View Full Version : What does the F in BFP stand for?

Frog got me up the duff!!!!

Thought I was out tuesday (13dpo) cause of spotting and temperature drop, and took a test after DP left for work on wednesday (14dpo) and it was a mega feint +ve.

Have had no symptoms at all except:
8dpo bloating (blamed this on cashew nuts)
and a headache from 7dpo till present.

Took another test this morning again very feint but slightly darker. Headache even worse, and boobies bigger and on their way to being sore. Also have twinges of wanting to peuk but nothing severe. DP turned the light on in the kitchen and i nearly did a projectile.

To break the news, I bought him a book on "How to be a pregnant father, a small frog cuddly toy and a note saying "You may need this book over the next eight months" I left them outside the bathroom for him while he was in the shower and stayed in bed. First positive sign..I didn't hear him scream like a girl!
He came in and said "are you trying to tell me something". I think he was still in shock cause I told him Tuesday my AF had arrived.

He's had a silly scared grin on his face and said "two thumbs up.. if only I had more thumbs!" and "you've made me the happiest man in the world" then burst out laughing. I think its going to take him some time to get used to.

I'm a very happy Toad, but it's a very bizarre feeling.
Good luck with all the other girls expecting BFP's.

p's. I called my Dad in Canada and he said even if it's a feint line it's a positive (he's a doctor). So there is hope for the girls that see feint lines.

Thanks so much everyone.

Feeling a little odd still..
Nearly puked up and passed out atwoolworths.
All the symptoms have come today.. not looking forward to the next two months.

Fingers crossed for the Frogs sake it's got pink bits.. he said we could only have a toadlet if it was a girl.
I'm secretly hoping for a boy.

You know your chances of having a boy are quite high with both of you being technically minded...

Boys have way more fun toys.. lego, mechano, ninja turtles, transformers, trains!!

*getting too excited*

I HATED dolls when I was little, and hated having to play dolls house with my little sister, don't know what I'll do if it's a girl... I'll just get her rock climbing really young so she doesn't have any interest in dolls.

Speaking of having boy or girl - what are you supposed to have when you BD a few days before O?? I can't remember whether it is the girl spermies that are the stayers and boys that are the sprinters or the other way around . . .

Little_Toad
30-06-2006, 14:45
Girlies!!

I had playtime 3 days before and the day before.

I want toi know which ones would be there ready and waiting for the egg?
The girl spermies from 3dsays before or the boy spermies from 1 day before??

Pixie
30-06-2006, 15:19
girl spermies live longer I think and the boys have more stamina could be a girly

Lizzie0808
30-06-2006, 15:29
