Hi all. Just thought I share my anti-acne remedy that has worked wonders for me.
During my pg and after giving birth, I suffered from severe breakouts of acne. Breast-feeding DD meant that I couldn't use the acne medication that was available out there. I was terribly depressed because the acne was so bad and people would comment on it.
Anyway, both MIL and my own mother suggested that I apply breastmilk to the affected areas. I was aversed to the idea at first and also very skeptical but tried it anyway. I was very desperate for any baby-safe treatment of the condition. To my surprise, my skin cleared up beautifully after a few applications. I'm still using BM now and my skin is absolutely glowing. I can't believe I have my own pharmacy at my breasts...LOL:laughing:.
I now truly believe BM is the best treatment for hormone-related acne:yes:. It's free, readily available to BF mums and it's also a very good astringent for beauty-concious mums.
To mums out there with the same condition, be open-minded to anything that works and is harmless to you and your bub. You've got nothing to lose to try.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
