Hi ladies,

Im sorry for TMI but i have a question :)

Today is day 15 of what is normaly a 31 day cycle. I have been using an OPK since day 11 and am getting a negative result each day.
I am yet to test today as it is too early but I just went to the loo and got a lot of clear stringy CM (i told you TMI).
I was always under the impression that the cm changed to this consitency at the time of O. If that was the case though wouldnt I have gotten a positive result from the opk yesterday?
I thought I would O on sun/Mon so I didnt BD last Night. I am kicking myself now, we did it on Mon and Wed and starting today we were going to kick it up to daily. I really hope I havent missed this months opportunity. I wont be seeing DH till about 9.30tonight:hissy:

Do you think I have already o'd or does the cm mean its getting ready to happen??

Jo

Well i did the OPK and got a positive result. That was at 10.30am.
Do you think Ive missed my chance if I wont get home till 9.30?

I feel really dissapointed as hubby suggested we BD this morning but it was 5.30 and i thought we would be ok till tonight. I could cry :(

I wouldn't stress. There is still time. A positive result simply means you are likely to ovulate in the next 1-3 days so I am sure you have not missed the boat yet.

Read the following info:

Ovulation tests (http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ovulationtests.html) - or ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) - are excellent tools for predicting ovulation, a woman's most fertile time during her menstrual cycle. Unlike BBT charting, ovulation tests anticipate ovulation - not just confirm that ovulation has taken place.
Ovulation tests (http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ovulationtests.html)work by detecting luteinizing hormone (LH). Just preceding ovulation, women experience an "LH surge" - a sudden, dramatic, and brief rise in the level of luteinizing hormone. Ovulation tests detect the LH surge, allowing you to accurately predict when you will ovulate. A positive result on an ovulation test (http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ovulationtests.html) means that the woman will most likely become fertile over the next three days - with peak fertility at 36 hours following the LH surge.

Hope you catch that egg over the weekend!

I agree with mum2zane.

The EWCM can last for up to 5 days (it usually starts before you ovulate) and a positive OPK means you are about to ovulate. I think you're still in with a shot and if i were you I would definately BD tonight and even tomorrow.
Good luck!
