Hi all just wanting some advice on beds i am at my wits end :banghead: trying to figure out what to do here goes
I have a 7 month old and am pregnant with my 2nd Kyanna my first will be 16 months when bub is born so i am just looking at what type of bedding that i could use for bub no 2 as im not buying another cot for the few months Kyanna will be in it.
I think i need to get somthing that the 2nd bub can sleep in for 7 months so then Kyanna is 2 and i can put her in to a big bed.
At what age did you put you kids in to big bed? she will have the bed rails on the bed
Any suggestions please:smiliedance:
I put Anna into a bed at 16 months and she was fine with it. Maybe buy a blow up bed with high sides?
There was one on ebay a while ago, il post the link on here. The blow up bed is quite good as it's low to the ground and you don't really wanna be spending loads on a toddler bed. It was winnie the pooh aswel which was quite cute. It went for $37 which is brilliant I think. You really should have a look at it!! Try and find one similair.

That is the link.
oh actually, just looking, the same person selling this bed is selling another one! Go to his other items and have a look.
Hope this helps.

Mine all went into single beds. Jacob @ 10mths, Brooke @ 12mths and Matthew @ 8mths. I think the earlier you move them, the easier it is.

We put DS1 on a mattress on the floor when he was 12 months as he wouldn't sleep through in his cot, when then moved the mattress onto the bed a few months after. Have you got a port-a-cot? If not you might be able to pick one up cheap and you could sleep the baby in it until the cot is free.

I put DD1 into a bed at 18 months and she was fine.
She is currently having dramas (well, actually for the last 8 months) sleeping in her own room, and has been in the lounge room since. That blow-up bed looks great...might just solve our problem!
Sorry, went off track a bit there....:o
Do you have a protacot you could use for the new bub? Alot of people do it, and just get a bit of foam cut to fit fr a mattress. Not as expensive as a whole new cot, and you can use it when/if you travel!
well I am probably not much help as we are a co-sleeping family so we wouldnt have any dramas here but you could maybe keep bub2 in a bassinet for 6mths or more (depending on how big he will be) a friend of mine used one for about 6mths and it only cost her about $100 (could definately get one cheaper though).
Also you probably already know about this but it would be better to transition bub1 into a bed at least 6mths before or after bub2 arrives as it may really upset her.
Anyway sounds like everyone has a few good ideas so good luck.:)
