Ok so we fly out to LA in 3 weeks,we got some phenergan for our 16 month old and I tried it today to make sure there are no bad side effects and that she doesn't go hypo either. Well to be honest nothing happened she didn't go hypo and she didn't go to sleep or get drowsy actualy she didn't have here usual nap either. So now I am freaking out about the flight my daughter is best described as a diva and so the flight will be hard for her so I will need something to help calm her down.
Any suggestions???
TIA

when i took my then 2yr old to the UK i also used this for the trip and it didnt do anything for him either...im so glad i did take a carry-on bag stuffed to the brim full of not so loud toys, colour books, cars, doodlepad thingie and the staff on board were great, a trip to the cockpit and walks up & down the isle seemed to make the time go a little bit quicker.
did you book your flight for around a time he would normally go to sleep?
do you have a seperate seat for him..maybe a carseat to keep him strapped in will help..but check with your airline as some only allow this up to a certain age.
good luck for the trip.

I understand where you are coming from. We tried it for our DS who was 12.5 months when we went to Canada and it didn't do a great deal. WE bought GRAVOL over there which is much better but coming home I should have given him a 2nd dose to make him go back to sleep as he wouldn't and it was 2am our time.
Take toys and snacks. Defiantely take food (biscuits, weetbix/box cereal, muesli bars etc) as we were given tins of heinz baby food that was for 6month olds. They wouldn't give us a child meal as he was on our laps. I took too many toys etc going over. DS was happy playing with a plastic cup, chewing on my earphones (slobbery ear phones are not nice), and crawling about. A cup of ice can keep htem distracted too. You may get wet but if it keeps them happy....
Good luck. Once you have done this you can do anything.
