our little family is thinking of moveing to the BANANA- lol i think its funny! hehe- area... i dont know ne1 there but its for his work... so i was just woundering if there was ne1 on here up there... if so tell me wot its like please and lets have a chat!:wave:

Hi, I'm from Moura originally, and I still have family there. It's a very peaceful town with LOTS of friendly people with children. Not much in the way of shops (one small supermarket, couple of cafes, couple of hairdressers, Retravision, ANZ, Westpac banks, one chemist) but plenty of real estate agents because the town is going through a major growth spurt! House prices are going up because of the huge number of people moving there for work. There are also plans to build a shopping complex, but in the meantime, a lot of people drive to Biloela once in a while for specific shopping needs. It's a bigger town, also a nice place to live. Moura also has heaps of sporting facilities - Olympic pool, soccer, footy, tennis, lawn bowls, pony club, cricket, squash, golf and probably others, but I can't remember!
As for Banana... there is NOTHING there... one pub, one school, a service station and a post office. Um, that's about it! Oh, and there's a statue of a yellow bull in the middle of town - that's what the town was named after, a bull called Banana.
