Sheer Bliss

It can be pretty daunting when you first start, especially with others telling you your baby is unsettled/not gaining enough weight/too skinny etc etc. So I wanted to share our story.
I have b/g twins, DD2 was 100g heavier at birth and the first born. She sleeps 2hrs at a time, feeds 3-4hrly, sleeps through the night sometimes, hardly ever cries, lots of wet nappies and is a really happy, smiley baby. DS2 cries ALL the time, wants to be held to sleep, feeds every 2hrs, more frequently at night and seems to be cranky often.
Both are exclusively breastfed I drink 1-2cans of coke some days, and also eat chocolate, onion, garlic, dairy and wheat. DS2 will puke at every second feed, DD2 hardly ever. He feeds for 15-35mins (sometimes an hour at night) and she feeds for 10-20mins.
In the last 3weeks, DS2 has gained 200g per week, DD2 100g per week and he is now 500g heavier than her (so has gained 600g more than her since birth) they are 12 weeks old now. (i didn't have them weighed every week, it was 3weeks between having them weighed)
So despite being fed the same thing they are totally different, different weight gains, different everything. and BOTH are perfect, both are getting enough milk and both are growing exactly as they should. I have no issues with suppy, and have enough milk to feed 2 babies, no problems.
I wanted to put all this down and get it out there that all babies are different, and we shouldn't expect them to gain the 'average' amount of weigh. Mums often know best, so trust your instinct and your body and you WILL be successful.
