I have a four month old daughter who is showing the signs of teething, irritable :devil6: , dribbling :gloomy: , chewing her fingers :shame: , and is off her food ( she has started solids and was eating really well but now off them) I am just wondering if this is too early to start and how long to expect before they come through, she is off the scales in the weight and height chart so she is a big girl. all help would be great thankyou...:fingerscrossed:
Sounds like teething to me. No, she is certainly not to young to be having teeth come through. I think every bub is different, but it usually takes about 2 weeks for my dd to cut a tooth.

She could possibly be teething, but it still might be a while until there is any sign of a tooth... My DS started with the same sort of symptoms at about 4 months and didn't cut his first tooth until nearly 8 months... The teeth might just be moving around and causing her some discomfort... Try some Bonjela...
By the way, welcome to Bub Hub
My DD is teething too and has been for a few weeks (she is only 3.5months) but it sure is teething, her gums are swollen where she is chewing and I can see white lines. My DD1 teethed for 9 months before she cut her first tooth, God I hope DD2 isn't like that!

It's never to early for them to be teething. Some babies are born with teeth. My DS1 cut his first tooth at 15 weeks, DS2 cut his first tooth at 14 weeks and DD has been teething since she was 2 weeks old, she still hasn't got any though. The best way to tell is to have a feel of their gums and see if you can feel any really hard lumps, and if you can look in her mouth see if you can see any white peaks on her gums.
Good luck, I hope I've helped.
