Hi Everyone,
I am a midwifery student in Toowoomba. I am looking for pregnant women who would be willing to take part in a continuity of care arrangement with me on top of your usual hospital antenatal care or obstetrician visits. This would include some antenatal visits with me, attendance at the birth, as well as postnatal visits.
What will you get out of it? "Continuity of care is know to decrease the need for pharmacological pain relief in labour and surgical birth rates (both operative vaginal birth and caesarean section) while increasing breastfeeding rates and maternal satisfaction" (Australian College of Midwives 2007).
