Hi,

I've been using BBH Hemp & Bamboo OSFA nappies since DS was born. Unfortunately I have gotten a bit 'lazy' and have been using disposables when I go out of the house as I find it more convenient as they are slimmer and DS can get a longer wear out of them without a change. I have also been using disposables at night as DS is now sleeping through and I dont like the thought I him being wet for 9+ hours. I really want to get back into using my MCN's and need some advice on how to fold my BBH's for night use to get the most absorbency. I also am looking at purchasing some AIO's that are slim fitting that I can use when I head out of the house. DS is 4 months old and slim and weighs approx. 7-8kgs, I also find he is a heavy wetter.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Hey
why not boost your BBh with a tri-fold bamboo booster? or two if you need it?

I do like my Itti Bitti snap in for a slim fit.

cheers

I can recommend the Itti Bitti D'lish. My DD started wearing size mediums when she was 3 1/2 months old and now at 14 months they are still a good fit on her. Not sure how much she weighed when she started wearing them but now she weighs about 11 kilos and is a solid little girl.

Itti do a trial pack which I can recommend, it gives you 2 nappies - one of each of their 2 types, a snap-in and a sewn-in. I prefer the snap-in's as they are more absorbent , more layers of bamboo, but there are others here who find the sewn-ins hold more.

For night we use a BBH magicall boosted with a bamboo trifold and we get 12 hours without any leaks.

Goodluck.

My DS is 4 months old and 8kg. We have itti bitti snap ins and BBH magicalls. The ittis are very trim (can wear the same clothes as if he's in a disposable) but I usually like to put a magicall on him if we're going out - just because they can last up to 4 hours, whereas the ittis go about 3 hours. HTH :)

I find a trim choice aio when we go out is our bumgenius aio's, but they're not *the* most absorbant in my stash so it depends on what clothes she is wearing as to what will fit under them.:)

Bambooty are also a trim fit and fairly absorbant. The easy dry's fit a booster in pretty neatly if necesary. Good value for money too.

Itti Bitti

Magicalls

Bumgenius AIO- The new pocket version has just been released. You can pop an extra booster inside the pocket to make it last longer. I have the old ones and they're great.

:iagree: Ittit's are lovely and trim
I have to say I LOVE my one and only twinkle lily, I got it on special and it is brilliant.
VERY small sizing though but so so trim and after about 10 washes SO absorbant and no leaks at all.

Hmmm trim nappies I have/have had are:

Itti Bitti D'lish - fantastic until recently when DD started weeing through them (7 months)

Bumgenius OSFA pockets - I add a thin bamboo insert or not absorbent enough

Baby Bullfrogs - SO trim and gorgeous!!!!

Bambooty - although I bought mine too big so still waiting to try the mediums.

Pretty much what everyone else said:o

I've tried both the magicall's and the itti bitti's and have had leaks from both. I'm hoping after a few more washes they will become more absorbent.

Thats odd. How many times did you wash them?

What size are they?

I have only had a leak from an Itti, when I took DS out and left it on longer than I normally would.
And have only had a magical leak when i fed him at night but didnt change him.

They are all medium size and I washed them 5 times before using them. I will try them again this week and see how I go.

maybe you could double up the booster , or re position it closer to the front of the nappy where little boys tend to leak from?

How long did you leave them on for?

Did you use the booster with the magical?

DS was only wearing for about an hour when they leaked.

Had the booster in the Magicall but may have not done it up tight enough. I will definately give them another try, hopefully with more success.

The magicals don't work for us, the legs arn't tight enough (which is odd, because she normally gets tummy gape not leg gape...) and she kinda pee's out the side's, and pooplosions come straight out the legs.

However the ittis work great!

Perhaps your son is between sizes at the moment.

DS didn't fit his med ittis with no leaks until he was at least 5months (though he's still in them now at 14 months).

yeah I;ve found my BBH leak sometimes during day naps (oh great!:hair: then I have to change the bedding also ....grrr) but otherwise they've been fine. The only troubles I've had with Ittis is the sewn-in ones dont seem to last as long (2hrs max), so then they leak after that. But otherwise they're great!

Do you think you little one might just be a heavy wetter and you need to boost? or maybe these nappies arent going to work?

Goodluck

DS is a heavy wetter so needs extra boost. I think the problem with the Magicall's is they leak out the side of the leg so he may need to chubb up a bit before they fit.
