Walking more than Crawling. For my DS he took his first steps at 11mths and was fully walking by 12mths.

I didnlt say DD was walking until she was doing it without crawling, although her transition was pretty quick. One day, she was walking around furniture and the next she was walking independently.

Haha Kayla werent you one that used to say they are not classed as a walker until they are walk indepedently??? Maybe it wasnt you LOL i classed H as a walker when he hardly crawled anymore.. but if Jaylen can walk he is a walker just not a full time walker YET :p but im sure your safe to say it as he will be walking full time within a week or two anyway xx

Megan, Nope not me :p that said that. Ive had this walking discussion with my mum many times and i have said nah Jays not walking his just learning to blah, blah, blah and she was like he is walking, wat he is doing is walking, u cant say walking the full lenth of a room isnt walking so she kind of changed my mind. Just interested to hear when others classed there children as walking. I hope Jay is full on walking soon, i no i shouldnt be but im getting impatient its like arr ur 15 mths come on, walking is such a fun stage, i wanna be able to run around the park with him, kick a ball etc. etc.

For me...a walker is when they prefer to walk more than/over crawling.

Walking...however is when they can (even just learning to) walk...but still prefer to crawl.

Maybe able to walk more than 10steps, and starting to do this frequently. This was about 10mths for my DS and 15mths for my DD.

yep, walking more than crawling. DD stands cruises heaps and walks from thing to thing if its like 4 steps awy, but otherwise crawls. Im not ccalling her a walker just yet

I'd say when they're walking more than crawling.

But I'd say they CAN walk from the first few steps.
