DDs just had her 12 month shots, the nurse gave me some panadol and said she will develop a fever and to give her some when I got home:confused: Which I havn't. She has been fine with all her other shots but the way the nurse made out was that she was going to be quite unwell for a few days?

On a side note, the Dr made me feel bad for not vaxxing and delaying it for so long, I am apparantly putting other kids at risk including my own. Got into a little debate Lol. Well its done now, not an easy decision but we can only try and do whats best.

So all I really want to know is, did you give panadol straight after any shots?

With my DS's first couple of lots of shots I gave him a dose just before hand. When he showed no reaction to any of the needles I didn't bother anymore. With the girls neither of them ever got Panadol before or after their vax.

These days I'm of the belief to only medicate when absolutely necessary, so I would wait until/if he gets a fever before giving Panadol.

Just keep in mind that even if your bub doesn't show any major signs of reaction he still might be a little out of sorts for a day or two. Or he might not, none of my kids ever were.
