Problem- DD wants to TT in winter

Im wondering if any one has any advice or suggestions. DD just turned 2, though we did a bit of TT before it got to cold, i decided not to push the issue until it warmed up again. Trouble is she asking for her nappy off and to use the toilet, or see us using it and she wants to use it as well. As happy as i am, when ever she sits on the seat she said its cold,wants off and wants nappy on. What do i do?

We have puzzles and books at the toilet. She also has a TT seat she can use to get on and off.

aaargh... I just HAD to put in my 2 cents worth here.
I made the mistake of trying to TT my DD when I was ready and not when she was ready. :banghead:

She wanted to be TT just before she was 2. She was actually dragging me to the toilet and ready to go and happy to sit on it etc. We were going overseas for a 5 week trip and felt that nappies would have been easier and more hygenic for a child that age. (the thought of rushing off to find a public (*clean*) toilet in a foreign country was a big concern to us.
So i basically put my foot down and ignored it. We went and came back, and she is now 3.5 yo and we are STILL struggling with her. She just doesn't want to do it in the toilet, but of course she also isn't a baby so she refuses nappy of any sorts. I'm kicking myself. She did well at one point(and by this i mean not as many "accidents"), but then DS came along and down we went again.

My advice, if she seems ready (and she sounds like it) just let her do it. It's cold outside, but houses these days are warm and you don't have to have her running around undressed.

I'd let her do it or at the least try it since she is keen.

Thanks for that. I have been taking it at her pace... ie taking her to toilet when she asks and not pushing it any other time of day. She is sitting longer now with the distractions of books. Who knows, maybe she will be TT before wintre is out!:fingerscrossed:

I am also having TT troubles. My DD has just turned 2 and says she wants to go to the toilet, sits there for 20 minutes, does nothing, then wees on the floor.Aaggghhhh.My eldest DD was TT by 20months, we had no problems at all. Now its coming in cold, Im not sure what to do about it???
