Sunshine will kill the germs.
There is some kind of dettol brand rinse they make or just add a capful of dettol to the final rinse if you are worried, but the sun itself with sensetive washing powder for bub is fine.

Yep, :sunshine: all the way!
I don't even use washing podwer on my nappies- just plain water, and a day's worth of Queensland sun.
There is the canestan rinse stuff which just gies in your fabric softener dispenser but a good old dose of sunshine should be fine!

I normally fill the wash with boosters no PUL shells or anythign with hot water and let it wash then add shells and PUL covers and do a warm wash with canesten rinse

Here the canestan/detol is in the wash powder isle ... closer to the napisan and bleaches
I have started just using homebrand 'detol' because its cheaper lol and haven't noticed it mark the clothes or anything. .

yep
i read on a nappy info site that tests showed that nappies washed in powder along vs those that were placed outside and uv'd (doesnt have to be a fine day as UV is what sanitises not the sunshine ikwim) and the ones that didnt get washed with powder came out cleaner/sanitised
thanks from DH and me that's one less question we have!:shakehands:
