Whilst we have been talking about smoking etc, the news from the UK this morning is that Freddie Trueman, perhaps one of the greatest bowlers of all time, has sadly died of lung cancer having only been diagnosed in the middle of May this year!:crying:
As a Yorkshire girl and local to where he was living before we emigrated I met him on many occasions. He was always jocular, a bit gruff on occasions but its sad to see a cricket legend die in such a way.
Unless you are a cricket buff, you are probably saying...Freddie Who? My dad for one will be crying into his cornflakes this morning.
