Birthday Winge! its not the same

it my b;day tommorow and i miss my family:crying: will this whole moving get easier!!, i was back in the uk this time last year for a holiday so i had all my friends and family around it was a great day!

a friend of mine persuaded me to have a night out for my b'day as its my first propper one in oz, and everyones pulling out now, sick, no sitters etc etc, i have always made a fuss of them on theirs..not that i want a fuss just some fun!

I know exactly where you are coming from. Your ties here are not the same, the strength of friendships etc are not the same so people do not feel the same loyalty.:gloomy:

Thats what happens I suppose when we decide to move 11,000 miles. I don't like it either, and I have found, especially now I am pg that the sacrifice is too big for me. We are having to start all over again when we get back to the UK, but although that scares the hell out of me, I know we shall be supported and people will move heaven and earth to be available.

If I lived anywhere near you I would come and visit and celebrate your birthday with you. Try and have a good day. maybe a trip to have a massage or something then a bottle of bubbly in a hot bath with your dp and some chocolate.:thumbsup:

If its any consolation my last b'day was spent somewhere between Dubai and Sydney as I flew back from London.....I lost half the day in time difference and DD was 5 months old and getting restless....horrid horrid horrid
