how much poo is too much poo

i have a 1yo DD who has always seemed to do lots of poos during the day
she is on a normal diet with 1 tin of canned food during the day the other food is what i prepare for her vegies , weet bix and toast that sort of thing but she always does at least 2 poos a day sometimes 3, today was 4. is this normal for a 1yo or does she need need to see a dr she is only small 8kg but eats quite a bit and is very active. would love to hear your thoughts, thanks. belinda

I think it's ok. If she wasn't eating & had really runny poos I'd prolly take her to the doc. But otherwise I wouldn't worry.

I'm afraid to say it's normal and might not stop in the near future. My DS is nearly 2 (in 3 weeks) and still poos 2 - 4 times a day.:rolleyes: Apparently just a really good metabolism.

Just as above ladies have said, its normal, would'nt worry if I were you. My dd is 14 months and also does 3-4 poos a day, just a great metabolism like her daddy! I hope it actually lasts, then she might not have any weight loss issues in the future!!! :fingerscrossed:

hi could it be teething as she is getting her back molars and has also had nappy rash for the first time.
