So I've tried to search for a wetbag that I can keep nappies in until time to wash them, but cant find any that are the size I want. I want one big enough that it will be like bin liner size, as in I want to get a bin and line it with this bag with a draw string type thing at the top so I can keep it in Noah's room without it stinking it out. Sooo I'm going to try and make one myself. My question is, what would be the best materials to use. WHat's a good waterproof style material I could line it with? some kind of PUL? and then do you think I could line the outside just with a basic cotton or something?
Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated thanks! :)

All of the wetbags that I have are PUL stitched with polyester thread. If you were planning on doing a drawstring top then there would be no problems with wicking out through a zip, so you would have to worry about reinforcing it or stitching it differently etc - so I'd just do that :)

thanks tam-i-am, so drawstring would be better than zip? So can you buy PUL stitched material? sorry i'm just so confused by it all, very new to this :D And if yes, is that what I would line the bag with? and then just use a fleece or cotton outer?

If you google ******* pronto they have one that goes in the nappy bucket that you lift straight out into the machine.

The one the above is the one from bambino mio, they are more a meshy type thing, I personally love the idea but question the use of mesh.

If you buy a printed or coloured PUL you wouldn't have to have a different outer, and the PUL is waterproof so you wouldn't need to line it with anything. I'd say in a nappy bucket it would be easier to have a drawstring.
Oh, and your best bet for PUL is online, its pretty close to impossible to find it otherwise :D

I have seen these available online before - the pul style not the mesh ones . Their were some on ozebaby a while ago but I can't see them now . I have also seen them in an online nappy shop but I can't remember which one . Not very helpful sorry :o

Hi, Have you looked at Darlings Down Under? they have a few different types with draw strings, eg Monkey Doodlez, Bummies, Happy Heiney

The Large - 58.5 x 56cm Bummies one is abut $23 witch might work out cheaper than making it ur self.
Hope that helps

Check out the wee wuns (all one word) & look under liners for nappy bins.

They are also out of stock of the monkey doodlez one but have 2 other types.
