can i get help

since becoming a vegetarian i have been getting thrush. i cant keep buying thrush treatments because well there freaking expensive.

im eating cranberries (which help ward against thrush)

what vitamin or mineral am i not getting enough of that i keep getting thrush.

what else can i put on to get rid of it or at least stop scratching.

ive put it in here because im still breastfeeding so anything you "recommend" would have to be safe while feeding.

if i really have to i will see a doctor but i hate anyone seeing or being near there because of my traumatic vaginal birth with ruby that im still struggling with to this day. (im even avoiding sex again)

please help :o

Have you tried a Candida Diet? Candida is a yeast like fungus that causes thrush. My vegetarian friend went on a Candida diet with success.

I think the main idea is that you avoid sugar and simple carbohydrates. I just googled Candida Diet and there is lots of info out there. Probiotics are helpful aswell.

:hugs: Thrush is horrible.

You can apply natural yoghurt to the thrush too. Much cheaper than Canesten. I did and it helped:o

Eat yoghurt too, I used to get it a lot expecially after antibiotics. I used the oral tablet and then the cream and got rid of it once and for all. Did you know that your baby can get oral thrush and it gets into your nipples. So maybe go to the GP and treat you both, that may stop it in its tracks. And dont worry its a normal thing. :)
