OK, this is going to sound quite silly, but I am returning to paid work today, and suprisingly I find myself quite nervous this morning.
I over estimated how long it would take me to get dressed and ready, and now I have over an hour to just sit and get even more worked up.
It has been over a year since I had any paid employment, and I am returning to a company that I worked for over 8 years ago. Alot of things have changed.

I will only be working one day a fortnight, but I have to work a few days this week for training. I always get anxious in these sorts of situations...

Oh Bec, it is so difficult when you first return to work - for me it was like I had forgotten everything except nappy changing and which breast pads were best :D You will get back into it though and most likely really enjoy the adult interaction and the chance to take a deep breath with 'you' time.

The way I looked at it when I went back was that I had given birth and was successfully raising a little person. There was nothing that work could throw at me that would be more challenging than that.;)

Hope you have a fantastic day !

Hello Bec,
Hope you had a great day.
I can relate to that sickly feeling in your stomach.
Im a new Dad and im returning to work after just 10 weeks off (long service leave).
Ive worked for the same company for 12 years and there are constant changes in the industry i work in.
Im really not looking forward to leaving my 9 week old little girl and partner, but reality has set in and i need to return.I would dearly love a job that allows me to work from home.Im very envious of those lucky people.
I feel for you,and im sure after a day or two it'll all come back to you.
All the best.
Steve.
