Their doing my head in!!

Ok, so for one its been a long week. DD1 has had a sleep study that horribly wrong & finished 5 hours early cause she wouldnt settle without her sister. By the time we got home i was sleepy :sleeping: & looking for bed. I left DF to deal with the 3 of them & headed for bed :yes: :D.

Last night DS was fine, no issues from him. Except when he wet through & ended up in our bed. Girls on the other hand OMG!! So unsettled it wasnt funny. I lost count of the amount of times we both got up to them during the night.

And now tonight. One desaster after another.
DS who has gut issues, is unsettled, clingy, spewy. DD2 who has a horrible birth mark on the back of her neck that has been bleeding on & off all day hasnt been asleep in 12 hours & *i think* is finally sleep.
And for once DD1 is behaving & alseep :yelclap:

DF is home from work now so im heading for bed. In a hope for sleep so i can battle doctors appointments tomorrow.

:hugs: :hugs:We had our clinic appt this week, and the nurse reminded me that there IS another growth spurt around the 3week mark. We couldn't decide if that would happen with real age or corrected with pre-term/prems - but I rekon it's their real age!! Lexi has been really clingy and sooky of late, and the sleeping through the night has stopped. At least she is settling OK again now...for the last month she has been hard to get to sleep of a night, and been up until midnight on and off.

:fingerscrossed: it doesn't last for too long for you guys, it's hard enough with 2 - I can't imagine 3!!

Huge hugs to you!! :hugs: I agree your doing a fab job, have no idea how I'd survive the sleep deprivation. If you lived closer I'd offer a free nanny service for you!! lol.

The sleepy bug kicked in at 1am this morning & then in my great wisdom, i woke them up for a feed at 7am. :rolleyes:
Sleep study was to see if she's still having apenoa's (spl) & still needs caffeine, should have results next week.

What a superwomen u r I dont know how u manage to get everything done I know 1 premmie can b a stress but 3 that's a whole different ball game.

I got some sleep, wasnt a whole night but hey.

DF is sending me to the hairdressers tomorrow. Will be my first kid free time.

AND hope your hair appointment, and kid free time, makes you feel like a million dollars.

I know it isn't much, but it can seriously help recharge some batteries, just having time for a decent breather.

Make sure you treat yourself, to a hot chocolate, or coffee, or some other special treat, you can enjoy.


You are doing an awesome job, with them. These first months are truly the absolute hardest. :hugs:
