maybe then it will sink in
NM - thanks for the update on Meliko, that is great that her labour has stopped .. hope Baby B starts growing again .. but more so than anything, she is in the right place to be cared for ... feel free to send some ANZAC cookies up this way .. hmmm yummy ! I hope it finally does sink in about your little girl .. what time is your scan ?? Enjoy your scan hon - always great to see bubbs
MM - how did that Tonic work for you ? We had the same saying growing up .. Aussie Kids, are Weetbix Kids ... they are a great staple ... and I loved them slathered in butter and jam or honey ..
Kimmy - :smiliedance: you are so close now .. on the home stretch ... glad DD's guinea is OK, very stressful having sick pets ..
Dearmum - glad you found that sugarfree chocie ... I forgot to comment on your photo .. of you not your nursery .. you most certainly have that glow about you, you look radaint .. gorgeous thing you !
bubbs - congrats on 24 weeks .. you will be signing off from work in no time. And then time to prepare that nursery ... have you decided on cots yet ? We laybuyed our nursery furniture on the weekend, 2 gorgeous white sleigh cots with matching chest draws and change table .. a little more expensive than we originally planned but they are stunning and convert to toddler beds ..
AFM - slowly going insane .. my Mother is visiting and is driving me nuts ! :hair: She has been here a week and another week to go - I am sure she means well but she moves things to where she likes them (and then I just move them back!) and eats lots of bad food (she has type 2 diabetes) .. no doubt she thinks she is being helpful but she isn't. I am dreading her next visit when the babies arrives .. all she does is reference when I was born 36 years ago !!! ... I much prefer my M&F-i-L .. god give me strength to get through the next 6 days ... aahhhhh !! Most other people I know are much closer to their mothers ... I must be the odd one out ...
BUT .. apart from that my bubbas are doing well and so am I
Ok im not having boring weetbix today im having boring toast:laughing:
God ladies i was having Braxton hicks last night and everytime i got up to do something there was a leak so i guess it was just me weein on myself.I have a scan & doc appt tommorro cant wait to see how much weight my babies have put on,im also going to be asking about this stitch coz im scared like hell of going into labour with it still in.
DD is coming over today and once again we will be making some peanut biscuits together, she complained when i told her to come over she said gosh each time i come over mum i come home with flour all over me:poh well.
She has been having a down time coz on the weekend she went out with her best friends from primary school to some club anyway turns out they stole her ID,her license went missing ages ago and she thought she had lost it somewere at home and then again on her wedding night lucky she reported it stolen each time.Anyway come getting into the club the two girls (sisters) went in first and my DD got stopped becasue they had seen her face on IDs 3x,anyway they tracked down the other girls and called the cops but as soon as the cops turned up they ran off :no:they also took off with my DD car keys.Anyway my DD had to tell the copps everything including there phone numbers ect coz she didnt want to lie,but come the next day these girls have been threating her life on facebook and on her phone....poor girl coz they were her besties.I have told her to report these threats so we might be off to the police station tommorro. So yeh she aint doing so well her hubby not around and she is feeling very alone.
Hi NM...:yelclap:Your scan day today yay, hope you confirm she is a little girl.I will pop back in later to see how it went.
Hi Jojo....Awww i love those sleigh cotts there stunning,if these were my first babies i would have gone for something like that.Cantwait to see your finished off room. What colours do you have in mind?
Haha thats so funny how your mum goes around moving stuff and you follow by putting them back, just think its not forever she will be gone soon.
Hi Kimmy....Woohoo we might be hearing you have had your little one soon, those pains sound like the start of it all....fingers crossed.
Hi Maorimama......How was that yummy roast last night and to top it off with yummy sticky date pudding mmmmm.Ok im getting hungry.
Ladies i better go be back soon:wave:
Jojo - Yup we've decided on the cots but haven't placed an order yet. We're getting the Tasman Eco Tuscany Cot. They're a little expensive but we might as well buy it as it converts into a toddler bed too and we're getting it in white as well.
Just have to palce the order as we are told it can take up to 12 weeks if supplier doesn't have it. better get cracking on it.
Kimmy - Glad to hear that the guinea pig is doing well and it wasn't anything serious...
33 weeks..wow...not long to go hun..lucky u...u'll have bubba in ur arms before u know it. EXCITING.
NM - Thanks for the update on Meliko...i hope her baby B starts growing... :fingerscrossed:
Yummm...can I please have some anzac cooking.
Maorimama - Yup i remember that add...Kiwi Kids, are weetbix kids. haa haa.
I like my weetbix in cold milk with a little tiny bit of sugar. YUM.
Although i don't mind to change my cereal every now and then...get bored too quickly.
Ibb - How are u doing hun.
Dearmum - So what are u up to today???
AFM - Doing well..yesterday was just very exhausted...feeling a bit better today..must have been just overtired or something.
but other then that doing good...
Dearmum - We both posted at the same time...
Doesn't sound like those friends are very trustworthy at all...i guess ppl like that are not really friends.
I can't beleive they are harrassing her now...silly girls.
I hope ur DD gets it sorted soon..atleast she has u and ur DH to help her out.
Maorimama - Oh yes the sticky date pudding...one of my favourite desserts. YUMMM.
I love it. Wheres my share?? :chef:
DM - OMG, that is just horrible, your poor DD .. give her big :hugs: ... some people seriously, they are just plain bullies .. I agree, get her to report it to the Police, no point letting them intimidate her. People like that make me mad !!!! Hope she comes through this OK and just avoids these girls all together ... or these girls will have a load of pregnant bubhub women chasing them down
bubbs - my DH loved the Tuscany cot too ... and we nearly got it in white ... but the guy gave us such a great deal on the Sleigh ones and DH knew in my heart of hearts I wanted the Sleigh beds ... we got 2X cots + mattress, change table + mat, stunning draws and toddler conversion kits for under $1500 .. the costs RRP $695 .. now I just can't wait to set up the nursery
As for the Nursery, well bl**dy telstra strikes again .. we are trying to move the office/internet lines from one room to another .. oh my goodness .. talk about dramas .. I have been on the phone to Telstra 4 times ... our interent has been down since Friday and I am using a wireless broadband modem for my laptop (sometimes a little slow) and each time they have got it wrong - got a lovely girl yesterday and I think she sorted it out ... sooooo .. the lines should be moved on Wednesday and then I can start cleaning and decorating .. :yelclap: the walls are currently off white and we might leave them and decorate with frames and stuff .. lots of colour in bedding and wall hangings .. well that is todays plan
NM .. waiting to here from you ... confirming that little girl .....
NM: I think the QV wash is people with sensitive skin. We have used it since DS was newborn as his eczema was really terrible. I think lathering up your DS with sorbalene is good too. It will keep his skin moisturised and hydrated.
The good thing about my OB is that he has his own scan machine so everytime I go for an appointment I get to have a scan to see bub as well. Have fun seeing your little girl again this arvo. And thanks for letting us know how Meliko is doing. I am always thinking about her and the boys. Hopefully bubb B will have a bit of a growth spurt and catch up to the other 2.
Kimmy: My DH snores as well…..really loudly!! But I have gotten used to it so it doesn’t really bother me anymore. DS hates hearing DH snoring. If he is having a snooze on the couch, DS will go up to him and slap him awake to stop him from snoring LOL!!! So glad your DD’s guniea pig is OK and that it was just an abcess and not something more serious. Oh how exciting to be getting Braxton hicks. Looks like your body is getting itself ready for the up coming birth or your bub!
Moarimama: Hopefully the indian tonic water will help with the leg cramps. I think it was Heather that first suggested it???? I got a leg cramp coming down stairs about a week ago. Made me plonk my butt on one of the steps straight away. Gawd it hurt and was still pretty sore for the remainder of the day and the next day as well. So I can totally relate to how you are feeling right now
Jojo: Sounds like the OB appointment went well and I am so glad to hear the your OB has given you a letter for stopping all travel by 24 weeks. Congrats on getting to the halfway mark! I am sure your mum is just trying to help you and wanting to feel useful. Are these her first grand children?
Dearmum: If I had gained 6.5 kg throughout this whole pregnancy then that would be good. But unfortunately about 5 of those kilos has been gained in the 10 weeks up to 30 weeks. I will have probably gained yet another 2 kilos by the time I see my OB at 33 weeks. Going by my calculation I would have gained over 11 kilos by the time this one comes along. Looks like I will be getting on my treadmill when bubba is born to shed those kilos.
Congrats on getting to 30 weeks. That’s amazing with twins on board. Hopefully you can get past 35 weeks to give them both a good head start.
OMG. I think your DD is better off without those so called besties. Friends do not steal other friends’ licenses and ID. That is horrible and I am glad that she has found out what awful people they are. Hopefully after you report their threats to the police that you can put and end to the harassment that she has been getting. Poor thing. She has had a really tough time lately :hugs:
Bubbs: What about having a glass of juice just before you leave for the train station? It may help to keep your sugar levels up until you can sit on the train and snack on fruit. Not long till you are on maternity leave. But I guess if things start to get really tough then you could always finish up early as you are carrying twins.
AFM: Not much to report. Leon has slowed down on the movements ALOT. But I can still feel him during the day so I am not so worried. Ok got to get back to report writing. Need to get 2 off before i go on mat leave. Only 3 weeks to go after this one. Can't beleive how fast time is flying.
DM- your poor DD, besties like that:( wow.. your having pains aswell.. I still think you will be first.
m3b- 3 weeks left till mate leave, I bet your looking forward to it
bubbs- i'm hearing you on over tired, I could live in bed at the moment. What date you going on leave?? My sugar levels get low as I don't eat breakfast either, milo first thing helps.
jojo- My mum has been great, but she drives me nuts I couldn't have her stay with me as I would flush her before the day had ended.
Still waiting on NM!!
Me I have just got back out of bed, went and had a nanna nap, i'm still real crampy but not contractions just a real sore belly.. It's funny as I have been induced every time and have no idea what i'm feeling! Doc tomorrow but he wont tell me anything, just rushed in checked and rushed out again...:o
Well I better shower and go to the supermarket and figure out tea, oh I still haven't vaccuumed.
kimmy: Stuff the vacuuming. I think our sore belly is telling you to go slower... I am also wondering how my labour will start as well as I was induced with DS, so not even sure if I will know if I'm in labour this time round. Although people say that you will "just know" when the real thing begins.
NM: i agree that it has been a bit quiet here lately.
Well I have started taking my raspberry leaf tablets. I read the label and it said to take 3 tablets 4 to 5 times a day! uhmmm I think I will just take 2 tablets about 3 to 4 times a day to begin with and see how I go. Hopefully they do the trick of toning up my uterus in prep for the birth. Not sure if they helped last time cause I was induced, but I did have a short labour of about 5 hours.
I've also had stuffy sinuses as well. More so at night. Its really annoying when you feel like you can't get enough air into your lungs!
kimmy - I agree with my3, stuff the vacuuming ... take a load off  .. as for dinner ... just organised ours, we are having Enchiladas, DH loves them ..
my3 - that is alot of tablets, uh ??? I have been reading about them also, I will start taking them when the time is right .. will be good to see if they help you. Yes these are her first real grandkids, she has my 2 step-kiddies but she wasn't around when they were born ..
Dearmum I feel for you DD, that is certainly no way to treat a friend....she is much better off without them in her life. I really hope she gets it sorted. Yep I had boring toast for brekky to this morning...couldn't be bothered with anything else. Dinner last night was devine but I think I over did it slightly :p
NM enjoy seeing your little one this avo. Thanks for keeping us update on Meliko....hopefully with them being able to stop the premature labour she can buy her bubs some more time.
Kimmy I have been getting BH for a few weeks now and I find them quite uncomfortable. Like you I have only ever been induced, so if I manage to get further this time I ?? whether I will know the signs of labour if I go naturally. It's kinda exciting but scary at the same time. Inductions are so intense and you know what to expect but I know nothing about going naturally.
Bubbs weetbix with butter and jam was a favourite afternoon snack...can't say I could eat them like that now though.
Jojo I can't wait to see your completed nursery. I love my mum to bits but find her hard to tolerate at times too...we are just too different.
My3boyz with the tonic water are you supposed to drink it everyday to help prevent cramps?....I wasn't too sure. Wow not long now before you are on Mat leave. I too will be using my treadmill to it's full potential once bubs arrives, especially given that I can't use it anymore as I get too achy.
Another lax day for me....have baking in the oven which smells so yummy - choc brownies, just have to decide what I feel like for dinner tonight.
Maorimama - Whats wtih all this baking and cooking hun?? surely taking on the role of master chef :chef:
I can see myself doing just that in 5 weeks time when I am on maternity leave and sitting at home thinking hmm..what do i do today..
Enjoy the cooking hun...
I used to also enjoy weetbix with butter dipped quickly in hot milky tea..yummmm
NM - I hope u get back to us with ur confirmation of ur little girl.
my3boys - Enjoy taking those tablets...i hope they help too with labour. What week do u start taking them???
Kimmy - Can u please lock that vaccum cleaner away somewhere...and take rest. I agree with other ladies...it is ur body telling u to take full rest. Give Dylan a bit more time in that little cozy house of his.
Jojo - I agree...getting the room done up with lots fo bedding colours and wall hangings is kinda my idea. I was really keen on snug as a bug but DH isn't too keen...his idea is the bland brown/cream combination...i made him realise why u need vibrant colours...so baby can interact with colours as its so important. I think i have gotten through to him...if not it is still my choice.
AFM - I was telling my DH that I will really miss thsi part of having both my babies kicking and moving inside me. I think its the most fascinating feeling in the world. I get really worked up when they're both a little quiet...but its such a feeling that I will miss heaps.
I think overall I will miss being pregnant...
Just another question...are you ladies taking any other supplements besides ur Pregnancy & breastfeeding formular??
DH heard on the radio - Talk back show that ladies were recommended to take additional fish oil supplements in pregnancy. He wants me to start taking it but being a vegetarian...the idea of burping it up really puts me off. Is there any that you ladies can recommend that you are taking or know of anyone taking it? It has to be mercury less of course.
hey Bubbs - I have read that fish Oil helps the babies brain develop, I think in the last 6 weeks - that is the most beneficial time to take it. You can get certified fish oil tablets that guarantee they are low in Mercury and you can get odorless ones, that should stop the fish oil after taste. There is a variety of brands, the cheaper ones are not normally from a sustainable source, best to ask your pharamcist or pop in to a health food shop
MM - I hear what you are saying about being different, that is my mother and I - chalk and cheese ...
jcr your nursery and sons room look great.
i like the car/truck theme of your sons room.
belly is looking good too.
dearmum sorry to hear of your dd and the trouble she has been having with her supposed friends. who needs friends like that?
how is your gd going?
kimmy oh braxton hicks how exciting.
good luck with your ob appt tomorrow.
bubbs dont worry too much about your babies movements(easier said than done). some days they may be more active than other days i know i was worried when i had been busy and not felt tyler move much for a day or two but then the next day whammo he was doing cartwheels.
maorimama i was reccommended indian tonic water for leg cramps and it does the trick for me. i only have about half a glass a day and it works. hope your cramps are easing up.
yummy brownies, unfortunately i cant have any:no:.
my3boyz wow 3 more weeks of work that sounds great. i have got between 3 and 5 weeks left after this week. dh said i can finish in about 3 more weeks but i would like to finish in about 5 more just for that little extra bit of cash. we will see how i feel in a few weeks time.
noahsmum best wishes for your scan today, hope all is well with bubba.
jojo no you would not have liked to see me in the bikini top, was pretty scary.
meliko my thoughts are with you dh and your baby boys, hope they keep holding in there.
oh i hope baby b is ok.
ibb your nursery is looking good.
hello to everybody else.
afm i had my diabetic clinic appt this morning.
i have to see a dietician on friday arvo to go through what to eat i guess.(and not eat)
they usually do it in the clinic i had today but the dietician doesnt get back from holidays til tomorrow.
i have to prick my finger 4 times a day to monitor my glucose levels, before breakfast, after breakfast(2hrs), after lunch(2hrs) and after dinner(2hrs).
just did my first test for today(only doing the 2 today as the other 2 were missed due to only going to the clinic today) and it was a little higher than it should have been so i will be glad to see the dietician to go through what i can and cant eat and hopefully get some good readings.
after food(2hrs) it should be less than 7.0 and mine was 7.3. hopefully after dinner the reading is better.
antenatal appt is tomorrow so i will see what they have to say.
Moarimama: I think I remember heather saying that she had to take the tonic water regularly and that it had to be the indian brand to reduce cramps. She said she stopped and the cramps came back full force. Hopefully she is reading and can shed some light on it.
LOL looks like heather has seen your post and replied, during the time that I took to post this part...
bubbs: It says on the blackmores rasp leaf tab info to start taking it from 3 trimester. But last time round I remember my OB telling me to wait till 32 weeks to take them. I am 32 weeks this week so have started on them again. I think you should ask your OB about rasp leaf before taking it as it does tone up the uterus but if taken too early has a very slight risk of inducing labour (well that is what I have read anyways...not sure if it is true). Plus the fact that you are carrying twins means your chances of going into premmie labour are quite high. So before taking anything that tones up/affects the uterus I think that it would be better for you to ask your OB if it is OK, just to be on the safe side.
I think the thing with fish oil supplements is the omega 3 content. So if you can substitute the fish version with something else that contains omega 3 then hopefully that will help. I am also taking calcium and extra folic acid. I take calcium cause I don't eat diary (or rarely anyway) and the extra folic acid cause my FS told me to take about 1000 mg when pregnant with DS. It didn't do him any harm so I thought might as well have the extra again this pregnancy.
jojo: As I said with bubbs, it would probably be a good thing to ask your OB if it is OK for you to take rasp leaf during your pregnancy. As you are carrying twins, the risk of premmie labour is higher and therefore before taking anything that tones up/affects the uterus I would ask your OB if it is OK just to be safe.
Heather: If you feel up to working for another 5 weeks then I say go for it. But just don't overdo it. I can not wait to go on mat leave. I can say that I WILL NOT miss having to sit in Sydney peak hour traffic trying to get to and from work. But at the moment I also feel that the weeks I have left are too short. Too many things to get done and to pass on to other people.
my3boyz we must have been writing at the same time:laughing:.
yep twas me that had the indian tonic water for leg cramps and when i didnt take it for a week due to me forgetting to buy it in the shoppig i started to get the cramping again.
i remebered to get it last week and havent had any more cramps.
lmao my3boyz and me must keep replying/editing at the same time.
my3boys - Yup i have read that taking raspberry leaf tablets earlier can bring on labour so its a big no no for us in our second trimester...if i am to take it, i'll probably take it after 32 weeks myself but will surely ask my obs before i take any of that step.
Yeah I did a bit of research and did go to the health food shop to see what was available...at first she showed me the blackmores fish oil but did say that it can at times make u burp it up...which i don't want. She then recommended a practioner brand that they sell behind the counter...they're pretty pricey but see to do the job. Shes told me if I am to buy that then i have to take 3 tablets a day.
Another store - GNC brand have recommended Salmon Oil.
Its all so confusing...hmmm.
i guess end of the day i just need to get fish oil in me...but i don't want the odour/burping thing to go with it...doesn't help when u're a vego.
They also recommended flaxseed oil...
Thanks My3boyz and Heather for the info on the Indian Tonic Water.
Heather it's a good thing that you are monitoring your sugar levels yourself....you will know when you are off track slightly. I hope the dietician can shed some light on what you are allowed to eat so you have a healthy pregnancy.
Bubbs like you I love feeling all the movements inside me with baby....it's selfish but I consider it my time with him even though DH and the kids get to feel him and see him move too, it's not the same. I will miss it dearly. Baking.....I have always baked...my nana was a baker so I have fond memories of a childhood spent helping her or eating her yummy morsels. I am actually a bit of an 'old fashioned' mama, I love to craft, sew, knit, cook. That is the upside of being blessed with being able to be a SAHM. Each to their own....I wouldn't have it any other way
NM how did you get on with your scan today?
Well I ended up doing a whole heap of baking today....choc brownies, banana loaf, caramel slice and some muffins. It never lasts long in this house with DH and the kids taking them for morning/afternoon tea....I also like to have treats on hand for when guests pop in. DS14 wants to cook dinner tonight so it's tuna morney :D
Meliko - Glad they are managing to stop labour and i hope bubby b catches up soon. :hugs: to you.
NM - Waiting for your confirmation, hope all went well today.
DM - I read the posts last night but was too tired to post myself. I read about your leg cramp and would you believe i went all out in sympathy for you last night at 11pm and woke up with the worst leg cramp. I haven't had any for weeks!
Bubbs - There were only a few things DH wanted a say in otherwise i got what i wanted for everything. He actually kept saying, you'll be home or you'll be the one using it. Keep at your DH and explain you'll be the one who has to lug it around and you'll get what pram you want. I love the moving too especially late at night though lately during the day she's been really low so not really comfortable.
Maori - I can't wait til i can be at hme and start properly cooking and baking again. I used to cook so much when we lived in Sydney only 30 mins from work but commuting makes it hard and add pregnancy fatigue and its non existant.
Now i forget who's who but
Heather - I can't wait to leave work. Planning to stay til mid Nov so only 8 weeks or so left.
My3boys - Are you the one getting BH's? My friend tried to explain it to me but i also wonder if i will know what they are if they happen.
Hey question for you all. Seeing as i have to have bubs early (35/36 weeks) due to placenta praevia and if i start to bleed and they can't stop it, maybe earlier, do you think having my antenatal classes at 32 and 33 weeks is too late. We booked them in when i was still due NYE so plenty of time but now my Baby shower is 31 weeks and DH is worried we might miss out on them all. Should i bring the classes forward or leave them and it will be fresh in our minds?
Otherwise all going well here. Using crutches at home. Painkillers are helping keep pain at manageable level and work is being so understanding with it all so no stress there.
Hi IBB....Babe i reckon you would be safe to leave your dates, funny but i never went for those classes once and labour just came natural.I think as we get closer to the end we all are panicing a bit:yes:just go with the flo.So glad the pain has eased up for you a bit now.
Hi Maorimama....:laughing:you done heaps of baking, your family is very lucky having a "old fashion" mumma.
Hi Heather.....Yeh i have the same amount of pricking to do:rolleyes:shhhhh but some days im so busy i forget to do it.I was told basically to cut out sugar including fruit and cut down on white carbs.Easy said then done! i have cut down on my sugar but not on anything else.Dam i miss the real chocolate.
Hi Bubbs....I feel the same im really going to miss being pregnant and something tells me i want 2 more kids:p so if hubby is ok with it i might go back after 6/12 months. As for the fish oil i have it in my vitamins already so i figure thats enough,im already taking so much pills shoot talking about pills i forgot to take mine this morning EEK.
Ladies i had spent the day with my DD and we went shopping again she bought heaps of house stuff ready to move in 2 weeks time. Her hubby id flying home tommorro coz he twisted his ankel so now he needs a xray,my DD is over the moon with happiness.
Dearmum - hilarious how ur DD is over the moon that her DH is coming back...that too with a twisted ankle. I hope he's ok though. So glad to hear that DD is excited...am happy for her..
My pill has fish oils in it too but they say to have teh extra...yeah even i can't handle taking too many pills.
Ibb - Glad to hear that the crutches are helping u out...
I feel the same at times with both my babies...i feel one side really moving alot and the other quiet, then i feel them both move, then they'll both stop...goes through phases but its such a lovely feeling.
As for antenatal classes...even we were worried about the classes doing it at 30/31/32 weeks but i thought doesn't matter...i'll be at home anyway so will try to relax and lye down as much as possible so can avoid premature labour...higher risk with twins on board.
I think u should be ok...although are u able to change the dates? maybe check with ur hospital????
Maorimama - I love cooking myself..my mums a great cook and have been bought up being exposed to the kitchen with baking, roasting etc...so even I am looking forward to being a SAHM for the rest of the year and getting my hands into baking and what not...It gives me inner peace...
I just don't do it now as working and getting home at 6pm tires me out. I get dinner prepaired and thats good enuff for me at this stage. :o
But looking forward to when am at home in 4 weeks time. :smiliedance:
Hope the rest of u are doing ok...
AFM - Doing well...feeling very tired walking from the station to my work - 5 minutes walk and before that walk from my place to station - about 10 minutes walk...drains me out.
Bubbs are sucking the energy from me. hee hee
Not much to report...have the baby show on saturday...am really looking forward to it...hopefully we get some freebies and are able to make up our minds on prams. :p
:smiliedance:Im off to have my scan again today YAY!!!
Im hoping my bubbas are around 3 pounds now, funny but i still get very nervous before my scans thinking what if something went wrong with one of them.
Hi Bubbs.....I would love to go to a baby show but they dont seem to come to Perth.Your going to go crazy there:D
Babe with your ticker have you based yours on 40 weeks? does your doc concider twins full time at 36 weeks? yeh mine have told me 36 weeks is full term with twins, but i know in America they let mothers go until 40 weeks.
Hows everyone today??
good morning lovely ladies
spring is in the air, the sun is shining and that makes me happy .. oh yeah, the babies in my belly are adding to that happiness also :flowerz:
MM - you are my kinda Mum ... baking and nurturing your precious children, you are truly a sweetheart ... as for the baking, my DH would LOVE for me to be more of a baker .. I love to cook .. but cook for savory foods as I dont really have a sweet tooth .. I do make him muffins and cup cakes .. there is nothing like the smell of fresh baked foods in the kitchen ...
bubbs - when do you start your antenatal classes ? We start tomorrow night - the next class at our hospital finished too late and the midwife wanted us done and ready in plenty of time in case bubbs come early .. BTW, I used to take flaxseed oil, it is horrid stuff ! you really need to mix it with something, it is just like taking a shot of oil .. eeeeeewwwwww
ibb - what a relief that the pain is under control ... thank goodness work is understanding, last thing you need is extra stress. Have they said how long after birth will you be back to normal .. as in your back/hips ?
heather - good luck with the diabetic clinic ... and with your antenatal appt today ... hope you get to see bubbs ... :yelclap:
my3 - for sure, will check at my 28 week appt ... given we have no set plan he may want me to wait til quite late before starting anything like that ... we just want to get to 36 weeks and then take it day by day .. I will be cranky if I go 40 weeks .. I just want my babies
NoahMum - ummmm., where are you ?? you normally do a post in the morning and we haven't had confirmation of that precious girl ... hope to hear from you soon ...
JCR - how you doing Hon, haven't heard from you lately ... hoping all is well with you ...
 Kimmy ... Sarbear ... and anyone else I have missed ...
AFM - nothing to report .. LOVING my belly ... will post some photos as soon as my DH down loads them from his camera ... Telstra should move our line today and we can start our nursery on the weekend YAY .. believe it or not, thinking of changing my Pram .. they guy must think I am a right royal pain in the ar*e  .. might upgrade to the Classic, mainly for the big tyres - does anyone have a view or preference on little wheels vs big wheels .. it is my only sticking point ..
Have a great day ladies .. :hugs:
my darling Dearmum - I thought I had said hi to you .. but only in my brain  hello Hon ... glad your DD is happy to be getting her DH home ... enjoy seeing those precious bubbs today ... hope that little girl is nice and strong .. have you thought of any names yet ???
DM- I have my scan today as well:yelclap: Goodluck with yours..
jojo- your pram habbit is like my shopping habit:laughing: no hope for either of us..
bubbs- bet you can't wait to finish work, walking to the letter box is enough for me at the moment. I hope you have a nice baby shower, I didn't have one for any of my kids.
ibb- glad your pain is under control..
ATM, I keep waking up with swolen hands and feet to the stage I can't stop scratching them, they are just so itchy.. Catching up with the house this morning only have to vaccuum and hang some washing out, then I will get ready to go out.. scan at 3pm, I really can't wait..
I'll catch up when I get home ladies.
Nah i have put names out of my brain coz each time i say to my DH i like this and that he makes fun of it:banghead:im thinking though its between Mirza and Shiron for a boy and Jayda and Amilea for a girl so time will tell. How about you?
Babe will your doc let you go over 36 weeks? mine wont they will bring you on at 36 weeks coz thats full term for twinnies:confused:
Hmmmm have fun on the weekend decorating da nursery its one of the best parts of having babies.Oh with big vs small wheels well i prefere small because with those big wheels they are very heavy prams and me being me i dont need big wheels coz im not going to take the pram in sand,i only need the pram for pushing around at the shops and walking around the block. Those babies also grow so quick so knowing me i will sooner or later end up with a umberella stroller coz there super light and easy:D
Hi Kimmy....Haha we were posting at the same time!
Babe enjoy your scan today mines at 9am so i better hurry up i guess.
Yeh this time around was the first time having a baby shower also,i guess its just about getting your friends together for a good yap,it will be my last though.
dearmum - I love your names .. they are different but strong boys names and sweet girls names ... yep, my OB is happy for me to go to 37 weeks .. but said it is unlikely we would go further .. either cause bubbas would be ready to come or I would be so over it and so big it would be better to bring them .... he has said some women happily go to 40 weeks .. hopefuly not me  in my mind I am going to 36 weeks .. that is the date I tell everyone when they ask when I am due .. problem is that will be 1 Jan 10 - HAPPY NEW YEAR .. no drinking and celebrations for my DH  .. actually, I should update my ticker .. that date is based on 40 weeks .. it is exciting to think only 15 and a bit weeks till I meet my precious peaches ... :yelclap:
I also keep forgetting to tell you - at my last scan and OB appt - they checked my cervix and no issues ... so hope it stays that way. Hope you get an answer from your OB re: your stitch .. timing of that is key ...
Dearmum & Jojo - IN answer to ur question...my obs wants me to get to 35 weeks without any hassle and would absolutely love for me to get to 37 weeks...by 38 weeks she said she will induce me if i am to have natural.
There is no way she will let me go to 40 and i personally don't want to either...i want my babies to be out...and I don't want them at 37/38 weeks either - xmas babies..no no.
I am also guessing/hoping at 36, possibly 37 weeks for me...which is the second week of december.
My ticker shows my full 40 weeks...i think i should change that too so that i don't mislead anyone...but if that is the case...then only 12 weeks to go. :smiliedance: :yelclap:
Jojo - welcome to my world of pram shopping.
it simply is never ending...DH is over me changing my mind. The Maclaren that we are looking at is more of a stroller than a pram which will do us good in the long run. We have thought that we are hardly going to use it in the first initial months...only to the shops or so and same reason as dearmum - it'll get too heavy with bigger wheels to carry around. Although I don't mind the big wheels but looking at it practically, in the long run with two babies weighing 9kg each and then my shopping bag, their nappy bag...don't want to make it too heavy.
I am still undecided on the Maclaren though...the past one week I've seen alot of Maclarens around..but single prams that ppl have used...seems to be good so its giving me some light at the end of the tunnel.
I have been told to make my decision by end of this week after the baby show. :dizzy:
Dearmum - Goodluck with ur scan today...i hope ur little babies are thriving in there and all is looking well. Looking forward to hearing some good results from u.
I know scans make me nervous too...
Also love the names of ur little babies...i need to think of names too but we're having a hard time..we want something thats easy yet traditional...
My cervix is fairly normal too according to my 19 week scan...my next scan is at 28 weeks on 14th Oct...which is the growth scan so hopefully all is goign well according to the dates. :fingerscrossed:
Kimmy - U bet i can't wait to finish work. my baby shower isn't till Oct..so still a while away.
Goodluck with ur scan today...i hope that Dylan is doing well...can't wait to hear back from u.
Noah'smum - Where are u hun? haven't heard from u at all...which is very unusual...hope u're doing ok.
how did the scan go??
jojo - Oops forget to answer ur question...we start our antenatal classes on 31st Oct & 7th Nov but its only for 2 saturdays from 9am to 1pm. I will be 30/31 weeks then.
Bubbs - have fun at the baby show .. no doubt there will be loads of cool stuff for you to check out and I am sure it will confuse you even more about what Pram to go with .. .. can't wait to hear the recap .. I have updated my ticker just now to 36 weeks - suddenly I dont have to wait so long to see my precious peaches :smiliedance:
jojo - i copied u and changed my ticker too..i agree it doesnt seem that long now...:smiliedance: :yelclap:
Sorry girls just a quick one today i am trying to eat lunch read and reply so i can have a nap before i have to go to work. my scan yesterday to check bubs gender went well, as soon as be put the thingy on my belly you could see her little bum and 3 little lines, def a girl well the guy said i don't go off the 3 lines if there is no willy and testies in sight then it's a girl, there was no willy... just before i went into my scan I got called into work yesterday to start at 5pm worked until 11pm, i was stuffed by the time i got home my whole body was aching. I am working tonight another 6hrs except i get to work from 4pm to 10pm i'm helping my boss out as she has hurt herself. I just hope i get to sleep tonight since i only had about an hours sleep.. Anyways DS is at preschool today and i just got back from ikea very annoyed as i couldn't get 2 of the main things i went there for but managed to get a toy box and rugs for bubs room.. Oh took DS back to the doctors and he is off to the skin specialist on Friday.
Girls gotta run i really need some sleep as i didn't sleep last night i will try and catch up on everything tomorrow morning..
that is great news NM ... little girl confirmed :yelclap: take care of yourself at work ... enjoy your sleep ...
NM - :yelclap: so it is a girl..how exciting...One of each. Completes the family.
Take it easy on urself hun...don't over do it with work...i can only imagine how sore you must have been...take care.
Well not long got home from scan & doc appt.
:gloomy:I may have some bad news one of my babies placenta doesnt seem to be working well coz there wasnt much water in there so i need to have another scan on Tuesday and if its the same they will bring on the labour:no:i feel so disapointed and the worry never ends.On a good note my babies both are a healthy singleton weight girl(3.6 pounds) boy(3.9 pounds) i did ask the question of if they do come out next week will they be ok??? and the doc said they have the same chance as a normal 40 weeker but the only down side will be they will need to stay at hospital for a couple of months:(i dont think i can handle leaving them there ahhh getting chocked up talking about it all.I did ask about my stitch and he said they take it out around 36 weeks.Hubby has told me to drink heaps but my doc told me its got nothing to do with how much we drink so i dont know.Im also worried what if theres a problem from now until Tuesday...what if my bubba dies:crying:god im worried sick.
Hi NM.....Babe im so happy for you,now you can celebrate that baby girl.Have a good sleep.
Hi Bubbs.....Yeh the hardest part is thinking about names and having DH agree with you.My hubby is still not talking about names with me,he is trying to forget about the babies i think he doesnt want to put his hopes up because of what happened last yr.
Hi Jojo....So glad to hear your cervix is normal, just ask them to check it every now and then.Haha you girls are funny it really does seem better having the ticker at 36 weeks hey,and most proberly you will only get that far anyway.
Hi Kimmy.....Babe how did your scan go today?
BIG :hugs: for you dearmum ... but on the positive they are both good weights and it is great your little girl has nearly caught up ... hoping you scan next week reveals and improvement you can keep your bubbas growing in your belly a bit longer ... take care sweet xo
Girls I just have to share this, found it by accident:
hi Jetgirl - yep they are fantastic, you can buy them from bras n things and I think Big W and Kmart ... they are a worthwhile investment for sure ..
DM - Just wanted to send you some :hugs::hugs:
I can imagine your worried sick but they wouldn't have let you go home if it was so dangerously low and also 3.6lb, that’s a great weight at this stage so the placenta's doing something right! Good luck for Tuesday, just try and rest as much as you can until then and hopefully the amount of fluid will rise and you can keep those bubbas cosy for another few weeks.
Ibb for peace of mind you could bring your antenatal class dates forward. With our first we had planned on going from 34wks but I was in hospital at 28wks until I had him at 36-37wks so missed out all together. Just a quick ? about your pain....when I walk more than a couple of minutes it feels like my pelvic area is grinding...did you get that?
Dearmum  what a worry. On a good note your daughter has really caught up and seems to be doing as well as her brother. I think if your Dr was really worried he would of admitted you then and there. Try and get lots of rest hon and keep positive....either way regardless of what happens you are in great hands and your babies have made it this far.
Feeling quite achy today....my youngest two had their school sports carnival and as DH had to start work early I walked to and from and am paying for it now....but no way was I going to miss it. I'll catch up on personals tomorrow once I have had the chance to rest up :flowerz:
Dearmum Im sure everything will be fine. Those babies are doing great! Try to relax honey and keep us posted.
Dearmum - :hugs: to you. I am sure everything is going to be ok. The drs would not have let you go if it was extremely serious knowing your history.
Also when you say there wasn't alot of water, do you mean fluid? If so my DH's best friend's wife had same problem with one baby, she ended up on daily apmts the last 6 weeks of her pregnancy because all her amniotic fluid leaked except for 30 mls which hovered around baby's mouth which kept her alive.
The only downside to losing this fluid was she felt everything without padding which was uncomfortable and her baby had hip displasia when born because it couldn't really move much but she is a perfectly healthy nearly 2 year old now.
Maorimama - Not good to hear you are still in pain. I am finding the brace is helping with the grinding feeling. It corsets the bones together. Maybe look into getting one. I wear it under my clothes and for the most part you can't tell its there. One thing i was told is you cannot exercise through this. So keep the walks to a minimum or rest after one as the movement aggravates it.
AFM - I am taking today off. I was told to rest when i felt my pain levels increase above normal with painkillers and yesterday avo was achy and very uncomfortable on train home and last night ice pack didn't really help. Resting today and hoping all ok to go to work tomorrow. I am seriously thinking of arranging to have Wed's off so its 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 2 days off and i think i will manage that better.
Thanks for the advice re antenatal classes. I have an apmt 29th Sept to see ob and bubs again so hopefully will get approx size of what they think bubs will be as well as when they think they will do c/s and i guess i will go from there.
DM- I feel your pain..
I'm on my way to hospital.. I have had a bleed, I also keep wetting myself and Dylan is really quiet..
I'm so trying not to freak out, not happening.
Going to shower now DH on way home to take me.
Scan yester was great all was good..
PLease be ok little man..
Kl4tp -Hope everything is ok. Let us know when you can. Thinking of you:hugs:
Bubbs - Thanks, my family was complete regardless of the sex of this bubba. I would love to have more kids but i couldn't handle loosing anymore babies
DM - I can't imagine how worried you must be right now, I hope your scan reveals good news for you. Your DD sounds like she has caught up!
Ibb - I hope you get plenty of rest today, sounds like a good idea if you can have wednesday's off
Kimmy - I hope everything is ok, please keep us updated.. Thinking of you
Not much happening here bubs has been very quite since i have been working the last 2 nights, i have a midwife appt today so really looking forward to hearing bubs heart beat!
Oh no...coming in this morning to read all these negative posts...lots of :hugs: :hugs: to Kimmy & Dearmum.
Dearmum - Take it easy hun. I agree with what others have said...they wouldn't have let you go home if it was that serious. I am sure whatever decisions ur dr's are going to make will be a good decision...and ur baby girl has done so well...good on her. Shows that she is thriving in there... :hugs:
Kimmy - Oh hun...please let us know how it all goes...i hope it was nothing serious and dylans just having a snooze...take it easy munchkin. :hugs:
Ibb - I think that sounds like a great idea of taking off on wednesday so that u can have some rest time too...maybe this pregnancy is taking its toll on ur body...so its best to rest it out hun.
Maorimama - U too try to rest today after ur walking yesterday...keep that feet up.
AFM - Am feeling good...getting very exhausted when i am climbing stairs or hills but other then that doing ok...
Just waiting for the days to hurry up and fly by...
I've changed my ticker as well to 36weeks. :D
sounds exciting...not long to go if i look at my ticker...i can look at it all day. :p
What a night....i had a back ache and thought ok there we go but luckily it eased off and i took myself to bed.Talk about being sore these days when i twist from left to right its like im moving but my body aint like i need oiling.I got about 2hrs sleep coz i kept worring about my boy,and my DDs dream hasnt helped she dreamt i only ended up with a girl her dream was the other day when she seen me:eek:i told her about yesterday and she said OMG mum my dream.Anyway im going to some sort of doctor today just to check there heart beats. Then off to the diabettes clinic:rolleyes:
Hi Kimmy.....Shoot :hugs:it doesnt sound good,i hope its just false labour.I will be popping in again later.
Hi Ibb....Babe yeh i meant my fluid, gosh i wish my docs were giving me daily appts it would ease my mind that way but me being in a public system i have no say.
Rest up your body needs it.
Hi NM.....I hope bubbs is ok,yeh im having the same worry my boy dont seem active at all:crying:
Hi Bubbs....Babe having twins you sure do get out of breath quick just do everything slow ok.
Ladies my little girl is facing head down now and they said she must have been a normal size all along but because of the way she was lying they couldnt measure right GRRR.Im happy she is head down coz now im allowed a natural birth and with the boy they will go in and pull his legs down ouch.Epidural all the way!
dearmum: :iagree: with what all the others have said. The doc would not have let you go home if he didn't think that it was OK. Do keep on drinking heaps of water as amniotic fluid replenishes itself. Just remember that both bubs are doing well and almost the same size  Good luck with your visit to the diabetes clinic today.
Kimmy: :hugs: Hope everything is well with Dylan and they can tell you why you are bleeding. Please let us know how things go.
ibb: Hope your pain levels go down :hugs:. I think it is a great idea to have Wed off as it will allow you to rest up in the middle of the week. Has your OB done another scan to see if the placenta has moved up at all? Mine was sitting right next to the cervix and has now moved away from it by about 4 cm. Its just a thought, although I didn't have full placenta previa i would have had to have a CS if it didn't move.
NM: So glad that your bubba has been confirmed as a little girl. Its nice to see more girls on this thread and this way you don't have to exchange all your pink things for blue :D
Mrs Mermaid: How are you doing? Not long now till your morph scan. You must be getting so excited!!!
bubbs: LOL about your ticker! I guess things are getting tiring with you carrying twins. Just try to rest up as much as possible and don't overdo things.
Moarimama: I hope that you are feeling better today after resting last night. All that walking to and from your kiddies sports carnival must have really taken its toll. I get puffed just from walking up a hill during lunch time at work....I am so out of shape!
jojo: How's it all going?
Eve: Nice to hear form you. How's the pregnancy going?
AFM: Feeling very hot at the moment and its only 10am. Its going to be another scorcher in Syd today with tops of around 30 to 32 degrees. I am so glad I wore a thin material maternity dress today. Don't think I could stand being in long pants!
Kimmy ... good luck with checking out Dylan, hope all is ok hon .. make sure you let us know how you go ... :hugs: take care and sending you lots of :goodvibes:
dearmum - hoping you are not stressing too much .. good luck at the diabetic clinic today
bubbs - 36 weeks - :smiliedance: makes our bubbs come sooner ... carrying all that extra bay weight will surely take it out of you ... I have just moved my office upstairs and have been going up and down about 20 times a day .. giving my legs & butt a workout !
ibb - glad to hear you are getting things under control and taking time off as needed ... lucky your work is understanding ... when do you plan to finish up work ?
nm - have fun at your appt .. hope you get to hear that heartbeat ... how is Noah's skin .. hopeully getting better ..
mm - that grinding pain doesn't not sound enjoyable at all ... maybe you should go get yourself checked out and get one of the braces that IBB is referring too ....
AFM - well after days of dealing with Telstra we finally gave them the flick and relocated our line ourselves - they are seriously incompetant. so now my office is upstairs and the nursery is nearly empty. Getting the carpets cleaned and then the fun starts ... hope to have my basinnettes up on the weekend .. and that is it - haven't got the rest of the furniture yet  .. doubt DH will have time to get it for my on the weekend .. lets see ... babies are well ... finding it very hard to get comfy at night and sleep seems like a distant memory ..
have a good day ladies ... will pop in and see how you are tracking Kimmy .. hope all is well :hugs:
Hi again Ladies.
I'm back and i'm exhausted. I've had a real nice show but my cervix is closed so I now have to take it easy they don't think I will make 5 weeks, but I need a few more other wise i will visit Meliko in Hobart. Dylan seems fine but he has dropped heaps, just quiet.
Thanks for the well wished, i'm going to bed now as I'm stuffed.. No more vaccuuming for me, for a few weeks (bummer)
Does anyone know the avarage time one goes into labour after a show.. Doc said anything can happen in a week or so..
Thnaks again Ladies
kimmy: So glad that everything is fine. Dylan must have slowed down as he senses that its getting nearer to the birth. I heard that labour can take up to 2 weeks after a show (please correct me someone if I am wrong). With DS I had a show 9 days before I had him. In the end I didn't go into labour naturally and had to be induced with the drip as my waters had broken and nothing happened for over 36 hours.
Looks like it is all happening for you at the moment with teh braxton hicks and now your show. Hopefully Dylan will stay in there a little longer so that he can do a bit more growing. In the mean time, please take it easy. No more cleaning or over doing it. Your body is telling you to rest up and you will need it before Dylan comes :hugs:
Wow ladies so many of you being monitored at the moment. You guys sure are keeping things exciting for those of us in the peanut gallery
Take care and I will keep checking for updates and wish you all the best of luck.
hey Kimmy - glad to hear all is well and that you have taken yourself off to bed - I hope you stay put, rest up and take care of yourself ... :hugs:someone needs to remove the vacuum cleaner, remove the temptation for you
Kimmy - We told u to steer away from all that cleaning :shame:
but am glad to hear that Dylan is doing fine and is feeling a little lazy and quiet...take it as a good sign that hopefully he stays quiet when he joins u ....a placid baby.
I wouldn't have a clue about how labour would start if u showed...but all u have to do now is rest and take it easy :chillpill:. MOthers orders :) :hugs:
Jojo - Wow u surely are getting a good workout...but be careful on those stairs too...don't go rushing up or down.
When u get to about 24 weeks...u'll notice how much of a chore it will be to climb those stairs...i really feel it now.
My3boys - Yeah i agree its going to be really hot in sydney...I think wearing the lightest clothes is the way to go..especially when preggers.
Dearmum - :yelclap: for little princess facing down...thats great. I hope that it does happen naturally for u hun. :hugs: and take it easy please...the stress will not help at all...try to rest up as much as possible and don't look too much into the dream.
Kimmy what a relief to hear that you and Dylan are okay....I had an antepartum bleed with DD just after they induced me, I didn't realise how serious it was until after her birth when they explained that the placent had started to seperate. Luckily she came within the hour. Sounds like it's all systems go with you, how exciting :yelclap:.
Dearmum how clever is your little girl getting into the head down position. Hope you are getting lots of rest.
Ibb I have raised my pain with my Dr a few times now and keep getting the same answer of it's just normal....but I know it's not. Can I go to a physiotherapist myself or do I need a referral...not too sure how it works here. I think it's a great idea to take a break midweek to give yourself time to rest up....I hope your employer comes through for you.
My3boyz.....I would love some of the :sunshine: you are having in Sydney atm....it's so overcast and chilly here in Perth.
Bubbs you are now due before me :D. How wonderful to have your babies before xmas...such a lovely present for both you and DH.
Jojo I think once you get the bassinets up you will want to get the rest of the nursery finished...have fun decorating.
Well feeling better today....just can't be on my feet for too long. As I mentioned to Ibb, my Dr keeps telling me the pain I am having is just normal pregnancy pains....I don't really know what to do, can I just go to a physiotherapist myself? I need some kind of support cause with a family it's unrealistic for me to not move around much. We have another appt on Monday so I think I'll raise it again and see how far I get.
:smiliedance:it's almost the weekend...what to do???
Well what a morning i called the Skin clinic and managed to get DS in today apparently his ezcema can be caused by a insect bite it has nothign to do with food, soap powder etc. The poor specialist was trying to explain it all to me but DS was throwing the biggest trantrum he has never acted like that before, it went on for 15mins. Thankfully the chemist re explained it all to me i have antibiotics and special cream for him $50 later it better work!
DM - As i read your post my little miss is giving me little flutters. That's great news about your little girl.. Good luck with your appt today
My3 - Yeah i'm still so surprised it's a girl!
Jojo - Don't get me started on Telstra i hate them! How exciting putting your bassinetts up
Kimmy - Glad to hear you & Dylan are ok.. After having a show you can go into labour very soon the next day or it could be a week or 2 away.
This little bubba of mine is being a bugger already i am having problems with my siatic nerve, just wonderful i had it very badly with DS but later in the pregnancy. She is still so small but it's giving me so much pain
Just a quick one. Was wanting to check how KL4tp went.
Kimmy glad everything is Aok for you. You just need to take it very easy now but no reclining. My friend used to come over in her last 2 weeks and sit on my recliner lounge and she was in labour for 3 days on and off til the 4th time they kept it going. Her doula this time told her it was because of the reclining. The baby was in the right position head down but everytime she reclined, she sat in a position which made the baby move again.
Maorimama - You should be able to ring any physio in your area. Just ask them if they work with pregnancy and are confident as you do have to be careful. I was seeing a physio from 8 weeks for my butt pain but he was a normal one, the hospital recommended this one to me. Just ring your local hosp or where you will give birth at and ask them if they can recommend anyone. If you have PHI, you get money back too.
ok this is my 3rd attempt to reply.
kimmy i hope dylan stays put for a little while longer.
dearmum sorry to hear about your baby boys placental problems i hope he is ok.
it is good to hear that if your babies are delivered now they have a good chance of survival.
as for the gd i am missing cakes.
jojo great to hear you rellocated the phone line yourselves after telstra stuffing you around. now you can focus on the nursery.
ibb sorry to hear that you are still in a fair bit of pain. will it only get worse the bigger you get?
noahsmum sorry to hear of the siatic pain. i get it sometimes usually if i enter or leave the car incorrectly. hope noahs cream works on his eczma.
my3boyz i hear you about the heat, i barely coped last week with 2 days of 28-29 degree heat. i dont own any skirts, dresses or short pants so i may have to invest in a couple with the heat just around the corner.
maorimama have u tried the indian tonic water yet?
hello to everyone else.
afm had my antenatal appt. yesterday, i was waiting for 40mins for a 5 min appt. fundal height all good, heartbeat 140bpm roughly and everything else good.
go back in 2 weeks time.
i have my dietian appt tomorrow.
having a busy week this week, yesterday i went to work then went to bank and paid rent then went shopping and got strips to test my glucose levels. i then got home and put shopping away and had a quick bite to eat then i spilt sugar free creaming soda all over myself and the floor so i had to clean it and have a shower.
dh then came home to pick me up to get a get well present for our goddaughter who was sick in hospital so we just dropped it off at the hosptial so we wouldnt get sick. after that it was too late for me to be bothered cooking dinner so we got chinese even though i shouldnt be eating it. i knew it would send my glucose levels up and sure enough when i did the test it did.
anyone getting/got colostrum?? i do but only if i squeeze my nipple area.
does anyone know much about fifths above brim???
at yesterdays appt i was 4/5 but at the appt 3 weeks ago i was 5/5. i googled it and it said something about the babys head engaging or something.
enough rambling from me.
Out of respect Im going dramaticly slow down my posting till BH works out how us Pregnant through IVF'rs fit in.
A thread/poll asking if 'Pregnant through IVF threads' upset other's IVF TTC members is being run.
I know I found it inspirational and essential to see pregnancy threads in the IVF section tosee that it can work before I got a bfp.
Im not comfortable posting in the normal pregnancy area as I feel that because we tend to worry more they may not understand.
However I really dont want to upset even one person TTC.
You can contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org (email@example.com)
NM how frustrating for you but at least you may have an answer for Noah's ezcema....I hope it clears soon.
Ibb thanks for that advice, I'll give the hospital a call and see how I get on.
Mrs M I read that thread and can totally see both sides of the equation....personally I think the ivf girls who are successful in achieving their BFP need their own pregnancy threads as we go through so much to get that long awaited BFP and it's a comfort being able to share that journey with others who have walked the path too but I can see how it would be upsetting to some women who have been TTC for years with no success. I tried posting in the first ivf pregnancy thread but it wasn't the same as I didn't cycle with those ladies even though I did know a few of them. I would be lost without my BH ivf mummies to be on this particular thread.
Mrs Mermaid - I feel the same way as Maorimama. I like this thread because i shared alot of my experiences of what i went through with all these ladies.
I've tried gelling in the other threads but don't feel as connected...IYKWIM...
Bubba is really kicking the living day lights out of my cervix/bladder or something down there and its sending me jolts of pain/movement...can't for the life of me figure out why today am getting kicks there...and its more frequent.
Mrs M - I have not seen the poll you are referring too, but now I want to find it and see both sides .. it surely can be heart breaking when you are trying for your BFP and see other peoples success .. no doubt we have all been there ... with our friends falling pregnant around us year after year after year ... like MM said, I would be lost and very confused without my BH friends ... and I couldn't imagine going through this pregnancy without them. I truly hope that offends noone, espeically others TTC
sorry girls haven't read posts but had something to announce
Meliko's Triplets were born today at 3.27. Baby A is 2p 10z, baby C is 3p 4oz. However she lost baby B. Mum and babies are doing well.
I have congratulated Meliko on the birth of babies A & C and told her our thoughts are with her.
I know you girls will all be thinking the same thing, i will pass on all your messages to her but for now i just want to leave her for a few days. I hope that's ok with you all?
:hugs: Meliko Im so sorry about your little one. Im sure your a mix of highs and low's at the moment. We will all be around to listen and share your happiness and sadness. :hugs:
Have to read through all the posts, have had no internet at home for a few days:(! B****Y TPG!
But OMG I just saw the post re Meliko I am so happy to hear that her bubbas are here, but very sadden to hear she lost one, RIP little bubba .....I do hope the other 2 are going to be fine, how many weeks would have Meliko been? 31 Weeks???
Kimmy - I hope all is well also with you and Dylan, and he stays put just a little longer, we are getting so close now.....
Will post more later once I catch up on the rest of the news...
Oh Meliko, My heart breaks for you and your DH. I am so sorry about the loss of baby B.
Congratulations on Baby A & C. I hope you take the time you need to get to grips with this and we'll be waiting here to support you with anything you need.
Good Morning girls, yesterday i had a midwife scan i was there for ages the lady who i seen for my 1st appt didn't fill any of my important information out so i was there for ages. Got to hear bubs HB was a little worried as she couldn't find a HB for a few minutes but it was because bubs was moving around alot. This bubs main movements feel so different compared to DS movements oh well.. I need to start counting my 10 a day.. Oh yeah i'm half way! i'm right in the middle so half way in between Thursdays and Fridays LOL
GRRR i couldnt log on last night coz my net was playing up.
I was at the hospital all day firstly i had my diabetes appt and was just told to stay away from macas:laughing:ok i will try. Then i was off the see if someone could check the babies HB,so they did anyway they put me on this monitoring machine for 20 mins and it came back with baby girl not having a good read so they repeated it all yeh another b****y 20 mins and still the same so off i went for a scan and turns out it was the way she was lying they couldnt get a good read but she is ok and her blood flo is still good PHEW! the down side is there still isnt much fluid so come Tuesday i need to come back and have a scan and if its the same they will bring on the labour. The head doc there was asking me if i had the steriod injections yet and i said no so it looks like thats whats happening on Tuesday.
Oh while on the chair getting monitored for 20 mins i fainted im guessing its because of the way i had been lying and no drink all day:o
Hi Kimmy....Babe im happy its not on yet, babe it looks like its either you or me next though.Hmm i never had any bleeding before labour it was just water breaking and bummm full on contractions.
Hi Meliko....:hugs:Babe this is for you & your DH.I wish i was there to give you a big hug.I pray everything will go smoothly for baby A & C.Missing you heaps on bubhub.
Hi NM....Lucky you getting to have a nice long scan again, thankfully they found her HB.
Hi to the rest of you lovely ladies:wave:
Meliko - :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: Hun I am so so so so sorry to hear about baby B . I cannot imagine what you must be feeling right now.
I hope baby's A & C are doing extremely well. My best wishes are with you and ur hubby to get through this tough challenging time. Ur family are in my prayers. :hugs:
Dearmum - Glad to hear that both babies are doing well. Did u go to ur obs or ur local doctor? I've been itching to get a scan done myself on my babies...just feeling the need to at the moment. dunno why but for my own peace of mind and sanity.
NM - i agree..even i need to start counting how many movements i feel a day...but with two its so hard...i don't which is where at the moment...confusing.
I don't actually have much to write...am just tempted to get a scan done...thinking if i can book one in from somewhere or get my doctor to send a referal...hmmm.
dunno...i just want a scan done to see that my babies are ok.
Hi Bubbs....I went back to the hospital and seen the midwives there,if you want a scan just get a referal from any doc and book it in.I know its a scary time and now having Melikos bubba die it scares me more:no:ya just dont know whats going to happen with premmies.
Meliko-:hugs::hugs: I'm so sorry about baby B:angel: I'm thinking of you, DH and babes AC. I also wish I was there to give you big cuddles.
Mrs M- Yes it is hard to read about BFP when you are TTC, but I found reading other ladies success made that trip more achiveable, myself I could stand being without my BH friends and see how they are doing.. We did the whole getting our BFP togeather, why not share it with you also.
DM- NO MACCAS.. my lord I love my frozen coke, I will not stay away. Honey I still think you will go before me:yes: Dylan will make sure he stays put for my 4.6 days till they induce me.
Bubbs- IS one of your babies breech?? When Dylan was he always kicked my bladder and to the stage that he made me dribble once:o. I can understand why you want another scan.
NM- I really don't like it when our bubbs hide and they can't find the heartbeat straight away, I had that happen yesterday.
Hi To you other wonderful ladies.
Me- I'm still spotting a little, so i'm just taking it easy.. but I see so much that needs to be done, I was going to go shopping today to get the last few things for my bag just incase.. BUT my darling DH took both keys to the cars, I have DS car in an emergency, but it would need to be that for me to drive it.
I burst into tears for Meliko when I red her news, that could of been me yesterday. I held it togeather really well till I walked into the hospital and seen a lady standing there with her baby, lost it a little then.. So bubbs it will be completely normall to wanna be checked out. I'm going to try and not worry, I'm not allowed stress but it is harder said than done.
Take care ladies, I'm going to put some washing on, but I wont vaccuum.
my dearest Meliko - no words to express my deepest sympathies to you and DH and Baby B - will always be remembered.
but ... major congrats to you both on the arrival of Baby A and Baby C ... hoping you are all doing well and look forward to hearing progress reports.
Thinking of you and DH at this time :hugs:
Take care my sweet ..
Gosh what a way to start the day...Meliko's news is just so heartbreaking, DH asked what's wrong cause I couldn't stop the tears.
Meliko :hugs: :hugs:for you, DH and babies A and C. I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of baby B. I hope babies A and C grow from strength to strength. Thinking of you honey.
Dearmum what a huge relief to see you are at home.....I was so worried about you all night as I didn't hear from you. Was thinking the worst . Am glad to hear that things are okay for now.
Bubbs you can't beat a mother's intuition so go with how you are feeling hon.....get another scan if you feel the need.
NM gosh I have had that happen to me too with not finding the HB straight away....it's so frightening.
Well DH took today off work to surprise me with lunch....he's such a darling, so better go glam myself up, still in my jammies :p.
Have a great Friday Ladies, be back later :flowerz:
Meliko I am so sorry to hear about baby B.. My heart goes out to you and your DH. Hope babies A and C go from strength to strength.
Dearmum - Yup i wanted to get a scan done last week or this week sometime but now after hearing Meliko's news..its got me more worried. I just want to get it done regardless of it all.
my left bubba has been extremely quiet since yesterday and its got me more worried...and today reading meliko's news...its got me :hair:
I hear u about feeling scared as well for premmie babies. :(
Maorimama - Yeah i think am goign to call the hospital and let them know...hopefully they'll be able to arrange somethign for me...a CTG scan i think they're called...what are they anyone know??
Kimmy - Am glad ur DH took the car keys...good on him. After experiencing bleeding u're still wanting to go out and do things...why may i ask???
REST REST REST HUN...for ur and little dylans sake. U worry me woman!!
bubbs, I promise that I wont put Dylan in any danger, I know how far I can go.. not very:laughing: I was only going to get stuff for my bag:yes: I'm not vaccuuming... It's 10.50 and i'm still in my pj's so not alot happening here:laughing:
Yes I know how you feel about not much movement, I burst into tears when I heard Dylan's heartbeat yesterday, even DH comment on the relief of hearing it.
I would go get a referal for your own peice of mind..
NM - I agree, you are prob right to give Meliko a few days to let her come to terms with the good and the bad ...
glad your scan went well ... and you heard the HB ... my little boy is in a bad spot and they can never get his HB on a dopler ... it is enough to put your heart in your throat for that moment ... my OB just goes straight for a scan now, thank goodness !
MM - how sweet of your DH - hope you enjoy your lunch ...
Bubbs - put your mind at ease hon and get that scan done .... no point stressing .. I am sure you GP would give you a referral without any dramas .. have fun at the baby show on the weekend .. report back on any goodies you find
Kimmy - hopefully the rest will stop that spotting ... rest up and get someone to bring you a frozen coke
my3 -, is it this weekend you are going away ? Hope all is well with you and you managed through the Sydney heat yesterday .. going to be in the 30's here for the next few days - I can't wait !!!!
dearmum - what an eventful day for you too my love ... it is had when baby is not in an ideal spot, but the scan revealed all is still good ... we had our first antenatal class last night and the midwife was talking about low fluid .. she said to keep drinking lots of water, it wont resolve the problem completely but will make sure that it is being replenished as much as possibly .. hopefully all will be well next Tuesday ... are you ready for your babies next week if they do induce you ??? hope you aren't stressing too much .... :hugs:
AFM - tis my birthday today, the big 36 ! My DH is taking me to Harvey Bay for the weekend so I best finish up work and go get organised. Our first class went well last night, all the couples seems lovely .. all gorgeously pregnant .. but we are the only twins in the group.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, will be back to catch up on Sunday afternoon ... take care call ...
Hi Jojo.....happybirthdayBabe i hope you have some special time away.
Hi Kimmy....:laughing:Yeh i dont think im giving up take aways gosh what are they going to tell me next just to eat veges.Hehe i love the frozen fanta.
Hi Bubbs....Im feeling your worries today :no:yeh just cant get what happened to Meliko out of my head.I dont want Tuesday to come:crying:scared i will lose one of them.Hope you can get that scan asap.
Hi Maorimama....Babe sorry about yesterday i ended up finishing my credit:o and my stupid net wouldnt post my posts for me because my net was playing up it was so frustrating.
Ladies, I haven't had time to read through all the posts, so will have to get back on personals later on.
Just wanted to congratulate Meliko and DH on birth of bubs A and C, but also to say how sorry I am to hear about bub B. Sending them both :hugs: in this joyous yet difficult time. My heart goes out to them :hugs:
Dearmum - All I will ask from u is to be positive...attract the positive energy around u...ur babies will be fine...they will be in great hands if they are to come on tuesday...u just try to relax and look forward to their arrival...
Doesn't matter if they will be in hospital...see the positive side of it that atleast they'll be in a good routine.
Will be thinking of you hun...u have to keep us updated ok.
I know i think everyones feeling it for Meliko with the loss of baby B...I can't come to terms with it either...its just on my mind constantly. :hugs:
Jojo - happybirthday Hun...hope u get spoilt rotten...weekend away sounds awesum...enjoy it and relax hun.
Kimmy - Am glad to hear u're still in ur PJ's and taking care of little Dylan. GOOD GIRL.
thats how it should be. maybe DH should take the vaccum with him in the car too. sorry just had to laugh there for a second.
Am feeling a little better...am meeting up with a twin mum from Bubhub for lunch today.
She concieved from the same clinic as me and is only a week behind me. Am looking forward to putting a name to the face. She has her growth scan here in the city so will just meet her there. should be good.
I wish u all lived in sydney so we could all catch up...how good would that be??
DM - what a day you had yesterday. Glad to hear you and both babies are well..
Kimmy - Doesn't it make your heart drop when they don't get a Hb straight away. Not long now until you will have Dylan in your arms.. Huni take it easy try to get as much rest as you can don't worry about the house work etc DH and the kids should help you out!
MM - I hope you have a nice lunch with DH
Jojo - It was just the doppler they had yesterday it made my heart sink, the strange feeling i have is her moving around she was moving around so much they couldn't get her HB she pushed down on my uterus to trap her LOL and found it straight away.. This movement is completely different to DS but at least i know what it is no... HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNI i hope you have a great weekend away
Bubbs - It' great meeting people from bubhub hey. I met one girl who ended up moviing just down the road from me and we are the best of friends now! Where about's in Sydney are you?
sorry dont have time to do a normal post as i am about to go to the dietitian.
just wanted to pop in and say sorry to hear of your loss melkio of baby b but also congratulations on the birth of baby a&c.
i cannot imagine the emotions you and dh must be going through right now.
thinking of you and sending you lots of:hugs:.
Jojo: happybirthday Hope your DH spoils you rotten. Glad you enjoyed your antenatal classes last night and have fun at Harvey Bay. We are going away next weekend to Port Stephens. Hopefully the beautiful weather continues so that DS can have a splash at the beach!!
NM: Congrats on making it to the halfway mark!!! :yelclap: And so glad they were able to hear bubbas HB. When I read your update on meliko, the back of my head and my neck all went numb for a moment. I can’t imagine what they would be feeling right now and really hope that Bubs A and C will do well. I think that it is a good idea to give Melkio and DH a few days as well.
Dearmum: So glad that bubbas are doing well and that your DD is head down. WOW about being induced on Tuesday if the fluid doesn’t increase. At least they are keeping an eye on things and I know your twinnies will be well looked after if you deliver come Tuesday.
Kimmy: :hugs: darl. No shopping or cleaning for you. Things can always be done later. I think your DH was very smart to take the keys to both cars….he knows you way too well! I am so glad they were able to hear Dylan's HB to give you and your DH some relief. When I had my show I had bleeding for the 9 days leading up to the birth. Sometimes it would be red, other times it would be brown blood and it would always stress the crap out of me. Hopefully your spotting will slow down and stop.
Moarimama: I hope you had a wonderful lunch with your DH. how nice of him to surprise you like that!
Bubbs: Enjoy yourself at lunch and with meeting the other twin mummy. If you feel like you need a scan then go and get one to give you peace of mind.
Sending loads of :hugs: and :goodvibes: to kimmy, NM, bubbs and dearmum who all seem to be a little bit stressd and worried at the moment.
Question to ladies who have Braxton hicks. My tummy gets rock hard, sometimes only on one portion of my body, but other times on both sides of my belly. Sometimes the hardness feels like it is lower down as well. Are these Braxton hicks? Or is it just bubba doing stretchies? It is a bit uncomfortable. I wouldn’t say that it hurts, but it is very uncomfortable when it happens. The hardness will usually last about a minute and then go away. I get them several times a day and there isn’t any pattern to them. They just happen once or twice and then stop.
My belly is soooo tight today and I have a stitch in my rib area. I feel really bloated and thirsty. Very uncomfortable indeed. It would be nice to have a lie down. Only 3 more weeks of work left....Can;t wait to be on mat leave. It is so close that I can taste it
my3boys - i had this same feeling yesterday...was just not comfortable...felt heaps bloated and heavy...i couldn't get comfortable.
I am much better today but its bizarre.
Like u I have only 3 weeks of work left too..and i am very ready for it...at the rate i am going, i already feel i am 28 weeks pregnant..maybe this is what a singledom pregnancy is like at 28 weeks...like what I am now at 24 weks....doesn't surprise me if that is the case...these little munchkins are wearing me out.
NM - I work in sydney CBD...
Meeting the other twin mummy was great...got chatting about what we're experiencing andg oing through...
Ladies thank you for all your kind words, this is what BH means to me, the suppost and friends you make, make this whole IVF rollercoaster ride do-able.
jojo- happy birthday and I hope that you have a great weekend.
m3b- yes DH knows me all to well, I am my own worst person, I'm looking at my dry washing on the line knowing I have to get it off (I will take DS with me to help) then I'm only going to whip up a sponge cake and wash up, that will be all for the day. (see I can do nothing)
bubbs- I hope your lunch went well, i'm going to the neighbours for tea so no cooking or washing up for me:smiliedance:
I have lost another kilo, so far for me I have put on 3 kilo I don't know how I have done this?? With DD I put on close to 20kg.. I've stopped spotting, but i'm really sore in the belly..
Meliko- I keep thinking of you honey, the joy and pain would be overwelming:hugs: you truely are in my thoughts.
Ladies Have a good weekend, if anything happens I will sms bubbs and she will keep you updated.. DH said he will take me shopping tomorrow so I can finish packing my bags. I promise not to iron any beds (unless I change them)
Kimmy - Yup i will be waiting for that text but not too soon hun..gotta keep dylan in there for a little teeny weeny bit longer.
I've told DH i wanna go out for dinner and not bothered cooking...so we're going out for dinner too...i so can't be bothered wthi cooking...get over it after such a hard days of work adn commuting. :p
I have decided to see how i feel tonight/tomorrow and then if i feel i want a scan...all i have to do is get in touch with my hospital and speak to oneof the midwifes, they can then just call me in for a CTG...so told DH if i feel insecure, am goign to go and get it done for my own sanity and he said yup thats fine.
My3 - I remember when i had braxton hicks with DS they were down low and my stomach would tighten from one side to the other, if the rock hard belly is futher up i would say that's bubs. YAY 3 more weeks to go until your finished work how exciting
Bubbs - I use to work in Sydney CBD in the Governor Phillip Tower! I live in SW sydney.. Scan wise do what is going to give you peace of mind!
Kimmy - You take it easy put your feet up and let everyone wait on you!
Thankgod its Friday hey:smiliedance:i love me sleep in.
Hi Bubbs...:yes:I will try and stay positive this weekend but come Tuesday im going to be a complete mess.Glad you got out and had a good time with your hubhub friend i would love to meet ya all but im over here in Perth:(Hun have fun at the baby show tommorro.
Hi My3boys.....Funny but i didnt know about braxton hicks until after my fourth baby:laughing:guess i was to young.Anyway im getting alot of them now and mine is just a tightening all over my tum very uncomfortable.Babe its all because we are havn our bubbas soon:D
Hi Kimmy....Im going to be keeping a close eye this weekend on our thread,ya never know it can happen anytime for you oh and me of course hehe.
Well im off to make chocolate & coconut balls ahhh just wish i could get stuck into them,i will have a couple and stop at that hehe.
Oh forgot someone asked me if my bags were packed....EEK no there not,i will do it come Tuesday though.
Well DH and I had such a lovely day today....we even managed to get in some 'baby' shopping :D. I came home feeling very tired though and slept 3hrs :p so no doubt will be up half the night.
Dearmum be sure to top up your credit before Tuesday won't you? Hon take it real easy over the weekend....don't over do it with anything.
Jojo happybirthdayto you....I hope you adn DH have a great weekend away.
Bubbs I agree it's so nice to meet other BH mums.....I have made some great friends through BH. You will both be able to share your journeys together. The CTG is a monitor that they strap to your belly to monitor both babies hb and any contractions you may be having.....it can tell if a baby is in distress, but I don't think they are as good as a scan.
My3boyz I find my BH's are down low and like NM I get tight from one side to the other. I think it's quite likely that that is what you are experiencing.
Kimmy ooh you may have some news for us by Monday....try and take things easy over the weekend so you are nice and rested if Dylan arrives.
NM :smiliedance: for reaching the half way point, I hope the next 20wks don't drag by for you.
DM - Chocolate coconut balls yummm, can i please have your receipe?
MM - YAY for baby shopping how exciting, hope you didn't end up staying up to late last night
I am off to swimming lessons today for DS they are starting to get a little harder for me to do as DS just gets way to excited once he gets in the water! Come home for a rest and then i might go and get my nails infilled and maybe a quick dash to the shops i found the cutest pair of little red hot pants for bubs but will have to sneak them home so DH does see LOL. Hope you all have a great day today!
Im feeling better today, yesterday i was just sooooo down from hearing about Melikos bubba i even told all my family coz they noticed i had been crying.Anyway trying to stay positive im actually excited to see my babies but just worried what if ones to small or something,i remember Meliko saying her bubbas were bigger than what she had so if hers is smaller can you imagine mine.
Im off to ikea with my DD & her hubby.
Hi NM.....:)Enjoy having some your time.
Yep this is the recipe hmmm just remember though when you start eating them you cant stop:o
2pkts of milk arrow biscuits
2 or 3 cups of desicated coconut
1 to 2 tins of condensed milk
5 TBS of cadbury coco
First crush and blend biscuits so theres no lumps
then just add all these ingrediants in a bowl and mix in slowly the sweet milk it should become a bit sticky, after that roll them into small balls like a small marble then roll into more coconut and put them in the fridge over night.
:no:Iv been eating mine already and iv just woke up:o
Well i have been growing the last few weeks and am not so small now. I'm being brave and posting a photo of bare belly this week. Forgive the pj's. Oh and i also added 2 of ones i took this week myself. Not wanting to jinx myself but so far no stretchies so fingers crossed.
Super quiet in here today.....i keep poping my head in to see if kimmy has had Dylan:laughing:
Hi Ibb....;)Looking good gal....yep yay for no stretchies must say your still small but you have popped :yelclap:enjoy your bump coz soon we all will be finished being pregnant BOOHOO.
Today i went out with to Ikea and i was wearing tight clothes anyway my hubby said what you trying to show off your belly....i said hell yeh i worked hard for these bubbas and this might be my last pregnancy so let me flaunt it:laughing:i was covered by the way i just wasnt wearing maturnity clothes.
Girls i have been in complete pain today i woke up with a sore left side and i happen to be laying in bed on the net and coffed and bummm it felt like i just broke my rib so i can hardly walk or anything....not a good start to the weekend.
hi ladies hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
mine are always good until i have to go back to work on monday:laughing:,
i havent had much time to come on here to post but i had a quick read. today i will try to do personals but apologise if i miss anything.
ibb you look good, how is your pain going?
oh as for the stretch marks i only notice mine over the past 2 maybe 3 weeks. hope you dont get them.
dearmum you go gal, flaunt it. i only wear maternity pants to work except for a pair of jeans. i did however just by 2 pairs of 3/4 maternity pants for the warmer weather.
half of my tops are maternity(4) and the others are normal. the one i have on today is normal and only just fits lmao.
best wishes for tuesday.
maorimama glad to hear you and dh had a great time shopping. 3hour nap i wish, although i have started sleeping a little better lately. bet i just jinxed myself.
my3boyz glad to hear you dont have to work much longer woo hoo, not much longer for me either 3-5 weeks.
i get hard spots on my belly too but i can tell mine is just tyler stretching. how is leon going?
kimmy sorry to hear you have still been spotting. good on your dh for taking the car keys, mine would do the same. hope you havent been ironing the bed haha.
hope all is well.
jojo happy birthday for the other day, i apologise for not saying it earlier but i never got a chance to come back on after the dietian appt. hope you had a lovely day and are enjoying the weekend.
noahsmum glad to hear everything went well at the antenal appt except for the midwife not filling out the info. my dr forgot to write all of tylers heartbeat into my book, she put a 1 and there is a dot where she was spose to keep writing. i am not worried as i heard it and she said it was 140bpm and i feel him moving so i know he is fine. they had trouble finding his heartbeat up until 20+ weeks.
hope you had fun at noahs swimming lessons.
Yay a special place for the ivf mummies and mummies-to-be :smiliedance:. Thanks Mods!!
Dearmum how naughty :shame: are you for eating those choc coconut balls? Seriously I don't think I could help myself either. I made a caramello fudge slice on Thurs and the kids and I ate most of it in one sitting :o. How is that pain today? I have been getting pain under my right ribs and it's kinda got me worried as that was what they were looking for with my other pregnancies...epigastric pain....anyway it's not unbearable iykwim but definitely still sore and uncomfortable. I'll be asking my Dr about it tomorrow and keeping :fingerscrossed: that's it's nothing cause I don't want to go this early.
Ibb you have such a gorgeous belly hon and lucky you not having any stretchies. How are you coping with your pains?
Kimmy any news yet? I have had you in my thoughts all weekend.
NM hope you enjoyed your YOU time yesterday...always so needed isn't it? Actually I managed to get to bed fairly early the other night but had quite a broken sleep, oh well.
Meliko :hugs: :hugs:. Hoping to hear some great news of your boys next week.
i hope your all well... your all so close now!!!!:D
i want to send my best wishes to meliko.. i cried reading about baby b... im so sorry.. i hope babies a & c are doing great:cloud9:
i love reading about you girls cos your ahead of me... if i feel a certain way or if somethings happened i can remember one of you writing about it:yes:
im seeing the specialist about my diabetes tomorrow... after my 2hr glucose test its confirmed .. and i'll be on insulin soon:crying: this will be a loooong pregnancy as im 13 weeks!!
ok well, talk to you soon:wave:
DM - Thanks for the receipe i think i will have to make those this week
ibb - Looking good, great little bump, your so lucky no stretchies! I didn't get stretchies with DS until i was about 35wks just a few down the bottom of my belly and a few tiny ones on my hips.. Makes me feel huge seeing your belly
Heather - Everythign to do with the baby they have filled in but my past pregnancies they hadn't which they need to know about.. It's not that hard to fill these things out is it..
MM - Yeah it sure is needed, i went and got my nails done then stopped in at a friends place on the way home. It was nice being able to catch up and talk and not worry about what DS is getting up to
What a weekend swimming was fun as always. yesterday afternoon though was spent at the hospital DS woke up with a 39.9 temp, cough, very cuddly and not himself, finally got his temp down but after he woke his temp was back up and when he coughed he started crying so off to the hospital. I had stripped him off to a singlet and nappy plus being in the aircon helped with his temp they just kept him in for observation and gave him a iceblock which seemed to bring him back to life. Finally home at 6pm and he was off to bed, the poor thing woke an hour later and wouldn't go back to sleep so he cuddled in bed with me until he fell asleep. Thankfully he seems ok today.. I was so worried about DS wanting to cuddle me i would have him sitting on my lap and he would cuddle me i was worried that he was squashing bubs had a bit of movement last night which put me at ease
Hi Ladies
Hope you all had a lovely weekend...I didn't hear from Kimmy at all so looks like Dylan still hasn't made an entrance.
NM - I hope Noah is feeling heaps better now...keep a check on his temp. I am sure ur little bubba is fine and nicely cushioned in there...especially the movement must be very reassuring.
Sarbear - How are u going...how many weeks are u now??
Its good that u can keep track of whats ahead for u when u reach where we all are now.
Maorimama - What is that pain associated with do u know?? I hope it al goes in ur favour and its nothing serious. :fingerscrossed:
Heather - how are u going hun??
Dearmum - I hope ur pains subsided...take it easy hun. So are u up for ur appointment tomorrow???
Ibb - Great belly shot hun...i agree u have such a petite bump...am massive compared to u...but of course I am carrying an extra bubba.
Jojo - How was ur birthday weekend at Harvey bay??? hope u got spoilt rotten.
my3boys - How was ur weekend up at port stephens...do you mind me asking where did u stay?? DH and I are looking at spending a weekend up at port stephens ourselves.
AFM - Doing well...i ended up going to the hospital on saturday to get a CTG done and both babies were doing fine...both had normal heart readings and felt much more reassured.
We headed for the baby show too...wasn't too bad...some very interesting products out but yes DH and i managed to finish within couple of hours. We then went to have thai for lunch...was a nice day out on our own...enjoyed it alot with DH.
We've finally decided on the Maclaren stroller :D
Other then that a quiet weekend...tummy is expanding day by day adn am getting bigger.
Oh yes I have only 3 more weeks of work left. :smiliedance:
And am 25 weeks this week :yelclap:
good morning ladies
trust you all had a lovely weekend
DearMum - I think I will have to make those chocolate and coconut balls today - I remember making them with my Nanna when I was little ... and you flaunt that belly .. it is hard work growing it and we only have it for such a short period of time, be proud I say :D
NM - so sorry to hear DS has been unwell .. how is he today ? Hope he is on the mend and the temp stays down
hey Sarbear - good luck with your glucose test today ... hope that bleeding of yours has stopped as well .. WOW, can't believe you are 13 weeks already .. :yelclap:
ibb - your belly is soooo cute ...
heather -, all going well with you ?
MM - glad to hear you had a lovely lunch and a spot of shopping with DH ..
 bubbs and kimmy - hope you both had a great weekend
 to everyone else I have missed ...
Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I did have a great weekend .. back to work today and so over it already ! Got the nursery room all clear of furniture now and getting the carpets recleaned tomorrow ... should have some furniture in there by the end of the week and then the fun starts .. babies have been alot more lately and the belly just keeps growing ... like you DearMum .. I woke up this morning with horrible pain in my side, but my right side, managed to get rid of it in the shower but not idea what is was all about .. apart from that, no complaints ..
I have tried to catch up with everyone..
Seems like there has been great debate over the Pregnant Through IVF Threads with the IVF threads and now we have a new sub forum, I was a little lost there for a moment....and thought I had lost you all.....
JoJo - Happy Belated Birthday happybirthday, sounds like you had a great birthday, have fun completing your nursery. But dont you lift anything heavy, make sure DH does it for you.
IBB - Great Belly Shot, I am feeling huge in comparsion but I do only have 6 weeks to go....and to think its still going to grow some more...
Dearmum - Good Luck tomorrow, I hope bubba's are o.k and can stay put a bit longer, and those balls sound Yummy and really easy to make, I might even make some myself for my staff and treat them.
Kimmy - I hope you took it easy over the weekend and Dylan is staying put for a little while longer. It must have been scary to have that bleed.
My3Boyz - Hope you enjoyed Port Stephens it was a great weekend and would have been lovely up there, DS would have loved it.
Sarbear - Goodluck at the Diabetes Clinic, I feel for you having daily insulin injections, just think back to the IVF days of needles...its a amazing how early they have picked it up with you.
Noahmum - Poor DS, I hate it when you have to take them hospital, I have had to take DS a few times as he suffers from Tonsilitis quite a bit and gets these servere fevers with it. Then you get to hospital and they seem fine, but I put that down to the Panadol or Nurfen High. I hope he better today.
Bubbs - Great to hear your bubba's are doing well and you have been reassured, it always nice to get that, What Hospital are you going too?
I wonder how Meliko is doing and her Bubba's?
AFM - My little girl thinks its party hour and is jumping around like a jelly bean this morning, at least I know she is in there and o.k :goodvibes:.
I also went to the Baby Show on Saturday and was really disappointed, I am glad I had a free ticket for DH and I, we went to the Baby Expo also in May at Rosehill and then was so much better, and bigger and so much more things you could try and purchase, I found this one to be lots of clothes and not many of the big baby retailers, unlike Rosehill who had them all there, and you could get so many samples of things, oh well it was an outing and got a few things, stocked up on Milton as it was cheap.
DH did the Sydney Half Matharon yesterday (21km) and he was buggered last night, poor thing I think his bones were aching all over, so DS and I spent the day together which was nice, but he kept saying Dadda, Wheres Dadda?
Hi  to everyone else and any one I missed, best go do some work as I have 4 weeks left after this week and have so much to do, including finding my replacement, so hard whens its for your own job, you kinda become a fussy, you dont want the person being able to do a better job then you and show you up IYKWIM.....
Well it took me a minute this mornign to realise that our thread had been moved into its own little section under the IVF pregnant banner.
I was a bit nervous to check in as I wasn't sure if kimmy or dearmum had gone into labour over the weekend. So glad that they haven't and that bubbas are doing a bit more growing inside before they make their grand entrances :D
Thanks to everyone on getting back to me on Braxton hicks. Its funny cause I never experienced them with DS at all. I guess the saying that every pregnancy is different could not be more true for me and both of my pregnancies. Its like chalk and cheese, oil and water, yet I both are boys LOL!!!
bubbs: We are heading down to Port Stephens this weekend. Staying at a place called Salamader Shores. I hope it is a good place as I;ve never been there before. I checked wotif.com for available places and then went to the hotel/motel/apartment websites and checked out what deals they had. We are getting breakfast included with our stay so that is taken care of for both mornings that we will be there. i did find that lots of the cheaper rooms would only allow a max of 2 people, which was a bit annoying as we will have DS with us. Will let you know how things go next week :D
jojo: Glad you had a wonderful weekend away. I can't wait till this weekend so that i can relax and enjoy the last weeks that we will have as a family of 3.
ibb: Love the belly shot. You have definately popped out, but are small compared with my basketball out front  I have literally ballooned out over the past 4 weeks. My boss took a belly shot 4 weeks ago and I looked about the same size as you. Then she took one last week and OMG my belly has gorwn heaps! Great to hear that you haven't got any stretch marks as well, fingers crossed that it stays that way. How are you getting along with the pains?
NM: Your poor DS, what with the teething rash and now the temp. i hope he is better today. Do they know what cause the temp? Don't worry about bubba getting squished, she is well cushioned in there.
dearmum: Oh yummy coconut balls. It would be hard not to eat them as you make them LOL! i hope the pain has eased for you. Perhaps its bubbas sitting on the nerve or something. I had this awful pain under my ribs last Friday. Probably something to do with how tight and bloated I felt.
moarimama: Hopefully the doc will be able to explain the pain under your ribs and that it doesn't mean preterm labour for you.
heather: I feel like you. Love it on Friday afternoons when the weekend starts, then Monday's are a real drag! LOL!!! You don't have much time left till you go on mat leave either.
sarbear: i am sorry to hear that you will have to be on insulin injections. At least you will be used to them having gone through IVF and all the jabbing that comes with it. Plus it is good that they have caught it early so that you and bubba can get the treatment required to keep you both healthy.
JCR: We haven't been to port stephens yet. We wil be going this weekend. I really hope the wether is as nice when we go up there. Sorry that the baby show was a bit of a let down for you. OMG, your DH must be really healthy to run the half marathon! So cute of your DS to be asking where his dadda is. Glad the hear that your little girl is active and letting her mum know she is OK.
AFM: Well it was pretty hot over the weekend. I think I am feeling the heat a lot more with this pregnancy. Went out yesterday afternoon to do a bit of fruit shopping. Lets just say that I was walking at a snails pace as my hips felt like they were going to break apart. They are pretty achy and that coupled with my sore lower back was making it doubly uncomfortable to get around. Leon seems to be OK. Nothing to report in that department. He was sticking out his foot last night. Funny feeling a bit of him protrude from my belly.
Morning Girls just a quick post as I am expecting a call from my sister in NZ any minute now so will do personals later.
My pain got that bad last night that I seriously contemplated going into the hospital, but my fear over took that and I stayed home. I was so scared of going in and being told that I would have to have bubs now and I sobbed to DH that it was far too early for him to come. The Dr thinks it's gallstones so I have to go for a scan to check but from my previous pregnancies and the risk of PE and HELLP syndrome I am not convinced. Apparently Dr"s misdiagnose HELLP for gallstones all the time. Feeling very out of sorts today....can't explain it but just feel off and I have put on a whooping 6kgs in 3wks , starting to feel very cumbersome and think I may be retaining fluid. Anyway best go but will be back as soon as I can.
oh ... MM .. big :hugs: .. will wait to hear your scan results but hopefully it is something they can fix and keep that precious boy in your tum, growing for a wee bit longer .. thinking of you and hope to get up update later today .. take care sweets :goodvibes:
JCR - Yup i had the same feeling with the baby show...this was our first ever visit to the show and we were also thankful that we didn't have to pay for those tickets...we got two free complimentary tickets through DH's work colleague.
I was also disappointed that it was just clothes clothes clothes and nappies, wraps but not enuff big items. oh well...atleast i got the feel of the baby show and did get some freebies. :D
MM - I hope u get that pain sorted out huna nd its nothing serious...take it easy
My3boys - Ok so u're going this weekend...i bet u can't wait. Am sure it'll be fun and exciting. Surely let me know what u think of the place...if its worthwhile. and i hope that pain subsides for u too...i tend to walk like a snail myself.
MM- Hope the scan goes well for you.. I lost a kilo last week, but seem to have put half of it back on.. I always carry extra fluid, not sure why Dylan wants it, I shore don't.
DM- How are you honey?? Goodluck with you scan tomorrow I will be thinking of you.
Bubbs- Yes Dylan has stayed putt:yelclap: I bet he lasts the last 31 days!! Just my "inner" feeling.. I'm so glad that both you babes are doing fine, gives you a little piece for a few days..
m3b-My hips always ache now, so i'm with you on that and my lower back.. I also go at snails pace.. you and I really are only a few days apart.. Leon really has been a good boy for you:D
jojo-Finding your replacement:laughing: I could only imagine the person who I would pick for me, someone useless so they couldn't wait for my return.
NM- I hope that DS is feeling better.. There seems to be so much of it around this year, my poor kids suffered more than they ever have!
Hi sarbear and heather
Me- Dylan is sticking like glue, good little boy that he is, I have all the contents of my bags (one each) all over Dylan's room floor, but I think that I'm getting there now.. I know that Dylan will stick out his last 31 days, I just know it... Mind you I still cramp heaps and I can't sleep my hips and back ache so much that on Sunday morning I was up at 630am ironing (wont suprise you) but i'm just pottering around doing this and that, but not to much I wont vacuum.. BUT I have to clean DD wardrobe up and get the sewing machine out and take up my after birth new trackies..
Well this morning I took 17yo DS for his "p's" and he passed, all I have done since is cry he growing up and i have to let him have a life:ecomcity: I just love my kiddies so much that I have BIG knots in my apron strings..
Sorry to ramble..
Better run and do something..
(hugs still to Meliko)
Sorry no time for personals coz i have soooo much to do before all my visitors come:rolleyes:
My pain hasnt cleared up yet and yesterday it just got worse everytime i sneeze, coff or just pain breath normally it hurts like hell:(hmmm havent been able to visit people coz im just in to much pain.It hasnt turned out a Good festive time for us at all.
Yeh have my scan & doc appt tommorro im excited yet scared i will keep ya all posted but.
Bubbs - Thanks the hospital called earlier to check on him,i just need to keep an eye out for his fluid intake now. I swear this bubba is alot lazier then DS it still worries me because she doesn't move as much as what DS did. Glad to hear both bubs are doing well
Jojo - He still isn't himself but his temp is down and hasn't been up, his cough is still around though, poor little man i hate seeing him sick. YAY can't wait to see your nursery.
JCR - It's good to know it's not just my DS who does the same thing, it's like magic when you walk through the doors at the hospital. YAY 4 more weeks of work to go how exciting
My3boys - first a teething rash, then ezcema and now this i am hoping that after this little sickness and the ezcema goes he will be sickness for awhile! That hot weather was giving me a taste of what i still have to come i'm really not looking forward to summer
MM - I hope your pain is nothing to worry about
Kimmy - Your not wrong about the sicknesses this year... I hope your still getting plenty of rest, congrats to your son for getting his P's
DM - You make sure you take yourself to the hospital if the pain gets any worse, take it ease hun..
DS isn't to bad after his nap, the hospital called to see how DS was and they are a little worried about his fluid intake and wet nappies, so i have been told to give him some juice or light cordial in his water so hopefully that will increase his fluids. They even told me to give him what ever he wants to if he wants icecream for dinner let him eat it..
its amazingly quiet in here...hope you all are doing well.
Dearmum - Goodluck with ur appointment at the doctors today...:fingerscrossed: that all goes well. take it easy hun.
NM - How is ur little munchkin doing now? i hope he is getting better with that cough.
do u know where the placenta lies with ur bubba? maybe due to that u are not able to feel much movement???
Kimmy - Congrats on ur son getting his P's. I have to get mine too. Shock horror...i know...
How are u feeling now? how is dylan doing??
Hope the rest of you are fine...not much to report here...just feeling my tummy expanding and stretching and feeling bubs kicking me on my bladder...gives me jolts.
Other than that doing ok...wanted to take a day off today but decided against it...
Anyway...hope all are well.
good morning all ..
just a quick one, will pop back in later ..
DearMum - good luck today hon, hope all goes well and little bubbas stay put for a few more weeks .. thinking of you today :hugs:
MM - hope you went ok at the Dr's yesterday .. thinking of you too :hugs:
Heather - had the most BIZARRE dream about you last night - all the BH ladies are now in my dreams .. it looks like you will be pregnant for a while to come .. you were still pregnant with Tyler after I had the twins AND you changed his name to something I can not pronounce .. your DH rang, I must have been your Buddy in the dreams .. I woke up and giggled, it was tooo real ..
All good here - back later - have a great day ladies
Bubbs it has been quiet in here hasn't it? I've been getting the jolts on my bladder and it makes me feel the need to go :p. Babe you won't know yourself once you have your license....you'll wonder how on earth you ever managed without it. Having said that I still walk if where I am going in within walking distance.
NM how is Noah today....hope he has perked up and is feeling lots better.
Kimmy it's so hard when our BIG kids start doing adult things isn't it. Our oldest who will be 17 in January is already talking about getting out into the workforce and he still has Yr 12 next year.....I cringe when I think of him out in the big wide world but have to trust that we have taught him all he needs to make it. How good is Dylan for holding on?
Dearmum all the best with your appts today hon. If you need to stay in txt me so I can let the girls know....I need to get credit so will try and get it this morning before my GTT.
Jojo I too have dreamt about some of the girls on the threads .
How is everyone else doing?
Well surprisingly I have woken up pain free this morning *sigh* which is great so I guess it's just waiting for the next bout of pain or the scan which ever comes first. I am having my glucose test done this morning and had to fast from 10pm last night....I am feeling very hungry atm especially since I know I can't eat .
MM - nice to hear that the pain has gone, lets just hope it stays away.
tis very quiet in here isn't, compared to normal ..
Bubbs - can't believe you finish work in a few weeks... at my 20 wk appt, my Dr said I should prob wind down at 28 weeks ... hmmm, think not, I am happy to stop travel but my work is not strenuous and I dont have to travel - as long as I take it easy I should be fine.
Carpet cleaning man has just finished, rooms looks lovely and clean now. My furniture is being delivered tomorrow monring :yelclap: can't wait to start putting it all together ... and then settle on our theme .. still not sure of colours but thinking it has to be bright and vibrant as we are leaving the walls nuetral.
It has been so quiet in here, normally I can't keep up!!
MM- Yes my boy is also looking at finishing for the year. They said he can finish if he has a job, which he has been offered an apprenticeship, but return for all his exams.. I don't know what I want him to do, jobs don't land that easy. (and he hates scahool)..
Bubbs- What no LICENCE!! I suppose being in Sydney you have modes of transport, me I would be strandard with out it.. I only live 20 mins from town, but walking wouldn't be a very good idea.. No buses out here, I could ask the garbo truck for a lift once a week:laughing:
jojo- No I haven't had any dreams about you girls, though it's a wonder as I talk to DH about you all.. Bless him, must think i'm in this other world.
DM- Goodluck with you scan today, I will keep checking back for results.
NM- Hows DS going?? Did he have icecream for tea?? I hope that he feels better soon.
Me- Sleep is still evaiding me:sleeping: I dropped the kids off at the bus today and come home back to bed.. I was going to get up and pack my bags at 1am, but I didn't, then poor DH couldn't sleep so he got up and was at work for 6am (his a mechanic) but he keeps getting bad pains in his chest so he should be at docs now.
Dylan seems fine, kicked the daylights out of me last night, I seem to have this ball just hanging out front now.. I still say that he will be in there for the long hall.. Other than aches and pains I really feel well, might cook muffins today.. who knows what I will get up to, first of all shower..
Dearmum - good luck today I will be checking back later hoping for an update.
Hi to all the other ladies its getting all very exciting for all of you now.
Jojo how exciting to finally be able to do your nursery...you'll have such fun with the decorating.
Kimmy my boy wants to do an apprenticeship too but he's still not sure in what trade. Gone are the days of leaving school and knowing exactly what you want to do and doing it until you retire. I told him that he can learn one trade and if it's not him he is still young enough to do something else....what is it with kids wanting to grow up too fast? Mind you I think we are all like that.
Well my GTT bloods are all done....now just to wait for the results. I got very sore sitting there for 2 hours and have to say I didn't much like the drink....I suppose it's not too bad but I found it really fizzy.
Hi ladies. Yes it has been quiet here lately. I think its cause we are all past the halfway mark or nearing the birth and some of us are hunkering down waiting for bub to come or we have "boring" pregnancies (which is a good thing :D)
Maorimama: Are there tests that you can do to diagnose PE and HELLP? Given your previous history I would not be leaving your OB's office without forms for further monitoring/testing to be done. I would be very, very firm with them so that you can get confirmation one way or the other, which should hopefully put your mind at ease :hugs: Oh I found the GTT drink really fizzy as well. I ended up shaking it a little to remove some of the fizz :p
dearmum: Good luck for your scan today. Hopefully bubbas are still doing well and you won't be induced. But i know they will receive the best possible care if delivered now.
NM: how is your DS today? Hopefully better and his temp has gone back to normal. LOL about the hospital telling you to give him whatever foods he wants. I guess their main aim is to get something (esp fluids) into his little body.
kimmy:  my tummy is the same. Looks like I have put a basketball or watermelon down the front of my shirt! So glad that Dylan has gone back to his normal active self.
jojo: How exciting to be starting on the nursery. mmm vibrant colours would be great!
bubbs: No license! I wouldn't be able to get around western Syd without my car. Public transport out there is crap! Plus its hard to ferry DS around without a car and license.
I know I've missed a few people so just wanted to say
AFM: just got out of my chair and felt as if I was going to drop my bub right then and there. Sheesh my lower tummy was rock hard and made me hunch over as I was getting up. Felt very, very weird. Got my OB appointment this Friday. It will be interesting to see how much more weight Leon has put on. He has been squirming around a bit sticking his body parts here and there. Apart from that all is going well and just counting down the weeks till he makes his grand entrance.
DM - Thanks for the receipe i made those balls today yummmm
Bubbs - Placenta isn't blocking bubs kicks i'm starting to think it's just a girl think LOL..
MM - Glad to hear you don't have the pains anymore, i hope they stay away.
jojo - YAY how exciting getting everything ready to put together
Kimmy - How is DH?
Thanks to those asking about DS, he is ok still has his cough which woke him at midnight last night and kept him up for an hour.. I finally got him back to sleep around 1am and i couldn't get back to sleep last time i looked at the clock it was 3.30am, i tried to mummy nap today and nope couldn't do it now i'm buggered and will probably have to work tonight
I know ladies I have been very slack...I HAVE TO GET MY LICENSE ASAP...so i can be an independent woman...just need to go for my driving test and pass it.
Haven't attempted it yet so better think about doing it soon... :shame:
Its so warm here in my office today...am actually sweating. YUCK.
I think the air cons not working...not happy i tell ya.
Not much else is happening...
my3boys - i can only imagine how heavy u must be feeling...must be excited for ur appointment on friday with obs...
Maorimama - I hope ur results are ok and u don't have any GD issues...goodluck hun..my fingers are crossed for u.
I have my GD test next week either monday/tuesday...its up to me what day i take.
dearmum - thinking of u hun...hope all is going smoothly... :fingerscrossed:
:yelclap:My baby girl is doing alot better as the fluid increased, the doc said sometimes its just the way the babies are laying.I said to him oh i was kind of getting excited to see my babies and he laughed and said oh we are hoping for 38 weekers:eek:i said yeh well im not:laughing:gawd i want them out by 36 weeks.
Sorry off for a snooze:sleeping:
dearmum - glad to hear your little girl is doing well .. :yelclap: my god - 38 weeks, what is your OB trying to do to you  38 weeks ...aaaahhhhhh . .I too want my bubbs at 36 weeks, assuming they are happy and healthy - I just want them now !!
bubbs - I have a girlfriend in Sydney who does not have her license, she is nearing 40 and I dont think she will ever get her license ... I agree, your license will bring a huge amount of independence and freedom, especially when you are on maternity leave
my3, yep beside myself with excitment on starting the nursery ... Leon must be growing, you dont have long to go now ... :smiliedance: .. no wonder you are front heavy .. belly shots ???
MM - will be great t opotter over the comings weeks and pick up bits and pieces for the nursery .. I can't wait ... are you doing anything special for the nursery before you move - prob no point, uh ? Bubbs will be not long in the nursery and you have to move .. if you dont mind me asking, what is PE and HELLP ?
NM - you poor love, you are going to be a dad bit weary this evening ... glad that DS is on the mend, poor baby - was it just a virus or something ?
Kimmy - what an amazing time in your life .. suppose it is the same for dearmum and MM as well .. kids moving onto be adults as you are bring a new bubb into the family ... Dylan is a good boy for staying put ... but not soo good to be kicking the daylights out of you .. I am starting to feel more kicks now, not just movement - it is just an amazing feeling .. kick away my little peaches ..
Hope everyone has had a great day .. hump day tomorrow and then we are on our way to the weekend .. wooo hooooo
Dearmum DH just rang to tell me you had txt, sorry left my phone in the car after my GTT this morning . So glad to hear that your babies are both well....the longer they are in the better.
My3 yes they can do BT's and screen your liver and kidney function to detect if anything is off...I mentioned all this to my DR and he said...um no your bp is fine so can't be that....but I know that you can still have these conditions with completely normal bp. It's pretty :hair:. I only see a normal GP who does maternity care and he consults with an OB at the hospital where I am going....in hindsight I wish I had of gone to the local tertiary hospital and gone with a Specialist but it's all new to me here.
Jojo PE and HELLP are two things to be mindful of when pregnant, that's why Dr check your blood pressure, urine and general wellbeing at your appts. It can be life threatening to both mum and baby and the only treatment for it is delivery. Basically if you get really sick with it your organs start to shut down. I was in and out of hospital with my pregnancies for high blood pressure but only ever showed a trace of protein in my urine and all my BT's were always normal but with my fourth I started getting really jerky cause my bp shot up which meant that my body wasn't coping. I hope I have explained that okay.....the chances of going undetected these days is pretty slight if you have a good LMC (Lead Maternity Carer).
Bubbs can I suggest you take a cushion or pillow with you to your GD test and a book to keep yourself occupied.....the 2 hours drags and I found I got really sore sitting there for that long.
NM poor Noah, it's so awful when they are sick and can't communicate themselves to us properly. How is he going with holding his fluids down? I hope you don't have to go into work tonight....you need to rest
Have not been on for awhile, been pretty busy. I got on here a few days ago and was going to reply then, but was called away. Then our internet was down 3 days and when I got back on here I couldnt find the thread!:hair:
Well I am here now, so I can just :chillpill:.
Meliko- I am very sorry to hear of the loss of baby B. Your heart must be breaking. Also, congratulations on babies A and C! (I dont know their names...) prehaps baby B will be his siblings gaurdian angel.....
I was reading the post's on PE and HELLP. But what do they actually stand for??
Everyone else is sounding like they are all doing well. Ooooo, not long to go for some of you!
Hope I have not missed too much. Dont have time to go all the way back and read all the post's. Hope everyone is well.
MM- my DS wanted into the construction side of a job as well.. Looks like a roofing plumber it will be for him, unless he doesn't like it and changes to a builder.
jojo- don't worry my dear, those big strong kicks are coming, then you lay awake all night just feeling them. Yes I will miss it, but will have other things to keep me going then.
DM- I'm so glad and even done a little dance when I found out that the babies are doing so well, you must be a good oven as well:hugs:
m3b- I know what you mean when you say that you stand up and it feels like they are going to fall out.. I feel like that every time I move.. NOW all I do is pee, every 5 mins!!
NM- How is little DS going?? My DH is ok, had to go and get bloods done today and go back Friday.. He was told to cut his beer down:laughing: (not that he drinks much anyway).. DH gets fatty lumps over his body, they scare the daylights out of me I never know if the one they just shrug at is the one they shouldn't.
Hi Zoe how are things going with you??
bubbs- My sweet, how do you survive without a licence?? I was thinking about it for ages last night:laughing:.. When do you go back to the doc?? I really should write things down so I don't forget.. (like my name)
me- well :hissy: I wanna sleep (runs around in a tantrum) I'm so unconfortable I don't know where to put myself, I lay down it hurts, I stand it hurts, I bend it hurts, hurts in the car the shower the toilet even.. (sorry for tmi!!)
I was going to get up and post to you ladies this morning at 2am, why.. cause I hurt, couldn't sleep and was contracting it's driving me insane.. I have been having pains now since about 6pm last night, were 20 mins apart then went 25, then when ever they wanted, got up to the loo twice last night and was in agony after.. all I need to do today is move and it will start all over agian. Midwives tomorrow so i can see what my poor body is doing.. Don't mean to winge, but i'm just so tired, only going to spring clean DD room today.
29 Days to go!!
Take care my lovelies
Kimmy - Hi Hun...are u going through a stage of labour u reckon with not knowing what to do with the contracting pains???
I hope ur midwife can pinpoint what is actually happening...what time is ur appointment today??
I've heard that when u labour...u feel so uncomfortable that u just don't know what to do...i guess it sounds like its true.
Maorimama - Thanks for the pillow recommendation...am not looking forward to the GD test but i guess it has to be done.
Jojo - I do want to get my license but just haven't gotten around to it...need a little bit of practise with parking and i should be set to book it in. better do it actually..k.eep putting it off.
Dearmum - :smiliedance: am so glad ur little girl has picked up...how exciting. U must be thrilled.
Yup like urself i want my babies out by 36 weeks too...i don't think i can handle them being in there till 38 weeks. My Obs said she will induce me at 38 weeks if my bubba's don't arrive before then...
Am hoping for 36/37...PLS PLS PLS...but not earlier...:shame:
AFM - Not much else is happening...sydney was covered in dust today...just an amazing sight. I still can't get over it. DH gave me a lift to work...glad he did.
Am feeling fine...just a litlte tired but not too bad..bubbas are both kicking me...Twin A is kicking me near my ribs so makes me jolt and twin B is kicking me down below... :D
I've started to get a bit of nausea since this week...I keep burping as well...its like 1st trimester again...is that normal??
Also my pelvis is hurting a bit...was reading the weekly update that its normal as the pelvis is just stretching away to accomodate the bubbas.
Other than that feeling fine...
Hope u all are doing well..
Well im feeling much better the pains in my rib area have gone, anyway i told my DH and he just laughed and said the whole thing was all in me head:hair:GRRR i said yeh next time your dying i will just laugh and say "Meh its all in ya head"
:smiliedance:Oh Kimmy.....hmmm looks like we may have Dylan here soon, with all those contractions it cant be much longer yay.
Hi NM....Babe have you heard from Meliko? i wonder hows she doing...she must be full of mixed emotions.Babe lets hope your DS gets over his cold very soon so you and him can get a peaceful sleep.Haha glad you tried the balls there so yummy cold,i havent stopped eating them oops.
Hi Maorimama....Haha leaving your phone in da car that sounds like something i would do.Your DH is nice letting you know about my txt.Babe when will you get the results for your GTT?
Hi My3boys...Oh your feeling it nice and low,im still feeling it nice and high like i can hardly breath.Sounds like he is so ready to come soon.
Hi Jojo....Cant wait to see the nursery bet your having fun wih the decorations.
Hi Bubbs....Hows your bubbas nursery coming?
Ladies we want belly pics:D
Hi Zoe.....How many weeks are you now?
Howdy to the rest of you ladies....
bubbs- No I wouldn't say I was in labour, to be completely honest YOU know when you are in labour, there is no comfort zone and you hurt it's that simple really. As soon as bubbs arrive it's over, just like that..
My 3 labours have all been different, Brad my first I felt my first pain at 6am and had him at 11am weighing 5pd 15o. I wondered what all the fuss was about:laughing:. Then nearly 4 years later I had Keegan (6pd,2) felt first real contraction about lunch time had him at 11:55pm hurt more, he was covered in bruises and came out arm first waving to us:wave: loved him dearly, but he wasn't a pretty baby:laughing: Then Maggie, she hurt, they said it gets easier, nope she wanted to be a princess from day 1, my labour was only about 9 hours but I started contracting only 5 mins apart and they stayed like that till the end, she was stuck for over an hour also covered in brusies, had a birth score of 2 (out of 10) and they just rushed her away and bought her back nearly an hour later, still on air.
So mine have got worse so that scares the hell out of me. I just want Dylan to be safe. He has quietened down but still very active. 34 weeks today.
Just did some reading on braxton hix contraction and they say they souldn't hurt and ease if you get up and walk.. not me if I get up they get worse and cripple me in pain.
I go midwives tomorrow at 10:40.
Ladies my house looks like a bomb and I think that its stressing me out to:laughing: I so wanna vacuum and just spring clean.. But I seem to just sit and drink raspberry tea.. I'm going to the supermarket in a minute, might feel better then:rolleyes: Then nanna nap if I can get comfortable..
I'm so sorry for my ramble..
Kimmy it really sounds like your body is rearing to go :yelclap: I am also finding it hard to sleep, I get really sore if I am on one side for too long and it's murder trying to roll over....lets not even mention getting into and out of bed. I hopped up off the couch last night and it felt like I had pulled something low in my uterus...it was so sore. I feel like it's my age catching up with me:laughing: cause I had nothing like this with my other pregnancies.
Bubbs I have had nausea off and on this whole pregnancy....I find it worst when the heartburn is really bad....maybe reflux who knows. I saw on the news the dust over Sydney...pretty spectacular. I agree getting to 36wks is ideal but even I don't really want to carry past then and I only have one on board.
Dearmum yeah I rang DH to tell him it was in the car so had him take it into work cause I was expecting your txt. Must say I sighed a huge sigh of relief at your great news. I reckon you could probably get them to induce you at 36wks....just tell them a few boobies  about how uncomfortable you are. I get my results next week after I have been for the scan on my gallbladder.
Hi Zoe, how are you going? It was me that posted about PE and HELLP...they are conditions that can arise during pregnancy, in the second half and can make both mum and bub very sick. Probably best to google them for the info.
NM how is your DS today....any better? I've been thinking about you saying that your DD is not as active as DS was and even though I can't entirely remember with my other children I reckon this little boy is way more active than any of them were....funny how they are all different.
Well restless night for me....so hard to get comfortable and when I do I start to ache . As mentioned above when I got up from the couch last night I got a really servere pain low in my uterus like a ripping sensation but it settled after a few minutes...took my breath away though. Getting lots of braxton hicks now and some of them are quite tense....strange to be feeling all these different pains as I normally have a high pain threshold. Another not so nice day in Perth today so no plans to do much.
How are our other lovely ladies doing?
:DLadies just got my photo so here is the latest :D
Dearmum - What a gorgeous belly shot with u and DH...how sweet.
How did DH feel about the pic??
No i haven't even started on the nursery...we haven't even got the furniture yet...we're only just looking at ordering the cot on the weekend...so still in the ordering and picking up process.
I think i'll start doing it all when i actually start being at home. Working and thinking abotu nursery - doesn't happen and weekends are just busy at the moment...hardly at home so surely will have alot of time once i finish working on 16th Oct. :yelclap:
MM - I hope ur pains subsided now...I just feel these pains only get worse as we progress along...but it just means we're a step closer to getting these babies out.
Kimmy - I agree i think u're not that far off now...how exciting for u... I bet u can't wait in a way.
I hope that popping Dylan out is a breeze and doesnt' get worse for u.
Dearmum that photo is gorgeous....you must be very pleased with it. How was DH with getting it done? Your choc coconut balls went down a treat here last night with the kids :D.
Kimmy after having 4 verrrrryyyyy intense inductions I have the fear that if I go into spontaneous labour that I may not realise it until I am near transition. My inductions were really fast so it will be interesting to see how things are this time round. My cousin not long had her 5th and reckons it was her worst by far....funny that aye as you have the notion that the more you have the easier it is.
dearmum - you look gorgeous hon, you must be happy with that photo ... you must be so much more settled today knowing your precious little girl is all good .. had your little boy grown much since your last scan ?
kimmy - you poor love ... no sleep and no rest .. so the old rumour of labour getting easier after each child doesn't hold true for you at all ! Well I hope Dylan makes an easy entrance into the world for you this time ..
MM -if your bubba comes at 36 weeks, does that make you early Dec ? That would be great to have bubbs here before Xmas ... hard to beat that for a Xmas present :) hope your pain has gone away and nothing serious last night ... and hoping your labour is not like your cousins .. sweet and easssssssssssssy this time round ...
bubbs - no doubt you are happy to have finally settled on a pram .. I am just not looking anymore .. going to stick with our decision ... I was at the shops yesterday and saw some cute snug a bug bedding ...
Zoe - hello ! nice to hear from you .. how much longer do you have to go now ??
My3 - how is everything with you ?
NM - how you doing today, did you have to work last night ?? Hoping Noah is on the mend as well ...
 to everyone else ...
Nothing to report .. another boring but happy day being pregnant .. some of my furniture has arrived .. more to come but I now have to find time to play in the nursery .. away camping this weekend, BIL and SIL visiting next weekend .. wedding the weekend after .. I just want to stay home and potter in my nursery .. shame I can't stay awake past 8:30pm  I could do it at night .. got a body pillow last yesterday and it is the BOMB ! My back felt so much better, not sure DH liked having it in the bed .. but he will have to deal with it ... makes the world of difference
Have a good day ladies ..
DM- what a lovely photo, wonder if I could get me DH to do that??
MM- My labours have all been induced, there not fun are they?? and if Dylan makes the other 29 days, I will be induced again.
bubbs- I still think that I will make my last 29 days, even though standing is becoming a chore:laughing:
I'm cooking a roast tonight, a blade roast stuffed with garlic and honey soy.. I'm going to vacuum and dust today as well, I just can't stand it anymore:laughing: at 3 I will get DD from the bus and she can help me do her room:yelclap:.. after tea I will just rest.. might try and get a belly shot as well.. I still have only put on 3kg, wonder if my scales have broke??
Kimmy! You poor thing. Dont worry about the winge, thats what we are here for, right? You sound very uncomfortable. You must be beside yourself not being able to get some comfort. Would a warm bath help? Probably be hard getting in and out of the tub. Your so close, good luck with everything.
Dearmum- good on you, I would say that too! Some people can be so insensitive cant they. Easy for them to say when its not affecting them. You stand your ground! Love the photos- wow! what a tummy! Cant wait till I get there!
Maorimama- Sounds like everyone is getting the cramping misery as they get further along! Those sharp pains can be really awful. I dont know what my pain threshold is, I can cope really well with pain to legs, feet and arms, but anything to do with my head or abdomen I am not so good with...
Buubs- 16th October is not that far away! Bet you are looking forward to it, then you get get down to the serious buisness of nursery making!
Well I am going ok I think. 23 weeks this week. Still a way to go for me. Just as well, I have so much to do before bubba arrives. Bubba has been dubbed the name "Baby Boink" for some reason. I even finish off with birthday cards saying: From....... ........ and Bump. He he.
I have been getting some servere cramps lately. I used to get them all the time even before I was pregnant. They are really sharp pain, very intense. They can start from the front or back door, right through me to my abdomen. The problem is they are crippling and I can move. I cant even sit or squwat down because I cant stand to move. I even have to shallow my breathing, coz even though my heart starts to race a little, the heavier I breath, the worse the pain is. It only lasts for about 30-60 seconds, but it feels like about 10 minutes sometimes. I have noticed when I get these pains, I need to go to the loo about 10-20 minutes afterwards, so maybe its the bowel movements. My acupuncturist and naturopath say its a spasm in the bowel, but my GP cant give me any answer. So frustrating!
I am so busy here, I dont always get the chance to do house work every day ( I could do it now but Im having a break!) I clean the floors and the next day it looks like it hasnt been done for a week:hair:. I cant even use my vaccume cleaner at the moment, I need hubby to clean the head on it. I have long blonde curly hair and its falling out everywhere, and it all ends up blocking up th vaccume! So I suppose I have an excuse after all, only the floor baing dirty drives me mad!
Sorry for the babble. Just wanted to talk to someone. Dh not hear and the horses dont talk back!
JoJo- We must have posted at the same time! I always wondered about those pillows. I use and ordinary pillow under my bump some nights, but dont think its the same....
Bubbs - good luck with your driving test.
DM - that is fantastic news about your little girl.. Love your photos
jojo - I think it was just a 24hr virus, it scared me though being the first time he had ever had a fever. I ended up picking up my girlfriends DD from preschool yesterday she had the same thing as my DS so must be something going around
MM - He still isn't drinking as much as he normally does, so i have put some juice in with his water to give it a bit more taste and i have let him drink the juice from his fruit so i'm hoping he starts to drink a wee bit more today.. I worked a 6hr shift again last night doesn't sound like much but when your pregnant and on your feet for 6hrs it's so hard.. Alot of people have said that boys are more active then girls, maybe that is why they burn more and you don't tend to put on as much weight with boys then you do girls
Kimmy - Good to hear DH is ok LOL about the beer! DS seemed ok this morning so i took him to preschool and filled them in he was a bit shy at first and then happily waved me off. Sounds like you have had enough and ready for Dylan to come..
AFM - I am very tired so going for a nap after this, i ended up working from 5-11pm last night i was so tired but didn't end up going to sleep until after midnight Arghhhhhh.. Oh well slept in until 6.45am YAY i know it doesn't sound like a sleepin though. I have had a busy busy morning. DS refused brekkie so just gave him some milk he seemed ok so i took him to preschool he was a bit shy at first then happily waved me off and played with the kids. I then ordered my tiles for my kitchen and the last few pieces to finish off our kitchen renovation, went and had my hair done, scored a free blow dry. Next stop bunnings for a few things for Bubs wardrobe and paint samples for her room and hallway, ordered in a shelf for bubs room. Next stop Macca's naughty naughty i tried one of those new burgers god it was good.. I'm now at home and ready for a snooze well hopefully anyways!
Oh by the way i msgd Meliko this morning and asked how she and the boys are going
They are thriving! No breathing help coming out incubator next week they are just beautiful. Bubs were named Xaviour John Wesley, Caleb Peter Bailey and our angel Bailey Nikolas John
havent been on to reply in the last couple of days as internet has been playing up and there wasnt too much to reply to.
i have just read from page 46 onwards so apologies for anything i have missed.
jcr glad to hear your little girl is kicking away. sorry to hear you were dissappointed in the baby show, we only have the baby expo over here(that i know of).
yeah i bet you dont want to employ someone who is going to show u up at your job incase your boss doesnt want you back.
my3boyz sorry to hear your hips and back hurt i must say i can tell when i have been laying on my side asleep for too long as i get sore hips especially the left one that i lay on.
glad go hear little leon is well and sticking his foot out, could u actually see it or just feel it?
best wishes for fridays ob appt.
maorimama wow 6kg in 3 weeks seems alot to put on, it isnt early pre eclampsia is it?
ouch the bladder thing sucks doesnt it when the baby kicks or lays on your bladder. tyler was doing it from 21 weeks at first i thought i had a uti as i felt like i had to pee every 5 mins. i am getting use to it now but i hear it gets worse the closer u get to giving birth as the baby is getting bigger.
how did the glucose test go?
kimmy yay for your ds on getting his p plates, it wasnt that long ago i got mine but they changed the rules so i had to be on my l plates for 6mths and they changed it the monday after i had passed the test on saturday grrr.
how is dh and his chest pains?
sorry to hear you are not sleeping well due to being in pain. how did the midwife appt go?
i bet your house doesnt look like a bomb has hit it, like me you are always cleaning. my friend said to me before that i love cleaning:laughing:.
do u think you are having proper contractions or braxton hicks?
roast tonite hey, i am doing one sunday as dh is working. dh usually works one sunday a month and i like to cook a roast dinner for him to come home to after working on a sunday(who likes working sundays??? especially when u are salary and dont get paid extra to work them).
dearmum glad to hear your little girl is going well, how is your little boy going?
nice pic of you and your dh, mine probably wouldnt do one as he is too self concious about his belly although i suppose he could leave his top on.
noahsmum sorry to hear noah has been sick, good to hear he had fun at playgroup.
cant wait to get my hair done it is pretty feral atm, good on you for scoring a free blow dry.
i am waiting a few more weeks to get mine done so it is pretty fresh when i go to hosptial.
nice to hear your kitchen renno is coming along nicely.
bubbs sounds like you are having a boring pregnancy. good luck with your drivers licence test.
jojo  about your dream. when are u due?
arent u a bit behind me? i dont think the hospital will let me go too much longer than 40weeks. hospitals usually like you to have your baby by 42 weeks and as i have gestational diabetes i dont think they will want me to be late but may end up inducing me early depending how the next few weeks go.
how are things with you and the twins?
nice to hear you carpet is all cleaned, dh wants our 4 rooms to get done before tyler arrives but we will see what money we have to do it.
zoe hello hope you are well.
sorry to hear of your pains, maybe you should ask at your antenatal appt about them.
hello to everyone else hope you are well.
afm not much going on just trying to keep my gestational diabetes under control.
levels have been getting better now i have seen the dietian and i am measuring food, i feel like a rabbit considering all u can eat is vegetables.
tyler is well, i was a little worried earlier as i hadnt felt him move much today but he has since had some stretches and kicks so i am no longer worried, guess he was just sleepy.
going to try and work another 4 weeks after this one as we really could use the money.
couldnt sleep for ages last nite, i was like a fart in a bottle hehe.
when the alarm went off this morning i so did not want to get up for work but knew i had to.
Just got this from another thread and felt like doing one for our thread...would love to read others profiles.

NM you poor thing having to work last night....the last thing I would imagine you want to be doing with having had Noah sick the last few days. Sounds like you treated yourself today with a haircut so that's good. Ooh a girls nursery....I can't wait to see some pics.
Heather that is my concern with the weight gain....I'm not overly worried about how much I put on while I'm pregnant as I know I will lose it but to put on so much over 21 days is a  and for once I want to have a hassle free journey. Glad to hear you have a control of your diabetes, must make life easier for you. Hope you sleep better tonight ;)
Zoe oh no another one getting pains....so unfair if you ask me. I hope everything settles down soon and that it's nothing serious.
Jojo 36wks for me is the end of Nov/early Dec....but I reckon that you and Bubbs will go before me. I definitely want baby here before xmas but will be happy with the week before :D. How exciting that your furniture is starting to arrive.
How soon is everyone washing their baby clothing etc? I never got to do it with my other children due to being in and out of hospital and on bed rest so had to relie on DH and family to do it....I am thinking I may start in the next few weeks if the weather permits, but I don't want it to go musty from just sitting there.

hey jetgirl - some of the ladies on this thread have had horrendous m/s ... I am sure their Dr's told them not to stress too much ... the baby will take what it needs and it is soooo tiny at this point it doesn't really need much ... hoping you feel better soon ...
dearmum - I hear ya hon ... I too will be looking for some "white lies" around the 36 week mark ... .. as for the pillow, if you can't sleep I would recommend it .. pillowtalk have them for $20 + $10 for the cover ... it seems to stay in place better than many pillows strategically place ..
NM - thanks for sharing Meliko's update .. so great to hear her boys are thriving ..
