This morning i noticed a weird mouth sore in my 23mth old :(

Its round and yellowish in colour... anyone have any ideas on what it may be??

The past 2 days she has also had a slight rash around her mouth and cheeks, which i thought may have just been from teething but now im not so sure??

:confused::confused::confused:

Hi there,

Is the mouth sore inside her mouth? I'm no Doctor, but if it is inside the first thing that springs to my mind is that it sounds like it could perhaps be a mouth ulcer?

I get them from time to time inside my mouth, they are round and yellow-ish in colour, usually last a few days to a week.

Perhaps she could have accidentally bit her lip and caused the ulcer, or have a bit of a cold which may have brought it on?

Sorry probably not much help.

If its on the corner of the mouth it could be a cold sore. Your doctor will be able to do a swab to confirm this.

Its on the inside of her mouth....on the inside of her lip

DF had a look when he got home and he said it looks like a mouth ulcer (he gets them from time to time too)

Doesnt seem to be causing any discomfort so ill leave it a few days and if it isnt gone by Friday ill take her to the Dr

Thanks Ladies : )

Yep sounds like an ulcer but be on the look out for anymore as it is the first sign of Hand Foot and Mouth which is very contagious.
