I know how you feel! DH and i Moved away from the sunshine coast (i grew up here). I liked it there ------ but when i left him (a week ago)i moved back to the coast to be closer to family.( staying with them til i find a place)
Now I have no idea where I want to live...!! Dont really like it here anymore to busy, but dont want to go back to ----- area as DH said he wants to move on with a clean slate. I dont want to see him with anyone else on the street.
Id like to jump on a plane and go overseas or just pack my ute up and drive....
But i cant really do that with a toddler lol.
Hope you find a place that you like soon! :hugs:

no, i dont like where i live or that its just myself atm. hopefully i will be able to get a transfer asap but i know it wont be in the same area which will really mess me up greatly esp with transport and daycare access as i would have to find a new daycare for coop.

I live just me and kiddies and two little guinea pigs....lol.....and happy as can be. I live with beaches surrounding and lots of parks etc - best place to be with kiddies.
I say find somewhere new perhaps - sounds like you are looking for a fresh start somewhere.

I'm not happy where I am, my unit is a matchbox but I can't afford anything bigger. Plus, I moved to the gold coast for medical reasons for ds this is much better for him, but I feel very isolated and alone up here.

We've much happier compared to where we were. I love that its just Ds & I. Our place is soooo tiny though, that it my goal in the future... to find a bigger house :).
I must say I am pretty happy where we are right now.... it's just me and DD and it's great!
Whilst I would love a place with a spare room, and a yard/courtyard, I have a foxtel contract til October, so will be here til at least then..... this place meets all our needs, and has a huge park immediately next door as a bonus.... so it's more about filling my wants.... so I'll take my time to look for something else when the time feels right.....
I picked Eltham at random. People said it was nice and it has good schools and trees and parks. I'm leaving the city, and my scummy house in a fab area to move to the suburbs. But I've put in some work, joined a mums group months ago, am moving to an intentional new community with other young families and retirement age couples, and I'm talking with other single mums about sharing with me. I hate living alone. I get lonely. And I like to cook less frequently and for more people IYKWIM. And I really need a personal life, so live in babysitters are essential!
I say start somewhere new, but aim to stay there for the long term. At some point you just have to commit. Decide where you want to being DS up, what school you want him to go to, what kind of friends you want him to have and commit yourself. City or suburb or country. If you're not invested in a place the grass is always greener. Put some roots down and the support system will grow. Whilst DS is little is the best time to start a new life.
No I hate where I live, hate it with a passion.
Maybe if you're not happy in Melbourne you could move somewhere else:sunshine:. After all once they start school you're going to have to settle in an area.

I'm happy where I am at the moment, but I'm going to have to get rid of my little 1 bedroom and rent a 2 bedroom apartment by the time baby is born next year. (can't afford mortgage repayments for a bigger place at the moment!) I'm in Sydney and I'd like to continue living around the harbour or beach. My family are pressuring me to go home to Hobart to raise the little one, but I'm so much more happier in Sydney - I could never go back to live in Apple Isle.
