Dear Bubhub,

I am relatively new to Australia and hoping you can recommend 'online new baby gift lists'?

I have a number of friends and family in the UK who would purchase from the site, so it needs to accept international orders for delivery in Sydney.

In the UK the main baby stores and department stores have lists, such as Mamas & Papas and Mothercare. I am hoping there is an equivalent here.

Many thanks.:)

Babies Galore do it.

Well not as good as Mamas and Papas.

YOu can set it up online or do what I did.
I went in and met with a consultant and she then out it all together as a registry.
I had a password and all my friends and fmaily could go online and order.

They used overseas Credit.

Hi girls :),

Any updates about that?

My friends and family are based in France and they would like to purchase gifts from the internet.

Do you have any websites to recommend?
It looks that its not very popular in Australia :( .

Cheers,
San

Hi San,

Bambini Pronto is a site I have come across recently with a gift list. www.bambinipronto.com.au (http://www.bambinipronto.com.au)

Your family will probably find items quite expensive here though compared to the lower prices in France, and the issue of the $ being strong against the Euro. I mostly order items from Europe and my friend in France sent me some really nice Petit Bateau clothing that would cost a fortune here.

It could be worth using the gift/wish list on www.amazon.fr (http://www.amazon.fr) or .co.uk where you can get free or cheap shipping to Oz now. There's always the gift card option for somewhere such as www.mothercare.com.au (http://www.mothercare.com.au).

Hope this gives you some ideas.

We set up our registry on www.thankyou.com.au

It doesn't actually sell the items themselves but allows you to build a list from multiple stores (both online and retail), and provide a link. It allows someone to indicate they intend to buy a particular gift and put it 'on hold' for 48 hours. They must confirm they've bought it else it will go back on the list. You can also use it to take financial contributions in many different countries - useful if you'd prefer people to contribute to big ticket items like prams, cots, car seats etc.

Bambino pronto are also awesome!

I found babyzone direct also had some good prices.

What an exciting time!!!

Thanks for the update :)

I like bambinipronto.com.au (http://www.bambinipronto.com.au/)
thankyou.com.au (http://www.thankyou.com.au/) can be a good alternative :)

Hi there,

I also used ThankYou's gift registry for my baby shower and really worked great! My guests appreciated the convenience of having a list of gifts that they can choose from and they can always pick one that they can afford.

oh, i know this thread is a bit old but I just wanted to share this blog (http://blog.thankyou.com.au/a-baby-shower-gift-guide-for-guests/) that might help baby shower guests in buying something for the baby!
