I'm just thinking of where I would like to settle me and my son. I live in Strathpine but by no means intend on staying here forever!
I'd love to hear from anyone in any suburb in Brisbane and surrounds.
Why do you love/hate where you live?
Are there parks, good shops, transport ect and most importantly good schools?
Tell me about where you live :D

we are at Albany Creek.
It isn't so far from Strathpine though.
I like the schools that we have access to.
We are on a good bus line to the city, although Strathpine has the train. We drive to Enoggera to get the train if we need to.
We are close enough to Chermside, Strathpine and Brookside shops if we want Target, Big W, Myer type shops. The local shops are good, a choice of Coles and Woolworths.
The traffic isn't too bad, and there is a mix of older type housing and the more modern.
I don't live in Brisbane but my friend does. She lives in Yeronga. Beautiful, very close to the river and not far from the city. Nice neighbourhood.
hi There
Its Haley Here. We met the other week at Strathpine Park. We have recently moved to Redcliffe from Newcastle and we love the area. We live right near the water, great man made lagoon for the kids, fantastic parks all the way along the water, especially Scarborough is awesome, but pricey aswell. Westfield shopping centre is at Northlakes, 10 mins away, and we are only 1 hour from Sunshine Coast which is great. There is a train station about 5kms away but loads of bus stops all over the place. Loads of schools, hard to pick which one to send Jackson to actually.
Hope this helps a bit.
Haley...
There are so many lovely areas in Brisbane.
Do you have to stay in a certain area (ie. north, south, west)? What's your budget?
I live in the Redlands, on the Bayside of brissy. I have been here all my life, so has my close family. We love it here
Oooh! I would LOVE to live in Redland Bay/Victoria Point area. My cousins lived there before moving to the Gold Coast and it was LUFFLY!!! :D But unfortunately its too far away from where DP works!
I have applied for a job in Manly West/Wynnum. But DP works about 20mins from Ipswich so we would be looking to live somewhere inbetween IF I do get this job...any suggestions?! :)

We are moving back to Mango Hill/North Lakes area hopefully in the near future. The area is nice, but the people are a bit snobbish (JMO) however compared to the people where we are now, I will be quite happy with snobbish!
We are thinking about high school for DD1 (which is is 2 years) and feel that the school up there is heaps better. DH didn't mind the primary school cirriculum.
Amy I am at Collingwood Park, which is about 15 mind from Ipswich and hate the area. A large section of the area's population, at least the ones I have come across are direspectful and foul mouthed. That unfortunately reflects in children. Again, JMO..

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Bub Hub. I live in Deception Bay with my husband and 2 kids.
I love D'bay, it is close to the city, close to my beloved Sunshine Coast (I used to live there) and has a non city feel.
Mum23girls, we used to live in North Lakes and moved to Deception Bay to get away from the snobs..lol (JMO) and while we liked it there, couldn't handle the attitudes of some people.
Looking forward to chatting with some of you..

hi, i live in a rural town in queensland, its great. The lifestyle is quiet and peaceful, its cheap to buy a home and rent is around $120 per week. We feel safe here and its a great place to raise the kids. Edit: sorry just realised you meant brisbane. Oops.
