Molar Pregnancy...anyone?

Hey ladies,

Well, DF and I started TTC in February of this year and fell straight away but miscarried in March. Then, in April we fell pg again and then at my 8 weeks (dating) scan it was discovered that it was not a fetus but it was in fact a Molar Pregnancy.

I had a D&C last month to remove the tumour and have just stopped bleeding but I have BTs weekly for a month and then monthly after that. We cannot TTC until my HCG has stayed at zero for six months :(. They also discovered I have a bicordinute uterus.

Has anyone else had a Molar Pregnancy and when were you able to TTC again? Did you fall pg straight away? Did you m/c afterwards?

Sorry for all the questions, I just hope we can try sooner.

My husband and I had a partial molar pregnancy at 18 weeks in July. We were told 6 months. Have had weekly tests and my HCG is down to 12 today and my OB said that is as good as negative and 6 months from now we can try. You are the first person I have noticed that is in Perth as well. I guess thats the case with a rarer occurrence.
I understand the pain in the loss and the awful wait. I can't imagine adding losing previous babies to the pain. I have been going through some on the research recently and much suggests that if you go down sooner within 8 weeks 3 months after that date is safe enough. I have mostly been looking at Partial Molars however. I heard that with compelte molars 12 months can often be recommended so 6 months may be better than that.
Nothing will make it easier however. I hope
that you can try sooner rather than later.:hugs:

I have had a twin molar pregnancy many years ago, back then i had to have blood tested every month till 2yrs after the loss. BUT medicine has changed a lot since then.

I went on to have 4 healthy children, no problems at all. (well 5 pregnancies, but had a still born bub due to rubella, nothing to do with the hydratitaform mole)
