BFP with Pregnyl and light bleeding

Well I promised I would not would not would not POAS and would wait til my BT on Monday but here I am on Saturday night looking at my BFP. Trouble is I'm not sure if I should be excited or not. Here's my stats. Had IUI on 3/7/09 Friday so taking this as my O I am now 15(nearly 16!DPO). I have been having light pinkish discharge since 12dpo but is hasn't got any heavier for four days and still hanging around. I just POAS and got a BFP - the Pregnancy line is a lot darker than the test line, but it is a First Response Test and I hear they are pretty sensitive anyway. It just doens't seem like it would be an IB as it is pretty late and has been for four days. I am on Pregnyl and had my last injection at 11dpo. Anyone have similar experiences? I am trying to convince myself that I am just dreaming and there is no real chance but as they say hope floats! Any similar experiences to bring me back to probable reality until my BT on Monday greatly appreciated! :)

sorry to say hun, but I am pretty sure that pregnyl contains HCG, which might be what is giving the BFP.

(doesnt mean you are not preg ... just that pregnyl can affect the results), so try not to get too excited just yet.

:iagree: with Katiesmum....I was in exact same position. Pregnyl does contain hcg which will give false positives....HOWEVER...at four days after last hcg injection although you may get BFP they shouldn't be too dark in colour as the injection should be mostly out of your system.

I took a first response test at 15dpo and got a BFP having also had my last pregnyl at 11dpo...very faint line though. For me I also had the light pinkish spotting and it was true BFP and we now have our 3 week old gorgeous girl.

I really hope this is it for you...sounds promising but try not to get your hopes up until you have a definitive blood test. :fingerscrossed::wizard::babydust2:
