so, I know you can knit covers... but my knitting skills leave a lot to be desired!

I am however a pretty decent crochet-er .. does anyone know if you can crochet a cover?

TIA
:)

You can indeed. A lovely bubhubber crocheted a pair of longies for DS last winter. Just gorgeous. I haven't a clue how to do it (I am completely hopeless with anything creative), but it can be done.

No idea Ethel :p but i imagine as long as you use wool not polyester it will work well

Yes - any pattern can be crotcheted (FFS SP????)

Take a sewing pattern and place grid tracing paper over the top, and each square is roughly 3 trebles.

Allow a treble space for an edging and don't forget the curves.

Once you've managing a plain pattern, you can then adjust for other patterns to be included

thanks all! and thanks WCM!

so you think I could do it in treble?? YAY!! I didn't think that would be a tight enough weave?! they will make up very fast then :)

I just might be able to enter the next swap maybe :D

I was going to say grab the latest copy of lets knit (its a UK knitting mag) but I'm wrong, it was from a couple of months ago, they had a soaker special, with a gorgeous spotty one which if I'm having a girl I need to find someone to make for me lol Check ravelry?
I can only just make a simple flower, but I'm holding out hopes I might one day be able to crochet properly
