Bbh bamboo fitteds?

I don't think you'll get much quicker-drying than BBBs because you can unsnap all the layers to make drying faster.
If it's quick-dry you want, pocket nappies are unbeatable.

God I'm an idiot! I meant to PUT quick drying fitteds! I know bamboo isn't quick drying.
Aparently the BBH hemp is quite quick drying, and well priced.
But I much prefer AI2's anyway. Not a cover fan. I find that by the time I buy the fitted (at $20-$25) and a few covers (at $10 - $15) I may as well have brought some AI2's on sale.
For quick dryingness i havent been able to go past Bumgenius pockets.
BBH hemp still take a fair while to dry comparitavely, and if you dry them too quickly they go really crusty! Plus getting2 layers on a squirmy bub that keeps attempting to flip on the change table! I have had enough of that game!

That's a good point about getting nappies on a squirmy bub. It will get worse as he probably tries to escape when he gets older lol. I thought putting a sposie on DS1 was bad enough.
So then, what's a good AIO to look into? DS2 has leg gape with ittis so far, Nice small nappy though. Pity!
What is a AI2?
What is a affordable AIO? Bambootys look ok. With AIO I'm worried about leg gape.
I did try a Swaddlebee nappy someone borrowed me that fit well and another type of Swaddlebee.
Pockets would be a PITA after trying one.
I will have $384 next Sat and I want to use that to buy some nappies.
An AI2 is the same as an AIO, except the inserts snap in (insteadof being sewn in), so you can pull it apart for faster drying time.
What does your DS weigh now? Is he chubby or skinny? Is he a heavy wetter?
Cruz is now 5.2kgs & getting chubby :smiliedance: & is a heavy wetter. The AI2's that I've found good are medium bundles of buns, med itti (snap ins), small twinkle lily, med bettlebums & I've even got my fluffybubs to fit him on the smaller setting. I've got some bambooty's coming this week, so I can't wait to try those.
He also fits small bubblebubs, but they don't last absorbancy wise.
I'd probably get a couple of trial packs, so you can try a few different brands. Don't forget if they don't work, you can always sell or swap them.
If you get nappies of the correct size, leg gape shouldn't be a problem.

The ittis were a small so I think they should fit but they don't! Weird...
He weighs around nearly 6kg I would imagine and ummm he not skinny and not chubby so in between. His a heavy wetter yes, poohs a lot too.
I would try a medium itti then. I'd sold most of mine when they didn't work for Chais as I needed to get him other ones, but held onto 2 in the hope they'd work for Cruz.
They are a perfect fit & last so well :smiliedance: I'm so excited to get to use them again.

I love my Nappy Chappie Lushie fitted. It is fairly thin, and the bamboo trifold is thin when unfolded, so it dries quicker than my BBH hemp and bamboo.
I find that it is very absorpbant also. And during the day, when she wets, only the trifold gets wet and it doesn't soak through to the shell.
If you don't want osfa pockets (which would be my first recommendation because you wouldn't have to keep sizing up) the Bambooty quick dry look pretty good. I bought mine too big so I haven't had a chance to use them yet (waiting for swaps to arrive). But I did get to do some pre-washes and they dried pretty fast. The boosters are all attached to the nappy, but they fold out for quick drying.
I know you said pockets would be a pain in the ***, but if you have been using prefolds, flats and fitteds with covers up til now I would imagine the pockets would be a walk in the park after them:)

If a small itti doesn't fit him how would a medium? A small snap in gives him leg gape, a medium would give him more leg gape. :D

Ok whats a cheap OSFM pocket?
I bought a Pea Pod to try just waiting for booster to dry
Might as well use hemp to stuff a pocket it dries quicker!
ETA to add to add I will have some money this weekend to spend and it will be on nappies lol.

Cheeky Butts make a cheep OSFM pocket. I actually quite like them too. They have a trifold in them thats bamboo and micro fleece, so it dry's quickly, and a T shaped booster to can go on top or inside if you want extra absorbency. I found them to be quite a trim fit too. They range from $16 to $30 (I would advise staying away from the coolababy, as they looked pretty cheap and nasty).
IMO pockets & AI2's (ie snap-in itti) are about the same amount of effort. Not a big deal, you've just got to put the insert in when you take em of the drying rack and take it off before wash - which is the bit I don't like. I like having just a couple of them fo their quick dry properties and the rest of mine are AIO.
I'd have look at the bambootys - they are a trim fit but tight around the legs so good for skinny legs. Pretty good value too. I'm pretty sure they'll be doing specials or GDUNH.
I haven't tried an pockets other than BumG so can't help there.
Gee it would be so nice to have that money burning my pocket ;).
Have you tried an Issy Bear minky day pocket? I prefer the Bumgenius, but I agree they are expensive:yes: The Issy Bear are about $29 which is pretty good value considering they should last until TT. The inserts won't dry as fast as the BG ones though.
The only ones I have tried are
Green Kids (very big and not cheap - I didn't like them)
Bumgenius (love them but yes expensive, although they were on special for $28.50 recently in one online store - not sure if there's any left)
Issy Bear (fantastic but perhaps the booster mightn't dry as quick as you need)
Peapods (hated them....they leaked every time for us)
You really need to try a couple before you spend all that moula!!! If the exy ones are going to work, it's worth spending money on them because you'll have them for a long time.....but you do need to know they're going to work for your bub!!! People sometimes have trouble with the BG elastic (I haven't personally) but I've never heard anything bad about the IB.
Good luck in your decision making:)
im pretty new to the game, but have tried some of the big brands.
1 dissadvantage to pockets is dh cant stuff them:laughing: his hand wont fit.
in saying that, i have AIO's, AI2's, Pockets, seriously, there isn't much difference in the time in the last 2.
AIO's take a long time to dry.
bumgenius, very $$, dry quickly, would prefer the new snaps they have bought out, as they will last longer than velcro.
bambooty, as PP said, are smaller round the leg, so good for skinny bubbies, 20% of during GDUNH, so worht getting a few to try. try well, same drying time as an itti IMO.
BBH magical (with trifold booster), about 24 hours to dry. may have leg gape, as they sre roomy.
issy's, great price for a OSFA pocket, pretty designs, easy to use. take a bit longer to dry than itti inserts, but not much. has just bought out snaps as well, looking foward to getting them to try. (so can resize down a bit better than just velcro.
ummm, happy babes, cheaper, around 23, almost exactly like bumgenius, but cheaper qaulity. you could try one of these, if you like it, you'll like the BG.
babysafari, bamboo booster, snaps, normal sizing round leg. after 6 washes, absorbency good. takes about the same as ittis to dry.
of everything, the microfibre inserts dry the quickest (BG/ HB) havn't had a prob with leaks either.
think i will get more wear out of others though.
HTH some?:)

Actually not neccessarily :D I haven't seen your bub obviously, but he sounds roughly the same size as Cruz & I'm finding with some brands, mediums fit better than smalls & have no leg gape as I can cross the front over which gives him a better fit.

Lou Lou's are the cutest nappies ever, work well and dry in a day. Come with a liner to give the nappy more lasting power :D I love em, looks so cute with some babylegs and a shirt, no need to cover :D
Monkey Doodlez are good AIO also, dry in a day. Nice and trim and i have found them better than itti's myself, but almost as trim, if you are needing to put clothes over the top.

The Issy Bear trial pack looks good. Would Issy Bear nappies be ok with their own insert? Or extra?
Do itti users prefer snap in or AIO?
i find the issy's fine on their own, they have lots of layers;) havn't had to boost 1 yet.
itti's, hmmm, i prefer the snap ins, just because i can take the whole thing apart to wash.

When I borrowed a small itti it took me like 5 min to figure out how to snap it all back together lol. Then someone told me it's coloured coded. *duh*
I will grab a medium itti pack and cross my fingers a medium will cross over and fit.
bambooty seem pretty popular. easy dry...is that the one that has all the bits sewn in and then you flip em out for faster drying? I think I will def go for that one! I spose that would be the best option.
Anyone tried a bambooty night nappy? I use BBB and those work really well though they dry hard as a crisp on the airer. Only got 5 though.

The Issy boosters are great!!! I got 2 free ones with a pack of 6 nappies. Highly absorbent and they dry surprisingly fast.
I preferred sewn in because the snap in are fiddly to put back together, but the snap-in are more absorbent I think......neither of them work for us anymore:(

Please don't shoot me if they don't
I prefer snap in & find for my boys they were a better fit than the sewn in.
I've got 1 of each bambooty on it's way. I was getting small, but changed to medium at the last minute, so hoping they fit. They should arrive tomorrow as i've had the dispatched email :smiliedance:
Have never tried an issy bear or seen them IRL. Are they cotton outer or minky? Are they sized? Are they good for heavy wetters? I know I could google & have a look but just about to leave, & would rather hear others opinions :)
I would try the bambooty easy drys . I have 4 of the small size here and they are the best fit around the leg - really snug . You would need medium for your baby though as mine is only 4kg and they are really small on her now . They are the quickest drying nappy i have and they are easy to boost with the bambooty boosters ( some of the cheapest bamboo boosters I have come across ) .
Greenkids have some seconds nappies in their Ozebaby shop . 2 for $50 including the bamboo inserts . The Greenkids are fitting our DD now and when folded down to newborn size they fit well around the leg . They look really bulky but are easy to get an exact fit on the legs and waist .
Save some of your money for the Nappy Hunt as you will get the best discounts then ( Greenkids didn't discount much at the last one so I would grab the seconds nappies while you can )

Go the easy Dry, drys very quickly. They are a very small fit though, so definatly go medium. My DD is 4.5months and 8kg and the mediums have fit her for a month (when we got them). When they arrived first time she wore them they had one snap exposed, now they have 2 showing (depending on how much she has just eaten).
As far as night nappies go, we have one Bambooty night nappy, and 6 BBH bamboos and wooly covers. The BBH do go a little crispy, but Ive found that if you let them dry in the shade (hang them out over night is what we do here) then put them in the sun the next day, they stay softer. Or 15min in the dryer every now and again. We use a fleece liner in our BBH too, keep bubs bum dry. Personally I'm not a huge fan of nappies with PUL for night times as they don't breath as well, hence the BBH and woolys.

I use fleece liners too, helps keep his bum not so red. I don't use PUL at night, just wool. I will keep using wool at night I think.
Well I'm def going to buy some bambooty to try for sure.

Definatly grab some bambootys, there great, especially the easy dry. The PUL in them is lovely and soft. But if you like using wool covers at night, I wouldn't recommend their night nappy, as it has a PUL outer. However it is a very trim night nappy, so that might appeal?

Its not as fancy or fun as fitted nappies, but you cant go past terry towel for quick drying. And really girls, they're not very complicated at all to fold and pin up.
I look at some of these fitted, snaps and clips etc and think terries I think a less complicated to use.
Just my opinion.

I bought two a while back, one was pul outta maybe? and the other was minky outta. There osfm. Ds is a heavy wetter and they do great for atleast 3 hours with it able to last much longer. I put the night inserts in for Ds's sleep as its 3 hours long and he usually pees quite alot then.
She has a whole new awesome range just came out and introducing snaps also the website will be updating soon too. We've just bought a 6 pack with extra inserts :D.

I use terry flats...;) 99% of the time. The other 1% is BBB for night time.
