Just wondering how you keep your baby from rolling over (or ending up the wrong way round ie, feet where head should be:rolleyes: ) and kicking the blankets off. DD won't stay still enough to get to sleep and no matter how tight I put the blankets on they come off:banghead: The only thing that has stopped it is wrapping her up but we cant do that for ever right??? (or can we....:D )

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

argh.. i know exactly where you are coming from... my DD has a habit of doing it too.... drives me nuts.... my DD wont let me wrap her though.

The only thing that works for us is a brought her one of those sleeping bag things and she wears that to bed everynight with her normal pj's on under it.... plus we have a oil heater in her room... so i know she is always warm.

I dont really think there is much else you can do.... as long as bubs is warm then i guess we will just have to wait till they grow out of it.:banghead:

I'm coming to Melbourne and was wondering the same thing. Great question babybungee. I bought a sleeping bag but I'm worried it's too big and she'll somehow get her arms out of the holes and roll around in it and suffocate. How safe are the sleeping bags?

I would say they are quite safe.... I have heard of people sewing up the arm holes even.

You can buy long sleeved sleeping bags aswell if you are really concerned.

The one I got is long sleeved. Thanks for the reassurance.;)

hehe...just remembered, my DD is wearing her sleeping bag in my avatar:D
We just put her in a singlet, bodysuit and pyjamas, then the sleeping bag and a blanket on top, which she usually gets off. And we have a fan heater with a thermostat that goes on and off throughout the night to keep the room warm.

They are great  DD has been sleeping in a size 1 long sleeved sleeping bag (Big W one) for ages now, she was just into 00's when I started putting her in it. I was just too lazy to go buy a smaller one, and at the rate she's growing she'll be in size one soon anyway...(75cm & 8.9kg at 7.5mths)...We haven't hand any probs with her getting her arms out and even if she did somehow manage it the neck zips up far enough and has a button thing, so she can't slip inside.

Blanket sleepers from snugtime ... they were an absolute lifesaver for me! They even have them up to size 7! My ds was in size 2 at 6 months old and I couldn't get a sleeping bag to fit properly, so in desperation, I used to put him in two pairs of woollen tights (pretty pale yellow girly ones!) a long sleeved body suit, flannelette pjs, a cardigan and a beanie! he would constantly kick his blankets off and it meant broken sleep for me! I need my sleep!

The blanket sleeper is like all in one pjs made of warmly lined polarfleece. They are expensive, but I only needed one as it dried quickly and I never regretted spending $45 on one as I knew he would be ok overnight!

It took both of my kids until they were around 18 months old before they stopped "sleeping like a clock"!

Yep I agree a sleeping bag is defintely a worthwhile investment!

My DD is 19 months old and in a big bed and she still kicks off the blankets/ends up sideways....so frustrating because now she's fully mobile we can't use sleeping bags anymore.

welll my lovely life saving ladies!!!:D

we went and bought a sleeping bag last night (just a cheap one from best and less) We put DD to bed at 7.50 and she was asleep by 8.30 (goog for first time I thought) she woke up once at 1.00 and fell back asleep and then at five for her feed. Both times round she went back off to slep and she was the right way up all night!!!!:p

Go the sleeping bag:yelclap:
