Afternoon lovely ladies.

Yet another question on Maybe Baby for any who care to comment, I'd greatly appreciate your opinions...

I have started using the product this month, and have experienced the 'pebbles' from CD4 (this is when I started using it) up until CD9 in the evening I got what looked like small amount of ferning. The next morning there was definite partial ferning and then that evening there was full ferning. This didn't surprise me really, as I suffer extremely short cycles and was expecting O either CD10 or CD11. However, the next day.. it went straight back to pebbles? And this is where I get confused...

I have read that it should go back to partial ferning before it goes back to pebbles. So....... I am wondering if I'm doing it wrong somehow? I only ever test when I haven't had any food or drink for 3 hours prior, and I'm very careful about not waiting too long before checking it, ie. the recommended 10 minute drying time. Any ideas? Please help.

Hi AngelHope. I had the exact same thing with Maybe Baby the first cycle I used it. It was all "ferny" in the evening then the next morning it was back to pebbles, not even the pebbles & ferns like the transitional period. I used it again that night and it was back to ferns. The only thing I did differently at night was leave it to dry for longer. The next morning it was showing transitional again. It's very confusing. I just took it as when ever I had full ferning I was o'ing, and that pretty much works because it only showed them for 2 days. I am sure you are using it properly, maybe just let it dry for 2 minutes longer (longer than 15 and it's innacurate). The Maybe Baby website says if you see pebbles when you know there shouldn't be pebbles, maybe it's not dry enough. Hope this helps and good luck!

I was the same - I found if I did three consecutive tests, I could go from pebbles, to partial ferning, to complete ferning! (Within an hour!!)

I decided to do a test run when I had my AF, and no ferns whatsoever, so I'm assuming that there can only be ferns when you're O'ing! Confusing, though, isn't it? :o
