Does anyone else find Aussie tradesmen a pain in the but? I feel like :banghead: as I've been trying to get a plumber to install my flued gas heater for over a month now. 1st plumber was all set to come and didn't show when he was meant to, then I rang round loads of others... guess what, most of them don't do gas let alone know what a flued heater is  Next plumber came round to quote and never got back although he was sure he would blablabla and now I have been in all arvo waiting for no. 3, the kids missed their paid-for tennis lesson and he rang to postpone until tomorrow.... which is when my baby shower is planned. Luckily DH will be home working on a job application, so I don't have to cancel by baby shower... but I am so pished off as I am due next Thursday and the house is flippin cold!
Rant over ...

Don't get me started on blooming tradesmen.

Melb have some wonderful reliable tradies but ACT oh my god - how unproffessional or unreliable!! No sympathy if they cry they don't have work or any money and all that blah blah.

Well, you'll just have to move to Melbourne then!
I have always been lucky with lovely, friendly, prompt and reliable tradies... so I hope the odds aren't against me and the next disaster I'll get a load of duds  lol

Good luck, hope you get the heater soon!

We've got great tradies here too in Brisbane.

If I need a builder, plumber or electrician we've got reliable guys who'll come round same day.

When you do find good tradesmen though, hold onto them !:D

Hehe well, the plumber is coming on Wednesday (my due date lol) and it turns out he's a pom too! I don't know if this is still a bad reflection on Aussie tradesmen as he isn't an Aussie... or maybe he is just really well integrated and Aussiefied :p
Anyhow, looks like we have a dire shortage of plumbers in Perth, either way! :fingerscrossed: I don't go into labour when he's here coz I want to stay at home as long as possible!
