Hi I am Sarah

I am Mum to Alan who is 9yrs whose pg was not even planned and then when Alan was 2.5yrs we decided to TTT#2 and after 18mths went to see the Dr who diagnosed me with Poly Cystic Ovarian Sydrome and after a few rounds of Clomid and the help of a great Gyno I fell pg with Emily who was born in Oct 99

When we decided it was time for #3 we knew that we would have problems as one of the awful side affects I have from PCOS is weight gain and no matter how hard I try to lose just can't do it

I have been told not to even consider ttc until I have lost at least 15kg which is so hard and at times I feel so down.

Does anyone else have PCOS or any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have PCOS and was diagnosed in May when we too had trouble ttc #2. I did lots of reading and went onto Vitex and my ob also put me onto metformin. The metformin is supposed to be very good for helping you lose weight and prime your ovaries to help ovulation. Anyway after just one cycle I was lucky enough to fall pregnant. Not sure which one did the trick but it worked for me. Hope this helps.
PS there was also a thread not that long ago called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, might be worth a read.

I did try Metformin but it gave me really bad headaches :(
