Hi

I am prewashing the numerous BBH minkies i bought today.

The red one, I have washed twice on its own, as instructed and the insides are all pink!

Is this normal?

Will it fade?

I'm too scared to put it in with the other nappies too, as I dont want all my nappies to have pink innards?! Will it be ok, I'm just looking for a little reassurance!

Gosh, I've had a few BBH and never seen any of them run!!! Oh well, pink inner sounds kinda funky anyway:laughing:

thats a relief! it seemed to fade a little the third wash. Its mostly in the rough bit of the inside now, so its not so bad. I think i'll chuck it in with the others on the next wash.

Thanks :D

i bought two red and one black and prewashed with my dark clothes in a wash bag on cold setting to "lock" the colour in. I use these least and when i do use i tend to wash in with my dark clothes in a wash bag, but wash the booster in with the nappies. I haven't had any colour run. Maybe next time try a cold wash to colourfast the darker colours especially when washing with other lighter coloured nappies. sorry don't know how to fix the problem. Maybe try Shannon Lush

that makes sense I always thought you cold wash to stop colours running, but it said to do it in hot. oh wells. the pink appears to be contained to the inside rough microfibre part, and a teeny bit to the rest.

Its funny that only the red runs though  I remember having to do it with my red PUL cover, but not with my red itti.

The microfibre inner of my red magic-all is still pink after about 8 or so months! :p But it never ran into any of the other nappies I washed it with. Plus the suedecloth didn't stain, only the microfibre, so it wasn't like anyone could see it.
