I'm not a mum of twins (you never know what the future holds though) my question is do you dress your twins the same especially if they're same sex twins?

My mum used to dress my sister and I in the same clothes alot (especially for special occasions-we're not twins btw)

Personally I think its kind of cute when their young but when they get older they want to be a separate person with separat personality (jmo). I think if you have (for example) 2 girls (twins) one might be a real tomboy and want to wear jeans and t-shirt all the time and the other might be really girly and wear flower dresses all the time.

So anyway, do you dress your twins the same? Just curious :)

My boys are 14 months old and I mostly dress them the same. A lot of people give you 2 of everything when you have twins so that is one reason but mostly I dress them the same because it is just easier.

It means that I only have to make 1 decision about an outfit instead of 2 plus when you have twins you are always trying so hard to make sure that you are 100% fair to both of them all the time, so when I do dress them differently I am always worried that I have dressed one nicer than the other!

My boys are almost 3 and I have never dressed them the same. My husband is an identical twin and hated being dressed like his brother so he was very passionate about dressing them differently, even though they are not identical.

I usually dress them in similar outfits but in different colours.

As a twin myself (not identical) I hated being dressed the same. Yeah yeah it may look cute but we are individuals. We were always called the twins. Some times we were dressed in the same thing but different colours - didn't make too much difference though, probably better than exactly the same. It also makes it hard for people to tell who is who. My sister and I are very different she is tall and I am short yet people still got confused - der we don't look any thing alike, it was just because of our clothes.

For your children's sake at least make sure they are dressed in different colours if they must be dressed the same. It will definitely help them in the long run.

I used to nanny identical twin boys. They were always dressed the same but in different colours. It was really cute when they were 2, but i would hope by now that they started to develop their own tastes.

As a twin myself my mother would dress my sister and myself in identical outfits but just different colours. I never had a problem with this at all, the problem I did have was that my sister always got the pink colour and I always got the yellow, purple, green etc. I wanted to wear the pink outfits too sometimes.;)

If you ever find yourself in the position of raising twins, you will just do whatever is easiest for you. I know some people say "its not fair to dress them the same because they are individuals" but it can be very hard with twins and sometimes you need to simplfy things just to get through the day. Some days I was happy that they were even dressed at all and I wouldn't have cared if we were all in the same outfit!
