Hi all,I have decided I will be studying next year. But it means my daughter will have to change schools as she will need before and after school care, and the school where she is at present doesn't have this.

She is so upset about it,but it's the only way I can study next year as we don't have any other options.

Am I being selfish?,because at the moment I feel really terrible.

Thanks for reading I really had to get this off my chest.

have you tried maybe looking at childcare/early learning centres that offer after school care that do pick ups from schools? that may be an option if you dont want her to move schools:yes:

also i work in before/after school care and my one is at the local catholic schools but does a bus pick up of kids from the local state school:) so might be interesting to look into schools that may have bus pick ups from other schools etc:D

and dont feel guilty your doing a great thing for your future and your daughters:hugs:

Thanks for your reply ezzza,I have rang around every where and they all say they are not willing to drive the 10kms to pick her up and drop her off.

It's really hard because where she is at the moment is a small country school with only 100 kids. And she is really happy there.

oh thats not good at all:no:

hmmmmm. does maybe any of her friends parents live out the way that this before/after school care is? anyway she can get a lift to the after school care after school or anything??

or maybe are you willing to pay someone to do nannying after school from pickup till your home so she can stay at the school?
i have no other advice sorrrrry

guess it all depends how much you want your daughter to stay at this school etc:yes::yes: but if she has to change dont forget kids do adjust pretty well, ive changed schools 4 times and i adjusted fine once i got there:)

how old is your daughter just wondering?

Ezzza232 i was going to say the same thing about getting a friends parent to drop her somewhere at the after school care etc...

Is there a chance you study from at home? Or isnt that a option?
