Hi

My family are moving to Dalby at the end of this year for my DH work for one year.

I have never been to Dalby! I was wondering if I could get some advice from any Dalby mums?

catholic primary school?

kindergarten?

dancing school?

suburb to live in? (we will be renting)

playgroup?

I would also love to meet up with some BH mum and kids. I have a DD1 4 years, DS 2 years, and DD2 almost 1 year.

Thanks :flowerz:

Hi
Dalby is a great place to live.

There is a catholic school from prep to 12. My daughter went toa catholic school inBrisbane but when we moved out here we decided just to send her to one of the state schools, she goes to Dalby central.

There are a few Kindy's out here.

There are a couple of dancing schools I think.

There are no suburbs in Dalby, if you look at rentals on the net you will see they might say North, west, South Dalby. I live in West Dalby, but I don't think there is much difference.

There are a few playgroups out here, I used to go to the playgroup QLD one that they have on a tuesday morning at the st johns church in the middle of town.

Good Luck with the move, I am sure you will love it out here:yes:

What does your DH do?

 again

So DD1 is all enrolled and ready to go at Our Lady of the Southern Cross College.

Just wondering about what areas of Dalby are flood prone? I have heard that some areas are, some aren't?

From what I have heard the southside and anywhere near the Myall creek are, west and North side are not really flood prone. Would take a big flood to get near my place.

Congratulations on getting her enrolled;)

I think it would takeabit of rain to flood houses out. Last year when the Myall broke its banks I don't think any house were affected.

We lived in Dalby a couple of years ago, it was a great town. We lived on Myall Street and even though Myall creek flooded we didn't see the water near our house.
