No, definetly not! You can use betadine cold sore treatment though.

Why can't you use zovirax?

I suffer from coldsores especially in the winter months quite often. Currently though I am using Virasolve which is an alternate to Zovirax.

No one has said to me not to use it so I am wondering why you can't??

No you can't, and not Virasolve either.
I know how you feel I get coldsores constantly.
You shouldn't take antivirals when pregnant (which Zovirax is) and the problem with virasolve is the local anesthetic it has in it.
I generally just put up with them, if I'm desperate I put metho on them :eek:

I cant see why it would affect the pregnancy or baby in that matter :confused:
