Shoes for chubby feet???

I'll be watching this thread...DD isn't yet in shoes (though she's probably about a month from it!)...but she has the chubbiest feet ever!

I had/still have the same problem with Lucas.
Pig trotters I call them...his Poppy has them, I have them and we've handed them down to poor Lukey!
I went to a specialist children's footwear store and the only pair that would fit him in the whole store were a pair of Clarks with the velcro top so you could adjust the width at the top of the shoe (at the time he was fitted he was the widest fitting Clarks makes!)
I was then told to come in early for sandals for Summer and found a pair by Bare ? (sorry can't remember) again with the velcro to adjust the width.
Lucas is now 2 and just gone into a size 9 but I'm still having problems with the instep and width...no bargain bin shoes for Lukey!!
Just try calling children's specialist shoe stores - the ones that have trained childrens footwear fitters working in them - the ones that stock Clarks are usually pretty good.
