On this topic.....has anyone found soap nuts can stain their nappies:confused: Twice lately I have done a load with soap nuts (in the little drawstring bag) and bits must come out of the bag somehow because I find little crumbs all through the nappies. Anyway, I use a front loader and I think a couple of boosters may have had a soap nut fragment sitting on them which has created a stain. It doesn't come out in the sun either, but last time I used Sard just on the spots and they faded away to almost nothing.

Apart from that, to answer the original post, I use Earth Choice liquid or a couple of expensive eco friendly types (can't remember the names) and I use half the amount advised. I try not to use detergent everytime though....hence the soap nuts. I reckon plain water would do just as well as the nuts:(
