I use a mix of BBH Magicalls and fitteds with pul covers but find leaking through the pul.
Have I wrecked my nappies?
DD wore a fitted with BBH pul cover for 4 hours and it was saturated on the outside. I have the same problem with the magicalls and have to change them every 2 hours.
I was them in cold water as I dont have hot in the laundry and use quarter of a scoop of detergent and most times use sanitiser as I have had problem with the smell. And I line dry.
Any advice would be appreciated:)

hmmm....
try a strip wash... (though doesnt sound like that is the problem) .... has it happened all of a sudden?
what washing powder? does it have enzymes or softner in it?
are they old or new?
what sanitizer?

maybe you could email or ring the BabyBeehind mob and ask them?

some are old and some are new, they both tend to do the same but I guess the older ones are worse for it.
I've been using cold power or biozet and the sanitiser is canestan.

I was having the same dramas, have spent l\the last 2 days strip washing my stash and line drying them, hopefully it fixes the problem, i only use cold also and a small bit of detergent.

I might take them to a laundromat and try a strip wash.
I usually do a double rinse after my wash though and I though it would be enough.
But I also thought that was just for absorbency?

it is for absorbency
but the thing is if your nappy is full - then it will leak - PUL is not totally waterproof, just water resistant....
thats why I wondered if the nappy was full.

I had a few dramas with mine leaking too, I did a strip wash and now dont use any washing powder, just pre-rinse and wash then hang in the sun.

Goodluck, I hate leaking nappies!

Pop all your PUL in the dryer on warm (not hot) for 30min. Sometimes the PUL needs shrinking so to speak. As its a plastic knit, the knit sometimes comes loose, by putting it in the dryer it will reseal it.

I've heard of this happening a few times. 30 minutes in the dryer on the cool setting wont hurt them anyway.

mine started to leak when he was wetting too heavily for the nappy inside the covers. is the nappy inside soaked?

yeah she is a heavy wetter and its usually drenched but I had such high hopes for the magicalls. I use a trifold booster in them and they seem to be everyone elses favourites.
I also use some issy bears and they are a little better.
I will do a strip wash then put them on the line, then the drier for half an hour.
Thanks for the advice.

I've heard this as well. The dryer will re-seal any little holes that might have formed in the PUL. Worth a shot, anyway.
