Have you let the phone/electricity/bank/water company and school know your situation.
I have found that it is best to be up front and ask what they can do to help you. If you are a good customer they are often quite understanding and will allow you to set up some sort of payment plan.

I would be inclined to get my mortgage payments put on hold and pay off other bills if possible. Make an appointment with your bank manager asap and explain your financial hardship. What good is a house of your own if you have no food I say.

Luckily your rates are quite minimal, perhaps discuss with the council the possibility of two partial payments.

:hugs: it is hard once you get behind and your income is already less than your expenses. Don't be afraid to contact your local charity like St Vinnies for some help, even a food voucher could ease the burden a little.

As SammieSnail suggested, ring the companies that you owe money to,and ask for a payment plan.I often find myself in a similar situation,so I ring my electricity company etc, if I can't afford the full payment, and they break it down into fortnightly installments which are much more manageable than paying it all at once.
Good luck :)

Hi I agree with the previous post. We are on payment plans for water, gas and electricity and it has made our lives much easier. You just have to make a ph call give them your details and they will send you out the card which I just use at the post office once a week. We just found that by paying $20 a week we were way ahead with our water bill so we had all of July free!
Are you able to go on a payment plan with your rates also? You might want to check that out.
All the best I know its really hard, just know there are lots of people doing it tough, I know that doesn't help but your'e not alone, and if you make a few phone calls it is a amazing the stress it can relieve!
