My soon to be 6month old likes to be wrapped when he goes to sleep. If he is unwrapped he dosen't sleep well or that long and is then restless.
My problem is that he's getting to big for the wrap, and yes i can make some bigger but i'm in two minds.
Shouldn't i start to loose the wrap and maybe start controlled crying but then he goes to sleep easy with the wrap, why put him thru controlled crying.
If anyone has any ideas on how to tackle this, i would love the advice.
My little bubs also loved to be wrapped.at 5 months i slowly started to loosen the wrap and have 1 arm out.I did this during his day sleeps and little by little he adjusted to the change and within 2 weeks the wrap dissapeared. Hope this helps.

Liv was wrapped up until 6 months. It used to really stress me out, but in the end, I just thought what harm was it doing? I was going to continue to wrap her until she was ready to not be wrapped. That was at 6 months and basically, she would be free of her wrap because I had her in the cot. That was when I knew she was ready, I just started putting her to sleep without her wrap and it was fine, there was no dramas.
I had tried previously to put her to sleep with no wrap, one arm out etc, but it never worked and just wasn't worth the stress on both of us.
Let your little one guide you, they usually know when the time is right.

I wrapped Brooke until she was 11mths, but I used bunny rugs instead of wraps. When she outgrew those, I used a single sheet that had been cut in half, it was the perfect size. When I did stop wrapping her, I just waited until she decided that she didn't like it anymore.
